|2|Familiar Faces|

~O~

"What do you mean by whoever that was!?"

"He—!"

Bakugou couldn't reply to Kirishima's question as the elevator's doors slid opened with a 'ding' and they both saw another familiar face.

Bakugou and Kirishima turned to look at Todoroki standing in the hallway, waiting for someone. They both came out of the elevator and walked up to him.

"Todoroki!" Kirishima exclaimed, "Dude, I'm so glad we're not alone here!"

"You guys are here as well, huh?" Todoroki pondered. "Did you two saw anyone else on the way?"

"Anyone else?" Kirishima repeated his question.

Todoroki nodded, "Hm. I've checked around and there was no one on this floor... Except me. And for a place that looks like a hotel, it's pretty strange that we are alone."

"There wasn't anyone where we woke up either." Bakugou stated.

"Oh! But we saw Midoriya! And he wa—!" Kirishima was cut off by the ash blonde standing beside him.

"Will you quit it!? I told you that wasn't the damn nerd!" Bakugou exclaimed, a little frustrated by the fact that the redhead still believed it was Midoriya who they saw.

"Wait. Wait. Wait. You guys saw Midoriya?" Todoroki asked for confirmation, narrowing his eyes a little.

"Uh yeah... I mean not for more than a few seconds?" Kirishima replied, confused by his own facts.

"That... That just doesn't make any sense! I saw him too, just for a while before he disappeared in thin air." Todoroki replied, his tone rising.

"Tch. You idiots. How dumb can you be?" Bakugou turned away, "I just told you, that, for whoever he was, wasn't Deku." Bakugou scowled.

"You still haven't told us a fitting reason for that assumption."

"One; it's not an assumption. It's the damned truth. Two; if that was Deku, why the hell would he hide from us or run away? That dipshit would probably come here with us, muttering a thousand possibilities of what the actual fuck happened and wouldn't leave us alone until we got back to UA like an annoying guard dog." The ash blonde explained, folding his arms.

"Don't say things like that, man!" Kirishima said.

"I agree with Bakugou." Todoroki nodded after a while.

"Todoroki, you too?!"

"What? It's true."

"So, Midoriya is just an annoying guard dog to you guys?!"

"That's... Not exactly what I meant." Todoroki said, "Putting that aside, I don't specifically remember anything regarding previous events."

"Same... I don't remember anything..." Kirishima replied, but he did notice Bakugou narrowing his eyes as if trying to remember anything that could be of any value.

"Do you remembered something, Bakugou?" The other two boys turned at the blonde who was now rubbing the side of his forehead.

"I think... I think I know.... I have a feeling that I know..." Bakugou pondered, trying to figure out what was the memory that felt so close to him yet was easily forgotten. It felt like something big happened, something unforgettable. But yet, they had no memories.

"The class." The words left Bakugou's mouth so quickly he didn't even had the time to process what exactly he meant.

"The class...?" Kirishima repeated, confused.

"We were with our classmates." Todoroki suddenly said. It was all coming together.

"We were with our classmates? Then they must be here too! Maybe we are all just on different floors!" Kirishima exclaimed, a sharp-teethed smile making it's way to the redhead's face.

Todoroki turned to Bakugou, "He's right. The rest of them must be here as well. The best option will be to look around for them."

"Like I'm going to waste my time looking for a bunch of extras." Bakugou said, clearly uninterested.

"Bakugou, that won't work this time. We're stuck with no memories. But you see how you said one word and Todoroki remembered something? If the class will be together, we might get out of here faster than just going on our own and I'm positive we'll remember everything that happened. We need to work together. That means you need to work with everyone too." Kirishima said.

"Tch. Whatever."

"So you agreed, huh?" Todoroki asked.

"Shut up and get over with it!"

And so, the three decided to split up and search the different floors of the building for any of their classmates. They decided to meet back on the first floor after they found someone.

Kirishima stepped in the left elevator, Todoroki in the right and Bakugou in the middle.

With three simultaneous 'dings', the elevators doors slid closed and the search began.

~O~

Kirishima was seen searching through different rooms on the third floor.

This floor looked no different than the one he's been on recently, except for the fact that it had more rooms to stay in and a corridor instead of a whole lobby area. At first, Kirishima seemed to have no luck in finding anyone but that changed as soon as he stepped in the third hallway.

Kirishima saw Tenya Iida standing against a wall, waiting for someone.

It didn't take the class president another second before his eyes landed on the redhead who smiled widely after seeing him.

"Hey, Iida!" Kirishima exclaimed as he walked up to the other boy, "I knew I'll find someone!"

"Kirishima, what are you doing here?" Iida asked, his face held a concerned expression.

"No idea! We're just searching for the whole class to find the answer to that question!" Kirishima replied.

"We?"

"Yeah. Me, Bakugou and Todoroki. And now, you!" Kirishima replied.

"So, well," Iida looked aside before continuing, "Uhm. You didn't see Midoriya, did you?"

Kirishima felt a chill run down his spine.

"M-Midoriya...?" Kirishima said, "I did... On like, the fifth floor. Did you see him too?"

Iida nodded, "Yes. And I'm afraid to say that perhaps we shouldn't go near him just yet."

"Did he do something?"

"No, he was acting quite normal." Iida said, "But after seeing him Uraraka wasn't."

"Uraraka? Where is she!?" Kirishima asked. Iida, as a reply, pointed at the bathroom door next to him.

"She said she needed some time to get a hold of the situation. I was waiting for her when you appeared. She was... She was scared when she saw him. Or rather when he suddenly disappeared. She said something about how he shouldn't have been here in the first place. She said a lot of things that didn't make any sense, so I told her to calm herself down and then we'll do something about it." Iida explained. Perhaps, Uraraka remembered something.

"And... Did Midoriya say anything, you know, when he appeared?" Kirishima asked.

"He didn't say much. He only told us to be safe... But I don't see anything dangerous here at all. I wonder what he really meant." Iida replied.

And as if on cue, Uraraka came out of the door next to the two boys. She looked like she just had the worst nightmare. But she brought a small smile to her face when she saw Kirishima. She said, "Kirishima? Thank goodness there's someone else here too!"

"I know right! Also I'm sure that we'll soon find the whole class." Kirishima said, "But more importantly... How are you feeling now?"

"Ah? Iida told you?" Uraraka eyed the said boy before replying, "Don't worry about me. I'll be fine before you know it!"

"You sure?" Iida asked for reassurance to which the brunette replied by nodding her head confidently.

"I mean... I probably just overreacted after seeing Deku. I just had a really bad hunch all of a sudden and now that I've thought about it, I don't really remember what happened. I thought something's wrong about Deku. I'm sorry for worrying you." Uraraka said, rubbing the back of her head.

"It's fine." Iida then turned to Kirishima, "So, what are we going to do next?"

"Meet with the rest on the first floor."

~O~

After arriving back on the first floor, the three teenagers stepped out and made their way towards the lobby to see if anyone else was there too.

And fortunately, they saw some familiar faces. There stood Kaminari, Jirou and Sero with Bakugou near the couches setting. Tokoyami, Yaoyorozu and Ojiro where searching around the reception desk when they saw the three come in.

Todoroki was nowhere to be seen.

The teenagers grouped together and firstly were thankful that were together. Once they all calmed down a bit, they began to talk a way out of this situation; starting with their lost memories. As expected, no one had any clear memory of what happened. The last thing they remembered was a pretty normal school day. They all didn't leave the fact unnoticed that they all had a small interaction with Midoriya which only consisted of him passing them his signature smile and telling them different things which ultimately connected to the same point; be careful.

As they tried to find something within their heads, there came in three more students of Class-1-A with Todoroki; Ashido, Mineta and Shoji.

Now fourteen out of twenty students were present in the lobby — out of nineteen if you don't count Midoriya.

Just as Iida finished counting the students present, the remaining too came through the elevators, just as confused as the others. The same lost of memories and the same interaction with their green haired classmate.

"I don't understand anything at all." Kaminari said three times during that conversation and Jirou told him that he's just an idiot.

"No, but like seriously, what is going on?"

A cheery familiar voice interrupted them all.

"That's something I can explain!"

They all turned to the source of the voice.

Midoriya was sitting on the reception desk.
