Chapter two

Ritchie Pov

It's been a few days since I almost tried to kiss Devin but I couldn't because I wanted to ask him if I could then Brandon called me and now Devin has been ignoring me for the past few days I mean it's been like five days and last we talked it was Sunday it's Friday and I had like two tests, one essay which I finished now on my last class before lunch...

"Students I hope you are all listening You all are going to have a big project and I will put you all into groups of Four now Please write your name on a piece of paper and I will pick it randomly with three other names," The teacher said

I sighed and turned around to Brandon who was talking to David

Pat didn't look like he wanted to talk since he was texting someone don't know who though since he liked to hide his personal life from us for some reason I mean we are his friends

"Either of you got a piece of paper I can use since I used my last one on an essay," I asked Brandon and David

"sorry dude I was going to ask Brandon for one" David said Me and David turned to look at Brandon who turned to the desk next to me and looked at Pat

"Hey Pat do you have a piece of paper we could share," Brandon asked

"What oh no sorry all my classes have computers and When I need one I just ask the teachers here let me ask around," Pat said getting up from his chair and walking over to Devin who was on the other side of the room

David and Brandon went back to talking I just kept staring at Pat and Devin I don't get why I was so pissed off at the fact that they were talking I mean I think their friends I don't understand why I mean yeah I have feelings for him and Pat knows that so why am I getting

Jealous?

"Ritchie," Brandon said hitting me in the head "Ow what the fuck Brandon," I said turning to look at him "Dude you need to pay attention," David said leaning on his chair "David no leaning on your chair," The teacher said, "Sorry Miss" David said letting the chair hit the floor "so why do you keep zoning out and staring at your boyfriend," David asked me smirking a lil damn now he is trying to tease me about my crush on Devin

I stared dead at him and said "I could ask you something about Mario" I said David's eyes widen a little "He's not my- you know what screw this how about we talk about Devin and the rumor that is going around saying that Devin is blessed by Aphrodite which everyone is saying that's not true but I personally think it's true " David said "yeah we know that since we grew up with him and his mother's name is Mary and He has two older brothers who are in college out of state and on that note we know about this so call rumor well not really but the thing is Devin has this little curse well he calls it a curse anyway he has a soulmate because when his mom was in grease with his siblings visiting their father and she visited Aphrodite temple. His mom made a wish for Aphrodite to make sure her next child aka Devin never gets his heart broken and that he finds his true love which we all know to be called a soulmate. His mom left a simple golden necklace with a silver ring that had a small diamond on it and a gold dove feather. I guess Aphrodite enjoyed the gift and gave Devin a blessing " I said finished explaining it. David and Brandon turned to look at each other then looked back at me. David was going to say something but then Pat came back and ripped the paper into four separate pieces and gave one to each of us so we could write our names on it. I folded my piece of paper and took them up to the front and put them into a bowl not at all thinking about what I had said before. I guess looking back now maybe Aphrodite was probably trying to set me up with Devin I don't know this at the time

"But maybe I should have looked at my ringer finger sooner"

I went back to my desk and sat down

"Alright, group one will be..." Our teacher said pulling out a piece of paper and unfolding it and saying "Devin you, and Ritchie will both be in a group with Brandon and David" The teacher started getting more names out of the bowl

Me and Devin are in a group that's Great...

Now I can get to talk to him and maybe flirt with him I know I really shouldn't flirt with him but he's cute and I have a thing for him so what can I say

The bell rang

"So what's for lunch," David said getting up from his desk and getting his stuff together

"I have no idea," Brandon said "Well now we have to worry about the group project and I have to find a place for Lucas, Viper, Mario, and me to meet," Pat said sighing "Yeah.."I said "Actually you guys go ahead I will be right back I got to ask the teacher something," I said walking back into the classroom "Okay see you then," Brandon said

As I entered the class the teacher was walking out and I peeked inside. I saw Devin he was still there putting his stuff away "Hey," I said walking up to him slowly "Hmm oh hey Ritchie.." Devin said avoiding eye contact with me I'm being honest when I say this I was a little bit upset because of that "Is there a reason you're ignoring me?" I asked him

He sighed "Look can we not talk about it Well not at school at least in private We can talk later today since your Parents invited me and my mom over for dinner okay," Devin said looking up at me his brown eyes staring at me a strand of his hair got in front of his eyes it bugged me. I wanted to move it so bad but it didn't bother him so I let it be "Okay then bye," I said turning to leave "We also need to come up where we're going to meet up for the group project," Devin asked me walking beside me as we left the class and started walking down the hallway to the cafeteria "My place seems easier for me and Brandon and well David has a car but he also lives close so yeah," I said turning look at Devin softly," Devin nodded "Yeah it works for the three of you but I don-," Devin said before I interpreted him quickly "I can pick you up if you and your parents don't have a problem with that," I said starting to blush a little bit it wasn't notice able but my face did feel hotter "Oh are you sure I don't want to bother you but If you can that would be nice and helpful," Devin said softly turning his gase at me his eyes meet with mine
