CHAPTER 80
Aakarsh stared at him stoically, trying to figure out something out of his warning. For sure he wasn't giving empty threats. His eyes shifted to Palash's left and he saw Neel smirking next.
Things weren't going to wrap up as soon as he imagined. Aakarsh sighed mentally.
"Even if you got us arrested in the kidnapping case and drug dealing, how are you going to prove your innocence in molestation charges, Aakarsh? Don't forget, if I don't get that property, you would lose too… and in that case, you have much to lose considering the CEO nomination next year, brother!" Neel smirked, getting temporarily satiated by having pinched Aakarsh's wrong nerve.
Some audacity that man has!
Aakarsh kept staring at them silently. Things going in his mind were comparable to tiny storms but the control Aakarsh had on his expressions, didn't let them get an idea of his counter skills. He knew how to keep his actions and emotions in check and when to show them off.
"You can never change!" Vidyut was outraged, clenching his fingers in a tight fist. The young blood boiling at their nerves.
Aakarsh kept a hand on his shoulder, signaling him to calm down. He didn't want the trio to have the satisfaction of being successful in getting them infuriated.
"Let the time decide who is dreaming, Palash. I'm standing right here to protect myself and my family, so, I suggest you better think about yourself!" He breathed, calculatedly studying Palash's smug expression.
Then he shifted his gaze and made eye contact with Neel before warning him in the same low yet dangerous tone.
"The CEO nomination is my problem to deal with. For now, I believe you should care about yourself as to what you will answer in court when the judge will ask you about the project you proposed." His eyes pinning Neel under a scrutinized gaze.
The more he reacted, the better access Aakarsh would have to his weakness.
"I have already presented my project," Neel replied, suspicious.
"Obviously you did but only half of it, the police had found out another blueprint related to the same project in your office and also the bank statement of the hefty amount you took just for signing." It was Aakarsh's turn to smirk.
He swept a challenging glance at the three people being handcuffed to the chair.
"Now, I'll leave you three to keep pondering over your new problems as they appear soon before you… and Neel, till we meet again in the court, Goodbye, brother!" With that said, Aakarsh along with others left the room, leaving the three people burning in anger and revenge.

They were on their way home when Diksha got reminded about something.
"If you had an idea where Stuti was then why were you worried that night? All was under your control, right?" Diksha enquired, turning to Aakarsh who was sitting beside her, doing something on his phone. Vidyut who was driving the car and Neev being seated beside him, also had their attention on Diksha now.
Aakarsh pushed the phone into his pocket and looked straight into her eyes. He had seen the question coming beforehand and honesty will be the only noun in his answers.
"That's because I had guessed that they might pull another stunt of kidnapping you… but, when Neel said that I couldn't save my girl and then Badi Maa informed me that Neel was asking someone to finish off the drama, it hinted towards only one thing…" Aakarsh sealed his lips in the middle, not willing to complete the rest for the mere imagination of it was more painful than thousands of hell.
Diksha who was looking at him understood the unsaid and completed it, "That they have planned to kill me, right?" A query of confirmation.
Aakarsh nodded positively, drawing his eyes away for a second and then meeting back with hers again. "And that's why I panicked because had my bodyguards been a minute late, by an unfortunate chance, she would have harmed you! Though it was hard as my men were on high alert, you see, it comes out naturally. I can't help but worry when it comes to you." Cupping her face, Aakarsh caressed her cheeks.
The only relief keeping him sane after the kidnapping incident was his major control over the happenings, else the things were powerful enough to break him up on the very first chance.
His voice was slow as he imagined what could have happened that night. Diksha leaned into his touch and nodded, getting his words and emotions as piously as he felt them.
"Bhabhi, do you seriously have no idea of the tracker?" Vidyut asked, shifting their attention to him. A change in the air is what Vidyut aimed for his two favorite people right now.
"Not when Palash had kidnapped me. He told me about the tracker thing when I asked him how he found me while going back home that day." Diksha replied, looking at Vidyut initially but her eyes again locked with that of her husband's.
"Chalo, all's well that ends well! Now you guys focus on your reception and romance! Oh and yes, Krish, please do lock the door while romancing, we don't want to know how good you are at it." Neev said, exhaling dramatically as he teased the couple, making Aakarsh smack his arm and Diksha turned her red face towards the window.
She never imagined herself to feel shy at things which could have been easily retaliated with a savage answer… but here she was sitting beside her husband, going all red over teasing coming their way. Did it feel right and all gooey?
She blushed more at a chirpy 'Yes' from her conscience.
Apparently, this wasn't the end...there was more to come!

Aakarsh's POV:-
"You two go ahead, we are coming!" I pulled Diksha near me, confusing her with my actions, asking Vidyut and Neev to go inside as we had just reached home.
"What?" I asked in a bored tone when those two monkeys didn't obey me but gave me teasing smirks instead. They gave a known look to each other.
"Nothing. We were just wondering how long this 'we are coming' of yours is going to take?" Neev grinned, showing all his teeth.
"You two don't need to wonder, just go inside!" I glared at them,
"Let it be, Neev Bhai, bhaiya must have something important to discuss with Bhabhi, right bhaiya?" Before I could give Neev a befitting reply for his overly concerned question, my devil of a brother butted in.
These two idiot incarnations of monkeys won't let me have my wife alone in peace for two minutes.
"Chhote," I said in a warning tone, showing him eyes. Though I highly doubt he was Intimidated by my glare.
"So important that he can't discuss it after getting inside… interesting! What do you have so important that you can't wait till you get inside, Krish?" Neev chipped in immediately, rubbing his chin in a fake thinking sign, decreasing the leftover effect of my intimidation on Vidyut.
I couldn't help but grind my teeth!
These two devils very well know why I asked them to go ahead but, no, they have to be evil teasers today only.
"Nothing that concerns you, moron!" I grunted, eyeing them to go inside, but they wouldn't budge.
"Bhabhi, do you have any idea of what Bhai bhaiya has to discuss right here… it seems crucial to me!" Vidyut pulled Diksha into their stupid conversation, pushing her more into confusion as he feigned a serious tone.
My lady, when did you become this dumb?
She looked flabbergasted at their question, but when her mind clicked the whole thing, her eyes widened in realization and her eyebrows shot up. She immediately pulled a normal face, avoiding any possibilities of leg-pulling, but the damage was done.
A tinge of redness spread all over her soft cheeks and the first thing she did was try to maintain some distance between us. The teasing glances and grins from two of the idiots made her reluctant at her attempt.
"Arey, first he didn't reply, now you are all silent. Vidyut, we are hardly getting any answers today!" Neev exclaimed, sighing dramatically.
They were enjoying it all, rascals!
Inka sar phodne me kitna kharcha aayega? (How much will it cost to bang their heads?)
I was getting annoyed at their idiotic remarks meanwhile she squirmed beside me as the two idiots flashed their cheeky grins at her, making her all the way shier than she already was.
"I… I think we should go inside. Everyone must be waiting." She tried to remove my hand from her wrist, which I tightened eventually.
Naah, I ain't giving up, baby!
"Aakarsh," she whispered, looking at me, "leave my hand!" A soft mutter from under her breath, made me smirk in mischief.
"No," my smirk turned into a lopsided grin as I saw her struggling to get her hand free, ducking her face down to avoid my gaze, while at the same time her face and neck went all red like a tomato. If not wrong, my eyes also caught a glimpse of a shy smile on her lips which she was trying hard not to let out.
"Bhaiya, that is very rude to make someone struggle," Vidyut's comment made me snap out of my beautiful trance as a scowl made its way on my face and I turned my head towards them.
They were still here. Wait till your time comes, morons, I'll personally avenge my miseries.
"If you didn't go inside in ten seconds, Neev, I'll make sure Sejal sees the photos from my bachelor's night and Chhote, you'll be banned from eating chicken for six months." I used the ultimate power — blackmailing!
"I will die!" They both shouted in horror, though for two different reasons.
With those secret photos being shown to his better half, Neev didn't want an embarrassment for life and, for my brother, chicken runs in his blood more than oxygen.
"And I'm serious!" I smirked and played the last card, pulling my phone out, and it took them only two seconds to run at jet speed.
Diksha, who was a mute spectator till now, had confusion etched on her face as she tried to know what photos I sacred Neev with.
"Not now," I addressed the unasked and pushed the phone back into my pocket, before hauling her to my chest. A big grin stretched my lips. I finally have her in my arms after getting desperate the whole evening.
"Fina—"
"Krish, Diksha what are you doing there? Come inside!" A voice interrupted my words, making us jerk apart.
For the love of God, let me have my wife in peace, people! *Crying*
It was my grandmother standing at the threshold, looking questioningly at us. Before I could even think of some way to dodge my beloved Nani, Diksha made a quick walk towards her.
Perfect!
Ab karle romance! (Now do romance!)
"We were just coming in, Nani Maa!" She replied to her earlier question and they went inside leaving me all frustrated behind. But no issues. So what if I couldn't get some alone time with her now? I have the whole night left with us tonight — Our Wedding Night!
No one can disturb us on our wedding night, right? A grin stretched my lips again thinking about the speciality of the wedding night.
An imaginary scene of us being drenched in pure love flashed before my eyes and all those naughtiness came running into my mind as the thought made its happy place in my heart. It was leaping with excitement and an impatient hormone pulled all the right strings in the right places and my body buzzed with pure ecstasy. Some more hours and she will be back in my arms.
God, I can't wait now!
I happily walked inside only to see the ladies — all my aunties, Nani Maa, and Mumma — sitting in the living room circling Diksha. She had her eyes down, smiling shyly. They said something to her and a roar of laughter echoed from the group. I couldn't hear what they said but with her hiding her neck in Mumma's shoulder, I could figure out it was something naughty related to our wedding night.
Things are already on the right track! Perfect! My conscience danced crazily.
"Arey, Krish, come sit here!" One of my aunties noticed me standing there.
"You guys carry on, I have some work," Sweeping a lazy glance at my blushing bride, I politely refused.
Please, I don't want to get teased by a whole group of ladies!
"You can do the work later, Krish. For now, come here and sit beside your wife as after dinner you can see her directly in the morning. That means tomorrow only!" My head snapped in my grandmother's direction as she just dropped a bomb on me.
"What the hell?"
