CHAPTER 76
Aakarsh POV:-
"What? Neel told you! But why?" She was shocked as she looked at me with a puzzled face.
I know that was not the right moment yet I couldn't help but stare at her cute features. She had her eyebrows pulled in confusion and eyes shining with curiosity.
My curious wild kitten!
I smiled, kissing her palms, confusing her some more.
"He didn't know that he helped me instead of pushing us into problems!" I smirked remembering Neel's overconfident face that night. Not even in his dreams had he thought of his plan backfiring only because of his overconfidence.
*Flashback*
My cousins kept me busy with their silly teasing and fun moments, celebrating that night of my bachelorhood as they called it. Sometime later Neel came there and smirked at me. I knew he would say something and everyone's mood would get soured so I asked them to go back to their rooms except Vidyut and Neev.
"I wonder how people tend to enjoy short-lived happiness?" Neel taunted me as soon as the place was vacated by my cousins.
Firstly, I thought to ignore him and keep walking but he crossed my way and stopped me there only.
"I wonder how people stay calm when they literally have everything slipping out of their hands? Oh, sorry I forgot! You never had anything in your control." He gave me a smug look.
I was not interested in his talks but his words caught my attention. The confidence in his voice was definitely backed up by something.
"Don't try to mess with me, Neel! I'm no longer the same Aakarsh." I was pissed.
"Oh, warnings? Seems like you've gained some courage!" He chuckled, mocking me.
I chose to be silent as I wanted to know what he was there for.
"But what's the benefit? The fact is you could neither save yourself nor your to-be wife! What a pathetic loser you are, Aakarsh!" He chortled again but this time looking at the three of us as Neev and Vidyut both were fuming behind me.
His words made my doubts clear. Something was definitely not right. He had again done something and I could strongly sense it now.
"I'll count every word and make sure to serve you back in the harshest way!" I growled,
"Ohh, the strong boy is threatening here! First learn how to save your girl, baby boo! Who knows Diksha might —" He was mocking me again when I lost it and held his collar; I didn't let him complete his sentence.
"Don't you dare drag Diksha in all this!" I couldn't help my acidic tone. He had gone overboard mentioning my wife. Neev and Vidyut held me from behind trying to free him from my grip.
Neel smiled viciously at me and removed my hands from his collar, applying some force.
"She is already dragged into this game. Her kidnapping is proof. Now, don't ask me how I know this when you didn't let anyone know about it? Let's say, I'm just helping her out. Besides, who is going to face the ruins we will see in some time, baby boo!"
He laughed at my face and walked away before I could react to anything as my mind was running everywhere with bad vibes. Just at that moment, I knew he had done something that might harm Diksha again. Because this confidence couldn't come from a failed plan. I needed to check on her immediately. I was about to call Diksha when Badi Maa came there with a very tense face.
"Badi Maa!" I was confused to see her there at that time.
"Krish, I think Neel had planned something against either you or Diksha. I'm not very sure who it is but he had planned to harm either of you." She fretted, holding my arms, anxiously.
"What are you saying, Badi Maa? Please, tell me clearly what happened?" I held her hands, relaxing her.
"I was crossing his room when I heard him talking to someone on his phone before he came here. I didn't hear the whole conversation but the last words. He was saying ‘Finish the drama tonight. I don't want them to get wedded tomorrow!’. He disconnected the call then and straight came to you. I was following him when I heard him warning you. Krish, I'm telling you he is up to something very dangerous!" She almost cried and her shoulders shook in fear as she was done speaking.
The information fueled my doubts more and I felt like my mind would blast up when it linked everything. Neel was just warning me about Diksha as now Badi Maa's words. All were insinuating only one thing.
"Krish, I think you should check on Diksha!" I heard Neev asking me and before I could reply my phone rang up.
"Bhaiya, it's Leo!" Vidyut exclaimed as he had my phone.
I almost snatched the phone and pressed it against my ear, "What's the matter, Leo?"
"Sir, our men have seen someone trying to jump inside the backyard. They ran to catch him but he disappeared somewhere in the darkness." His words added more to my tension.
"Where is Diksha? Did you notice anything unusual near her room?" I almost yelled at him, signalling Vidyut and Neev to fetch the car keys.
"Nothing as of now, Sir! But until we don't get the trespasser, I can't say everything is alright." He said in a deep tone, which was enough to send me into a rushed wave of panic.
"Ask the men to keep searching for him but in the meantime, you and Roger don't go away from Diksha's room. I'll get there in five minutes!" I disconnected the call and by the time Vidyut brought the keys.
As Badi Maa heard everything she panicked for Diksha. I had to assure her too.
"Thank you so much that you informed me on time, Badi maa. But, please don't worry. I'll not let anything happen to her. Neel won't succeed in his palm this time. Please go back to your room and rest. And don't tell anyone about anything or he will get alert." She nodded and I left immediately.
Vidyut and Neev kept asking me to calm down but only I knew what I was going through until I didn't reach her house. It felt like my mind would blast and my heart would jump out if I didn't see her in the next five minutes. I didn't let Neev or Vidyut drive and reached there in exactly five minutes and relaxed only when from afar I saw you scrapping your Mehendi silently; all fit and fine.
My men informed me that they didn't catch the trespasser yet but they were sure that he hadn't left the premises yet as they heard some shuffling. Neev and Vidyut said they would search around the external areas while the men were searching inside.
I asked Leo and Roger to search near Diksha's balcony, but that was threatening to her so I decided to meet and keep her engaged until my guards didn't find the trespasser.
*Flashback*
I narrated everything to her and she was sitting there as a statue stunned at my narration.
"This all happened and you didn't find it important to tell me that night?" She asked me in an accusing tone, giving me a hard glare.
I cupped her face and rubbed her cheeks with my thumbs, calming her anger down.
"I don't want you to get panicked. It was already too much for me. All I knew at that moment was to keep you safe. I anyway had to tell you all this today. That's why I didn't tell you anything, otherwise, you would have got worried." I breathed and kissed her forehead.
Now that most of the things are settling down, I couldn't help but desire some tension free moments with my bride. She had closed her eyes as I pecked. She opened her eyes after a few seconds.
"What happened after that? Did you catch that man?" Her question pulled me back to that night and I smirked again.
"That's the interesting part of the story!" I chuckled,
"What?" She wondered in confusion again.
"Yeah. Both Neel and Stuti had gotten overconfident. And you know where the overconfidence lands people!"
"Where?"
"In trouble!"
"Why are you going in circles? Tell me clearly!" She was irritated and impatient. I don't blame her because I was deliberately pulling it longer.
"When we were talking you remember I had received a text?" I asked,
"Yes, and then you went away after giving me the box of Payal."
"That Payal I had planned to give you after the wedding but luckily it was in my car only from the time I bought it that morning as it came in use. I had kept it in my pocket while calling you as I thought to use it as an excuse, but before that, I blurted something else in a panicked state and you got worried." I chuckled but she pulled a poker face, remembering my words.
"Shut up! First, give me an almost heart attack and then laugh. Shameless!" She shrugged my hands away, turning to the other side.
This did nothing but convert my chuckling into small laughter. I hugged her tightly from behind as her back was facing me now. She wiggled and tried to free herself but I tightened my grip instead.
"I was definitely not in the right state to plan out anything, Jaan! Your safety was my concern. So, I kept saying whatever came to my heart, but trust me, none of those words was a lie." I pecked her shoulder a few times completing my sentence and heard a faint voice of her taking a deep breath.
At least my kisses work! Good going, Mr Verma!
"Okay, now tell me did you catch him?" She asked me without turning to my side, but yes, her hands were now on the tips of my hands, clutching softly.
"It was not he but she! Leo texted me that they caught him so I went there immediately after meeting you. We took the trespasser a few metres away from the house after checking everywhere clearly and were stunned to see Stuti dressed like a man. She was obviously shocked to see me there and tried to run but my guards caught her."
*Flashback*
"How did you know?" Stuti asked me when I smirked at her.
At the same time, her phone vibrated. Vidyut pulled out the phone from her pocket and while taking that out he saw a spray can as well. He took out that too.
"Bhaiya, it's Neel's message!" He showed me.
*Are you done?* The message read.
I scrolled up to see the earlier message and was amazed to see her stupidity. She had texted him around seven minutes ago that she had already reached Diksha's room when in reality she was nowhere close to that. The overconfidence that she will succeed got both of them trapped in my plan!
I chuckled at her stupidity and replied 'Yes', waiting for his response.
"You were asking me how do I know? The answer is your fiance. He told me that you're planning to harm Diksha." I provoked her and by that time Neel had also replied.
*Perfect! Now switch off the phone and meet me tomorrow!* The text read.
I smirked and replied an 'Okay', before switching the phone off. Obviously, tomorrow they are going to meet but not as they planned.
"You're lying. Neel would never do something like this!" She screamed, right on the road. At that moment I thanked myself that we had brought her away from the house.
"You only tell me how come we are here if not for Neel to inform us?" I asked her, feigning seriousness in my voice.
And that dumb girl really believed that it was Neel who betrayed her. We informed the police and handed her over. The enraged Stuti couldn't handle it and took bade Papa and Neel's names in front of the police.
*Flashback ends*
"God, it's too much to digest! I can't believe she was all there that night. What if she had something?" Diksha turned to me and shook her head in shock.
"She would have done nothing as even if Neel didn't have blurted all that or Badi maa heard him, my bodyguards would still have caught him the moment she would have approached your room. They were on high alert!"
"Ohh." My cute wife nodded in confusion and I knew many things were going on in her mind.
"But, how come…"
"Rest of the things you'll know by evening, for now, we should focus on ourselves!" I said cutting her sentence in between. My hands made their way to her bare waist, giving her an idea of my current thoughts.
"What are you doing?" She looked at me, asking in the slowest voice. Her breathing was getting affected. I can see that. I smiled roaming my fingers lazily on her soft skin,
"Exactly what a man should do with his newly wedded wife!" I rubbed my nose on her neck and kissed her there.
"Ohhh…" a faint moan escaped her lip when I sucked her skin. She had her hands on my arms, gripping them tightly.
Our moment immediately turned intense. I couldn't think of anything else but to love my wife. With the same intention, I raised my head from her neck and looked at her breathing heavily with her eyes closed and lips apart. What magic that scene created in me I couldn't describe. Her shivering lips were begging me to fuse them…. melt them with mine and I was more than ready to give in to our desires. I pulled her closer, snaking my arms completely around her waist and touched her lips with mine.
"Look at me, Jaan! Look at me when we start our journey with this passionate kiss!" I requested as I wanted her to look into my eyes when we would kiss for the first time after our wedding.
She opened her eyes, still panting. Her shining brown orbs locked with my desired ones as we looked at each other. Her eyes were speaking thousands of words… as if asking me to show them the prettiest way to love my wife. My gaze shifted to her lips, still craving my touch. My heart thumped loudly when she blinked allowing me to kiss her passionately when I met her eyes again.
The blissful moments wanted to wrap us in its charm and we did give in! I tilted my head to capture her lips, looking deep into her half-opened eyes.
Rubbing my lips with her again, I leaned, closing my eyes, only to jump apart in the next second.
"Krish, your bag wa — shit sorry!"
