CHAPTER 63

Writer's POV:-

"Miss Shrivastaw, you here?" Came a loud voice.

Aakarsh and Diksha snapped their heads back to look at the person who just entered. looking at the person occurs was normal but deeksha eyes widened looking at the man in front.

Her face was terror-stricken as if she saw a ghost. Before she could utter any word the person walked towards them and Aakarsh placed his laptop down.

"Good morning, Sir!"

"Good morning, Vivaan!"

Yes, it was Vivaan who came and Diksha turned white seeing him as nobody from the office knows her relation with Vermas.

"What are you doing here, Miss Shrivastaw?  Weren't you on sick leave?" Vivaan asked, getting all confused by the presence of Diksha in Nakshatra.

"I… I… came to give medicine to him…"  she stuttered in reply, not knowing what to answer.

This seemed to confuse him more.

"Do you work as a part-time nurse, Miss Shrivastaw?" Considering it the most sensible question of the moment we Vivaan asked seriously.

Aakarsh shook his head at their dumb conversation. Firstly, Diksha gave the lamest excuse then, Vivaan being the dumbest man asked the dumbest thing, which for him, was the most sensible question.

"What? No!" She almost shouted in reply. She couldn't believe Vivaan understood her for a part-time nurse by her excuse.

What more did you expect to be concluded from your sentence, girl?*giggles*

"No? Then why are you looking for his medicines? Are you…"

"Vivaan,"

Sensing the need of his interference in the conversation, Aakarsh interrupted, cutting Vivaan words in between before he could ask any other lame question considering it.

"Yes, Sir?" Vivaan immediately turned towards his boss as soon as he recalled that Aakarsh was also present there and he spoke too much in front of him.

"You came here for some work and not to conduct a questionnaire with my to-be wife," Aakarsh reminded him in a firm voice. As soon as Aakarsh completed his sentence, two heads snapped towards him in shock. Diksha bit her lower lip nervously.

Oops! Little secret out, pretty lady! *Winking*

"Wi… wife?" Vivaan stuttered, gathering some courage to ask this to Aakarsh.

Aakarsh shook his head positively and replied.

"Yes!"

"Ho… how?" Asked a confused and scared Vivaan.

He couldn't even ask questions more than required knowing the quick temper of his boss.

"How does someone become someone's wife, Vivaan?" Responding in a duh tone, Aakarsh raised his left eyebrow.

"By marriage, Sir!" Mentally applauding himself for his smart answer, Vivaan answered confidently.

Only if you knew, Vivaan! * Laughing*

"Exactly that, Vivaan… marriage! We are getting married in two and half months." Aakarsh said, controlling himself to not shout at him for his slow processing.

"What??" Vivaan snapped his head towards Diksha and back at Aakarsh, unable to digest the newly found truth.

"But… I mean…" he couldn't come up with any sensible question as he didn't know how this all happened and why wasn't he knowing about his boss yet!?

How come his boss was marrying a fresh intern? He couldn't understand this certain equation!

Aakarsh was getting annoyed with Vivaan's continuous questions and he was about to scold him when Diksha decided to interfere and save Vivaan from getting scolded.

"Vivaan Sir, actually, Aakarsh and I are childhood friends as our parents are best friends. So, they arranged our marriage. I hope you understand now!" She informed in a final tone not leaving any room for further questions to be thrown by Vivaan at them.

"Oh… yes I understood, Miss Shriv… I'm sorry… I mean… ma'am!" Vivaan corrected himself, realising Diksha's identity now.

"Ma'am?" Diksha widened her eyes, getting stunned on the word vivaan, addressed her with.

Aakarsh chuckled at her reaction on being called ma'am by his assistant.

"No, no… please don't call me mam do I am getting married to him but I am still junior to you. And I still have to learn many things from you, yet. So, don't make things awkward." She said, politely.

"Vivaan,"

Aakarsh's sudden call diverted his attention to his boss. Getting scared by his deep voice, Vivaan replied, scared a bit.

"Yes, Sir?"

"Now that you know our relationship, keep it in mind to not disclose the matter in the office. We will inform them after the wedding. Am I clear?" Aakarsh asked in his strict voice.

"Yes, Sir, absolutely!" Replied Vivaan.

"Good. Now show me the file."

Diksha excused herself and they spent the evening discussing the file brought by Vivaan.

Aakarsh's POV:-

"Get me my coffee, Vivaan." I ordered on the intercom as soon as Vivaan received the call.

Yes, I'm finally back in my office after the loooong gap of seven days. I still doubt how I survived this long without coming here or working.

Nevertheless, now I'm back and feeling extremely fresh and happy by sitting and working here in my cabin.

Ah, these files and the working schedule give me peace! Can't describe the feeling in words.

But, hey wait, don't think that I only feel peace in them… because she is my solace… my home. Since the time I have realised my feelings for her, she has become my life.

"Sir, your coffee!" Vivaan said, as he got in after knocking the door. He placed the cup near me and looked at me expectantly as if willing to say something. But, before he could say anything I heard some voices calling my name as if coming from the crowd.

"What is it, Vivaan?"

"Sir, the media has come to know about your recovery and I don't know who informed them but they are here to talk to you. We tried to dodge them but they are very rigid on not going before getting a word or two from you. They are shouting and demanding your appearance." He briefed the matter to me and I shook my head exactly knowing who did this.

"All right, ask them to calm down. I'm coming in a few minutes." I ordered him and my cabin door snapped open with Diksha coming inside.

"What's the noise, Aakarsh?" She asked me with a tense face.

"You go, Vivaan. I'm coming!"

Vivaan left from there and I stood up from my seat before adjusting my blazer.

"Media personnel. Someone informed them about me joining the office again, and now they are roaring outside to interact with me and, obviously, to see if I am alive or not." I chuckled, answering her question.

"But, who informed them?" Her inquisitive self made her ask again.

"That's for some other time. Let me calm the storm first." I winked at her before moving out of my office with her.

Writer's POV:-

"I'm standing all fit and fine in front of you all, I think that answers your question. So, I don't think I need to explain anything more." Aakarsh replied when a reporter asked him about how he is doing after the blast.

He was standing in front of his company entrance and several media personnel were standing surrounding him, asking back to back questions regarding the blast and his health.

When arriving there to interact with them Aakarsh had strictly ordered all of them to ask questions one by one and not just bombard the questionnaire series, if they needed the answers, otherwise he wouldn't answer a single question of them.

The media, being needy of his answers, agreed on his terms and they were literally asking one after another.

"But how did you escape, Mr. Verma? The car was in pieces when recovered. How did you manage to come out on time without any prior knowledge about the bomb?" Asked a reporter.

"Ah, for that I must thank my bodyguards. They have proven that they are the best of all.You yourself think if I would have known about the car why would I have driven it. So obviously, I had no prior knowledge of the bomb being in my car. Hence, all the credit should go to my bodyguards who have really pulled me out of death." Aakarsh replied, with a serious face which he was famous for. He hardly gave a friendly nod to anyone other than his family members let alone smile.

He has an image of a serious young man for a reason.

"Who do you think is behind this blast? Is it some enemy of yours, Mr. Verma?" Asked a female reporter.

"What's your name?" Aakarsh stared at her and asked.

"Haan?" She got confused whether she heard right or wrong.

"What's your name?" Aakarsh repeated his question in a dangerously calm voice.

"Raima… Raima Khatri." She replied, still not understanding the reason behind his question.

"So, Miss Khatri… I've been here to answer the questions of the media and not the police investigation. Who did this? Why did this happen? This all is for the police to find out and I am answerable to these questions in their interrogation only. I would appreciate it if you don't consider yourself a police asking investigating questions, rather be the media you are." Aakarsh replied in a firm voice making any other speculations of questions shut immediately.

Nobody from the media then dared to ask such questions which were related to the investigation of the blast, when they heard the authoritative voice of Aakarsh. He doesn't want the media to poke their nose in this matter more than required and spoil his plan.

The plan he had made to destroy his enemies. To put a full stop on them.

"I…" she started to speak but Aakarsh showed his hand, gesturing to stop right there.

"I think you all have asked enough questions and have got satisfactory answers. Apart from all these questions, any other query falls under the investigation zone which shall be done by the police. Let them complete their investigation. They will brief you soon on this matter. The session ends here. You all may leave now." Said Aakarsh in a final tone ending the interview session.

"Thank you, Mr. Verma!" Some of the reporters chanted as Aakarsh nodded at them before going inside.

While going inside the elevator Aakarsh called Neev.

"Neev, get all the papers ready in two months with ACP's sign on it. We are going to bring that matter to light. She has enjoyed her freedom too much. Let me give her the taste of her own medicine now."

"But in two months you're getting married, Krish." Neev replied, getting tensed for his friend.

Aakarsh let out a deep breath and replied in a grave tone.

"I'll put an end to her story before starting my married life. Humari shadi ke pehle uski barbadi hogi (she will be destroyed before our marriage.)
