CHAPTER 59

Writer's POV:-

Ragini was watching a show on TV. She switched to the news channel for today's headlines when the news of the bomb blast was on flash as the breaking news. She panicked and called Krishna immediately.

As soon as she received the call, Ragini bombarded her with questions.

"Krishna, ye TV pe kya dikha rahe hai? Krish kaha hai? (Krishna, what are they broadcasting on TV? Where is Krish?)" She asked, getting restless.

"Bhabhi, he is safe and okay. Don't worry." Krishna eased her building tension.

She sighed and relaxed her heart.

"Is he injured?" Ragini asked, her voice laced with motherly concerns. And obviously, since Aakarsh was the younger kid, she always had a special fondness and motherly warmth for him.

"He is! Bhabhi. But don't worry, the doctor said it isn't too serious. He is resting as his breathings aren't even yet. I'm worried about that." Krishna shared her worries, sighing in concern. Others were looking at Krishna as she was on the call. They understood it was Ragini on the call with her when Krishna called her 'bhabhi'.

"Don't worry Krishna, he will be fit and healthy soon. And, have faith in God. Everything will be fine. Take care of him. I'll come tomorrow; let him take complete rest." Ragini said, concerned for Aakarsh as Krishna said he is slightly injured and resting now.

"Okay, Bhabhi." With this, she disconnected the call.

On the other side, everybody was looking expectantly at Krishna.

"Bhabhi will come tomorrow to meet Krish. She was tensed for him." She informed others.

"Only her or bhaiya also? I don't want Krish to worry in this condition." Mrinal asked, creasing his forehead. He knew Aakarsh would definitely tense up if Abhay paid a visit to him.

"I didn't ask that but I don't think bhaiya would come. Don't worry." Krishna assured him and he nodded.

Till then Leo and Roger came back with medicines. Vidyut took it and asked them to go as he will interrogate the matter in the morning, it's almost 9 by now.

"Main de ke aata hoon (I'll just come after giving these)." He said and went up.

"Mrinal, PR team…" Krishna couldn't complete her sentence when Mrinal interjected.

"I've already instructed them to release the statement of Krish being safe and fine. And the relatives who have called after watching the news are also informed. Don't worry." Mrinal assured her.

"Hmm," Krishna hummed.

After talking some time both the ladies went to the kitchen to look into the dinner preparation as it was past dinner time and nobody had it being worried for Aakarsh.

They arranged their dinner, for the elders, on the table and decided to let the three youngsters have dinner in Aakarsh's room.

❃❃❃❃❃

Vidyut went upstairs to Aakarsh's room and knocked on the door twice. Diksha and Aakarsh straightened themselves as she was leaning on his chest and he had held her tightly in his arms while laying down, talking about something. She sat beside him and adjusted her top since they were messed up because of their previous position.

Aakarsh, too, shifted more comfortably so that it doesn't look like an awkward position for the person knocking on the door.

Just the cozy couple things! *Dreamy eyes*

"Bhaiya-bhabhi, main andar aa raha hoon (I'm coming inside the room)," Vidyut called them from outside the door, knocking it once again.

Diksha got up to go and open the door when Aakarsh held her hand, asking her to sit back with his eyes. Vidyut stepped inside and grinned at them.

"Sorry to disturb your romance, love birds, but the prescribed medicines are here. Here, take it, Bhabhi." He showed the packet to them and gave it to Diksha.

"Thank you!" She muttered a polite thank you with a smile.

"Bhaiya, ab to aapko pehle se acha lag raha hoga na (now you must be feeling better than earlier, right)?" He asked teasingly, smiling at Aakarsh.

"Kyun (why)?" Aakarsh raised his eyebrows at him, somewhere understanding the hidden reason for his teasing.

"Kyunki Bhabhi aapke paas se hili bhi nahi tab se (because, since then, Bhabhi hasn't even moved an inch away from you)!" Vidyut teased wiggling his eyebrows at Aakarsh.

As expected Aakarsh already understood his naughtiness but Diksha blushed at his remark.

Koi to tamatar ko competition de raha aaj! (Someone's giving a competition to the tomato, today)! *Winking*

"Chhote, why are you standing over my head, just sit down," Aakarsh said in a bored tone, ignoring his teasing.

"As you say." He sat down near his head only, making Aakarsh scoff at him. He grinned naughtily but didn't move away, and turned his head at Diksha to talk. Diksha was just looking at the sweet-sour bantering of two brothers, adoring their bond mentally.

"So Bhabhi…" Vidyut called Diksha.

"Haan"? She responded in a questioning tone.

Her mind was slowly getting habituated to the new word for her — Bhabhi.

"I believe Bhaiya must have told you that I was so excited to meet you, right Bhabhi!?" He said, enthusiastically, rubbing his palms.

"Yes, he told me about you." She replied, smilingly.

"Good, I don't need to introduce myself now. But, I'm sure we are going to bond so well. Mere Hulk jaise khadoos Bhai se bhi zyada (more than my Hulk-like arrogant brother)." Vidyut joked at last and Diksha giggled looking at Aakarsh's deadly expression.

Everyone believes Aakarsh to be a Hulk! He might be one! *Giggles*

"Tu mere paas baith ke meri hi burai kar raha hai (you are bitching about me while sitting beside me only)." Aakarsh held his ear and pulled it lightly. His breathing was more even and he is now in a stable condition.

"Aah, Bhabhi… bachao (save me)," Vidyut again fake cried.

Before Diksha could say anything, Aakarsh, himself, left his ear not before smacking his head once.

"Nautanki hai ekdum (such a drama queen)."

"Marte kyu rehte ho humesha ise (Why do you keep hitting him)?" Diksha scolded Aakarsh.

"Tum meri side ho ya iski side (you are on my side or his)?" Aakarsh asked, raising his left eyebrow.

"Obviously, meri side (my side), since she is my Bhabhi!" Vidyut grinned, showing his tongue to Aakarsh.

"Hello, she is my wife. So, she would be on my side." Aakarsh replied in a duh tone.

"No, no… she is on my side. Bhabhi aap hi bataiye inko ki aap meri side hai inki nahi (Bhabhi, you only tell him that you're on my side and not him)!" Vidyut dragged Diksha in his mini war with Aakarsh.

"Right, tell him that you are on my side and not HIM." Aakarsh playfully glared at Vidyut.

"My side..." Vidyut objected.

"My side!" Aakarsh countered.

"Stop it," they started to say together when Diksha interjected loudly.

"Stop bickering like kids, you two." She ordered, glaring at the two brothers.

"Sorry!" Both of them apologized cutely, making puppy faces. She couldn't help but smile at their faces.

Just then Vidyut's phone rang and he took it out from his pocket. Looking at the caller ID, he excused himself.

"I need to take this, I'll see you two later. Bye Bhabhi." Saying so he went out of the room. He didn't say bye to Aakarsh just to piss him off. But Aakarsh being the big brother knows all his ways; smiled and shook his head at his childishness.

He looked at Diksha who was thinking something and smiling.

"Kya soch rahi ho (what are you thinking)?"

"This word feels so weird…" she replied, shrugging her shoulders nervously. A small smile still playing on her lips.

"Which word?" Aakarsh frowned at her statement but her reply made him smile.

"This… umm… 'Bhabhi'... When Vidyut calls me that, it feels so weird but…"

"But?" Aakarsh asked.

"But, exciting at the same time. I mean I never thought of this side of our relationship." She replied, getting all shy again.

Aakarsh understood her feelings and replied sweetly.

"I understand. You know, I felt the same when Sejal called me 'jiju' for the first time. It is like our relationship has more versions, more sides, which we are still unaware of! And, it feels like it's connecting me to you in more ways." Aakarsh said, caressing her cheeks.

"Right, it's just…"

"Unexplainable!" Aakarsh completed her sentence and they laughed softly.

"Chalo dawa le lo (c'mon, take the medicines) and go to sleep. You have already talked enough, on the power of that injection." She said and handed him the prescribed medicines and a glass of water. He gulped and laid down again.

"Main aati hoon (I'll just come)," Diksha said and was about to go when Aakarsh stopped her.

"Kahan ja rahi ho (where are you going)?"

"Everyone was worried so nobody had dinner yet. I'm just going to ask them to have dinner." Diksha said.

"No need, beta… we already got your dinner here," Annapurna said, as she and Krishna came with a butler who brought two plates of food with him.

"Keep it here and go," Krishna said and dismissed the butler.

"Mumma, I was anyway coming downstairs. Why did you bring it here?" Diksha asked.

"Wo isliye ki tum dono sath me dinner kar lo. Vidyut neeche humare sath hi khayega. Usne bola hai wo apne bhaiya - bhabhi ke romance me kabab me haddi nahi ban na chahta. (So that you both can have dinner together and. Vidyut is eating with us. He said he doesn't want to be the third wheel between his bhaiya-bhabhi's romance.)" Krishna said, blinked at them, making them turn red in embarrassment. Both the ladies laughed at their expense.

"Now have your dinner and yeah, Diksha…" Krishna called her suddenly. She looked at her with a confused face.

"Haan Maa (yes Maa)?"

"Lock the door before sleeping… you see, we, as parents, don't wanna witness how cutely you two cuddle!" Krishna said and winked at her.

Aakarsh and Diksha's faces drained all their colour and their eyes widened.

There it goes like EVERY. SINGLE. FREAKING. TIME. *Laughing*
