Writer's POV :-

"Papa/uncle…" Diksha and Aakarsh shrieked at the sudden loud voice. 

They turned to see the person and to their horror, it was none other than Mayank. 

Mayank shouted as he saw them and listening to his voice the other three elders rushed there quickly.

"What happ…" Mrinal stopped in the middle as they saw the scene in front of them.

They stood there with their mouths hung wide open and eyes bulging at the sight of a fully drenched Aakarsh and Diksha. 

Yes, the parents saw them again! 

But, this time in a cozier way! 

Love & crazy,

They were wet & cosy! (* hahahaha*)

Though the parents knew they — Aakarsh and Diksha — were spending time with each other, whenever they had free time, to know each other better but never did they think of witnessing something more than a hug. 

Being the father of a girl, who happens to be his only child, it is highly weird for Mayank to see Diksha in the arms of Aakarsh, that too, in such a state.

The elders were gaping again and again not knowing what to speak or more precisely, unable to form any appropriate sentence to say to their children. 

No, they didn't do anything bad, it's just the elders were super awkward to witness something like this. Something which should have been under the secured moments of Aakarsh and Diksha's privacy. 

'Uhhu…' Mayank cleared his throat to avoid the awkwardness a bit, which got Diksha's attention, and she wiggled in Aakarsh's arms to get down. 

But Aakarsh being Aakarsh didn't budge an inch and continued to hold her securely. He kept looking at their parents with a blank expression unaware of the fact that this action of his is making them awkward. 

Damn! Man, sometimes our hero is a certified dumbest creature! 

(*author is writing this sentence after keeping a big black wala stone on her chota sa heart*)

Diksha wiggled again to get on her legs but couldn't reach the floor as Aakarsh was holding her right.

"Huh… what?" Aakarsh asked, shifting his gaze from the elders to her, as he noticed her continuous wiggling. He had this confused expression.

"Leave me, you duffer…" Diksha whispered, pinching hard on his arms this time.

"Oh, okay," He said, getting an idea of the situation, dropping her on her feet immediately.

They turned again to their parents who were just noticing the happenings between their children awkwardly after coming out of their temporary state of shock.

The earlier grinning couple was now standing there speechless, embarrassed, and nervous, not knowing what to say. 

Haste haste lag gaye raste.! (Landed in the way of trouble while laughing hard!) (*Yuck! My translation skills!*)

"So," Mrinal and Mayank said together and then looked at each other nodding their heads.

"How did you both get drenched?" Krishna asked, nodding at Annapurna, knowing very well that the two men will spend the entire night but wouldn't ask anything properly.

"Wo… Wo hum terrace pe khade the phir barish aa gayi phir humne socha aayi hai to chali bhi jayegi phir hum khade reh gaye par barish nahi gayi aur hum khade khade bheeg gaye. (That… that we were standing on the terrace. Then the rain came, then we thought that if it had come, it would go away. Then we stood still. But, the rain didn't go away and we got wet while standing.)" Diksha said in a breath but then shut her eyes quickly making a crying face, as she realised what damn shit she uttered just now.

Everyone chuckled looking at her nervous behaviour. Aakarsh just scratched his neck, realising now how awkward and embarrassing it really is!

"She meant we were talking when it started raining suddenly. We thought to wait for a few minutes as it was just drizzling. But, then it turned into a heavy downpour and we got drenched. That's it!"  Said Aakarsh, taking the explanation part in his hands. 

Though he himself was embarrassed now after realising the situation, he still came up with some words knowing how nervous Diksha is feeling to speak anything!

Ahh, someone's getting some brains!

"Yeah, we got it. Just make sure you don't stand still in heavy rain next time. Aur jao change kar lo warna thand lag jayegi (And, Go change, you might catch a cold otherwise)." Annapurna said, slightly teasing them. 

"Haan chalo chalo… (yes let's go)." Aakarsh said, holding Diksha's hand, leaving the parents as amused as ever.

"Krish…" Mayank called him as he turned his heels to move out of there.

"Ji…(yes)?" Aakarsh asked with a nervous smile turning towards him

"Diksha khud ja sakti hai, right? (Diksha can go on her own, right?)" Mayank asked with a straight face intimidating him. 

Bhai ladki ke Pita Ji se darna to banta hai! (Bro, it's fair to be scared of the girl's father). 

"Haan (yes)," Aakarsh replied, slowly.

"Then where are you dragging her?" 

"Me…  haha… nowhere, I was just accompanying her to her room," Aakarsh said with a nervous laugh.

"What a thought! Well done my child!" Menial said, mocking him in fake appraisal.

"What?" He asked, getting confused.

"Company for hardly two steps? Seriously Krish?" Krishna said, showing the distance between them and the door of Diksha's room.

"I'm going. Good night people." Diksha said and sprinted from there as she couldn't handle any more embarrassment.

"I'm also going." Aakarsh too almost ran to his door and closed it immediately after getting in.

"They think we are stupid!" Annapurna chuckled, looking at others.

"Haan jaise humne to kuch dekha hi nhi life mein (yeah as if we didn't see anything in life)!" Krishna added agreeing.

"Whatever it was… it was damn awkward people!" Mayank said, making a horrified face.

"Right, even though they are getting married, I don't think we are ready to (he sighs dramatically in between)… let it be… it's very late let's sleep!" Mrinal said and they walked to their respective rooms.

"Aaplog chalo hum aate hai thodi der mein (you both go, we are coming in some time)." Said Krishna to the two men, holding Annapurna's hand.

"Kya hua (what happened)?" Mrinal asked.

"Nothing, you go. We have something to talk to kids about." She replied.

"All okay?" Mayank asked this time.

"Haan baba, jaiye abhi (yes, go now)." Annapurna said, and the men went together after replying with a small 'okay'.

Writer's POV :-

Neel's mansion

"Mr. Smith I assure you there would be no legal issues or any other disputes. We will execute our project as planned without any hurdles. And the deal is still on. Don't worry about the court's order. I'm handling the matter. Also, my lawyer is skilled enough to eradicate such issues." Said Neel through video conferencing. 

He was trying to save the deal he had with the CEO of Amber Stone, Martin Smith. The project was very important for Neel and he is trying all in his might to not let it go.

Like the fire in the jungle, the court's order on Maninagar's property going under consideration — more in favour of Aakarsh — has reached the open ears of every business associate of KV Technologies and Hi-tech. 

Now, knowing the consequences of involving in legal orders, every businessman is skeptical. So is Martin Smith. He doesn't want to invest his money, time, and manpower in something which will create a fuss over time. And Neel is trying hard to keep the deal on. 

"If you have so much trust in your lawyer then I'm keeping the deal. But I won't be investing nor supplying any material until the case is closed and or comes in your favour fully. Get it done as soon as possible." Said Martin Smith.

"Sure. Just give me some time. You won't be disappointed." Neel said and they ended the meeting.

"So, how are you planning to make things in your favour because as far as I remember there's no way the court is gonna listen to anything till next year," said Stuti, who was sitting on the opposite side Neel all the time throughout the meeting. Though Martin wasn't aware of her presence, she listened to every word he spoke.

"I'm already very frustrated with whatever is going on. On top of that, you never leave a single chance to piss me off." Neel said in annoyance.

"Consider what I told you. My plan is perfect. No one will come to know and Aakarsh will be wiped out of everything easily. You'll get your property, I'll get my revenge. All it needs is just one night. Think about it, Neel." Stuti said before walking out of the room leaving a thoughtful Neel behind.

Are they planning something viler? 

Only time will answer!

Writer's POV :-

Aakarsh opened his door after 15 minutes, roaming his eyes everywhere just to ensure everyone's absence, and when he saw the coast clear he came out of his room and got inside Diksha's room, quickly locking the door.

"Thank God!" He huffed a good amount of breath keeping a hand on his chest after successfully entering her room.

Happily, he turned to greet Diksha but to his bad luck, both the ladies were present there with hands crossed on their chest and a devilish smirk playing on their lips.

His smile dropped instantly, leaving him in a state of utter shock! Gulping hard he froze there on the exact spot.

Caught again! *Giggles*

"See… we told you." Krishna slightly turned her head to back where Diksha was hiding her red face in embarrassment and shyness, behind the ladies.

"What did you tell?" Aakarsh asked his mother, licking his lower lip nervously.

"That, you'll come in 10 minutes and Diksha said you won't. Why would you show up now?" Krishna said, teasing Diksha who had denied all possibilities of his arrival. 

And, now that he came eagerly, she can't stop her blush knowing how her mother and aunty will tease her to no extent.

"Okay, I'm leaving," Aakarsh said, in a shy tone.

"No, sit over here. We have to say something to both of you!" Annapurna said, showing him the place beside Diksha.

He walked in silently and sat beside her but they didn't look at each other out of shyness.

The bickering couple has turned into a blushing couple! 

Proper pre-wedding effects! 

"Okay before saying anything we want to ask you both a question. Though we know the answer already, just answer it yourself for us to hear and get relieved." Said Krishna as both the ladies sat on the nearby couch which was close to the bed.

They got a nod in reply from the couple.

"Are you both happy with each other?" Annapurna asked with hope.

"And we want a clear answer in proper words, no nodding or gestures," Krishna warned them.

"We are happy Mumma… very happy with each other," Aakarsh said looking at Diksha who was looking at her lap still feeling shy.

Sometimes the wild kitten — as Aakash says — is really a normal girl; blushing on marriage talks.

"And you Diksha?" Krishna asked her. Diksha raised her head and looked at Aakarsh. Sharing a cute eye-lock she turned towards ladies.

"Yes aunty, I'm happy… we are very happy with each other." She said and looked at Aakarsh who was already looking at her intently.

"Okay, hold on, who do you think is aunty over here?" Krishna asked, raising her eyebrows.

"You… Why? What happened?" Came a skeptical reply from Diksha. She frowned more when Krishna and Annapurna shared a look and shook their heads. 

"Stupid girl, call me Maa or Mumma, as Aakarsh says. You were already my daughter earlier but now it will have the official tag after the wedding. So start calling me Maa or Mumma." Krishna said lovingly patting Diksha's cheek. And for Diksha, she just blushed harder at her words.

"And you too Krish, start calling me Maa or Mumma. No more aunty from now on." Annapurna said to Aakarsh who for a change blushed like his bride-to-be.

"Are we clear?" The ladies asked. 

"Yes," replied the blushing couple and sharing a look afterward.

"Hmm… I can sense you both are dying to talk to each other." Teased Annapurna.

"Okay, so now we are leaving. Though we were here to discuss a few things, that can happen tomorrow also. Alright, good night." Krishna said getting up from her seat along with Annapurna.

They walked to the door and opened it, but then turned to face them.

"And yes, you can spend alone time, as long as you want with each other, but no hanky panky till the wedding," Krishna said with a wink.

"Mumma…" whined Aakarsh, at the amount of teasing they are getting today.

"Okay okay, good night." Said Krishna and both the ladies went to their rooms laughing at their kids' expense.

"So…" Aakash said, smirking at Diksha, as soon as he locked the door after the ladies exit.

"So?" Asked a nervous Diksha.

He took predatory steps towards her, increasing her heartbeat. She looked here and there to avoid the building intensity. He came and sat closer to her. 

"Aa… Aakarsh we sho…" 

"I like you"
