CHAPTER 13

Writer's POV :-

1:00 PM, Nakshatra and KV Technologies (simultaneously) :-

Krishna Verma was sitting in the living room and arranging her schedule for tomorrow when a butler came and informed her about some parcel.

"Kiska parcel hai (whose parcel is it)?" She asked not paying too much attention as it was common for her to receive such parcel and gifts for her NGO.

"Wo to nahi likha par yahan Aakarsh Sir ka naam likha hua hai address ke sath." He replied.
(That isn't written but here Aakarsh Sir's name is written with address.)

Her head shot up and she got all attentive at the mention of Aakarsh's name.

It was Strange, because all of his parcels or anything of that sort, was always received by Vivaan in his office and never arrived here that too in the absence of Aakash.

"Bring it."

He came back after few seconds and handed her the parcel. She dismissed him and went to her room taking the parcel along with her phone. Without wasting a minute she called Aakarsh.

Meanwhile Aakarsh who was sitting on his chair with closed eyes and annoyed face receive the call and lashed out.

"Tumhe ek baar mein samjh nahi aata? Jab bola galati se laga matlb galati se laga...stop calling me again and again." He received the call and lashed out without checking the caller ID.
(Don't you understand it at once? When I told you it got connected mistakenly means it was connected by mistake... completely unintentional....stop calling me again and again.)

"Kaun nahi samjh raha..? Who is calling you again and again..?" The voice came from other side of the call.
( Who isn't understanding..? Who is calling you again and again..?)

"Aap..?(you)" He frowned on the voice of the caller.

Immediately pulling his phone off his ear, he check the caller ID. looking at the name of the caller he again attached it to his ear.

"Maa" he said closed his eyes for 2 seconds and sighed regretfully.

"Sorry I...I... didn't checked the ID and shouted on you by mistake." Regret was evident on his face.

He was feeling guilty. How couldn't he? For a man like Aakarsh, his parents are his world, his life; he can't even think of raising his voice in front of them let alone at them. Then this was a complete rude behaviour, whether intentionally or unintentionally, he did shout! He was highly disappointed at himself.

"Tu kispe itna gussa ho rha hai, Krish?" She asked.
(Whom are you getting this much angry on, Krish?)

"Koi ni Maa, wo ek wrong number tha, galati se uspe text chala gya to udhar se call aa rha tha, dimag kharab kar rakha hai tab se, bas usi ka call samjh ke I shouted. Sorry." He replied.
(No one mom, there was a wrong number on which I texted by mistake, but after that I'm receiving calls from that number. It had gotten on my nerves since then. That's why I mistook your call to be that one and I shouted. Sorry.)

Had he not been this tensed, she would have asked right away. But, sensing his mood and condition, Krishna Verma decided not to tell or ask anything about the parcel over phone.

"No problem beta(son)....you just calm yourself down. Hmm?" She said softly.

"Hmm. Acha bataiye kuch kaam tha, aapne call kiya abhi?" He asked.
(Hmm. Okay tell me, was there some work, you called now?)

"Kyun, main aise hi call nahi kar sakti?" She asked with a smile.
(Why, can't I call just like that.)

"Are nahi maa, wo aap aise office hours me call nhi karti na, isiliye pucha." He too smiled. All his tiredness and frustration vanished just by listening his mom's soothing voice and imagining her smile, his favourite.
(Not that mom, actually you don't usually call at office hours, that's why I asked.)

"Tu thak gaya hai na beta...itna kaam kyun karta hai ki apni thakaan bhi tujhe mehsoos nahi ho rahi?" She asked.
(You're tired, right son....why do you work this much that you're unable to realise your tiredness even?)

He got surprised hearing his mother's words. Realisation struck him, indeed, he was dead tired today. But the question was how come his mother know this when he himself was oblivious to this fact?

"Maa aapko kaise pta chala?" He asked surprisingly.
(Mom how did you come to know?)

"Beta ji, Maa hoon teri, sirf saansein sun ke bata sakti hoon mera bacha kis haal mein hai." She said.
(Son, I'm your mother, I can explain your whole condition just by listening you breath.)

Indeed Mother is the most unique and wonderful creation of GOD. He was overwhelmed with several emotions. They both were silent for few minutes.

"Mamma" he called her lovingly.

"Beta (son)" she too replied softly with same tenderness, motherly love and warmth.

"I love you, you know that right?" He asked.

Krishna Verma smiled at her son's childlike behaviour. The mother in her was getting emotional with happiness. Ohh! How much she has longed to hear and see this side of her beloved son.

"Of course beta and mamma loves you too my baby." She replied softly wiping her tears.

At the same time they heard a knock on his cabin's door. It was Vivaan, who came in 20 minutes, sharp.

"Yes Vivaan." He said allowing him to come in. He came and stood there silently seeing Aakarsh busy on phone.

Krishna who heard this, spoke before Aakarsh or Vivaan could say anything.

"Krish, maine call kiya tha ki aaj main jaldi ghar aa gayi to maine tum dono ka favourite khana banaya hai lunch me. Ab dono baap-bete, bina der kiye, jaldi ghar aa jao. I'm waiting. And NO EXCUSES." She said the last two words a bit sternly, knowing the nature of his workaholic son.
(Krish, I called you to inform that, since I came home early today, I cooked favourite food of both of you. So you both father-son come home soon. I'm waiting. And NO EXCUSES.)

"Alright Maa...aa raha hoon...Aapne papa ko bola..?" He asked.
(Alright mom... I'm coming...did you inform Dad...?)

" Nahi... tu bol de aur jaldi aa ja." She replied.
(No...you inform him.)

"Okay"

They disconnected the call and Aakarsh shifted his focus on Vivaan.

✴️✴️✴️

Vivaan who was witnessing all this and noticing his boss's reaction till now, wondered in his head.

"What happened to this hulk that he became the calmest creature of this planet." Little did he know this all was called a Mother's 'magic'.

He heard Aakarsh calling his name.

"Vivaan"

"Ye...yes Sir?" Again a timid goat, you see.

Aakarsh gestured "what" with his hand and eyebrows, approaching him to speak something more than a "yes Sir".

"Sir, I found out what went wrong Sir. I talked to Mr. Mehra's secretary. I informed him about the whole fiasco and asked him about the number, then he told me that he might have misspelled the digits. When I cross checked the number with him, again, it came out that he indeed misspelled the the last two digits of the number. Hence resulting this mishap." Vivaan filled him with the entire thing which he found.

"How irresponsible! Didn't you ask him the reason behind his carelessness. It could have cost us anything." Aakarsh said.

"Sir I did tell him. But he said there was an emergency which needed his attention at that time, that's why he didn't know what mistake he did. He sent you his heartfelt apologies. And promised not to repeat this kind of behaviour in future." Vivaan said.

"Such an irresponsible behaviour is intolerable, but I'm letting it go because it happened for the first time, and there will be no next time if it got repeated. And you...you better be ready with your things to get thrown out of here, if anything of that sort, happens." Aakarsh warned him.

Though he warned in rather strict tone, yet it was gentle. He was sounding calmer than his usual self. This surprised Vivaan to the core, but he was happy that he got spared from his anger, whatever may be reason. He made a mental note to take extra care of such things from now onwards.

"Okay Sir." He replied.

"Alright...is papa free from his meeting?" Aakarsh asked him.

"Yes Sir, he just ended his meeting few minutes ago." Vivaan replied.

"Okay then cancel all the meetings and appointments of both of us, for today. We're leaving in few minutes."

"Sure Sir."

✴️✴️✴️

Aakarsh's POV :-

I came to dad's cabin to inform him about mom's order.

"Teri Maa be bulaya hai (Your Mom called) ?" He asked smilingly and I can't afford to miss his loving expression and the shine in his eyes at just a small mention of Mom.

Ohh! how much they love each other that a mere mention of each other's name gave them this much happiness. I love to see their reaction every time.

"Ji (yes)" I replied.

"Phir to chalna hi padega warna teri Maa do din mujhe silent treatment degi gusse mein. Aur jab wo gusse me ho to usse lagna matlb bhookhi sherni ke mooh me haath dalna." He said in somewhat sacred tone.
(Then we must go otherwise she'll give me silent treatment for two days, in anger. And messing with her, whenever she's angry, means to put your hand in a starving lioness's mouth, willingly.)

"Scared? Are we?" I asked hiding my grin which was threatening to come out next second.

"Scared! Aur main...huhh...main koi darta- warta nahi hoon. Wo to bas use khamkha pareshan kya karna, yahi soch ke usko naraz nahi karta warna...warna..." His words got stuck in between as he was thinking what to say next to support his statement. I was having a hard time to control my smile.
(Scared! And me...huhh.... I'm not any kind of scared or something. It's just why to trouble her unnecessarily, with this thought I don't make her angry otherwise... otherwise...)

"Warna...(otherwise)..." I asked trailing behind his words.

"Warna...haan...warna wo mujhe match nahi dekhne degi. Ab chal jaldi nahi to late ho jayenge." He said and got up from his chair.
(Otherwise...yeah... otherwise she won't let me watch match. Now let's leave fast lest we'll be late.)
I shook my head smilingly. They are just amazing.

We came home and saw Mom setting the table. She noticed us and came towards us. She has this warm welcoming smile on her face.

"Go get freshen up and come down fast, I'm serving lunch, till then." She told us.

We nodded and moved to get freshen ourselves up.

We came down and sat to have our food, scratch that, delicious food cooked with love by my Mom.

"Beta, tera koi parcel aaya hai." Mom said between our lunch.
(Son, there's a parcel for you.)

"Parcel..yahan (here)??" I frowned while chewing a morsel of food.

"Haan, main bhi yahi soch kar hairan thi... kyunki tere sare parcel ya letters ya koi bhi chiz to bas Vivaan receive karta hai na wo bhi office me, phir ye yahan kaise..?" She too frowned.
(Yeah, I too was astounded, because all your parcels or letters or anything of that sort, is received by Vivaan only that too in office, then how come it's here..?)

I was pondering over mom's words when suddenly something struck my mind.

O God No....

No...no...this can't be happening.

Mamma - Papa mustn't come to know about this!!
