3rd Person POV

In the Living World, in an alley behind a local coffee shop in Chicago, a hellcat crawled out of a burrow after batting aside a cardboard box that'd been covering it that went under the pavement and shook itself off before dipping down in a stretch and straightening back up to shift into Ayden's demon cat form so she could stretch her arm out to open a portal to Hell on the wall behind her.

"Hup!" She leaped through to land in front of an apartment just as loud music was heard in the approaching distance and the I.M.P. van screeched to a stop in front of Ayden so she could throw open the door and jump in with Millie and Moxxie in the back, slamming the door shut behind her as they sped off to I.M.P. headquarters in the span of a few seconds.

As the van was bumping along down the road, a rock song came over the radio that Blitzø seemed to recognize from the way he yelled,

"I love this song!"

Before trying to sing along with it,

♫ You were a spicy little-uh-Demon with the-uh-bleach blonde haaaair! ♫

Rocking out to it while Loona looked only mildly annoyed as she kept scrolling through her phone, Moxxie and Ayden tried to cover their ears, and Millie rolled down the window closest to her to stick her head out smiling, looking back to Ayden to gesture for her to do the same but she just shook her head and "whispered" to her,

"'at's more a dog's thing."

Not-so-subtly looking to Loona who hadn't heard her just as Blitzø kept singing,

Just as they pulled into the crowded parking lot about to make it to the company's parking space, a pink, topless car with a license plate that read "SUCKS-4-LIFE" pulled into their parking space forcing Blitzø to yell as he honked the horn,

"Oh, shit! Fu-"

Right as he slammed on the brakes to make the van skid to a stop, much to Ayden's dismay as she shrieked and dug her claws into the seats to keep herself from flying out the window, leaving deep scratches in the seats.

"Oh, you 'suck for life', do ya?!" Blitzø hissed before he pulled out a megaphone and shouted into it, "Listen up, you unoriginal pink cum dump! You have three goddamn seconds to get your tits out of my parking spot-"

But stopped as soon as he saw the passenger of the car and yelled in surprise,

"Oh, shit! Verosika!"

Ayden raised an eyebrow at the fact that Blitzø knew the woman in question and looked out the window to see that she was a pink-skinned succubus with long pink hair, a tail, and wings wearing a short dress under a large fur coat, round sunglasses, thigh-high razor-sharp heels who blew a bubblegum bubble before snapping,

"Blitzo."

"I should have known you'd be here. I could smell fish for miles, which is odd because I believe the nearest ocean is-" Blitzø was cut off as he fell out of the window from leaning too far out before finishing his rant with, "-three Rings DOWN!"

"And I should have known you'd be here when I heard the Amber Alerts." Verosika retorted.

"Oh, yeah? I'm surprised they let your fat ass outta rehab. I can see you're still a drunken whore, clutching onto that Beelzejuice bottle like it's the last cock in Hell!" Blitzø insulted referring to how Verosika was holding a pink, black, and white flask before she told him while flipping her hair dramatically,

"They let me out because I'm still famous. And rehab is for sad, loser wash-ups." She took a drink from the bottle and wiped a bit of Beelzejuice from the corner of her mouth as she added snidely, "So, your sister says 'Hi.'"

Blitzø stepped right up to her face as he demanded,

"Why are you parkin' here?! This is the ONLY parking spot my company has! So take your tampon race car somewhere else!"

"Actually, prick. It has my name on it." Verosika pointed down at the ground where I.M.P. had been crossed out with pink spray paint and replaced with Verosika's name as she started to explain with another dramatic hair flip,

"I'm doing a bit of freelance for one of the infinitely more successful companies in the building..."

"Uhh so who 'xactly is that?" Ayden asked Loona and she snapped to look back at her as she whisper-yelled,

"Are you shitting me right now?!"

Causing Ayden to just raise an eyebrow at her in a 'no?' way before she growled and told her,

"Verosika Mayday? Only one of the biggest names in pop music in all of Hell."

"Eh 'm more of a punk listener mahself." Ayden shrugged before Blitzø caught their attention and she tuned her hearing back to their conversation as he yelled,

"A WEEK?! No, no, you are NOT parking here for a fuckin' week!"

"~Awww, you mad, Blitzo~?" Verosika taunted him as she took off her sunglasses and started to fume, "You gonna run off, leaving someone else to pay for the hotel room, steal their car and run-"

"run three rings to Wrath and max MY credit cards on shitty horse riding lessons?!"

The last part was chorused by both Verosika and Blitzø making Ayden raise both eyebrows at what her boss did before he yelled at her,

"Goddamn it whore, you will NOT let that go!"

"Choke on a sandpaper cock." Verosika flipped him off as she started to walk away but Blitzø started to threaten her,

"HOLD ON! You better move that pussy wagon right now, or I'm gonna-"

Before a shadow engulfed him and he looked up to see a giant hellhound with a scarred eye wearing a ripped, sleeveless leather jacket over a black undershirt and ripped gray jeans as he growled at Blitzø,

"You'll what?"

"Or I'll-uh-uh, I-I'll call HR!" Blitzø stuttered before declaring and, after a split second of silence, the three of them laughed awkwardly in a way that reminded Ayden of a sitcom before they stopped and Verosika introduced the hellhound,

"Anyway, meet my new Hellhound, Vortex. Unlike you, he actually does his job well."

The two of them walked off with Verosika glancing over her shoulder to flip off Blitzø as she told him,

"Ta-ta, fuck stain."

"Ugh, I wasted so much time with a bag of holes like that." Blitzø muttered to himself and Ayden nearly jumped out of her seat when Loona kicked the van door open to step out and yell at him,

"You know Verosika Mayday?!"

"Huh...?" He looked confused for a second before answering in a nonchalant tone, "Oh, yeah. Her, yeah. We dated."

"Was it before or after she became a pop star?" Millie questioned as she stuck her head out the van before Moxxie opened the door to the other side of the van and stepped out to question shouting in disbelief,

"You dated a pop star?!"

"Okay, why are you all acting like that's such a shock?" Blitzø questioned and Loona was happy to answer with,

"Hellooo, it's Verosika Mayday?"

"It's you?" Millie added before Moxxie tried to rationalize,

"I just... Is she blind?? Suffering some form of brain damage?"

"I mean he managed to bag Stolas di'n't he?" Ayden pointed out, really not getting why they were making a big deal out of this.

"That's not-grr! Okay, look, you are all making this into a way bigger deal than it needs to be. I don't pry into your stupid personal lives." Blitzø tried to brush them off before Moxxie, Millie, Loona, and Ayden all disagreed respectively,

"You do that all the time, sir!"

"Come on, you kinda do that."

"You totally do that."

"Bo'derline stalker."

"What was sex with her like?" Millie questioned with a mischievous smile making Moxxie gasp, taken back,

"Millie!"

"Whaaaat?! It's a pop star! You'd wanna know what sex with Michael Crawford was like."

"Who?" Ayden questioned and Loona slapped the back of her head snapping,

"What do you live under a rock or something?!"

Making Ayden about to snap something back when Moxxie cut in with,

"Touché."

Before Blitzø brought their attention back to the matter at hand as he devised,

"Okay, look, let's just drop it! Millie, jus-find a temporary spot for that truck." Tossing his keys to Millie who caught them and she hurried to the driver's side before telling the others, "Okay, Loonie, Moxxie, Ayden, let's go handle this shit."

After a, more or less, quick elevator ride up to the 6th floor, the four of them were stepping out when Loona started to express nervously,

"Do you think they saw me? Fuck! I did my makeup shitty today!"

"Looks the same 's always ta me.."

"Well what do you know?!" Loona snapped back at Ayden before Blitzø smiled at his adoptive daughter with his eyes shining,

"Don't listen to her, you look perfect, Loonie! ~Like always~"

Loona narrowed her eyes and scowled,

"Shut UP, da-"

Loona caught herself as she was about to call Blitzø 'dad' when she saw his adoring face and shoved him aside as she corrected herself,

"Urgh! Blitzø!"

The whole scene made Ayden slightly angry for some reason before she stopped so she wouldn't bump into Loona as she bumped into Vortex with a quick,

"Oof! Oh. Woah..."

When Vortex glanced down at her she started blushing and wagging her tail which Blitzø caught onto so he shoved himself between the two of them with his arms out as he asked him,

"Hiiii, big man. Where's your bitch bag of an employer?"

"She's in her office." Vortex pointed back to the room whose doors were spray painted on with the letters "V" and "M" that was right across the way from the I.M.P. office as he added, "There wasn't room on the second floor, so they rented one here on this one. It's cheaper."

"Oh, COME ON!" Blitzø yelled at the thought of seeing his ex every single day she was there.

"Sorry, man." Vortex scoffed before walking away leaving Blitzø to mutter,

"Oh, no you don't, bitch."

"Sir?" Moxxie spoke up and suggested to Blitzø, "How about you let me go in and try to reason with her? I don't really listen to what's classified as 'pop genre' music, so her status to me is name recognition alone. In my opinion, her music is a bit derivative of-"

"Moxxie shut the fuck up!" Blitzø snapped at him making him stop and get on with it with a,

"Alrighty, then." As he started to head over to her office with Ayden following him as she told him,

"I'll come for backup."

"Not that I need it but alright."

Moxxie agreed to it and they both walked into the office to see Verosika and her posse of succubus demons inside what looked like a music recording studio with music thumping from large speakers around them before Moxxie started to try to explain with Ayden standing behind him with her arms crossed,

"Hello, Miss Verosika, was it? I work for I.M.P., and it is actually rather important for us to retain the singular parking space we were assigned, because-"

"Aw, look at the little one. ~He's got a wittle bow tie!~" One of the succubus in Verosika's posse by the name of Coco patronized Moxxie before another by the name of Apple snuck up behind Ayden and made her jump by running a finger up her spine as she practically purred,

"~And a spunky little kitty~"

"Please don't condescend me, ma'am." Moxxie tried to protest while Ayden whipped around and held a fist up as she yelled,

"You wanna go ya slagger?!"

"~Ooh you like it rough? Wanna three-way?~" Coco came up to tease her with an arm slung around her girlfriend Apple's shoulder while another succubus named Josh asked Moxxie,

"Want a kissy, little guy?"

"A kind offer, but... I'm married." Moxxie tried to decline but soon he and Ayden were pushed closer together as the succubi started to crowd around them with Verosika leading them as she suggested,

"Hey... why don't you two send a little message from me back to your limp-dick boss?"

All of them shifted to their full demon forms to swarm over the two of them and Ayden swatted around to try to fight them off but felt rough touches around her back, chest, face, neck, and legs with Moxxie enduring the same thing from the way he screamed,

"Don't touch that!"

"Moxxie, Ayden don't let her access any of your holes!" Ayden vaguely heard Blitzø try to warn them but it was when she felt someone unbuckling her shorts belt that she heard a voice in her mind she would've rather kept down,

'~Ya like that lil Aussie~'

"YAAHH!" Making her yowl as she clawed down on the hands before yelling with her eyes practically glowing in anger, "Next one ta touch me loses a hand!"

Before some jeering laughs sounded and a pull on her tail made her shift into hellcat form in a panic as she and Moxxie ran out of the room, Moxxie leaning against the door panting as he was covered in lipstick kisses for a few seconds while Ayden in her hellcat form straight up bolted back to the I.M.P. office in a puff of dust.

"I... I gotta go lie down... now." Moxxie stuttered out in a shaken tone as he attempted to walk back to the office behind Ayden only to fall face first barely past the doorway as Blitzø shouted before going to barge into Verosika's office,

"Oh, this won't STAND!"

Meanwhile, Ayden had darted under Loona's desk, not caring if she got yelled at by her with her paws over her head and her tail curled around her, shaking like a broken-as-fuck dryer as more voices started to bombard her mind,

'HAHA look at that pancake chest!'

'More scars make you look hotter...'

'Don't be such a prude, ~have little fun.~'

'Why don't you take it like the cheap little bitch you are?!'

"You doin' OK sweetie?"

Millie's gentle voice broke her out of her panicked state and she saw that she had gotten back from parking the van and had been picking her husband up from the floor when she'd noticed Ayden under the desk.

Ayden was quick to get up and walk out from under the desk to shift back to her cat demon form to yelp,

"'m fine!"

Smoothing her crop top and shorts back out, not noticing she had a kiss mark on her cheek so Millie tried to point it out,

"You umm got a lil' somethin' there..."

So Ayden tried to wipe away the mark with her paw but she kept rubbing at the wrong spot.

"Here..." Millie grabbed a napkin from a nearby table and licked the tip of it to gently clean the lipstick mark off of Ayden's cheek making her stare at her, unused to the gentle care, before she finished with, "There ya go!"

Ayden touched her cheek before thanking her,

"Uh thanks.. Millie..."

"It's no problem, Mox might need a little more help..." She sighed at the sight of her limp husband over her shoulder and Ayden grimaced as she remembered,

"Yeh those deviants were pre'y relentless..." Adding with a shudder, "and invasive..."

"Yoooouuu're tellin' me..." Moxxie slurred out, barely coming back to his senses.

He had taken the napkin from his wife to start wiping off the kiss marks from his body and clothes when he noticed how Ayden's paws were still slightly shaking as she was rebuckling her shorts belt so he asked,

"Are you alright?"

"Yeh 'm fine." Ayden tried to brush his concern away but he and his wife shared a worried look when Moxxie tried to put a hand on her shoulder and she flinched away so he tried to assure her,

"Look... I won't pretend to know everything about Aroace-identifying individuals but I would imagine that non-consensual sexual advances would be particularly.. upsetting to y-"

Unfortunately, he was interrupted by Blitzø kicking the door open to announce to them all,

"Alright, shut your assholes!"

Just as Moxxie turned back to Ayden, he saw her moving quickly to get to the meeting table and, after exchanging a concerned look with Millie, followed as Blitzø rushed to the front of the meeting room with a large easel as he devised with his voice in the foreground,

"Here's how we're gonna do this shit! First, we find a fuck ton of clients."

Some animated drawings on the paper show Blitzø, Loona, Millie, Moxxie, and Ayden standing together with a bunch of imps and clients surrounding them with bags of money in hand.

*We portal up.*

Drawing Blitzø snaps his fingers and he and the I.M.P team figures fall down into it.

*We have our fun murder time as per usual.*

The drawing I.M.P team kill off human drawings with guns and chains.

*We pile all the bodies into a big fuckin' canoe.*

The human bodies are tossed into a canoe that reads "S.S. Cum Gutter" along the side.

*We push said canoe into some water.*

Drawing Blitzø kicks the canoe full of bodies away from the dock.

*We light it on fire to attract the sharks and eagles 'n shit. Maybe a goose, too! Fuck it!*

Animated drawings of sharks, snakes, eagles, a goose, and creatures eat the bodies set on fire in the canoe before a giant octopus monster chomps down the entire ship and the animals.

*They come and eat the bodies, we win the bet!*

The I.M.P team drawings cheer with drawing Loona wearing a party hat.

*We rub it in that sloppy bitch's drunken whore-ass face.*

The I.M.P. members give a drawing Verosika several middle fingers making her burst into tears.

Back at the meeting, Blitzø throws his pointer stick away as he asks the team,

"Do you have... any questions?"

"Uh, yeah. Why was that nonsense?" Moxxie asked after raising his hand.

"That wasn't a question." Blitzø told him after walking up to him.

"That wasn't a plan."

"I'm sorry, but that was a flawless presentation of what we should do, Mox. It's not my fault you got a smooth little brain upstairs." Blitzø argued while wrapping an arm around Moxxie's shoulders and motioning to his head.

"A what now?"

"I'm callin' ya slow, Moxxie. God, why don't you learn to take criticism, you talentless baby dicked troll?!" Blitzø was poking Moxxie in the chest at the end of his sentence for emphasis making Moxxie's eye twitch before he climbed on the table to point at Blitzø while arguing,

"Well, why don't you take an art class?"

"Why don't you see how EXPENSIVE they are?!" Blitzø retorted, throwing Moxxie back in his seat and pointing in his face.

"Hey, is there a way I can come with you guys this time?" Loona asked out of the blue and Blitzø was quick to answer with,

"Absolutely not, I forbid it. Not gonna happen. Sorry, sweetie. Spring break is no place for young, vulnerable goth girls. You know the kind of FREAKS up there who'd drool all over you!"

Blitzø, Millie, Moxxie, Ayden, and Loona simultaneously break the fourth wall by glaring disapprovingly at you.

"Well, I-I can blend in with humans easy enough. Just let me tag along." Loona tried to persuade them making Blitzø double take,

"Wait, say that again."

"I can... blend in...?"

"Do you have a human disguise?" Millie asked her.

"Yeah. Don't you?"

The three imps look nervously at each other side to side making Loona borderline scold them with,

"You three have been screwing around on Earth this whole fucking time... without human disguises?!"

"Hey I choose to not use mine." Ayden spoke up from where she was sitting with her feet propped up on the table.

"You've got one?!" Moxxie questioned in disbelief.

"How did you get a human disguise?" Loona asked and Ayden retorted with,

"How did you get one?"

The two glared at each other before Blitzø cut between them by revising,

"Okay, new plan!"

Quickly scribbling on a piece of paper before sticking it to the easel to reveal a doodle of Loona and Ayden surrounded by humans with hearts around them as he announced,

"Loonie and Ayden can help lure the humans to us, and we'll take care of the rest. Okay, how about that?"

"Flawless logic." Millie was quick to support Blitzø's plan but Moxxie pointed out a crucial detail,

"I think you're missing the biggest issue, sir. Isn't it crucial to have a client who demands enough kills to win this bet? We aren't just going up to massacre!"

"I got that covered, Mox." Blitzø assured him before getting to work hastily creating a flyer.

While he was doing that, Millie and Moxxie pulled Ayden aside and Millie told her,

"Look I'm all for Blitzø's plan and that we can get it done but if you don't feel up to it-"

"I c'n do it!" Ayden tried to convince them but Moxxie didn't seem all that certain as he noted,

"It's just.. this particular job seems like it'll require a lot of.. flirting and.. getting people to want to follow you where you'll be alone with them-"

"And if they get too handsy or try 'nythin' I c'n jus' off'em no problem." Ayden argued, starting to get tired of the conversation.

"Well if it ever gets to be too much just tell us or Blitzø, I'm sure he'll understand-"

"I'll understand what?!" Blitzø popped up out of nowhere, interrupting Moxxie before Millie was about to tell him,

"That Ayden-"

"Is rearin' ta go on this one Boss!" Ayden cut her off with an overly enthusiastic yell.

"That's what I like to hear! Now c'mon Mox!" Blitzø grabbed him by the collar and practically dragged him outside with his flier in hand.

Just as Millie was about to check in on Ayden again, she turned to see her prepping her weapons and, knowing she didn't like to be disturbed while doing that, sighed and went to prep her stuff as well while, to the side, Loona's ear twitched having heard the whole conversation between the three of them making her frown deepen a bit.

A short while later, on a beach in the Living World, people were happily walking around relaxing, talking, drinking, and chucking pills unbeknownst to them that three imps, a demon cat, and a hellhound were hiding in the shadows behind some coral-covered rocks under a dock plotting to off them all.

"Now, remember, we can't be seen, alright? And loose shots will likely cause a panic, so Loona and Ayden can help with leading targets to a better spot to off 'em." Blitzø made a slicing neck motion before asking, "You got the list, Loonie?"

Loona looked down at the list in her hands and gave it a sniff before holding it over to Ayden so she could do the same as she told him,

"Got it."

Before standing up and, in a swirling flash of blue light, transforming into her human form of a girl with milky white skin and a half-shaved head while her clothes remained the same.

"Ohhhhh, Loonie, look at you. You look...downright awful! I am so proud!" Blitzø enthused, wiping a tear away from his eye as she glared back at him before he deadpanned, "Alright Furball let's see what you got."

Referring the last part to Ayden making her huff at the nickname,

"Hmph!"

Before launching into a somersault and a small flurry of fiery streaks surrounded her before she landed in a crouch in her human form; a human girl with the same brown skin as her fur, her scar blotches now slightly lighter cocoa tones, her eyes were a slightly darker pinkish red, her short hair was a bit more tamed with neon orange tips instead of crimson red ones and she was still wearing her cuff shackle and choker but her clothes had changed to a red muscle tank top with a black planet design on the back, her shorts lost their buckles, her skirt flaps became a leathery scarf wrapping around her waist with the ends flowing out in place of her tail, wearing punky black ballet flats with leather straps that wrapped upwards on her legs and had buckles on them, her slightly ratty satchel turned into a faded red mini backpack still with her Aroace heart patch and A.A.A. initials patch sewn onto it, and had grown to be only a few inches shorter than Loona.

"Whaddya think?" Ayden fluffed a bit of her hair while kicking out a foot.

"Huh not bad kid." Blitzø admitted with a shrug before Moxxie questioned curiously,

"Hey how come your human form looks different from your regular form?"

But was cut off by Blitzø saying,

"Some magic shit, doesn't matter, now both of you fetch!"

"Bet I c'n score more humans than you." Ayden smirked at Loona revealing her fangs and she accepted the challenge with a smug,

"Oh it's on Furball. Watch and learn."

The both of them scanned the crowd, their targets outlined in red in their vision, before Loona went up to a tall man wearing sunglasses and pointed to him with a flirty grin to get his attention before motioning between herself and him and an alleyway in the distance.

He'd been eager to follow her before she leaned against the wall with her arms crossed and a bored look on her face but, just as the man was about to grab her, a bullet through the head, courtesy of Blitzø, killed him and he gave Loona a thumbs up.

After seeing Loona's first lure, Ayden was steeling herself to do the same and walked up to a guy with a bucket hat as she slid up to him and tried flirting,

"Heeey there big guy, you-uh wanna go rootin' somewhere o' somethin'?"

"Eugh! Back off weirdo!" The guy sneered as he shook Ayden off him and walked off.

Still with some determination, Ayden walked up to another target and appeared right in front of her and her friends to practically yell in her face,

"Wanna go make out?!"

"Ugh try hard..." She moved away and she and her friends were heard snickering into their hands leaving Ayden burning in embarrassment.

"Wow.. that was kinda pathetic." Loona's voice sounded from behind her and she growled before turning around to see her standing there frowning with her arms crossed making her snap,

"Well 'scuse me if I ain't used ta this!"

"Unsure isn't a good tactic to use when flirting and too eager makes you look desperate so you just gotta play it cool if you wanna get people to trust you." Loona advised Ayden making her raise an eyebrow in confusion as she asked her,

"Are you... helpin' me?"

"As entertaining as it is to see people blowing you off, the sooner we get this shit done, the sooner we can get back so I can.. y'know stop caring or whatever.."

Ayden was hesitant to accept that reasoning but gave a slight nod before looking around to see another target outlined in red by the table with large dark silver barrels surrounded by open bottles.

"You know what?" Loona grabbed Ayden by the hand and led her over to the table before grabbing an open bottle of beer and handing it to her saying,

"Drink this."

"Uhhhh...." Ayden looked really unsure before seeing the target chug back a bottle of her own and she did the same, feeling her nerves settle once the alcohol settled in her stomach.

After wiping her mouth with her hand and setting her sights on the target, Loona gave her one last piece of advice,

"Remember; with flirting, less is always more."

Ayden looked back at her with an appreciative smirk before nodding and walking up to the target with her empty bottle in hand as she whispered to her,

"I know where we c'n get some ha'der shite..."

The target raised an eyebrow at her before giving a smirk that said 'Lead the way' and she led her over to an alley where Millie was lying in wait with her signature knife to drive it through her skull.

"Not bad." She complimented Ayden and she flippantly waved a hand while saying,

"Oh stop."

Before going back out to lure another victim while she was still riding that wave of borderline drunken confidence at the same time Loona managed to attract another man by just leaning against the wall and he was caught in a noose by Blitzø.

On a rooftop, Ayden was sitting with her legs crossed and fluttering her eyes with a sultry smirk on her face at a guy but just as he leaned in to try to kiss her, Millie knocked him off the roof where he fell into a dumpster and Moxxie shut the lid on him just as Loona came walking by on the sidewalk with a large man who was soon killed with a dropped flower pot to the head.

"Oh!" Ayden feigned feeling woozy as she leaned against a buff guy's arm back on the beach so he could catch her as she sighed, "I'm feelin' a lil rooted... think ya can take me to the shade...?"

She pointed to an empty umbrella near the docks while tracing a finger up from his chest to his neck making him shudder in pleasure making him gladly pick her up bridal style to carry her over, only to get a dagger to the heart from her once she was set down on the sand and she took hold of his body to roll them both into the shadows away from peoples' eyes.

While Loona and Ayden lured more victims to their dooms, the imps were also killing other humans their way; Blitzø killed a woman with a knife, Millie killed a white-haired woman with a spiked baseball bat, and another woman got shot in the head by Moxxie.

After a short while, the gang was starting to shove all the bodies of their victims into bloodstained trash bags with Millie jumping on one to shove them in and Ayden eating a few hearts from victims she killed as Blitzø was starting to cheer,

"That's twelve kills in the bag! I'd like to see that waily snatch orgasm that many-"

But he was cut off when Verosika's voice came on over large speakers on a large stage as she declared,

"Alright, spring breakers! Y'all ready to get fucked up and make some BITCHIN' BAD CHOICES?!"

Some smoke on the stage parted to reveal her in her human form in front of an audience of humans cheering while one fanboy who had her name on his chest yelled excitedly,

"Verosika!"

"This is your final boarding call. ~All aboard~" She sent a flirty wave and a wink to the crowd just as the words "Fuck you Blitzo" appeared on some of the stage screens.

"Tha's j'st outta bounds." Ayden frowned with her arms crossed seeing how Blitzø was growling and foaming at the mouth in anger like a rabid animal just as Verosika started singing,

♫ Pack your bags. Sun's out. Take a vacay, babe. Take it straight to Bone Town. ♫

The song apparently had a supernatural effect on the humans in the audience as they began making out, kissing, hugging, and grinding on each other with the succubi from Verosika's posse joining a couple of them, the sight of which made Ayden want to hurl.

"God DAMMIT!" Blitzø yelled angrily, "That bitch started her goadish mating call! Now, she's gonna win all these sex maniacs! We gotta pick things up, guys!"

"On it!" Ayden was about to run off to attract some more victims when she noticed Loona distractedly staring off into the crowd of humans at a large man who looked to be the hellhound from earlier, Vortex, and not paying attention as Blitzø asked her,

"He on the list, Loonie?"

Pointing to a blonde man puking his guts out on the sand next to him and Loona responding too fascinated in looking at her crush to actually pay attention,

"Huh? Yeah... I-I think so..."

As Blitzø went to work killing the guy, Ayden went up to Loona and nudged her side before subtly motioning to Vortex with her head as she encouraged her,

"Go ahead, I'll keep'im busy."

Loona gave a short appreciative nod before walking off in Vortex's direction as Ayden turned back to Blitzø as he asked,

"Alright, next one Loonie, c'mon! Loonie? Wait, where-? Wha-Wha-Wh-WHERE'S MY BABYYYYYY?!?!"

Ayden stepped in front of Blitzø to block his view of the stage as she tried to distract him with,

"Oh heeeeeey Blitzø I was thinkin'; y'know how I'm sooooooo great with this thing," Ayden pulled out her chain and weapon heads with an exaggerated flourish to keep him from seeing past her where Loona was walking off, even as he tried to look past her as she continued, "but 't's not very subtle and so I don't think I'm killin' as many humies as I cooouuuld be so whaddya think I shoul-"

"Christ on a stick just use this! Now move!" Blitzø shoved a black Glock in her hands and pushed past her to get to Loona as she thought,

'Welp I tried...'

Before looking down at the gun in her hand and asking slightly out loud,

"Now how the fuck 'm I s'posed to use this?"

Looking around to see Millie and Moxxie hiding behind the metal barrels she had gotten a drink from earlier and went over, vaguely hearing Blitzø calling out to Loona, as she did before Moxxie spoke,

"And... we've lost him. Haaah..." He sighed as he noticed Blitzø going off on Vortex and Loona before telling his wife, "It's looking like it's up to us to handle this list."

"Hell yeah! Team M and M-" Millie started to cheer before Ayden caught their attention with a loud cough before downing another bottle of beer,

"Ahem!"

"And Ayden, gettin' shit done, makin' the moneys!"

Millie leaped onto the roof of a nearby building but just as Moxxie was about to follow her, Ayden stopped him with,

"Hey Mox, whaddya know 'bout usin' this thing?"

Holding up the Glock Blitzø gave her and he took it before explaining in a matter-of-fact tone,

"Well this is a Glock 17 9 mm with interchangeable parts, 34 component parts which significantly reduces the potential of technical issues such as-"

"How do I shoot the damn thing Moxxie?!" Ayden cut him off with an impatient, and slightly slurred, snap and he frowned before pointing to a small switch while stating plainly,

"Turn the safety off, aim, and pull the trigger while being careful of the recoil."

"Was that so ha'd...?" Ayden snatched it back, hiding it in the folds of her belt wrap, before chucking the beer bottle away as she went into the crowd of humans to attract more victims.

Just as she was running a hand along the shoulders of a woman to catch her attention, her human ears started to twitch as she caught onto a piece of Loona and Blitzø's argument with her yelling,

"Fuck, Blitzø! Why can't you stay out of my face for, like, five minutes?!"

"Because, I adopted you! And that should mean something!"

"Oh, what does it matter?! You're not my real dad! I was almost eighteen!"

"It still counts!"

"Well, it shouldn't! I didn't need you then, asshole! I don't now!"

The two of them were turned away from each other by the end of the argument and the distraught look on Blitzø's face made Ayden think of the last time she wore an expression like that,

'Why'd he hafta leave?!'

The voices in her head rose up again even in her alcohol-addled drunken state,

'Di'n't he love us?!'

'He made you like this!'

'~Come ooooon don't you like this?~'

Making her grab her head, her chewed-on broken nails scratching faint red lines into her scalp and hairline as she backed away right into the arms of a big, brawny human, who grabbed her with an arm around her neck and spun her around yelling drunkenly,

"WOOOOO! Let's get FUCKED UP!"

"Get off me!" Ayden yelled slightly crazed pulling the Glock from her belt wrap and shooting him in time with a drunk guy yelling,

"Wooo! Yeah! Party! Let's do thiiiss!"

The guy dropped dead but everyone around seemed too brick-faced or hyped up to notice and Ayden stared at the guy in horror before throwing the gun away and pushing through people to run toward the dock.

Meanwhile, with Loona and Blitzø, Loona tried to say something to Blitzø after seeing how upset her words made him,

"Uh... Blitzø... I'm-"

But he wasn't having it as he told her,

"Enjoy your break, Loonie. I'm gonna go kill something!"

Stomping off to find someone to kill when he stepped on something hard and looked under his boot to see the Glock he'd given Ayden but no sign of her around.

After picking it up to pocket it, he heard a guy by the docks speaking to someone in a drunken, patronizing tone,

"C'mooooon furry babe join the fuuuuuun!"

"Jus' go away!" Ayden's angrily teary voice was heard and Blitzø rushed over to catch the guy in a choking hold using a rope to keep him from harassing her anymore.

Blitzø looked to see Ayden hiding in the shadows, back in her demon cat form with glowing tears streaming down her face and gripping her head and hair too tightly with her legs pulled up to her torso and her tail wrapping around them and he questioned uneasily,

"Hey uh wh-what's going on Fur-"

"I di'n't ask for him to leave us!" Ayden yelled tugging on her hair even harder as her nails bit into her skin even further to where little drops started to leak out, "I di'n't ask for all of them to hurt me! I di'n't ask to be born!"

She looked at Blitzø with red-veined watery eyes and a slightly flushed face, the classic signs of someone who's inebriated, as she questioned loudly,

"Why do they hate us?!"

Leaving Blitzø at a loss for words before a loud rumbling was heard and felt as, out of the ocean, a large fish monster emerged and stomped its way onto land where an unfortunate human was crushed under its foot causing the other blood-sprayed humans to panic and run away screaming.

Blitzø gave a sharp tug on the rope choking out the man to break his neck and kill him so he could grab Ayden by the arms to try to drag her away yelling,

"Time to move kid!" But she made no move to do so as she stared at the giant fish monster blankly so he yelled impatiently while shaking her by her shoulders, "Snap outta it and move your fucking tail!"

Her ears perked up when she heard Moxxie's voice drunkenly cheering,

"Hehehe... Weeeeee..."

And when she looked up and saw that the fish monster had caught Moxxie with its tongue and swallowed him up, Ayden's eyes lit up and she growled in fury before pulling away from Blitzø and rushing toward the fish monster, shifting to hellcat form so she could run faster and jump higher to latch herself onto its scaly skin using her claws and climb toward its face.

"What the fuck is she doing?" Blitzø yelled catching Millie's attention as she questioned,

"Who?"

"Furball!"

"Ayden?!"

Knowing that now her husband and coworker were both in danger, Millie looked around for something to help her save them when she spotted a man downing a cocktail and stabbed him through the chest with her knife before ripping a strip of the towel that had been hanging around his neck to stuff into the bottle and light it up to use as a Molotov cocktail.

After throwing it against the fish monster, careful not to hit Ayden from where she was currently hanging onto the monster by its gills on its right side still in her hellcat form as the monster stumbled and fell back into the ocean.

While Millie was swimming out to the monster, Ayden shifted into her cat demon form, raising a paw above her head to unsheath her claws as she squeezed her eyes shut and thought to herself,

'Please work please work pleeeeeaaaase work!'

Before opening her glowing eyes and slashing her claws down as some sparks popped out of them and the slash left a large burning scratch on the monster's gills making it shake itself in pain just as Millie managed to stab her knife into its flesh to keep her attached to it as it got up and roared in pain.

"Nice one Ayden!" Millie cheered as she crawled up to the monster's mouth and kept it pried open to save her husband, who was currently punching the monster's uvula while still wrapped in its tongue.

Millie reached down to her husband and he did the same, more or less since he high-fived her hand instead of grabbing it, before she grabbed his hand and sliced the monster's tongue to free Moxxie making the monster snap forward, sending Moxxie flying with part of the tongue still attached to him before he landed in Blitzø's arms.

Nearby a human man cheered from narrowly avoiding getting hit by the monster's tongue but Blitzø shot him out of annoyance and Moxxie laughed hysterically in his drunken state.

"Aaaaah! Hehehehe...."

Inside the monster's mouth, Millie was punching the stub of the tongue that remained in the monster's mouth making it thrash around in pain, trying to get her off, while Blitzø and Moxxie watched from the beach as Moxxie gushed,

"~I love that woman~"

With his tail making a heart shape and Blitzø commented,

"Oh, she totally pegs you, doesn't she?"

Meanwhile, Millie leaped up into the air to land inside the monster and sliced her way out of its stomach making it gush blood out into the ocean before she was swept out into the ocean as well and tiredly made her way back to shore where he dropped her knife into the sand and panted as Blitzø cheered for her,

"Ohhhh, yeah, way to show off, Mils!"

"Is Mox okay?" Millie asked as she shook herself off and Blitzø realized he was still holding onto Moxxie so he dropped him onto the sand as he noted,

"Oh, yeah. He's fine."

Millie picked him up from the sand as he grinned with a dopey expression and drunkenly garbled,

"Thiiiis is funny. I'm sooooo... drinky."

Making Millie hug him close while giggling happily that he was OK until the next words he said made her and Blitzø freeze,

"Heeeey where's the little itty bitty kitty cat...?"

"Oh shit where is the little Furball?"

"I thought she came back to shore!"

Out in the ocean, Ayden, in her demon cat form, was sinking slowly through the water, having been thrown off when Millie was fighting the monster from the inside, but she made no effort to try to swim back to the surface as the water stung her like a million tiny burning needles stabbing into her, through her skin into her muscles, and the last of the air in her lungs bubbled out from her mouth and nose.

Taking what might've been her last look at the surface through her blurry vision, she realized the voices weren't bothering her anymore and thought,

'Least it's quiet down 'ere...'

She closed her eyes right as she felt something snag her wrist and drag her through the water back to the surface before she felt herself get heaved and laid on the sand and someone started pumping her chest.

"C'moooon breathe!"

A solid punch delivered to her diaphragm made her cough up all the water that was in her lungs and she turned to her side to barf it all out.

"Glck klaugh! Bleh!" Ayden choked on something before hacking it up and spitting it out to reveal a small fish had somehow found its way inside of her and it flopped around on the sand for a bit before dying with x's in its eyes.

"Well that was just gross."

Ayden blinked the water from her eyes to see Millie and Blitzø looking down at her, Millie with a worried expression on her face and Blitzø with a disappointed look on his face, and just as she was about to say something Moxxie popped up and rambled,

"Yaaaaaaaay! The kitty's AOKK!" Before flopping his arms around her in a hug that she smiled at and returned with Millie joining in not two seconds later.

"Ooookay, this is too wholesome for my liking." Blitzø deadpanned slightly before a voice cut in,

"Blitzo." Revealing that Verosika and her posse were standing right behind them, still in their human forms, as Blitzø snarked sarcastically,

"Oh, perfect. That must be the whores!"

With Millie, Moxxie, and Ayden popping up behind him to back him up as Verosika pointed out smugly,

"That was handled rather... obvious... Don't you think?"

"I don't think this belonged to any of us." Millie spoke up, holding the flask Verosika had been drinking out of earlier before tossing it back to her who caught it and drop-passed it to Milky as Millie spoke in a blackmailing tone,

"Would be a shame if anyone found out you guys were behind a giant monster fish in the human world."

Making Moxxie laugh as he drunkenly stated,

"Oh, Satan! Hehe! You'd all be so... FUUUUCKED!"

Laughing maniacally toward the end of his sentence before Verosika made a last-ditch attempt to keep her leverage over them by pointing out,

"Yeah, well... you four nasty-ass gremlins will be in shit for not being in disguises!"

Moxxie face-planted into the sand before stumbling out,

"A human called me a possum. I am not a possum!"

Face-planting into the sand toward the end and Ayden speaking up,

"Plus who says none of us have disguises?"

Shifting to her human form to give Verosika a mocking smirk that made her grit her teeth, her frown deepening as Blitzø bargained while pushing Moxxie back with his foot,

"Y'know, we could keep this little.. B-movie scene on the down low if you agree to let us use that parking space."

"...Fine." She begrudgingly agreed and Blitzø started cheering,

"WE FUCKIN' WOOOOOOON!!! HAHAHAHA!"

"Fuck YEAH!" Millie shouted pumped up while hugging Moxxie close.

"WHOOOOO!" Ayden cheered with her fists in the air before flipping double birds at the succubi.

"IN YOUR FACE, BIIIITCH!" Blitzø cheered before Verosika scoffed and told her posse,

"Come on, let's get out of here."

They all started walking away before Verosika yelled,

"Tex!"

Making Ayden see that he and Loona had been off to the side chatting the whole time and she tuned her hearing to listen in on their conversation as Tex told Loona,

"Well... guess it's time to bounce. But, hey, if you're ever down to party, I'll give you a ring sometime."

"Really? I mean, heh... yeah. Yeah." Loona sounded eager at first before taking her own advice and adding the last part sounding a bit more cool.

"Yeah! My girlfriend throws a ton of crazy hound parties."

Ayden winced at hearing Loona's quick dog-like whine of disappointment as she spoke dejectedly,

"Nice. Can't wait for my first one..."

"Let's get you some friends, girl." He chuckled as he gave her a friendly nudge on the shoulder after pointing double finger guns at her and walking off to follow his boss leaving Loona to slump down in dismay even as Blitzø called out to her,

"Come on, Loonie Tooney! Let's go back and park our fat fuckin' car in our fat fuckin' space!"

Millie and Moxxie jumped through the portal in the sand to land back in the parking lot before Ayden followed and landed in demon cat form on all fours before standing up and brushing her paws off while commenting,

"Welp that wasn' the worst mission ever.. jus' the most awkward."

"You wanna talk 'awkward'?!" Loona stomped up to her yelling in her face, "Blitzø found me with Vortex and went completely ballistic! Some job you did keeping him busy!"

"Y'know I agreed to cover for ya to talk to a guy, not to blow off your dad!" Ayden retorted back, pointing in Loona's face before she snapped back,

"He's not my dad!"

"Well you shoul' be happy you have one at least!" Ayden gave Loona a shove that barely moved her but she still looked surprised at the move on her part before she trudged away with her eyes tearing up again but refusing to let them fall.

She headed back to the office and dropped down onto the couch with her face buried in the cushion and a hand on her locket thinking,

'Why is this gettin' ha'der to hide...?'

"Guess I should call you 'Fireball' instead." Blitzø's voice broke her out of her thoughts as he was seen leaning against the doorway to the room and asked, "How long've you been able to do that?"

After a few seconds of wondering what he was talking about, Ayden realized he was talking about her fire powers and sat up looking at her paws as she flexed them and sheathed and unsheathed her claws while explaining,

"A while, still can't control it all that great so it jus' kinda comes and goes as it pleases."

"Mmmhmmm..." Blitzø's facial expression slowly shifted to one of borderline concern as he asked, "You gonna explain what happened earlier...?"

"Whaddya mean?" Ayden tilted her head questioningly.

"About what you said by the dock?"

"Yeeeh..." Ayden looked down while rubbing a paw to the back of her head sheepishly as she admitted, "I don' really remember much after downin' that second stubby..."

"Uh huh..." Blitzø looked unconvinced before realizing and yelling incredulously, "Wait you got black-out drunk from two bottles of beer?! You are such a lightweight... We're gonna hafta ta fix that."

Blitzø was rubbing his chin while making his signature "plotting" facial expression towards the end of his statement before telling her,

"Anyway, job's done for the day and the others are busy with their shit so Imma go grab coffee and you can just chillax in here for a little while."

"Good... cause I don't wanna move til next week..." Ayden slumped over with a tired look in her eyes and Blitzø gave a light scoff before ruffling her hair and telling her,

"Yeah you did good today kid."

Turning away to head out when he suddenly stopped with his tail going straight into the air as he added,

"Oh you can keep this by the way."

Before tossing her the Glock he lent her earlier, but this time it was settled in a leather holster and Ayden looked at it in surprise but sent Blitzø a grateful nod as she put it with her satchel.

After she stretched a bit, she shifted to hellcat form to settle in the couch cushions to fall asleep, purring slightly with her snores within seconds.

Blitzø looked back with a slightly softened expression before heading out with Loona coming in a few minutes after he left and headed in the direction of the couch.

Seeing Ayden lying there sleeping, Loona was tempted to move her off but decided against it, this time, sitting on the other side of the couch instead.

"Little punk..." Loona muttered bitterly as she started to scroll through her phone before she heard muffled whines and looked over to see Ayden kicking and twitching with her tail whipping around a bit as though she were having a nightmare.

"N-noooo... pl-ease-! St-toop!"

Hearing the distress in her voice, Loona frowned, remembering a time when she too struggled with nightmares alone, and carefully reached out to softly stroke Ayden's head, scratching a bit behind the ears where most dogs and cats liked to be scratched and the motion seemed to help calm her down as she went still again but seemed to curl a bit closer to Loona as her purrs started up again.

"Hmm.. little punk..." Loona whispered again but with a bit more fondness in her voice as she scrolled through her phone with one hand while the other kept stroking Ayden's fur as the two of them sat in comfortable silence.
