1. A warm warm welcome into class 3A and a new discovery?
Okay! Another fanfic! Well, the second one really. So I'm still a newbie at this and might not be up to your expectations. Although I certainly hope it is. Anyways, this chapter is dedicated to TheSpadeQueen once again. This cover isn't made by her, but my other book-in-writing's is, and it's fantastic! So, my gratitude to the utmost!
And for the curious, I'll try to update once a week or two.
Jesus.
Sigh... This world... Even a school is so richly decorated. I look at the wondrous, rich looking, spacious, intricately decorated elite school in front of me and trudge through the gates. The gates! Even the fricking- watch your mouth Ayame Leiko. Even the gates have silver decorations!
I am utterly defeated.
I just transferred to Kunugigaoka Junior High cause' my mum went ahead and got sick.
And I feel a little worried leaving her at home.
Making things worse, there's absolutely no income at all, apart from my pitiful pay for my part time job, which plonks me in a situation where I have to rely on this scholarship in terms of schooling fees.
Great, now I have transfer to go to this elite school and endure all these idiotic people who probably are brats and bitc- argh! I need to get rid of this habit! Dammit, wack those swear words out of your head-
"Are you lost?"
Awkwardly, I stop bashing my own head. Talk about the things you do when you think you're alone.
"Need any help...?" A boy with whitish blonde hair, dull purple eyes and a strong build walk up beside me, "What class are you in?"
Uh... who is this? "I'm in class 3-A, and yeah. I'm totally lost." I responded, fiddling with my black hair that parted to covered some of the right side of my face and my right eye, trying to look like a quiet, nice and feminine girl that's intelligent, instead of an idiot.
Not really working.
"We're classmates then, what a pleasure." The boy grin. "And you're early. Well, don't worry, I'll show you the way."
"Right..."
"By the way, I'm Asano Gakushuu." He stuck out his hand.
"Ayame Leiko. Nice to meet you Asano-san." I smiled as politely as I could to his haughty attitude and followed as he turned and walked towards the school building. There wasn't much people on the way since I got here early for my first day, just in case of the slight chance that I would get lost. Well, at least I'm on time now.
I look around at the luxurious school building, following Asano, taking in the passing students and the modern corridor.
Walking in with Asano seemed to have cause some muttering in the class. Though, that wasn't at the forefront of my mind as the teacher introduced me. "This is our new transfer student," he addressed the class as I stand at the front, "please introduce yourself."
"Hey everyone. My name is Ayame Leiko, and I'm looking forward to a great year with you guys." I smiled cheerfully and politely, only to get blank, cold, uncaring or bored stares in return. I gritted my teeth secretly and cursed this smart ass school. What a warm, warm welcome into class 3-A!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
So this is what class is in 3-A? I'm sooooooo bored!! The teacher just writes things up on the blackboard, explain, do one or two examples, then rub it off. Ineffective and boring. But I guess that's what normal teachers are, and most people are too busy copying down that hell load of useless information off the board to notice.
I jotted down the important points and some useless points to make it seem like I'm studying hard, when I've learned all this before and just want some good, hot coffee. Haven't had one of those in such a long time. Or gelato, I adore gelato.
But gelato is considered expensive, mum will disapprove. Who cares? It's just fantasying anyways! But I really could spend my time better than fantasying about gelato. Oh really now? What about fantasying about killing the teacher? Unrealistic and drab. Who would do that? Well, unless you've got a shit teacher. Ah shit I just swore again.
Ugh!
Anyways, it would be such an easy kill, just leap up catching them unawares and nice clean stab through the heart or nice clean slice on the throat. I'm definitely going mad, arguing with myself and all... when does this day end?!
I rested my head on the table for whatever amount of comfort I can get while listening to droning, and the next thing I knew, I was asleep.
"Ohh, she's pretty."
"Yeah, think we could hit off with her?"
"Wow, she's starting to drool, you really want to hook up with that kinda girl?"
Meh? Eh? Huh? Wha...? I drifted in and out of sleep, feeling like I'm floating around in the dark. So comfortable. But finally I forced my eyes open as someone tapped me on the shoulder. I took a glance around my surroundings and quickly wiped away the line drool that's starting to come out of my mouth.
"Ayame-san, school is over. Or do you prefer to stay here over night?" A somewhat familiar, haughty, voice penetrated through my consciousness.
"Ah, Asano-san! I'm sorry! I uh, um couldn't sleep last night cause of, well, that I'm going to be attending such an stu- elite school and yeah." I stammered and stuttered through my sentences, great, now everyone is going to think I'm an idiot. Well, who cares now, doesn't really matter what's on their minds anyways. As long as...
"Damn!" I looked at the clock hung above the blackboard and nearly cussed again, well, er, 'damn' isn't exactly cussing... is it? Still, I'm so late.
Startling everyone around me, I quickly stood up and gathered my belongings in one sweep, stuffing them all back into my bag. "Nicetomeetyouall, Ireallyhopewe'llhaveagreattimetogetherbutIreallyneedtogonowsinceIhaveanappointment!"
And with that I practically ran out of the room, feeling stares piercing through my back.
As I ran towards my destination, I internally chided myself for being so stupid on the first day. Ah... I sighed, temporarily ignoring my great first impression with my class.
That aside though...! I so gonna be late to the coffee shop! Nwah! My dear coffee! I'm even getting treated by Rio-chan this time! Urgh! I gotta tell her about this stupid school! Oh my god I am a dumb ass! First time seeing her in real life in three damn years and I'm gonna be laaaaaaaaate! I ran even faster as I make my way through the thick crowd of people on the street.
Crash!
"Rio-chan?!" I nearly bashed into a pole, but instead...
"You saved me again." I sighed and looked up at Nakamura Rio, whom just stepped in front of the pole to save my head.
"You didn't change one bit, you idiot." She sighed and messed up my hair.
"I didn't want to be late! The last time I saw you was three years ago!"
"Then why did you bother to change clothing?" She pointed at my cloths. Sports cap, black t-shirt decorated by crimson red splotches, blue jeans and black hoodie. My hair is also messed up deliberately, now I push it more back, it seems somewhat messy and boyish, completing the 'gender transformation', as Rio-chan calls it. "If you're in a hurry, why don't you just come here in normal school uniform instead of changing?" She pointed a finger at me, and raised one eye brow challengingly. In a very familiar, very vexing, and very mocking way.
"I prefer this! It's comfy and aesthetic and I go to a stupid school-!" My mouth dropped open as I actually took a good look at her and her clothing. I couldn't seem to close my mouth. "Ri-Rio-c,chan. You g-go to Kunugi-gigaoka Junior High AS WELL?!"
"As well? What do you- wait." she seemed to have realized this and looked at me again, snatched my school bag and peered inside to its contents. To see my school uniform, identical to hers. "THE HELL?!"
~~~~~~~~~~~~
"That's why I didn't see you today." I took another sip of coffee. "That's really stupid. Or rather, this class E strategy is really clever, but ruthless, mean and stupid in another way." the quaint little coffee shop we sat in was quiet, dim lighting making it look peaceful and warm.
"But it's pretty nice in class E as well! You just gotta- uh... I give up." The blonde threw up her hands, totally exasperated. Following her utterly defeated expression I turned around, to see a...man? "What?"
A man, I'm still doubting this, with an extra round head, button nose, huge body, arms that I cannot see where the joints are and uh, tentacleish things for legs?! "What is THAT?!" I yelled under my breath. "Some kind of human race that we haven't yet discovered?!"
"No, it's just a normal person, hehe, I'm being paranoid. Ignore that... person." Rio-chan rubbed her forehead. I sensed frustration and bloodlust she's directing in my direction, perhaps not towards me, but more towards the... person behind me.
"You're lying," I said flat out. Now this should be something fun. Her reaction perked up my curiosity, and my eyes light up at the prospect of something interesting. "who is that?
"He's my sensei..." she muttered, " can we change the topic?"
This time, she should be telling the truth, I can see. But that's so weird. I glanced behind me again and sees that her sensei was holding a note book that says 'Student Gossip'.
......
Is this really a teacher?
I turned to Rio-chan. She looked very, very dangerous. Bloodlust. I could feel that very clearly, flowing from her. "Rio-chan, I'm just gonna use the washroom." I smile wickedly at her as my right hand sneak her a note I scribbled.
'That is your teacher right? And I guess he like gossip? Let's give him some delicious gossip then... Play time! Let's go boyfriend girlfriend style Rio-chan! Don't forget the right name!'
As I stood up, my body covered hers as she read the note, then smirked. I smirked back and turned, walking so I'd pass behind her sensei. Stealing a glance over his shoulders, I clearly saw that he has written 'Nakamura-san seen in coffee shop with suspicious boy. Potential lover?!'
I nearly giggled. Suspicious boy, is it?
Heading towards that washroom, I felt her sensei's eyes on me, so I went, without hesitation, into the men's washroom.
Don't worry folks, I kept my eyes on the floor.
~~~~~~~~~~~~
I sat down again after I came out of the washroom, except this time I sat beside Rio-chan as she called out "Leiko-kun!" and patted the space beside her. We got closer and pretended to talk, she giggled a few times then we got even closer. I looked up discreetly at her sensei, and he was stealing glances at us, flustered and eager and jotting down things super fast in his notebook.
Ha! Fish on the hook!
I murmured into Rio-chan's ear, as I put one hand on her shoulder, "Can you take a photo of your sensei's face after this? I bet it's gonna look so funny. By the way, don't actually fall for me."
And pressed my lips to hers.
