Chapter 2: Rehearsals

Abigail.

The sun ruptured through my curtains instantly making me wake up. I groaned and got up, walking into my bathroom and taking a quick hot shower. I got out and searched my closet for clothes. I grabbed my pair of LaFreak x Quest Crew pants, a black loose crop top that had hands forming the L.A sign, purple vans, and my hair pulled into a high ponytail with my bangs laying just above my eyes. Light make-up which consisted of mascara, foundation, light pink lipstick, and eyeliner.

Apparently today was the day where I had to tell Calum that I might be moving out. It was for the better if we could be separated for a while until I had the guts to accept his apology. Even though it hurts me to know that he cheated, I can't let him off that easy.

I sighed as I walked out of my room and towards the kitchen to look for something to eat. Calum had his back facing me while he cooked. He didn't have a shirt on or sweats, only his boxers. I inhaled slightly and went to the fridge to get juice. I closed the door of the fridge and went to the pantry that was next to Calum to get out some protein bars. I saw from the corner of my eye that he was staring at me. I went to the island and sat down in one of the stools.

I took a sip from my juice and set it back down. My mind wondering off on how I should tell him. Maybe I should tell him now? No, I don't want to trouble him so soon. Maybe later? Just play it off and try to stay away from him? I sighed as I laid my head in my hands.

"Good morning babe, how did you sleep?" Calum came up to me from behind and wrapped his arms around my waist, his chin laid on my shoulder as he kissed the exposed skin from my crop top. My breath hitching as his touch sent chills down my spine.

I looked in front of me and there laid a plate with pancakes, bacon strips, and scrambled eggs. "Good..." I trailed off, as I analyzed the food in front of me.

That's it. I'm going to play hard to forgive. That way Calum can learn to appreciate what he has until he loses it. He can also learn to gain my trust all over again.

"I gotta go." I said out-of-the-blue. Calum loosened his grip as I took advantage of it and went to my room, him trailing behind.

"Where do you have to go?" He asked.

I grabbed my duffle bag from next to my desk and swung it over my shoulder. "Rehearsal." I simply said. It wasn't a lie, I did have rehearsals today.

He stared at me with a blank look. "What rehearsal?"

"Dance rehearsal." I walked passed him and into the living room.

"Can I come with you?"

I grabbed my keys from the coffee table and shrugged. "If you want."

Calum gave a smile and ran off to his room. I rolled my eyes and plopped on the couch, laying back with my feet up and crossed. It wasn't even a minute later that he came back into the living room.

"Ready?" He asked.

I glanced over to him and got up, grabbing my duffle bag and swinging it over my shoulder. He wore his sleeveless Santa Cruz shirt, black skinny jeans, black vans, his hair was in a quiff, and he had a snapback in his hand. I snapped out of my trance and made my way towards the door without looking at him.

···

We arrived to the dance studio where my rehearsals would be held. I shuffled through my duffle bag in search for my gloves.

"Looking for these?" Calum asked.

I glanced at him, he held up my gloves with a smirk plastered on his face. "Yeah." I reached out for them, but he moved his hand back. "Can I have my gloves?"

His smirk only grew bigger. "Can I have a kiss?"

I groaned as I pecked his lips quickly and grabbed a hold of my gloves. I tugged at the gloves which he didn't let go off. "Calum." I whined.

"That wasn't a kiss."

"Yes it was."

"No it wasn't. That was a peck, there's a difference." He corrected.

I groaned as I leaned towards him and gave him a kiss. He placed his hand behind my neck and pulled me closer to him trying to deepen the kiss. I tugged at the gloves until he let go of them and pulled back.

"I'm blaming you for making me late." I opened the door and got out of his car, my duffle bag on my shoulder.

Calum then got out and followed me into the dance studio where everyone was stretching out. I placed my bag in a corner and took out my phone and keys and set them in one of the outside pockets of my bag.

"You still owe me a real kiss." Calum warned while pointing a finger at me.

"Yeah, whatever, just sit here and don't get in the way, okay?" I said as I undid my ponytail, letting my hair flow down my shoulders which ended at my rib cage, the bottom tips curled.

Calum nodded as he went to sit down next to my duffle bag. He smiled as he gave a me a thumbs up. I sighed as I turned to go meet up with my crew.

···

During dance rehearsal I kept glancing over at Calum who was smiling the entire time, blowing kisses at me, playing with his phone, and my guess was that he was recording me from time to time.

"Alright, I think that's a wrap!" Chad said as he started leaving. We all said our goodbyes before leaving.

I walked up Calum who stood up and had my duffle bag on his shoulder. "You look worn out." He tilted his head to the side to look at me in the eyes.

"It was a hard set to get done." I sighed as I went to open one of the pockets in my duffle bag, pulling out a small towel to wipe my sweaty forehead and neck.

"So, where do you want to go now?" He asked.

I placed the towel back where I got it and went to the other pocket where I had placed my phone and keys. "Home." I said as I placed my phone and keys in my sweats pockets. "I'm drenched in sweat and I fell uncomfortable in sticky clothes."

He laughed. "Alright, let's go."

We walked out of the studio and towards his car. He placed my duffle bag in the backseat. We got in and he drove back home. The entire ride back, silent.

···

I got out from my bathroom wrapped in a towel. I went to my closet and searched for comfortable clothes. I settled with a pair of grey chachi momma sweats, a loose baby blue crop top, baby blue vans, and a baby blue snapback that said "Reckless" embedded on it. I dried my hair and curled the tips. The last touches consisted of foundation, eyeliner, mascara, and light pink lipstick.

My phone then began ringing. I went to my desk and checked who it was. Luke. I answered.

*Phone Conversation*

Me: Hello?

Luke: Hey Abi!

Me: Hey Luke, what's up?

Luke: I was wondering, can the guys and I come over and hang out?

Me: *Sighs* I don't know-

Luke: Well bring food.

Me: Fine.

Luke: We'll be there right away!

Me: Bye.

*End of Phone Conversation*

I threw my phone on my bed and bowed my head, my hands interlocking at the back of my neck.

"Hey Abi, I was wondering...do you want to go to the movies?" I heard Calum say.

I turned my attention towards him and let my hands fall to my sides. "Luke just called. The guys are coming over to hang out. He said he was going to bring food."

"Oh."

I sighed once more as I went to sit on top of my desk, my feet dangling on the edge. Calum came over to me and stood in between my legs, his hands lingering on my thighs.

"What are you doing?" My voice came out as a whisper.

"I'm trying to kiss you. Hold still." His hands grabbed ahold of my waist and pulled me closer to him.

"Not now, Calum." I tried pushing him away from me.

He leaned closer towards me, his eyes focused on my lips. "Stop moving."

"Calum."

He grabbed the back of my neck and pulled me closer, until finally our lips collided with one another. I stopped pushing him as he kissed me passionately. When I thought that I had finally given in to him, loud knocks came from the front door.

"Calum." I said in between the kiss.

"Hmm?"

"The guys." I tried pushing him away. "There here."

He sighed as he pulled back and moved so I could get off of the desk. I went towards the front door and opened it to reveal Luke, Michael, and Ashton with bags of take-out food.

"Hiya, Abi!" Michael said cheerfully as I moved aside to let them in.

I giggled at his cheerful self. "Hey guys." I closed the door as soon as Ashton walked in with bags of take-out.

"Did you decide on what to do?" He asked as I followed him into the kitchen where he placed the bags on the kitchen island.

I looked around us to see if any of the guys were in ear sight. "Yeah." I said quietly.

"And?"

"And I'm staying here to teach Cal a lesson to not cheat ever again."

Ashton crossed his arms over his chest as he leaned carefully back on the stove. "Are you sure about this, Abi? I mean he did hurt you, to begin with and I don't think it's a good idea. I mean he may cheat on you again and then I'll have to come and kick his ass personally."

I chuckled lightly. "I'm sure, Ash. Thank you anyways, and I can kick his ass if he does." I stood up straight like how muscular men stand.

Ashton laughed. "Well if you need any help with anything, I'm here whenever you need me." He smiled showing off his dimples.

"Why does Abi need your help for?" Calum spoke from behind me, making me jump.

"Uh...I need help for..." I stuttered.

"Picking nice underwear at Victoria's Secret!" Ashton blurted out, catching me off guard.

I turned to look at him with a confused look. "And matching bras." Ashton continued.

I turned to look at Calum who had an eyebrow up. "O-kay...first off, she's my girlfriend and second, I can go with her." Calum went to a drawer and got out spoons and forks.

"Oh well...I hope you find something that you like, Abi." Ashton said before taking off into the living room.

I face palmed my forehead. Freakin' Ashton. Him and his Victoria's Secret idea.

"So, you want to go to Victoria's Secret and get some new underwear and matching bras?" Calum said as he placed the forks down on the counter and walked up to me with a smirk on his face.

I let out a breath that I didn't know I was holding in. "Um..." His proximity towards me increased as he placed his hands on my hips, pulling me against him.

"Are you going to model for me like they do on t.v?" His lips brushing against the skin on my neck.

My breath hitched as his warm breath tickled my neck. "I-I uh...I forgot something in my room, be right back." I said quickly as I stormed off to my bedroom, closing it behind me as I slide down on the door.

I bowed my head and breathed deeply. Why is he doing this? Why is he acting as if nothing happened? Why?

···

After the guys left I went to my room and laid on my bed, hat on the desk, headphones in and my music blasting all the way to escape from reality. I closed my eyes as my hands laid on my stomach, the melody of my music relaxing me.

I didn't realize till then when I opened my eyes that Calum was hovering above me, a smirk upon his lips. "What are you doing this time?" I asked a bit annoyed.

"Watching my girl sleep to the sound of music." He brushed a strand of hair out of my face.

I rolled my eyes as I pushed him over next to me and got up. I didn't get far since he grabbed me by my waist and pulled me on top of him. "Calum, let me go." I whined as I tired to free myself. He somehow managed to roll back on top of me and pinned my hands above my head. "Calum." I whined, trying to wiggle myself out from under him.

"What?" He asked bluntly.

Bingo. "I want to go to Victoria's Secret." I blurted out.

"What?" He released my hands and sat up straight on my lap.

"I want to go to Victoria's Secret." I repeated, looking up at him.

"You want to go right now?"

I nodded. I hope this works. He sighed as he got off of me. I got up and walked to my drawer to get out my wallet.

"What are you doing?" Calum asked as he pointed at my wallet.

"Bringing my wallet with me?" It came out more as of a question.

He came over to me and grabbed my wallet and placed it back in the drawer. "I'm paying." He gave a smile.

"Okay." I said as I walked off into the living room to get my keys.

We walked out of the house and into his car.
