Chapter 16

He saw Jesy out of the corner of his eye. So he walked faster, hoping she hadn't seen him. It was a bit mean and unfair, Harry knew that, but she always flirted with him and he never had the heart to tell her that he wasn't interested.

"Harry!" He groaned internally, but turned around nonetheless. He saw Jesy speed up, walking to where he already reached the hallway to the dressing rooms. "Hey." She greeted, which he returned, proceeding to walk. "Well, I had fun last week." Jesy broke the silence.

"Yeah, yes." Harry mumbled and was about to build up the courage to tell her he was gay but it was a short walk and they already reached the girls dressing room.

"Good. We should do it again." Jesy said and was about to open the door, "See you in a minute." She winked and Harry looked sidewards awkwardly. Then she disappeared into the room. He really needed to tell her.

Louis stepped into the dressing room, being the last one. He gave a gereral greeting and shot Harry a soft, private smile, but that was it with the affection. And Harry understood. As long as Louis wasn't ignoring him everything was okay. They had talked about it.

Harry stayed quiet most of the time while Louis was being his loud usual self, teasing Liam together with Niall. As soon as they walked into the dance hall Jesy rushed to Harry's side and began to talk to him, occasionally slipping flirty comments. If she would have turned around she would have seen Louis shooting daggers at her. But soon she had to part from Harry since the lesson began and she was Nialls' partner.

As soon as the five minutes break came though she was back at Harry's side. Louis stayed away talking to Eleanor instead but his eyes never leaving Jesy and his Harry.

"Hey Harry. That looked good on you."

The curly haired boy did what he always did when Jesy complimented him. He looked to his side and mumbled, "Thanks."

Like always the girl's face fell a bit at his lack of response, but normally she would ignore it. However, this time she asked with a small voice, "Why are you never responding to me, Harry?"

The boy's breath hitched, not knowing what to say, so he decided to play dumb, "What do you mean?"

Jesy rolled her eyes but her voice stayed vulnerable, "Are you that obvious? I think I made it pretty clear that I liked you. So what is it? Do you have a girlfriend? Is it me? Oh my gosh, am I too fat?"

Harry looked at her shocked and only managed to stutter out, "W- what? No, gosh no! you're not too fat. I- I just. I'm-..."

He was cut off by a pair of lips against his own. Not just any pair of lips. Definetely not the pair of lips he wanted against his own. He was about to awake from his frozen state and push Jesy away when she was yanked back rather roughly.

"What the fuck do you think you're doing?" Louis yelled at her and stood infront of Harry protectively.

Jesy opened her mouth, then closed it again. When she saw the look Louis was giving her she tried again, "Wh- what? I just thought he was shy and I-... I tried to help him. What is yo-..."

"So you thought it was a good idea to kiss my boyfriend?" Louis interrupted. Everyone in the room looked at him in various states of shocked and surprised. Harry felt Louis freezing for a moment. But after a few seconds of complete silence Louis continued, glaring at Jesy, "That's right. He's my boyfriend and you stay the fuck away from him or I will personally-..."

"Lou." Harry interrupted and laid a hand on the smaller boy's biceps, spinning him around. He knew Louis was furious and as hot as it was to see him all jealous and protective, he didn't want Jesy ending up in tears. He cupped his cheek and stroked his thump softly over the skin there, looking into his gourgeous blue eyes, "It's okay." He whispered, "She didn't know. And I don't want her. Or anyone that's not you, for that matter."

Louis' features grew visibly softer while he spoke. He wrapped an arm around Harry's waist and with the other he pulled him down by his neck so their lips could meet in a soft kiss. "Awww"s echoed through the hall, Eleanor the loudest.

Louis pulled away and buried his blushing face in Harry's shoulder. He had almost forgotten where they were and that they had an audience. Harry blushed too but he smiled proudly and wrapped his arms tightly around the smaller boy.

"Harry. My family doesn't even know." Louis complained, reality hitting him. They were currently walking to the chinese restaurant Louis and Eleanor were a few weeks ago. They had decided to get something for dinner after the dance class. "Neither do my friends. Well, except for Calum and Michael. They really gave me a piece of their minds after they met you in the shopping mall."

Harry laughed, but getting serious as he asked, "Do you want them to know?" The gave Louis' hand a squeeze, their hands being intertwined between them.

Louis thought for a moment before answering slowly, "I don't know if... if this is too fast. This is all so fast."

Harry nodded, "You have to do what you think is right. Wait till you're ready and all that. But, err... What are you afraid of? Like, what's stopping you?" Harry's voice was laced with sincerity and honesty but also with curiousity. Louis was thankful for that.

"I... I-..." He didn't know, really. It was more his feelings that made him hesistate, it was irrational. He wasn't afraid that they wouldn't accept him, especially not his family. They would love him the same and he knew it. "I don't know. It just feels weird, I guess." He answered Harry's question.

The curly haired nodded again, "Okay, I understand. Do whatever feels right."

Louis stopped walking and turned Harry by his waist before pressing a short kiss to his lips. "Thanks, you're the best." He smiled.
