Alec took all the things of him that he left in Magnus home in a small bag and when he was downstairs he put on his jacket. Nothing in his home should remember Magnus on him so moving on would be easier and he wouldn't have to get any of his stuff later. His heart was so heavy from all the pain and it just wanted to rest but it could never be light again. It would never feel the joy he felt when he was with Magmus again and it would never be whole again. Alec tried to prepare what he should say but it only made him cry and he had no idea how he should break Magnus heart even it was for the best. Magnus heard footsteps behind him and turned around with a slight smile that faded immediately as he saw Alecs red eyes. "Alexander...what happened? Why were you crying?" Magnus was so worried that he didn't even realize Alec was wearing a jacket and Alec took a deep breath. "Magnus...I need to tell you something and you need to promise me to respect my decision because I made it and I'm sure about it." Alec tried to sound strong but in the inside this was ripping him apart and Magnus heart dropped. He felt sick in his stomach as he heard Alecs words and tears already filled his eyes because deep in his heart he knew what was going on. "I thought a lot about us the last few days...it was a mistake to say yes when you asked me to move in with you." Alecs pain in his heart was almost unbearable when he saw how Magnus heart broke right in front of him but he knew that would fade. "What do you mean? Alexander...I...you were so happy." Magnus couldn't find the right words struggling with keeping back tears and he stepped closer to Alec. "I was...you made me feel like everything is possible and for a moment I was just me. For a moment I loved and was free but I realized that was not true. I...never...I never loved you, Magnus." These words and lie hurt Alec more than anything in the world because as he saw it caused Magnus to break down in tears he knew this was it. This was the end of the only thing that could save him. "I know you love me...don't say you don't...you're lying." Magnus was crying and he couldn't believe Alecs words because every vein in his body told him Alec loved him. Magnus stepped another step closer to Alec and cupped his face in his hand forcing Alec to look straight into his eyes. "Don't leave me...you are everything for me. What ever it is I promise you we will figure it out." Magnus voice was barely a whisper and tears streamed down his face before he placed a desperated kiss on Alecs lips. The kiss tasted salty and every emotion was only painful. "No...I can't do this...I can't pretend any longer. This...us has to end...now." Alec couldn't help but tears started to ran down his cheeks and Magnus tried desperately to hold onto him but Alec was already gone. "Then look in my eyes...tell me you don't love me...tell me all the times you told me you do was a lie...tell me your heart doesn't cry out for me like mine does right now to you...and tell me this...us is not true love." Magnus heart was breaking into million little pieces never having the chance to be put back together again and Alec swallowed. "This love was a lie from the beginning...I loved the way you made me feel but nothing more. There is no love...I'm sorry." With these last final words Alec turned around and hurried out of the house leaving Magnus behind. Magnus stood there on the place he was left not able to move or talk anymore. Just a few moments ago everything seemed to be alright and now he lost the only thing that mattered for him anymore. The only person he never expected to leave left and with him he left a deep hole where his heart was supposed to be...where he was supposed to be. It felt like the blood in Magnus veins stopped. All noises around Magnus became quite until it was completely silent in his house. The noise stopped...his blood stopped and in the end the world stopped. He didn't understand anything yet did he understand what just walked out of his life. Alec ran as fast as he could out of the house not forgetting his bag while he ran because he couldn't see Magnus like that. He couldn't see the person he loved more than anyone else in this world so broken and in pain. It was even worse because he put Magnus through all this pain and he was the reason why his Love was so broken. Alec started to realize that now Magnus wasn't his anymore...this love wasn't theirs anymore. The only thing that was left was heartache and pain but he knew Magnus would find someone else. He was sure there was someone out there who could make Magnus happier than he ever could and that was, what would make all the pain worth it.
