"She...she did it." Jace mumbled looking down on the ground and before Alec could say anything Jace crashed down on his knees. "Who is she? And what did she do?" Alec asked really carefully and he was breathing heavier while he slowly walked closer to his brother. "She...she killed him." Jace only mumbled and it was barely hearable but Alec did hear every single word. "Who did she kill?" Alec asked again and slowly kneeled down in front of Jace. Jace bended a little forward letting his head hung down and placed his palms on his tighs. "Mom...she was it." Jace answered his voice so broken it hurt to hear it and he let out a painful cry. Alec kneeled there speechless not sure what to do and shocked about what Jace just said. "She killed him." Jace sobbed out and in that moment Alec forgot about everything that had happened and wrapped his arms around his little brother. Alecs heart was beating like carzy and he couldn't believe what Jace just told him. Jace mother...the best friend of his mom killed Jace father and if Alec put it right together she burned the hous down. Jace sobbed in Alecs shoulder finally hugging him back after what felt like minutes for Alec even it were only seconds. Jace clunched onto the shirt of Alec afraid his brother would leave but Alec would never leave him in situations like that. "Just let it out...we will figure it out...I promise you." Alec promised his little brother and saw now where all this anger came from. He had no idea how long Jace kept this for himself but he was sure how much it hurt him or even broke him. Jace adored his parents even he didn't really remember them but Maryse made sure to always tell him how great they were. Finding out now that his mom...one of the person he missed so dearly was the reason for his lost was like a world broke down. "Breath...just take deep breaths." Alec was a little helpless but he only did what he could and tried to comfort his little brother. After a few minutes or 10 to be exactly Jace calmed down a little and only sniffed still holding Alec tightly. "Will you tell me how you found out?" Alec asked after a few seconds pulling back from the hug and looking with sad eyes at his brother. He didn't want that he was sad even he was so mad at him only a few minutes ago but things changed. "I...I found a letter...mom wrote a letter...she thought dad was cheating and she was scared to lose everything...she said in death nothing could rip us apart." Jace answered his voice shaking and you could hear how hard he tried to keep himself from sobbing again. Alecs jaw dropped and his eyes were wide open in shock. Alec couldn't help it but hearing this and how his brother suffered brought tears into his eyes. He couldn't believe that the woman his mom told him all the great storys about was able to kill his husband and their child. "I went to dad...he told me the whole truth...he told me mom had mental issues...she was paranoid and...and she was having depression." Jace added tears runnimg down his cheeks and his eyes were shot red from crying. Alec was shocked that his dad knew about that the whole time but he knew why he didn't tell Jace. It was hard enough for Jace that people only said that it was someone from the family but neither of them dared to think about what would happen with Jace if it was the truth. "Is that why you told Clary that you don't want the child?" Alec asked and he saw how something in Jace broke the second he mentioned her name. "I love her...I will always do...but she is better off without me...without my problems." Jace answered trying to put himself together and in that second Alec saw himself in Jace. "I thought that too. I also thought Magnus was better without me but he showed me different. I only had to let him. A real relationship means that you tell each other about your problems and solve them together. Clary needs you Jace and what your mom did won't change that. She needs you now more than ever and you need her too." Alec spoke with a soft but serious voice and Jace shook his head a little looking down on his hands. "Even if she does...I think I lost her with my behavior...and I can't even be mad at her for that. She should hate me...she should wish that I die." Jace cried not daring to look at his brother who couldn't fight the tears anymore. He hated that his brother felt this pain and thought Clary would want him to be dead. "You did fuck up big, Jace but Clary would never hate you and she would never want you to die. She loves you and she will always do." Alec wanted his brother to be happy and only feel joy in his life but there were things even a bigger brother couldn't protect you. "You really think that?" Jace asked lifting his head looking with a hopeful look at Alec who nodded lightly. "I was thinking a lot about what I said...I'm sorry, Alec...you aren't a coward...actually you are one of the strongest person I know...and I'm glad you have him." Jace apologize with a guilty voice and Alec smiled weakly at him. "I was wrong too. You are a Lightwood and you will always be one." Alec answered another tear slipping out of his eyes and Jace smiled with tear dropps rolling down his cheeks. "Brothers?" Jace asked with hope in his eyes and Alec cracked a smile. "Always." Alec answered pulling Jace into a bone crushing hug and Jace hugged him back in the matter of a second. Like Magnus promised it would be okay...//tbc sorry for that😭But at least Alec and Jace are fine now...at least as brothers💙💙💙💙
