"You could maybe invite Mark and his wife too." Alec said casually while he was cutting the carrots in small pieces and Magnus put the potatoes in the big pan. "You wouldn't mind?" Magnus asked and Alec looked at him pretty confused stopping with the cutting. "Why would I mind that?" Alec answered having no idea why it should be any problem and Magnus shrugged. "Maybe you want it to be a family dinner." Magnus said starting to cut the paprica and Alec stopped him with a gentel hand move. "Look, you said we will celebrate so I think we should invinte the people who made us to the person we are now." Alec explained placing his hands around Magnus neck and Magnus rose an eyebrow. "Okay...but how did help Mark me to become who I am now?" Magnus asked knwoing that Mark had really something to do with it and Alec shrugged. "I mean...I know you. Without Mark you would have probably  died cause you went alone in a bar with people who hat celebrities inside." Alec was pretty much joking but he also had a little bit of truth in it and Magnus rolled his eyes still smiling tho. "I wouldn't be that dumb." Magnus complained earning a soft kiss from Alec who smiled at him. "I never said you are dumb. You just only see the good side in the world sometimes and you are too...too..." "Naiv?" Magnus asked not wanting to get upset by it but it still hurt him a little that Alec thought he was naiv. Alec shook his head quickly not thinking that this word he was looking for because Magnus wasn't naiv. "You aren't naiv. I meant that you  are a little too careless...don't get me wrong on that because I love this about you. You don't care anymore what others think about you or what the news gossip about you and I really adore you for this. Just sometimes you do things without thinking... like driving alone with no protection after the carcrash...please don't be mad." Alec answered with a shy voice and he was really worried that Magnus would get it wrong. He didn't want Magnus to get upset or even worse and he looked at Magnus with concern. "I'm not mad, Alexander. You are right...sometimes I am a little reckless but...my parents always worried about everything and sometimes I felt like their life just passed them. I don't want to live my life like that...sure you can't compare the life they had with the life I have now but to be honest we had the most important things. We had us and we had food which was enough to live...but they never really saw that. I want to life my live everyday because I only live once." Magnus answered really trying to put his feelings in words which wasn't always easy but he knew Alec would understand him. Alec frowned softly at him and caressed Magnus hair with his hand. "Now that's not true...you don't live only once. You live every day and only die once." Alec corrected him which made Magnus chuckle softly but now that Magnus heard that he had to say it was true. "I take that as a 'No, Magnus. I have no problem with Mark joining us for dinner.' Okay?" Magnus asked imitating Alecs voice but if you asked Alec the imitation was a little too much and he shut Magnus up with a quick peck. "You can take it like that, yes. Let's continue to cook because they will be here in an hour." Alec suggested knowing if they wouldn't continue now they would never get done. Magnus nodded with a smile and wanted to kiss Alec again but Alec pulled back making Magnus look at him in confusion. "We need to hurry!" Alec answered making Magnus even more confused and he looked at Alec questioning. "What? So I can't kiss my boyfriend?" Magnus asked and Alec rolled his eyes blushing a little. "Oh you know how we get." Alec mumbled nudging Magnus with his ellbow a little and Magnus chuckled. "Right...I will go and call Mark to invite him." Magnus answered still not believing Alec admited that things pretty much got out of hand many times and left Alec in the kitchen. Magnus went to his office because he really didn't like people hearing him talking over the phone and he just liked to be alone. "Come on Magnus, just call him." Magnus said looking at the ID on his phone and took a deep breath before he pushed the call button. It rang exactly 3 times before the person on the other side picked up the phone and Magnus was really glad it didn't take longer. "Magnus hello..., everything alright?" Mark sounded pretty worried which confused Magnus at first but he just gussed that was only Mark being Mark. "Hello to you too. Yes everything is fine but I actually wanted to invite you to my place. Alec has a new job and we wanted to celebrate that but I also wanted to make up for my stupid behavior." Magnus explained a little nervous and he heard Mark sighing. "You didn't act stupid but Daniel told me you drove alone and trained in the forest again... that's stupid but we will talk later about this. Dinner sounds nice." Mark answered and it felt like a huge rock fell from Magnus heart he even had to chuckle about Marks words. He liked Mark and he really didn't mean to be so hard on him. "Of course your wife is invited too." Magnus smiled in the phone only having one worry left and that was Jadon but Magnus still needed time for that. "Great, I will tell her. When should we be there?" Mark asked and Magnus could hear a baby crying in the background which was probably Marks granddaughter. "In 1 hour...thank you Mark." Magnus answered really glad that Mark and he were fine again. "No problem, Magnus. See you later... I gotta go." Mark said hanging up the phone in a rush needeing to calm the baby down and Magnus could let out a breath he was holding for a few hours now.
