"Thanks, it was a really nice day." Alec smiled when they stood in front of the house saying goodbye to Noah and Jacob. Max fell asleep so Magnus was carrying him in his arms and Jacob smiled back. "Oh we should say thank you. Carter was really happy about the gift...I hope we can repay that soon." Jacob answered an Noah apeared behind him placing his hands on Jacobs hips. "Have a good night and I'll see you tomorrow, Magnus." Noah said not knowing yet what happened with Mark and Magnus left it like that for today. "Sure thing...bye." Magnus said while he carefully placed Max in his care seat and put his seatbelt on. They said their goodbyes and Alec said he would drive home since Magnus drank alcohol earlier with Noah. During the ride to Alecs place Magnus was oddly quiet and Alec saw he was lost in his own thoughts. Magnus was too deep in emotions yesterday to think about everything but now he seemed to had a better view on things. Magnus needed the time to cool down and Carters words were like a tattoo in his brain. Best friends would always forgive each other...well not always. There was a certain limit that could be reached and even best friends couldn't go back to normal after they crossed this line but where was that limit? Magnus thought Jadon really reached that limit with faking his death but there was something that confused Magnus about the limit. Jadon did everything because he only wanted to protect him  which was what best friend did and Magnus couldn't see that point earlier. Alec gave Magnus the time to collect himself and to rethink his actions but he would be there if Magnus needed him. Alec pulled the car down in front of his home but Magnus seemed to be so lost in his thoughts that he didn't realize it and Alec smiled at him. Inside Magnus head there was a little war right now and he didn't know which part of him would win. One part really wanted to forgive Jadon because he was his best friend and he would always love him but on the other hand the scare of Jadons betrayal sat deep in him. Alec carefully placed his hand on Magnus shoulder and Alec could basically see the moment Magnus mind came back inside the car. "Wow...were here." Magnus realized and looked around with a surprised look. "Yeah...let's go inside." Alec said with a soft smile on his lips and Magnus sighed a little. "I should go home...it's already late." Magnus answered seeing how dissapointment flashed over Alecs face. "You don't want to stay?" Alec asked pretty upset but he didn't want Magnus to feel forced and pulled his hand away from Magnus shoulder. "I would love to...but I don't want to bother y..." "Stop right there and now. You Magnus Bane, could never bother me and I love to share my bed with you so don't go home because of this. Also I don't want you to be alone now." Alec cut Magnus off with a firm voice but his eyes looked a little concerned and Magnus had to smile. It felt good to know that someone cared about him and the way Alec cared for him was new. "Then I will stay." Magnus answered and a big smile covered Alecs lips. "Let's go inside." Alec answered happily because Magnus would stay and he got out of the car. Since it was already 9pm he put Max in bed and then he went to Magnus who was waiting in his room. Alec walked inside his room shutting the door quietly and when he walked towards his bed he saw Magnus was only there laying in his boxershorts. Alec had a hard time to not start drooling but he took a few seconds to look at Magnus beautiful body before he opened his shirt buttons. Alec felt comfortable with Magnus enough to only sleep in his underwear so he just got arid of any other clothing and then he joined Magnus in bed. "Quiet a little starer, aren't you?" Magnus asked teasingly making Alec blush furiosly and Alec snuggled closer in Magnus side. "Can't do anything about it if you look like an angel." Alec mumbled shyly and Magnus had to chuckle but he liked to hear Alec complimenting him. "Do you think I overreacted?" Magnus asked bluntly and Alec was first confused but then he understood him. "I don't think you did...your action were led by the emotions you felt then and I guessd they weren't that pleasant. It is okay to let them out...you taught me that." Alec answered looking up at Magnus who looked right down at him and Magnus shook his head a little. "I love you." Magnus said quietly and Alec smiled at him before he placed a soft kiss on Magnus lips. "I also think I should talk with Mark...he just wanted to protect me." Magnus said when they pulled back from the kiss and Alec could see guilt in Magnus eyes. "You did nothing wrong, Magnus. Mark understands you and he knows just like everyone that you needed time to cool down." Alec answered laying his head down on Magnus chest and wrapped on arm over Magnus tummy. "I will call Mark tomorrow but I think I still need more time to make my mind clear about Jadon." Magnus sighed running his hand through Alecs hair and Alec placed a little kiss on Magnus chest.
