AU where Shiori and Tamao are childhood friends

"Hey, hey, Doi-chan!" Tamao called, slamming her lunch tray down on the table.

"Hey Nishioka," Shiori responded, not looking up from her bento.

"I told you to call me Tamao!" Tamao pouted, sitting down next to her, poking her cheek.

Shiori raised an eyebrow, "And I told you to call me Shiori."

Tamao paused, "Ah."

"Tamao, we've been childhood friends since kindgergarden. I honestly thought you would've learnt to call me by my first name by now."

"Don't make fun of me!"

A random guy walked up to the two. Shiori didn't quite keep up with the school news, but she knew that he was head of the football team. "Hey, Tamao~!" He hummed.

Tamao looked up, muttering to Shiori, "What the fuck is the most popular guy in the class doing here?"

Shiori shrugged.

The guy wrapped an arm around Tamao's shoulder.

"What the fuck?" Tamao quietly hissed.

"Hey, how's my girlfriend doing?" The guy asked.

"Excuse me, what?" Shiori asked, knowing that Tamao is a chaotic lesbian.

"What do you mean girlfriend?" Tamao asked, trying to lean away from the guy.

Some of the other guys from the football team walked up, "Yo, is this your girlfriend?"

The guy tightened his arm around Tamao, "Hell yeah! This is my girlfriend, the ultimate matchmaker!"

Tamao had accidentally revealed her Hope's Peak acceptance letter to the entire class when she ran in yelling, "SHIORI, I MADE IT TO HOPE'S PEAK!"

It would make any guy instantly popular to be dating someone about to go into Hope's Peak.

So of course, someone would make a rumor about dating Tamao.

Shiori facepalmed internally.

Tamao fidgeted, uncomfortable.

The guy pulled her up, "C'mon, I'll introduce you to the gang!"

Tamao looked back at Shiori with a panicked look in her eyes.

Shiori stood up, "Oh hey, before you leave, I have a poem to tell you guys."

The football team members sighed, "What is it?"

Shiori slapped the leader, "Roses are red. Violets are blue. Tamao is a lesbian. Fuck you."

Tamao fell down laughing as the football players stood in shock.

"You little bitch," The leader scowled, letting go of Tamao and stomping towards Shiori.

"I get that you guys are childhood friends and all that, and are really protective of each other," One of the other members said, "But, you shouldn't lie about someone's sexuality just to make sure they aren't taken away from you."

Tamao finally recovered, "She's not lying. I'm a lesbian."

The boys looked shocked.

"Oh, we're so sorry!" One of them apologized.

Another was scolding the leader for forcing someone into a relationship.

The lunch bell rang and everyone moved to go to class.

Shiori and Tamao was told to go to the principal's office by the teacher during their last class.

As they both walked inside, they saw their principal and another man.

Thirty minutes later, it was explained that the scout for Hope's Peak was in the cafeteria eariler that day.

He said he was there to give Tamao an updated acceptance letter, but during that he saw Shiori make up the poem on the spot.

He searched up her name and saw that she was actually made poems under a pen name.

So when they left the office, both of them had an acceptance letter in their hand.
