Shiori entered the dining hall with Isamu at her side. Why had Monokuma made an announcement? It had to be another motive. She looked around, and everyone was there, everyone that was still alive... 

"Okay, class! Now it's time to unveil the new motive!" 

"Please! No more!" Hikari cried, "Haven't we had enough? Haven't we lost enough people?"

"Ahhh, but Hikari, that's the point of a killing game. So, now for the motive! I'll give everyone one fact about another student that they don't want you to know!"

"But we won't! We won't kill each other anymore!" Shiori yelled.

"Yeah!" Tamao yelled.

"I...I don't want anyone else to die!" Hikari said.

"Ahh, just you wait," Monokuma said, "In time, two more of you will be dead. I can promise you that. Now, go back to your rooms. Happy killing!"

They all went back to their rooms for the night. Shiori was confident in everyone's abilities to not kill each other. She drifted off to sleep, like every night.

In the morning, Shiori went to the dining hall as usual. Isamu was already making breakfast. Kazue and Hikari were talking, Hoizumi and Tomoyasu were sitting in separate corners.

Tamao walked up to Shiori, "Morning, Doi-chan!"

"Morning, Tamao." Shiori was still thinking about the motive. What would her secret be? What would everyone's secrets be? Would any of them be enough for someone to kill anyone? Would her's be enough to motivate someone? 

"Don't worry, Doi-chan. We'll be fine. We'll all be fine."

"But, Tamao, we've said that every time. Nine people are dead."

"We just have to believe."

"I guess..." Shiori was quiet all through breakfast. She barely noticed when everyone around her got up and left. She finally got up to leave, but she noticed that Tomoyasu was still there. No one had talked to him, because they found him rather mean. Shiori walked up to him, having nothing better to do. 

"What do you want, Doi?" 

"I just noticed you were alone." 

 "Yeah, I'm alone. So what?"

"I'm not sure. I'm just kind of lonely."

"Alright, fine. I'll hang out with you." 

 Would you like to spend your free time with Tomoyasu?

Yes

No 

 "So, what do we do now?" 

"Tomoyasu, do you ever hang out with people?" 

"What's it to you?" 

"Well, I'm trying to hang out with you." 

"Whatever..." 

"You aren't very sociable." 

"Yes, I'm aware. Everyone hates me." 

"I'd comfort you, but honestly you're right." 

"Yeah, thanks." 

"I mean, I'm not wrong." 

"True." 

"Are we just talking about how everyone hates you?" 

"I'm sure my family would have lots of things to say about that." 

"I'm not even going to ask." 

 "Good. I wouldn't even say anything." 

"Of course you wouldn't" 

"Yeah. I should be going now..." 

"Okay." 

Free Time Event Complete

 Tomoyasu and I grew a little closer today. 

 Shiori went back to her room and didn't think much of that interaction for the rest of the day.

 When they returned to the dining hall that evening, Shiori was the first one there, so she watched everyone come in. First was Isamu, because he was making the food. Then was Hikari and Kazue, who seemed to be closer more recently. After them was Hoizumi, who was distant and sad as usual. Tomoyasu didn't show, but he was rude, and no one seemed to worry about him. They ate in peace for a while, until Hikari said: "You think we should check on him?" 

"Who?" Hoizumi replied 

"Who else? Tomoyasu!" 

 "Whatever. Sonoda can go die." 

"That's mean, Hoizumi. Kazue, why don't we go check on him?" 

"Sure." 

"Hey, guys, can I join you?" Shiori asked, to her surprise. 

"Of course," Hikari said.

I'm sure he's fine, Shiori thought, When we get there, he'll be fine...

Shiori kept thinking that the whole way to his dorm room. 

When they got there, they did the polite thing and knocked. He didn't answer. "Tomoyasu?" Hikari said, "Are you in there?" They were still trying to figure out if they should just try to open the door when they heard a scream coming from the direction that they came from.

They ran in the direction of the scream. It appeared to be coming from the library. They opened the door and found Isamu, who was the one screaming. "What was it?" Kazue yelled.

"Over there...behind the shelves..." 

They walked over there, and when they saw what it was, they nearly screamed as well. 

Tomoyasu was dead.
