Chapter 3 - Daily Life Day 8 - Concert
Everyone was at the concert, even Tomoyasu.
That's surprising, considering what happened this morning.
...
Was it seriously only twelve hours ago?
Sadako, Chiyo, and Hitoshi climbed up onto the stage. On it was a microphone stand with a microphone, of course, and a guitar stand with an amp.
Sadako stood a little closer than the other two, making Shiori assume she was going to be the leader of their small band tonight.
"Thanks for attending our small concert!" Sadako exclaimed, waving her arms in the air.
Chiyo and Hitoshi also threw their hands in the air.
Chiyo tapped something on the laptop, making music start playing. It was at that moment Shiori realized that they all had headsets on.
Tamao walked over to Shiori, leaning against her, "Baking is exhausting. How does Yoshioka-kun do it so easily?"
Shiori laughed, something she felt she did much easily with Tamao, "That's probably why he's the ultimate baker."
Tamao giggled, "Yeah, you're right."
Hitoshi was surprisingly the one who started singing first.
"Dad says act our age. You heard the man. It's time to rage!"
Shiori saw Tamao literally light up. Tamao joined in with Sadako's and Chiyo's singing, although she was singing quietly, "Blast the bass! Turn off the lights! Ain't nobody home tonight!"
Shiori blinked, "What?"
Tamao shook her head, "I keep forgetting you don't know musicals."
Shiori smiled.
Tamao dragged her over to a foldable table that she and Bunta had set up earlier with all the food.
She quickly grabbed a macaroon and popped it in her mouth. Tamao picked a pink one up, placing it in Shiori's hand, "Try it!"
Shiori slid it into her mouth, biting down.
Strawberry?
Tamao beamed up at her, "Is it good?"
Shiori nodded, licking her lips. Tamao smiled, "Well, that's reassuring. I'm the one who made them after all, with help from Yoshioka."
Shiori picked up another one, "It's really good for what I'm assuming your first time."
"You think so?"
Shiori ruffled the younger's hair, "Yeah."
They both looked around the gym.
Bunta and Isamu were dancing together.
Katsushi was attempting to flirt with Hikari, drinking from one of those iconic red plastic cups, while Hikari tried to back away from him.
Hoizumi was leaning against the wall, engaging in a small conversation with Tomoyasu.
Kazue was dancing the same dance as Sadako and Chiyo.
Shiori noticed Sadako dipping Chiyo on the stage while Hitoshi played his guitar, staring in jealously.
Probably upset he can't dance with them and has to play his guitar.
The three teenagers on the stage started the chorus.
"The folks are gone! It's time for big fun! Big fun!"
Tamao dragged Shiori to an empty space in the middle of the gym.
Tamao allowed Shiori to dip her, a silent invitation to dance.
Shiori accepted it and spun Tamao around. Out of the corner of her eye, she could see Bunta and Isamu doing the same thing, as well as Sadako and Chiyo.
"We're up till dawn. We're having big fun! Big fun!"
It surprised Shiori how easily she was willing to dance with Tamao.
This is amazing.
"When mom and dad forget to lock the liquor cabinet!"
Tamao laughed, spinning around with Shiori.
"It's big fun! Big fun!"
Tamao and Shiori spent the rest of that song dancing with each other.
When the song ended, Shiori noticed something new on the table.
"Are those drinks?" Shiori asked, pointing to the table while the band sang a new song.
"Everybody's got a red solo cup. Fill it up, fill it up. Let the beer spill on the ground!"
"Everybody's all like sup, yo man, sup! Let's catch up! Let's smoke up! Look at how many drinks I've downed!"
Tamao picked up a cup before Hoizumi walked over and knocked it out of her hand, spilling it on the ground.
"Eh?"
"It's spiked."
"Like poison?" Shiori asked, leaning over the cups.
"No, like alcohol," Hoizumi scoffed.
"Ah."
The song ended quickly and the trio started a new song.
"I've learned to slam on the brake before I even turn the key."
Hikari quickly headed over to them.
"Help!" She hissed.
"What's going on?" Tamao asked, tilting her head.
"Katsushi keeps trying to flirt with me," Hikari sighed.
"C'mon~, Hikari-chan~", Katsushi slurred, leaning onto Hikari. She immediately pushed him off, letting him fall to the ground.
"He drank the spiked punch, didn't he?" Hoizumi rolled his eyes.
"Yeah," Hikari shook her head.
Katsushi quickly got up, and Hikari ran away.
The rest of the concert was spent like that.
Dancing, eating, conversating, Hikari running away from Katsushi, etc.
Shiori was honestly surprised no one took advantage of the opportunity to kill someone.
Oh well, best not to look at it too closely.
(A/N: Hmmm, I wonder who I ship??? Also, hah, fooled you, I didn't kill anyone. Finally, Musical references because they're a bop.)
