Shiori opened the door to the dining hall, glancing around the room frantically.

The bad feeling had remained in her body, causing her to be paranoid.

Hoizumi slammed his fists on the table and ran out of the room suddenly.

"Eh?! Shinsato-kun, come back!" Tamao shouted after him, also racing out the room.

After a moment, Shiori followed them.

"What's going on?" Shiori asked Tamao as they followed Shinsato down the hallway, his pace never slowing.

Tamao shrugged.

He slammed open a door and rushed inside.

Tamao and Shiori turned to look inside the doorway.

...

No.

It's not real.

But...

If it's a dream...

Why are they hanging there?

Their body was hanging from the ceiling from a rope connected to the ceiling fan. Underneath them was a knocked over stool and a bloodstained knife. On the dresser was the accessory they  wore everyday. Their left wrist was covered in horizontal cuts.

Daiki Tsuchida, the ultimate parkourist, was dead.

Out of the corner of her eye, Shiori saw Shinsato fall to his knees.

The monitor turned on, showing Monokuma smiling widely.

"A body has been discovered! After a certain amount of time, the class trial will begin!"

Confused mumbles echoed around the hallway.

As the rest of the class walked in, the monitor turned off.

"What?!"

"No,no,no,no,no!"

"Why?"

"..."

"Shinsato-kun?" Tamao asked hesitantly, "Are you okay?"

Hoizumi stayed silent, before a small noise tore it's way out of his throat. The noise evolved into full on sobbing.

"Well then," Tomoyasu asked, "Shall we head back to breakfast?"

"What?!" Tamao responded, "T-Tsuchida-kun is literally dead! Y-You can't just go back to eating breakfast after that!"

"I mean," Katsushi cut in, "It is pretty obvious that it's a suicide."

A majority of the group slowly began to agree.

"Nishioka, you know they're right.." Shiori reluctantly agreed.

"No!" Hoizumi screamed, getting up, "He wouldn't! Daiki was too fucking optimistic to just commit suicide like that! You're all liars!"

The monitor turned on again. Monokuma giggled, "Upupupu, if only one person wishes to investigate, we have to start the class trial immediately! You must have a total of four people who want to investigate!"

Hoizumi stared at the group, tears still falling.

Silence.

Mayumi stepped to the front of the crowd, "I'll investigate."

Isamu also walked to the front, "As will I."

The rest of the class started to leave, Shiori included.

She looked back, "Nishioka? You coming?"

Tamao looked down, "I'm staying."

Shiori blinked, "You're gonna water your time, but alright."

She then left.
