Chapter 1- Daily Life Day 1- Free time Event - Daiki
"This is the morning announcement! It is now 7am!"
Shiori lifted her head up from her pillow.
She took a look around the room.
The walls were a cyan color with gold patterns on them. There was a wall almost separating the room in half. On it was a monitor and security camera. Past the wall was the door and an empty space.
On the side of the wall she could see was a desk, a chair, and a trash can. Shiori turned around to see a shelf above the bed. On it was a lint roller and a sewing kit.
Ahiru would probably love that. I hope she has one in her room.
Shiori turned to the white door,a contrast from the brown door that led to the hallway, a couple of feet away form the bed.
She stood up and walked over to the door, opening it.
Inside was a standard bathroom with a shower and sink.
Pretty normal.
Wait, didn't Nishioka say for the group to meet in the dining hall?
Shiori strolled over to the dining hall, still gazing around the building.
Is this really Hope's Peak Academy?
She pushed the door open.
Only Ahiru, Tamao, and Tomoyasu were there. Although, Ahiru and Tamao were talking at the main table while Tomoyasu sat by himself in the corner.
Tamao noticed her and waved, "Morning, Doi-chan!"
Ahiru nodded her head in greeting.
Shiori waved back, sitting down next to Tamao, "Are we the only ones here?"
Tamao shook her head, "Nah, Yoshioka-kun's making breakfast in the kitchen. Also Hamada's in there helping him with the drinks. They make a good team!"
Shiori nodded, and started up a conversation.
As they talked, more and more people started coming into the room.
At last, they were all there.
Except for two.
"Where's Tsuchida and Shinsato?" Shiori asked after a half hour had passed.
Everyone looked around the room.
"They're not here." Tamao bit her lip.
Muttering echoed around the room.
"Where are they?!"
"What if they're dead?!"
"One probably killed the other! I'm placing my bet on Shinsato being the killer."
"No one is killing anyone!" Tamao shouted, slamming her fists down, shutting the room up.
At that specific moment in time, the two missing decided to walk through the door.
Or more specifically, only Hoizumi walked through the door.
Everyone quieted at the sight.
Shiori blinked.
No.
I can't believe it.
Daiki was draped across Hoizumi's back, drooling quietly. Hoizumi was carrying him in a piggyback ride.
All at once, the room started screaming or fangirl squealing.
Hoizumi shut everyone up with a glare, "Shush. He's still sleeping."
"I thought you couldn't break into anyone's room," Shiori commented, in a low voice.
"I didn't," Hoizumi replied, "We slept in the same dorm room and he wouldn't get up so I carried him here. Although, he doesn't stay there. Daiki stays in his room for the day, and comes to mine at night, so far."
Shiori asked another question, "Why was he in your room? Isn't that against the rules?"
Hoizumi rolled his eyes, sitting down in an empty seat, coincidentally sitting down next to Shiori, allowing them to continue their conversation. He paused to set Daiki on the seat next to him.
"It's against the rules to sleep outside the dorms," Hoizumi explained, "It doesn't say anything about which dorm it has to be."
"But why?" Hikari asked, "When I walked over here, I noticed you two had the farthest apart dorms."
Daiki blinked his eyes open, "Eh? Hoi-chan? Where are we?"
"Breakfast hall," Bunta answered, setting down a plate of eggs on front of him, finally coming out of the kitchen with Isamu, "Have some breakfast."
Daiki yawned, "Thanks Yoshi!"
"Y-Yoshi?" Katsushi giggled, hiding it behind his hand.
"You know, his last name is Yoshioka, so I just shorted it." Daiki explained, shoving some eggs inside his mouth.
"You were sleeping in the same room?" Tamao asked, "There's only one bed though..Wait..Holy sh-"
She cut herself off squealing, "You two are totally a couple, oh my god!"
Hoizumi snapped his head towards her, "Nope. Just childhood friends!"
Tamao pouted, "Are you seriously doubting the ultimate matchmaker? Add the Hoi-chan thing too and it's obvious you two either are dating or have a crush on each oth-"
Bunta interrupted all of them by finishing handing everyone their breakfast, "Hurry up and eat before it gets cold!"
Shiori looked around.
I could get used to this.
-----------------------
Shiori was about to walk back to her room, when she was hit by an idea.
Hey, I'm gonna be stuck with these people for an extended period of time. Might as well talk to them.
As she decided that, she ran into Daiki.
"Oh hey, Doi!" Daiki waved.
Do you want to spend your Free Time with Daiki Tsuchida?
Yes
No
Shiori and Daiki started idly walking down the halls.
They came across a water bottle in the middle of the hallway for no reason.
"Hey, watch this," Shiori told Daiki, before picking up the water bottle and flipping it. It landed perfectly on its cap.
Daiki kicked it over, "No."
Daiki turned to her, "Although, I honestly didn't expect you to be caught up with meme or trends."
Shiori shrugged, "Eh, I'm a teenager. Kinda have to know these things."
She turned to him, "Why don't you like them?"
Daiki laughed, "Ah, that's kinda a long story."
"Please inform me," Shiori asked.
"So, before we got kidnapped, I hung out with a friend group. We did parkour together, all the time." Daiki sighed happily at the memory.
"Then one day we were messing around at a skate park. One part of it was really tall, and I was jumping over things there. One of my friends flipped his water bottle to show another friends, but he did it incorrectly and hit me in the face, causing me to fall off the platform. I broke my arm, so yeah." Daiki explained.
"Wow," Shiori finally answered to the story, "That's....interesting."
"You have no idea how hard it was to explain to my parents," Daiki muttered.
"What'd you say?" Shiori asked.
"That I fell down a hill."
"..."
"..."
"Did they even believe that?"
"Somehow." Daiki shrugged.
They talked about more stupid stuff.
Daiki and I grew a little closer today.
Bunta ran up to them, "Hey! Lunch is ready!"
"Already?" Daiki asked.
Shiori pulled out her monopad.
11:55 am
"Huh," Daiki commented, looking over her shoulder, "Guess it is."
The two headed to the dining hall, and ate lunch.
Afterwards, they split up.
Who should I spend time with next?
