An hour later, the group of rootless beasts that tried to attack the city retreated, almost more than half of them were wiped out and were now laying on the ground dead or heavily wounded.

But of course, the males from the city also suffered losses. Some females lost their mates, while many single males were also heavily injured or some had broken bones while others were laying limp on the ground.

Sera's mate, although none died or suffered any serious or heavy injury, they still had some minor and small cuts on them. But none that can't be healed within a day or so.

As the battle ended, some of the males began retreating back. Some going to the healer if they had a slightly more serious wound or just go back straight to their mates, knowing that she was back their in their home safe and sound surrounded by her other mates.

Of course this applied to Sera's mate too, all of them slowly walking back to the fox castle as the battle ended. Wanting nothing more but to see their precious mate and her cubs safe and sound in the castle.

"We really need to increase the patrols around the city, I didn't expect that many rootless males to band together and try to attack the city" Roscoe spoke, making Kenji nod.

"Your right, we can't let this continue on. Less we want to lose more males or worse get some of the females from our city stolen" Kenji said, in an almost growling like manner.

The thought of rootless beast, or even the desperate males invading and entering the city left a sour taste in his mouth. Especially that it's the same city where his queen, his precious and lovely mate was in.

"And we could all agree that she needs more mates" Marlo sighed. "Even if I don't like the thought of sharing her with anymore males, the thought of her potentially being in danger because she didn't have enough mate doesn't sit right with me" he said and the others agree.

"Your right" they all said with a sigh. "We're leaving in three days, we'll go to autumn city. She might find more potential and strong males along the way" Kenji said and they all nodded.

"And I can agree she needs more flying mate or those who can swim in water. Sure she has the merfolk guy but even he won't be enough if things get ugly and we're put on a disadvantage" Carlos said.

"Most of my brothers are from the owl, Peacock, eagle, falcon and hawk tribe since most of my mother's mate are flyers" Xavier said, earning several nods.

"Well thats good to hear then" Florence said as they can finally see the fox castle in the distance.

{Sera's POV}

I nervously paced back and forth around the room as I looked at my body every now and then to make sure all of my mates, saved for those who stayed behind, were all still alive.

And about an hour later, I heard the door opened and Kenji and the others entered. "Your back!" I cried out and rushed to them, looking at them up and down.

"Oh gosh, are you okay?" I asked, seeing the small and minor cuts on their bodies. "We're fine little mate, these will heal in a day or two" Tora said with a small smile as he ruffled my hair gently.

"If you say so" I said, still sounding worried. "We're fine little mate" Archie reassured me with a soft chuckle.

"You should pack up, Kenji is planning on going to the autumn city. We all agree you need more mates" Calvin said making me nod.

"If so, who's gonna go with me?" I asked. "Me, Marlo, Ian, Roscoe, Calvin, Xavier and Carlos. The rest will stay here and take care of the cubs" Kenji said making me nod.

"Don't have too much fun there little mate" Tora teased making me pout, which caused my mates to laugh as they shook their heads in amusement.

"His just teasing little one" Ian chuckled softly which just made me huff more, and instead of looking angry, I looked like a chipmunk with its cheeks puff out making them laugh more.

[ three days later.... ]

"Now, remember to behave okay? And watch you little brothers for me" I said to my three panthern cubs.

"Don't worry about them, we'll take care of them" Archie said, ruffling my hair affectionately.

"Be safe okay?" Tora said, standing besides me and placing a soft kiss on my head. "I will" I nodded and smiled before hugging each one of them before going to where Kenji and the others were waiting.

"Stay safe, and be careful out there" Kei said with a smile and I nodded, waving at them as Kenji shifted into his fox form and crouched down for me to ride his back.

With one final look and wave at my other mates, we left. Several other guards from the fox castle, and another males that the other kings sent joined us.

I was right in the middle of it all, with my mates that came with me. "How long till we arrive at Autumn city?" I asked Xavier.

"Well, if on foot then we can reach there in about 7 to 9 days, if by a flying beastman maybe 5 or 6 days" Xavier said making me nod.

"I can't wait to meet you mother, I'm sure she's a nice female" I chuckled softly and Xavier nodded with a smile.

"She is, and considering how you are. You and her will surely get along" he chuckled.

"She longed to have a female cub but wasn't able to have one. So she wanted to treat the mate of her cubs as one but most of them are arrogant and rude" he said and I nodded.

"Well then, I really hope we can get along. Another ally wouldn't hurt, especially if unexpected times comes" I hummed and he agreed.

"You know, I also want to visit the other cities and villages all over" I said making Kenji snort a little laugh as my other mates chuckled.

"Maybe in the future little mate, you will" Marlo said making me nod with a smile. We then fell into a comfortable silence, the only sound that can be heard are the footsteps of several beastmen and the occasional rustle of the foliage and the chirps of the birds.

I looked in front of me, a small smile plastered on my face as I waited for what the days might have in store for me in my journey to autumn city.
