[ Sera's POV ]

I stood there, shock and in disbelief at what I was seeing. Cassie just cut her mate's mark with a second thought. This was my first time seeing a female cut her mate's mark.

The only time I saw it was in the novel since Cassie did witness several females carelessly cut their mate's mark. It was describe as a painful thing for a male to experience, just like how painful it is for a female when she loses a male she loves.

Roscoe growled besides me before he gently pushed me behind him, standing in front of me in a protective manner. Glancing at my mates, I found them glaring at the direction of Cassie and the male.

With one glance from Xavier, Florence shifted into his beast form and without hesitation he howled. I felt uneasy as I stared at the Cassie then at the male that was still on his knees whimpering and clutching his chest.

'Poor him, but he should have been prepared on what might happen to him the moment he decided to be Cassie's mate. It was just unfortunate that he got his mark cut because of her and her silly reason' I thought as I shifted from feet to feet behind Roscoe.

"Don't worry little mate, the male is only a three star beast and there are a few of us here. Even if he did decided to attack, we'll make sure that he can't even touch a strand of you hair" Xavier said, stepping closer to me and still keeping an eye on the male.

Minutes passed and soon, several foxes, bears, apes and different other beastman arrived at the scene. "Sera!" Tora called out, making me look at him.

Every single male of mine Except for Archie who was in the castle looking after the cubs was here. "What happened? Are you okay?" Kenji said as he rushed over to us.

"I'm fine" I said as I felt myself being pulled into a hug. "What happened here?" He said, more like demanded, as he looked at Cassie and her mates.

"She cut his mark and that male is now rootless. We can't have him here just roaming around" Rio said, as he narrowed his eyes on the male who was still on the ground.

Kenji growled and several fox males shifted into their beast from, ready to chase the male at any given moment. "Chase him out" Kenji ordered as he pulled me closer to him, if that was even possible as he was already hugging me.

With that, the foxes and other males that came slowly but surely inched closer to the male who finally stopped whimper and was now panting hard as he stared at the ground.

Cassie was now being circled protectively by her mates as he slowly backed away from the male. "Let's go, no need to worry yourself about this" Kenji said as he lifted me up.

My mates then formed a protective circle around me as we walked away, they weren't gonna take any chances when it comes to my protection.

"I see you made him your suitor now" Kenji said as he looked at Roscoe and I hummed in response as I layed my head on his shoulder. "Yeah I have, more protection for me the better" I said and they all hummed in agreement.

I then turned my attention to Roscoe. "Is it alright for you to wait for a few days before we mate? I just wanna ensure your mark won't end up on my wrist or below my knees" I said and he nodded with a smile.

"It doesn't really matter where my mark will end up in, as long as I get to be with you" He said and I just shaked my head. "It really makes a difference, that just shows that I care for you and I didn't want you to be my mate because of your power or crystals" I said which cause him to smile softly.

"Thank you for accepting me as your suitor. I promise to protect you till my last breath" Roscoe vowed which caused me to smile. "Alright then" I grinned before I turned my attention to all my mates.

"Now listen here, I don't want any of you dying because in order to protect me you need to be alive right? So grow stronger so we can all live happily together. We might face problems in the future but we'll take it on as a family" I smiled at them, which they return with their own smiles.

"Of course little mate, we swore to protect you the moment you became our mate. We'll grow stronger for you, to protect you and your future cubs" Tora said as he walked besides Kenji.

"Hm, alright" I nodded with a small smile and with that the rest of the walk back to the castle was silent.

"What will happen to Cassie? Will she get kick out or is she gonna stay here?" I asked, looking at Kenji. "Unfortunately she's still gonna stay, it's not like there aren't females like her around here who cut off the bond of their mates" Kenji sighed as he gently ruffled my hair.

"But if you want, I can make sure she can't get close to you. That way she can't cause you any harm" Kenji said and I nodded. "I hope she won't be stupid enough to try and make trouble" I muttered as I leaned closer to Kenji's touch, since he was still gently ruffling my hair.

[ 3rd Person's POV ]

Cassie's mate stood there in complete silence inside their house, they knew better than to open their mouths when their mate is angry.

Every single one of them was shock at what their mate did but didn't say anything because they knew the moment they became her mate, they were already ready to face whatever happens.

"Ugh!! I hate her so much! Why does she get all the strong males! And when I want one she's just gonna show up and snatch them!" Cassie growled in anger as her tail swished angrily behind her.

"We can go to another city or village if you want. That way you can have more males to choose from. Since most males here don't want to be mates with you because of what that female said" Jason quietly said as he slowly took a step towards her.

He then opened his arms and waited for her to hug him, which she did and he slowly patted her head. 'I think I need to talk to the fox king and his female later' Jason thought with a sigh as he looked at the other males around him.

Out of all of them, he was one of the few males Cassie would listen to and even she did up hurting him he knew that it won't be easy for her to cut his mark off.

As much as he hated to admit it, the other female was right. He was still weak, and even the her wolf mate who was the same village as him gained a new star, and even then he still remained 3 stars while others gained new stars and grew stronger.

'I'll start training later, so she won't have to worry about having weak males' He thought to himself as he slowly let go of her. "I hate her" Cassie grumbled and Jason just hummed in response.

"Don't stress yourself too much because of her, it's gonna be fine" Jason cooed as he gently patted her head to try and calm her down.

'Maybe we should really just move to another village or city, for her own safety' Jason thought with a small sigh as he continued to comfort and calm his mate down.

[ Back to Sera's POV ]

"Little mate, what do you want to eat? Carlos manage to catch some rabbits and a fawn. Calvin and Tora manage to gather some mushrooms, red berries and glow berries" Kenji said and I tilted my head.

"Glow berries?" I asked, this was the first time I heard about it. It wasn't even mentioned in the novel, or maybe it was but I just forgot since I mean I'm not someone who can remember the hundreds if not thousands of different foods, herbs and fruits.

"Yes, their these berries that glow hence the name. Their yellow in color and about the same size as an orange. Although there are different colors of it like blue, red and purple and each taste differently depending on the color.

The yellow on is sweet, the blue is kinda sour, the red one is a bit spicy and the purple one is a mixture of spicy and sweet" Kenji explained and I nodded in understanding.

"So what color did they found?" I curiously asked, wanting to know what they looked like and see if they really tasted sweet like Kenji said.

"Yellow ones" Tora said with a small chuckle. "Really? Then let's go! I wanna try it!" I said with a small smile making my mates chuckle.

"Alright, alright little mate. Now stop squirming or you'll fall down" Kenji laughed as he shaked his head, adjusting his grip on me slightly to make sure nothing will happen.

From the corner of my eye, I can see Roscoe looking at us with a smile plastered on his face. 'Wah, I finally got him. Now I'll just keep looking for more males and even steal some of Cassie's original mates. Nothing wrong with that, finders keepers, losers weepers' I silently chuckled at that, knowing it was true. Cassie would probably cry if I stole all her strong mates before she can even meet them but it's her problem and not mine so I don't see anything wrong with it.

"Something tells me your planning something again" Calvin chuckled slightly from behind us and I look at him with a smile. "Oh trust me, I am" I laughed which cause them to raise a brow at me but didn't say anything else, small adorned their faces as they look at me.

"Whatever you say then little mate" Tora chuckled and with that we spent the whole day just talking, eating and sharing stories and turns out Roscoe, Tora, Carlos and Denver have many things in common.
