[ 3rd Person's POV ]

The peaceful morning in the fox castle was ruined when a certain blonde haired fox half beast came in charging with her mates.

"Sera!!! Get out of there and face me!" Cassie yelled, glaring at the fox guards who refused to let her in. Several of the guards were already in their beastform, ready to fight if needed.

And it wasn't just them, several other males were on the ready, just waiting for a break before they shifted and join.

"Gee, I thought I was gonna have a nice day yet seems like a certain banshee came to my home and began screeching" Sera said as she step out of the castle door, her mates followed right behind her, all looking ready to lunged at the female and her mates.

"You!! It was you wasn't it?!" Cassie yelled as she scowled at Sera. "Me? What did I do?" Sera asked, tilting her head to the side with a smile.

"Don't act like you don't know anything! Two of my mates, a wolf and a fox died while out hunting yesterday!!" Cassie practically growled, irritated that she easily lost four mates in a single week because of the damn female in front of her.

"Do you have evidence that I did it? It could have been another beastmen who attacked them. Maybe from the other two females you fought with yesterday" Sera said with a shrug, looking at her finger nails and began wondering if she should cut it since her nails were a bit longer now.

"I know it's you!! None of my mates who died shed any blood! They died from a bite. A snake bite" Cassie growled, her eyes shifting to Sera's snake mate who narrowed his eyes on her with a scowl.

"My well that's unfortunate but how can you say it's my mate? And not any other snake beastman? Or even a wild snake or maybe a rootless beast?" Sera asked, that smile still never leaving her lips as she removed her gaze from her nails and looked at Cassie with a raised brow.

"I mean, they could have potentially died from a bite of a wild snake with how weak they are. I mean, the head bitch herself if weak so that explains why her mates would also be weak" Sera snorted as she covered her mouth as a laughed escaped.

"Youu!!!" Cassie sneered and took a step forward, only to be pulled back by her mates as growls erupted from the surrounding males and Sera's own mate.

"Don't be stupid, your in my castle. And one word from Kenji you'll probably be leaving this palace without a single mate alive" Sera stared down at Cassie with a smirk and Cassie can only glare back at her, rage bubbling inside of her as she looked at the female she once called a friend.

"Why did you even have to kill my mates other male" Jason growled as he held Cassie close to him, as much as he hates being here and potentially endanger their female he wasn't gonna stay put at what the other female said.

"Because I just want to, so what if it was me? Your female should learn to pick a fight that she can't and can win" Sera scoffed as he stared at the wolf holding Cassie close while the said female was busy glaring at her.

"Just because of yesterday? Can't you just spare her from your ire? My female is suffering from this fight between you too" Jason almost growled at Sera but stop himself the last minute, not wanting to further anger the female's mates and the other males around who were staying in their position, ready to lunged at them the moment they heard orders from their king.

"Please, it's not my fault she's suffering. It's her own fault" Sera scoffed before she eyed him and smirked.

"Your a wolf right?" Sera snorted as she stared at them both. "No wonder your the perfect lapdog for Cassie. Always acting tough and might in front of her mate, when in reality you can't even stand to see her throwing the life of her own mates and wondering when will be your turn.

I mean, your still the same from when you first rescued us. Still the same male who had three stars, before and after we left the village. I mean, Tora and Kei earned another star and still growing. Kei will probably earn another star before or after the cold season ends while your still at three stars" Sera said as she gestured to her males.

"Pathetic" Sera snorted before turning around. "Make them leave, I have more important things to do rather than waste my breath on them" Sera waved them off and began walking back inside the castle. But as she reached the door, she stop and slightly turned her head to look at Cassie and her mates again.

"Leave peaceful unless you want your little lapdog to be the only one left standing besides you" she said with narrowed eyes.

"Don't test my tolerance for your stupidity Cassie" she then walked away, not turning back again as her mates looked at them before following after her, until it was only her fox mate left.

"Chase them out if they won't leave" He ordered the other foxes and males who will gladly do it, since some of the males were from females who Cassie picked on a fight almost every single day.

Once inside, Sera let out an annoyed groan. "Just when I wanted to have a peaceful morning" she grumbled with a huff, walking down the long hallway of the fox castle.

"Aw, don't stress yourself too much because of that female little mate" Tora cooed as he walked besides her. "Hmph, I know that but I just can't help it" Sera huffed in response, before feeling her mates hand on her head.

"Don't mind her, and remember you still have something to do tonight. I wonder who will it be" Tora chuckled and eyed his mate who blinked in confusion for a few moments before her face went red.

How can she forget? This was the day where her period, or in other words heat, ended. "Shut up" Sera mumbled, trying to hide her red face from her mate who only laughed as he tail flickered behind him in amusement.

[ Back to Sera's POV ]

"Who do you think will have a chance later?" Tora asked after laughing for quite a bit. I glanced back at my other mates who only grinned at me and I huffed, turning back my attention in front of me.

"Could be either of you, I don't know but I really don't care who it is" I shrugged as I stared at him. "Although I wonder what's it like giving birth to eggs" I mumbled but of course they still heard it.

"You wanna know?" Lucas, Xavier and Rio all said together and stay stared at it each other while I laughed. "We'll see about it" I waved them off as they continued to stare at each other but really didn't do anything other than staring.

"I'm not even gonna try to compete for cubs. Watching over those three are already enough, but I would like to have some in the future if you'd allow me" Carlos said, breaking the silence between the three birds.

"Hm, alright" I nodded and Carlos smile, feeling satisfied that even if he can't have cubs now I was willing to give him in the future.

"Sera~ how about us? You won't forget about us right?" Rio said, appearing right besides me on my left side. "Don't worry I won't" I chuckled which a smile from him.

"Now quit whining and go hunt. Don't try to distract me, I know it's your turn to hunt today along with Denver and Kali" I said making him pout, but nevertheless walked back to Denver and Kali.

"We'll go now. I'll be sure to bring some fruits and mushrooms that you ask for while the other hunt for some meat. Maybe we'll be able to bring short birds too" Denver said and I nodded at him and watch as he, Rio and Kali shifted into their beastform and left.

"I wo der if Denver's wool is soft, I wanna touch it" I mumbled out of the blue, making my mates look at me with a raise brow. "You can just ask him, his your mate after all. In fact I'm sure he'll be happy that you would be willing to touch his wool" Kenji said with a shrug.

"Hm, yeah your right" I nodded before I look at him. "You know, I haven't touch your beastform! Neither have I seen Marlo shift into his full form" I said which earned chuckles from the two.

"Wanna see it then?" Marlo asked and I eagerly nod, feeling happy I would get to see his full beast from. In the novel, Cassie described his form to be intimidating and scary with how big it was and due to the literal fact that he could easily kill dozens of beastmen with just a few strike of his tail, not to mention his big pincer which could easily crush the bones of a beastman.

They headed towards the garden in the back side of the castle and after reaching there. Marlo didn't waste time and shifted into a full grown giant scorpion.

And just as Cassie said, it was scary and intimidating but to me it looks beautiful. "Woah, pretty" I mumbled, walking closer to him and went besides him, tracing my fingers along the hard shell of his body.

"You look amazing Marlo" I smiled when his head turn to me and his tail gently nudged me, careful not to let the stinger of his tail get to close to my body.

I then turned to Kenji who also shifted into his fox form and boy was it cool. His white fox form look so cuddly and fluffy.

I reached out to pet him and was satisfied that he was indeed fluffy and cuddly. "Now I'm even more curious on how the others would feel" I said and turned to my other mates, who just shaked their heads with a smile and shifted into their beast form, letting me pet them till my hearts content.
