"Well, we have all the things we need right?" I asked my mates as I looked back at the now empty den.

"Yes we do, don't worry little mate" Tora said as he ruffled my hair a bit, making me huff as I muttered something under my breath.

Tora just chuckled as he helped the others make sure that they got everything ready. It had been two days now since we arrived back at the village, and we were now packing up to leave.

One of Rio's older brother agreed to be the village chief, seeing that his almost at his breakthrough to get this fourth star.

"So your really leaving?" Bailey asked when she arrived at our den, seeing all the furs tied up. "Yes we are, but let's still be friends? You know where to find me whenever you find yourself in trouble" I gave her a sad smile and opened my arms for a hug.

She quickly went to me and hugged me. "Stay safe and don't forget to visit here from time to time alright?" She let out a small chuckle and so did I.

"Don't worry, I'll try to visit here when I can" I said as we both pulled away from the hug. "Stay safe here too alright?" I said and she nodded in response before returning to her mates.

"Bye, and don't forget to visit" she said as Tora lifted me up and put me on Kali's back. He then shifted to this beastform like the rest and we finally left the village.

"Will the cubs be okay?" I mumbled as I looked up to see Rio in his beastform holding a basket with the cubs on it. Surprisingly they were well behave while inside the basket.

Archie couldn't carry them as he and Calvin were guarding the back just in case any rootless beast or other desperate single males tried to attack up.

While on the way back to the city, I began planning things. 'Okay so I've secured myself a nice status and some good males. But I still shouldn't let my guard down, especially when Cassie is also in the city' I thought with a sigh.

'Well first of all, I should try making friends with other females in the city. That way I can at least monitor what the heck is Cassie doing when I'm not around, and maybe I should try to be friends with the other Queens' I added.

As I was busy thinking things, I didn't notice that my males stopped near the river to take a short break. "Sera, are you hungry?" Carlos asked and as if in cue, my stomach growled which made him chuckle.

I got down from Kali and went to Rio and my cubs. "You did well, your so well behave. Mommy is proud of you cubs, good job" I praised my cubs as I bent down and patted their head.

Feeling delighted by my praise, they all let out small purrs  before running off to bother Xavier and Carlos who were busy preparing a meal for me.

"Archie! Get you damn cubs off of my tail!" Carlos hissed at Archie who just chuckled and watched as his cubs race, jump and climb all over Carlos tail.

Although he acted like he was angry, he didn't do anything to the cubs and let them be while continuing to prepare my meal.

"Pffft, all of you are good fathers" I mumbled and Kali rubbed himself against my waist as he heard me.

"Maybe I should try getting stronger to have the right to mate with you after you have your heat" Kei muttered from behind me which made me chuckle.

"Sera, your food is ready" Xavier called out making me hum as I walk towards them. Laughing as I watch Carlos grumble under his breath as the cubs kept playing on top of his tail.

"Archie! Get your cubs off of me" Carlos turned to the panther male who only laughed at him and encouraged his cubs more.

"He's gonna get himself a good smack from Carlos later" Calvin muttered, already seeing what would happen to his brother later.

"Yeah, but let him worry about that later. He seems to be enjoying this" I laughed and continued to munch on my food.

But just as I was peacefully enjoying my good, Carlos suddenly came to me. He put the cubs near me before wrapping his tail protectively around us as he shifted into his full beast form.

I didn't question any of them, seeing them all alert and letting out low growls. My cubs had their ears pinned down and were also growling.

Soon enough, a group of beastman suddenly appeared from the bushes. They all stared at me which caused my mates to growl more loudly.

"Stop staring at our mate" Calvin growled as he stood in front of me, blocking the groups view. Carlos also let out a violent hiss in warning, clearly not happy with the fact that this random males were staring and ogling their eyes at me.

Lucas, Rio and Xavier went near us while the others shifted into their beast form, ready to fight back in case any of the males decided to move.

Xavier reached out for my cubs and I handed them one by one to him and he put them in the basket earlier. He then looked at Rio who quickly shifted into his beast form.

"Get on, Lucas will be with you to protect you" Xavier said as he helped me quickly get on Rio, who then picked up the basket and flew up.

Lucas, who had also shifted into his beast form, closely followed behind us. As we were up in the air, I can still hear the roars, hiss and fighting below us.

The males who came probably tried to follow me, causing my mates to attack. "Don't worry about them. I'm sure none of them will let Kei and Kali die. All of them are strong males, don't worry to much okay little mate?" Rio said, trying his best to reassure me as he slowly glided along the sky. Occasionally flapping his wings.

"I know they won't but I can't stop myself" I muttered in a low voice as I buried my head in his feathers.

"It's alright little mate" Rio said as they continued to fly back to the city since we weren't that far when we took the break.

When we got near the city gate, they began to slowly descend. Rio carefully placed the basket on the floor and I got down from him and went to check on my cubs.

"Sera? Are you okay? You didn't get hurt right?" Rio and Lucas came to me after covering themselves. "Yes, I'm fine" I mumbled as I stared at my cubs.

"Let's go to the castle for now, to get some rest" Rio said as he picked up the basket and gently lead me through the city.

I didn't even notice that we finally arrived at the fox King's castle until I heard Kenji, Denver, Florence and Marlo approaching us.

"Sera?! Why are you crying? Did something happen? Where are the others?" They all asked at the same time when I turned to face them.

"Huh?" I didn't noticed I was crying until I felt my cheeks and felt a liquid flowing from my eyes.

I rubbed my eyes trying to get rid of the tears as best as I can as Rio explained what happened.

"Don't worry Sera, Calvin had been the best head guard in the city for ten years. Facing off strong rootless beast and other desperate males that tried to attack the city every now and then.

Plus Archie is also with him, put those together and they can take on more than 20 beastman by themselves. As long as they're combat power is lower than them they don't stand against those two, I've seen them fight and even fought them once before and let me tell you that they could have easily defeated me if they were a bit stronger" Kenji said, trying to reassure me.

"Mhm alright" I sniffled a little as I nodded my head. My cubs then jumped out of the basket that Rio was still holding and immediately went to sniff the four strangers.

"Cubs, don't be rude. Come here" I called out, making the three cubs look at me, then back at the four of them before rushing to me.

"Meet your soon to be new fathers" I said and began introducing my new suitors to my cub. "That's Kenji, his a fox beastman and also one of the kings here.

Next is Florence, his a wolf beastman just Kei. And then we have Denver, his a sheep beastman and his also a healer. Which means he helps sick or injured beastman.

And finally we have Marlo, his a scorpion beastman" I said and pointed at each male as I state their names, my cubs only nod in response as they stared at my suitors.

I then turned to the four males with a small smile. "This are my cubs, Uno, Dos and Tres" I said and pointed at each cub, which was easy enough as they were already sitting in order.

"I see, who's the father? Calvin or Archie?" Kenji asked as he stared at my cubs, who only stared back at him for a couple of seconds before deciding to run off and bother Rio.

"Ouch" I heard Rio say as I saw Tres jump at his leg and bite at it. "Sera! Help me!~" Rio whined out as Uno and Dos also join their brother and jumped at Rio.

Lucas who was right besides him only chucked as he stared at the male who was being attack by the three cubs.

I just chuckled at Rio before turning my attention back to Kenji to answer his question. "It's Archie's" I said and he nodded again and smiled as he looked at my cubs who were now busy bothering Lucas instead to Rio.

As I know that my cubs were okay and busy, I looked outside, waiting for my mates to come back quickly. I knew none of them were seriously injured or dead since there wasn't a reaction on any of the marks, nor did I feel one of them fade.

'I'm glad they're safe' I thought with a small sigh of relief and returned my attention back to my cubs who now running away from Rio as he chased after them with a laugh and a big grin on his face.

My family was happy, and strong. And it will only grow stronger the more stars my mates can gain, or if I will ever add more mates to my already large harem.

But who cares? In this world having less or no mates at all means an instant death. With all the rootless beast, desperate beastman and other wild beast that resides in this world, female really do need strong and capable mates.

And I wasn't gonna let any of those be the reason I die. I'll make sure that I'll live long and happy life with my mates. Ensuring that some of my cubs find and build their own family someday. Only then I'll rest in peace, knowing they have settled down before I leave.
