( Sera's POV  )

It was now almost night time, which meant that the bonfire was almost starting. It was held here in the fox King's castle.

Countless females along with their males scurried around, trying to find some vacant seats while the single males were placed in one corner together.

I was now currently sitting between Archie and Rio while Tora, Kei, Kali, Lucas and Carlos were on the left side besides Archie while the rest were on the right side.

"Oh, I need to use the sandpit real quick" I said and stood up. "I'll go with you, there are many males here and we don't want anything to happen to you" Marlo said and stood up before anyone can.

"Mhm, alright" I nodded and sent a small smile to my mates as me and Marlo went to the sandpit.

Once we arrived there, Marlo turned around and stood on guard as I quickly did my business.

Once I was done, I tapped him on the shoulder and told him that he can look now since I was done.

"Ready to go back?" He asked with a small smile and I nodded. But just as we were about to leave, I frowned when someone got in our way.

That someone had to unfortunately be Cassie. "Cassie Hi" I forced a smile as I looked at her.

Marlo might have noticed my change of demeanor in me as his tail slowly wrapped around my waist and pull me back.

"Sera, can we talk" she said and before I can answer Marlo did.

"You can talk to her with me around, I don't trust you to be alone with her" Marlo spat as he eyed her mates who all growled at him, clearly upset with the disrespect towards their mate.

"Shut up" Marlo warned, and he probably released some of his beast pressure since almost all of Cassie's mate had their ears pinned down on their heads.

"No, so just stay away from me" I said and pulled Marlo to another direction, only to he stopped by one of her mates.

"Step aside before I rip you into shreds" Marlo threatened as he glared at the male in front. "I just want to talk!" Cassie said with an annoyed tone, her tail swished behind her in annoyance.

"And I told you I don't wanna talk to you!" I said as Marlo raised his tail, ready to stab the male in front of us and let him die from poison.

"What is going on here? I was wondering why she was taking so long" Kenji said and appeared behind the male blocking our way.

"Move" Kenji growled making the male flinched as he moved aside. "Are you okay? Are you hurt somewhere?" Kenji asked and I just shaked my head as I saw Marlo relax his tail and then slowly and carefully wrapped it around my waist.

"Let's go back" I said making the two males nod. Before we left though, they made sure to  give a warning glare to Cassie and her mates, their eyes saying that if this happens again they will surely rip them apart.

"Who was that anyways? Does she always bother you? If so just tell me and I'll quickly get rid of her" Marlo asked after were some distance away from Cassie and her mates.

"That was Cassie, someone I know" I muttered. "She used to he my friend but she changed when we got here" I added making him nod.

"She's also the female who tried to kill her cubs" Kenji added making Marlo look at him. "You can just say the word and they'll be gone in no time" Marlo mumbled and I just shaked my head.

"It's alright" I smiled at him, to which he just nodded and took his tail that was still wrapped on my waist.

Once we got back to the others, they were already cooking some meat. I can tell just from the smell that they used herbs as many heads turned in their direction.

"Your back, did something happen?" Tora asked as he placed a few cooked meat in a leaf and began cutting it into smaller pieces for me to eat.

"I just met Cassie but don't worry, she didn't do any as Marlo was there and Kenji also appeared" I answered as he then gave it to me and I began eating, munching on the small pieces of meat.

"She won't just leave you alone" Archie growled and so did the rest of my mates. "It's fine, she didn't do anything this time" I mumbled making them shake their heads.

"She didn't do anything now but we don't know if she'll do anything next time" Rio said making the others agree.

"I don't know who that female really is but judging from how your mates react its wise if you don't go alone with her. None of us knows what she'll do the moment the two of you are alone" Denver muttered as he happily munched on a mango.

"His right, and it's better if you have two mates go to with you every time you go out" Calvin said making the others nod in agreement.

"Alright, alright. I'll have at least two or three of you guys with me when I go out" I said which made them smile as they too begin to eat.

We then just happily chatted for the rest of the night. With me asking random things to my suitors to get to know them better and me just casually bantering and brickring with my mates, showing them how my family dynamic really works.

To say the least that my new suitors were a bit shock on how I interact with my mates was an understatement.

"Alright, we'll be leaving now. I'll pack most of my things too and get my cubs, it might take a few days though as the journey back there and then back here can be long and Rio also needs to assign a new Village chief" I said making Kenji and the others nod.

"Alright, be careful okay?" Kenji said making me hum as I tiptoed to place a kiss on his cheeks, I also did the same to the other three which left them stunned at the openly showing of affection.

"See you in a few days!" I waved at them as Kali helped me rode on Kei's back. Once I was comfortably seated on his back, we began to move.

"Ah, I can't wait to see my cubs" I said with a smile as I imagine them running towards me the moment they see them. It's cute to watch them run towards me, stumbling in process maybe as they did that. I can already imagine them doing that.

On our way back to the village, I just enjoyed the scene around me, watching as colorful and unfamiliar looking birds flew by. Along with different small insects that I made sure to swat away, in case their dangerous or something.

"Sera, look!" Rio said making me look at where he was pointing. A majestic brown Deer was just a few meters away from us, leisurely eating on the grass behind a bush.

It really didn't seem to mind us as it continued on eating. "Woah, pretty" I mumbled as we continued on, leaving the deer alone.

"Do you want me to get it for you?" Carlos asked making me shake my head with a chuckle. "No it's fine, leave that deer be" I said and he just nodded and with that, we all stayed silent. Not in an uncomfortable way but a very comfortable silence settled between us all.

"My cubs!" I squealed as soon as I saw my three cubs rushing towards me. It has been a day now and we finally arrived back at the village and I was at the village center when I saw them running.

"Awe, I miss you" I said and placed kisses all over their faces. "Did you behave well while I was gone? I hope you didn't cause any trouble in the village while I was gone" I said and placed them back on the ground.

"And the three of you are too heavy now to be carried at the same time" I muttered under my breath as they all let our small roars and mewls that I couldn't quite understand but they seemed happy so I just nodded and smiled.

If it was something bad or important Calvin or Archie would have told me by now but judging from their faces, it was probably a good thing.

"Come on now, let's go home and have some rest" I turned to my mates who in return nodded in response

"You guys go back, I need to talk to my father about who will be next in charge of the village when we leave" Rio said making me hum in response.

"Alright, we'll be waiting" I gave him a small peck on the lips and left with the others, leaving Rio standing there in a daze for a few moments.
