A week has pass since the start of cold season and me and my mates were outside the house, watching the cubs play around the snow.

"Pfftt" I tried to stiffle a laugh as Dos tried to pounce on Uno but failed and landed face first on the snow.

His head popped out and a laugh escaped my lips as his head was covered in snow. Hearing me laugh, Dos shaked his head and looked at my direction before whining.

I grinned and turned to Archie to ask him what Dos was saying. "His whining about you laughing at him" Archie said which made me laugh more.

Just then, an idea came to mind and I grinned widely and looked at my mates who looked at me suspiciously.

With a chuckle I stepped down the porch and gather some snow and made it to a ball. "Sera? What are you doing?" Carlos hesitantly asked as he saw me turn to him.

I didn't say a word and just throwed the snowball at him. Caught off guard, he wasn't able to catch it and it him straight in the face.

"Pffft haha" I burst out laughing as Carlos sent me a small glare. I can also see my other mates were trying to stiffle their own laughter.

I bent down again and made another one and throwed it at Kei who luckily avoided it, but unfortunately Kali ended up being hit instead.

Kei snickered as Kali sent him a glare and dashed behind me to scoop up some snow and throw it at the other males.

And so, with that a little snowball fight erupted. Laughs and squeals can be heard in front of our house as my mates fired snowballs at each other, while being careful not to hit me much.

But unlike them, I really didn't care who I hit and made a tone of snowballs and throwed at who ever my unfortunate victim will be, and in this includes the cubs.

Tres tried to sneak away but end up being hit by his own father. Tres let out a small roar and tried to charge at Archie but stop when he got hit again.

'Poor cub' I silently laugh but stopped when a snowball hit me in the face. When I looked at the direction of my mates, all of them pointed at Tora who gave me a nervous smile.

"Tora... How dare youu" I huffed and grabbed a snowball and hurled it straight at his face. He didn't dodge it and got hit.

"Hmmp" I huffed which made my other males chuckle. While I wasn't paying attention, Carlos chuckles and throwed a Snowball at me.

"Hey!" I turned to him, only to be hit in the face again. "Stop!" I whined and squealed as I bent down and grab a Snowball and tried to throw it at him.

He dodge it and tried to throw another one at me, which I quickly dodge and I went to Lucas for protection.

"Hey! No fair! Get back here" Carlos said and I peaked out of Lucas back and stick my tongue at him.

Without saying another word, Carlos tried to hit me again but Lucas was there to block it. "Take this!" I shot him a Snowball but ended up hitting Kei instead.

'My poor puppy' I thought with a chuckle as I continue to try and hit Carlos while hiding behind Lucas.

"Achoo" I sneezed out making my mates sigh. "Maybe you should stay and play in the snow for to long. Your body can't handle being out in the cold for to long, not to mention you've been playing in the snow" Tora sighed as he handed me a cup of warm water.

"I'll go make some soup for you. I know how to do it since I attentively watch you cook the fish soup last time. I'll go hunt some fish" he said making me shake my head.

"We can just use the smoked meat, or some of the short birds. They still haven't stop laying eggs but sooner or later they will" I said as I let out another sneeze.

Tora only nodded as he left and went to make some soup. "I'll be taking Kali and Kei out tomorrow" Carlos said after a few seconds of silence.

"Hm? What for? Isn't prey hard to look now that it's been a week since the cold season started?" I asked as I turned to him.

"Yes, but strong beast also tend to appear during the cold season. I'll train them" Carlos said making me look at Kei and Kali.

"Wouldn't it be dangerous? I get it that you need to raise your strength but are you sure none of you are gonna die?" I worriedly asked.

"I'll be with them, I'll make sure they won't die" Carlos said making me sigh and nod. "Alright, just don't fight if the beast you encounter is to strong okay? I don't want any of you to die" I said and Carlos nodded again.

"Any more of you guys who want to say something?" I asked and looked at my other mates.

"All of us are planning on taking turns hunting beast, along with the weakest in the family" Archie said as he grabbed Dos by his neck when he tried to pounce at me.

"And I also want to take the cubs of you will allow it. Maybe I can teach them to hunt some rabbits or small mouses around here" Archie said making me shake my head rapidly.

"No, absolutely no. The cubs won't be going out with any of you until drizzle season arrives. That way you can guard them more, just not now" I said and looked at my cute cubs.

"It's not like I don't trust any of you but, I don't think I'll be ready to lose any of my cubs" I said and grabbed Tres who made his way to me.

'Mommy's boy I see' I thought and patted Tres in the head as he let out a content roar, just to tease his brothers.

"Alright, I'll listen to you. I'll start taking them out to hunt once drizzle season has arrived" Archie said making me smile.

We then talk about more thing they planned to do during the rest of the cold season and I just agreed with them. I mean why would I stop them if they want to grow stronger? As long as they don't overdo it and they know when to rest then it's fine.

And after a few minutes more, Tora finally arrived back with a bowl of soup, some scrambled short bird eggs and sliced mangoes and sha fruits.

"Go grab your own food" he said to the other males who scrambled forward to get their own food.

Tora handed me a spoon and the soup and I took a taste while he nervously waited. "So? How does it taste?" He asked making me smile.

"It taste good, but maybe add a little more salt?" I said making him nod with a smile. Out of all of them, Tora, Kei and Rio were my only males who liked to cook, sure the others also know how to cook but just some roast meat and that's all.

The others then got back, holding their own bowl of soup. They then began eating, and talking to each other on what to do next.

"When are you gonna accept Xavier?" Archie suddenly asked after a few minutes, making all their attention to me.

"Hmm, maybe after a week or so. I need to know if he can really fit well in the family" I said which made them nod.

"But the sooner you have him, the safer you will be. He is a six star beastman and a prince. In addition to that, out of all the cubs the peacock queen had, he is her favorite" Archie said which made me nod.

"Your right" I mumbled as I thought about it. "What do you think? Do you think he can fit in well?" I asked and looked at them.

"Well... He is strong. We can rest assured more with training if you have at least him here, a strong beastman" Kali said and the others agreed.

"Not only that, with him as your mate his mother will surely take a liking to you. You will have some good additional security for yourself" Kei said which made me nod again.

"Hmm, your all right. It is best if I have some additional security. Not only for me but for my future cubs as well" I said and they all nodded.

"Well, alright. I will accept him a few days. You all seem to like him, and he is strong. It'll be good to have another flyer on the family" I said which made them nod again.

"Well, now if that's all. I'll go have some rest alright? Just put the cubs besides me later when they're finally asleep" I said and looked at the cubs who were running around, still full of energy despite playing in the snow earlier.

"I wonder how much their energy will be when they grow up a bit" I laughed to myself as I went upstairs to the main bedroom and went to sleep.
