"Now, you guys rest first alright? I'll make some food" I said as I ushered my mates to sit down.

Tora was about to say something but I shake my head. "No no it's fine, I'll be the one cooking today, you guys need rest" I said and didn't wait for any of them to say another word and went to the kitchen.

I rummage around the kitchen trying to find what to cook. 'Maybe I should make some soup?' I thought as I looked at the different vegetables in the small cabinet.

'Hmm what meat should I use?' Just as I was thinking about this, Tora called me saying that Xavier was outside.

I went out of the kitchen and went to greet him in the door. "Xavier. It's good to see that you weren't injured or anything" I said as I took a quick glance at his body to see if he had any injuries on him. 'Must be because his a six star, Carlos didn't have any wound on him either' I thought before finally noticing the big fish he was holding.

"For you. When I got back I went to the river to take a bath and wash the blood off me when I caught this" he said as he handed Tora the fish.

It looked like a giant tuna, but with much more brighter blue scales and the end was a dark yellow in color.

'Bingo! I can make some fish soup with this! And I can even have some roasted one since I can't fry some yet as they still haven't found any oil' I thought before looking at Xavier again.

"Would you like to have lunch with us?" I asked making him eyes go wide for a sec before he nodded with a silly grin.

"Great! Kei! Kali! Can you bring the pots from the kitchen outside? We're gonna have lunch here so Xavier can join us. Lucas start the fire please" I turned back and called out to my males.

The three who I called hurriedly went to do what I ordered and The other three just calmly walked outside.

"What are you gonna make with that?" Xavier asked curiously as he watched the other males set up some furs for me to sit on.

"Tora, can you cut it into cube slices?" I asked  and he nodded and immediately went to work.

Rio went back inside and took all the things I need for cooking such as the vegetables and salt.

Once the things were done, I ordered Carlos to fetch me some water and I began cutting the vegetables with a bone knife I asked Archie to carve about two weeks ago.

Xavier and the others tried to convince me that I should just sit back and relax and let them do the work but I shooked my head.

"I can handle some simple cooking. I don't want to be like the females who can only depend on their males to do everything for them.

And all of need some rest, you just fought and your still injured. Now sit down and rest or else no lunch for all of you" I huffed making them pout as they obediently sat down.

'Hehe, being a female really is nice' I thought as I began cooking the soup. And while I was waiting for it, I began to roast some meat over the fire.

And about 20 minutes later, the soup and roasted fish meat were ready. The yummy and delicious aroma hit my nose as I began grabbing some bowls and beginning to fill them with soup and handing them to my mates.

And lastly, I served Xavier some before getting some for myself. "Well go on, try it" I said as I noticed they still hasn't touch their food.

"But you should eat first" Xavier said making me shake my head. "I'm not going to eat until you taste that soup and tell me what it taste like" I huffed and glared at them.

And without a care if it was still hot or not the gulped it down in one go which made me stunned for a second.

Their eyes sparkled in delight as they grinned at me. "It taste good! I want more!" Kei was the first to asked as he showed me his empty bowl.

I chuckled and pointed at the pot. Once he had the go signal he went to grab some more, seeing this the others also went in for a second which made me chuckle.

'Well I'm glad they like it' I thought and was about to begin eating when I felt tiny paws on my lap.

I look down to see my cubs looking at the bowl in my hand in curious. I turned to Archie as he sat down after getting a second bowl of the soup.

"Archie, can they begin eating now?" I asked making him shake his head. "Not yet until they begin teething" he answered and growled at the cubs making them whine as they went back to his side and began sulking.

"Pfft" I couldn't help but chuckle at their faces and began eating. All of us enjoyed our peaceful meal.

Once lunch was over, Xavier left saying that he still needed to gather a bit more food for the winter. Not that he needed much of it anyway, but he still stock up on more just in case.

I  decided to check on the chicken coop while the others cleaned up. "Ohh, fresh eggs" I mumbled as I saw a couple of eggs laying around the coop.

"I wonder if you will still lay eggs when winter starts. It'll be nice to have fresh eggs everyday" I muttered before leaving.

'It sounds nice to have some milk, but I'll set that aside for now. Maybe when drizzle season begins I can ask Lucas or Carlos to hunt me a mother goat or cow' I thought as I stopped and watch as my cubs run over to me.

"Hi cubs, you hungry?" I bent down a bit to them, and they all let out cute roars. 'Hah, my babies are really cute. I wonder how cute peacock chicks will be or wolf cubs, or tiger' I thought before also thinking what baby snakes would look like.

The sounds of my cubs roaring and using their cute paws to tap on my legs snapped me back.

"Alright, alright. Let's go" I chuckled and walked back inside the den. I then went inside the main room with the cubs following behind and pulled my top down and began feeding Uno and Dos first.

Tres patiently waited for his turn and just wondered around the room, curious looking around and trying to chew the end of the fur bed.

"Tres no, that's not food so don't eat it" I chuckled slightly as tres look at me before looking back at the fur and still continued to chew on it anyways.

I shaked my head at him and continued feeding his brothers before Dos finally decided he was full.

"Tres, come here. It's your turn" I called out as I set Dos down, and just as Tres reached me Uno also decided he was full and also decided to go with his brother and decided to roam around the room.

And once Tres felt he was full, I put him down and pulled my tops back up as I watch roam around with his brothers.

'Hmm, maybe I should ask archie or the others to make then some wooden toys they can chew and bite on when they begin teething' I thought as Archie walked inside the room.

"I'm sure you want to take a nap,  I'll watch over them" he said making me smile and nod.

A tiny yawn escaped my lips as layed down on the bed and soon enough fell asleep.

A few days had pass and cold season had officially started. Most males were still busy hunting and trying to smoke more meat as there are still plenty of prey to hunt.

Similar to those males, Tora, Kei and Kali took turns in hunting. They'll mostly bring rabbits, deer's or even sometimes a wild boar back.

They would skin then and dry them up to use as extra blanket, clothes or any uses for later.

As the first few snow began to drop, I smiled gently as I watched my cubs run around the front yard.

'They sure are growing fast' I thought and sigh. 'I hope the next time I'll have babies will be just males. I don't think I have a strong enough family yet to protect a female cub.

I'm sure if I had a female, all my males would be on edge everytime' I thought before I was snapped back to reality when Bailey came.

"Sera!! I have good news!" She grinned and run towards me, which made her males worry as they stayed by her side, ready to catch her if she was going to trip and fall.

"Bailey" I smiled and greeted her with a hug which she happily returned. "And what's the good news?" I asked as we pulled away from the hug.

"I'm pregnant" she held her chin high making me chuckle. "Congratulations, are they males or is it a female?" I asked making her shrug a bit.

"They're still young. But we'll know after a week later" she said making me hum in response.

"Well, that's good to hear. But you should go back now, being out in the cold for too long might harm you" I said which only worried her males more.

"Bailey, let's go back? I'll cook you your favorite meals and send the others to go look for some of your favorite fruit" Gray said in the sweetest way possible, not wanting to earn the ire of his precious mate.

"Hmp, fine" Bailey huff before smiling and waving goodbye to me. Before she can say anything, Gray carried her in his arms and began  walking back to their den.
