"So, how many females are here in total again? If you include me and the new  ones" I asked Rio as we arrived at the bonfire later that night.

"There well be 22 females in total here. Including you, and only two are whole females while the rest are half beast" Rio answered as we sat at an empty seat.

I looked around till I saw Fara who was already looking at me. I smiled and waved at her, which made her shyly wave back.

Her mates looked at me with a mixture or relief and surprise. 'Guess that's understandable, considering how that female earlier acted' I sighed and just continued looking around.

"I sure hope I can enjoy this bonfire tonight" I muttered before looking at Tora. But it seems like I spoke to soon as two angry females went over to me.

The whole place went quiet and watched us. 'Well damn' I groaned as Rio pulled gently and stood in front of me, somewhat growling at the males and the two females.

'Okay, I know I shouldn't laugh at a serious situation like this but it's just weird to hear a beastman, especially a bird beastman to growl' I thought and almost let a giggle out.

"You! How dare you kill one my cubs mate!!" An older looking female screeched at me, and her mates began growling.

In return my own males growled making me sigh. 'Fine, let's just get over this' I huffed and step out of Rio's back a bit.

"Listen here lady, your stupid cub was the first one to challenge my mate and almost got him killed if I didn't interfere so don't come yelling at me how it was my fault that her mate died.

It was her fault for being stupid enough to challenge me, or my mates. She might have 15 mates and I only have five but, they're much powerful that hers, while weakest is a one star, mine is a three star. So I think you should asses the situation carefully before trying to fight me" I glared at the two of them and watched Tora and Archie shift.

They bared their teeths and roared at the other males, probably releasing their beast pressure too as some of the weaker males had their ears down and avoided looking at them in the eyes.

"Think twice about it, my village was kind enough to let you stay but I will not hesitate to kick you out if your end up endangering my female" Rio said before looking around, finally spotting the village chief.

"Tell your villagemen to behave, they've annoyed my mate to much" Rio sent him a glare, which in return made him sigh as he looked at his two village females.

"Sarah, Belle enough please. I don't want you two to be the reason on why my female has to sleep in the cold grounds tonight if you get us kick, and I don't think any of the others would like that to happen to their females too" he said which made the other males start growling in agreement.

"I.... Why are you even in her side?! I am your sister!!" The older woman looked at the village chief with hurt and anger.

"You may be my sister but that doesn't mean I will choose you over the security of my own mate" He growled at her.

"This is not over!" She screeched as she pointed at me and stomped away. Her mates all growled and glared at me and soon followed worriedly after their mate.

"I will have my revenge! Just you wait!" Belle glared at me and walked away. I huffed in response and sat back down.

"I'm sorry for the trouble, you may now enjoy the bonfire. Let the males start competing!" Rio said making the singles males roar in excitement. After all, they wouldn't miss a change to try and impress a female who might want to take them as a mate.

Soon, several singles males started fighting in their beast form. Lucas handed me some fruits while I watched the fight.

Although I wasn't really interested in taking mates right now, I was just looking for some potential mates or suitors in a few days, or weeks after I mated with Rio and spend time with him.

As I was watching the crowd of males, one particular lion beast man caught my attention. He has a much darker mane than the others and I can tell he was a good fighter.

'Ohh, I wonder how many stars he has. Plus he has a unique appearance' I thought and continued to observe the male.

"You like him?" Tora asked, snapping me out of my trance from watching the male fight. "Hm, not really. Just took an interest in him, I also notice he has a much darker mane than the other lions" I answered and briefly look at him before returning my attention to the lion.

'Hm, I'm quite curious if I can find Sera's other previous males. I kinda liked them back in the novel' I thought as the lion finally stopped fighting.

'I wonder if he has a female he fancies' I thought and suddenly blinked in surprise when someone cleared their throat.

I was so immersed in my thoughts that I didn't notice a few beast men standing just a couple of meters from our little campfire, all carrying leaves filled with various meat or fruits.

"Female! I am Tony a three star lion. I would like to be your male" the first one said as he took a confident step forward.

"Choose me female, I can protect and provide for you well. As you can see, the ones at the back are much weaker and inferior to me. They only have one or no stars at all" he snorted at the other males making me roll my eyes.

'Nope, totally a big no. Too arrogant' I just ignored him before looking at the other males. Sure enough, what Tony said was true. They only had one or no star at all, which made me sigh a bit knowing I would accept them.

"Um, female I would also like to court you and be your male" a soft and somewhat nervous voice said from the back.

My attention turned to him and I was quite shock to see the dark maned lion. He took a few steps forward, allowing me to check him.

Just like his beast form, he had a much darker colored hair. Like a deep red color, with a hint of brown and black mixed together.

He also had dark brown eyes, perfect face just like most beast man here and he was a two star.

I nodded to myself before looking at my mates, and Rio. "Whoever you choose is alright with us because we already know who he is" Archie said making me grin.

"Is it me female? Ha, see such weak and inferior beastmen don't have a chance in courting such a beautiful female like her" Tony said, totally thinking I was gonna choose him.

"What's your name?" I asked as I returned my attention to the dark maned lion. He blinked at me in shock before quickly composing himself.

"I am Kali" He introduced himself as he offered me a jar. "I saw some honey earlier and thought that females might like them" he explained, seeing my somewhat confused expression about the jar.

My eyes lit up at the mention of honey. 'Finally! Something sweet!' I grinned and opened my mouth to say something but Tony beat me into it.

"Honey?" He snorted as he looked at the jar at Kali's hand. "How can you even know that the female your trying to court likes honey?" He rolled his eyes making me pinch the bridge of my nose.

Letting out a big sigh, I turned to him. "I find it rude that you dare interup me when I'm speaking" I huffed and saw him flich.

Of course, no male in their right mind would dare interup a female, especially when she's talking, taking a bath or sleeping. Unless they wanted to earn her ire.

"Thank you, I actually love honey" I turned my attention back to Kali, watching as how his tail flicked in happiness.

"And I would gladly accept your gift" I smiled as his eyes grew wide. "Does this mean your allowing me to court you?" He asked, a bit excited and hesitant.

"Yes" was all I said making him break into a grin. "Wait, your accepting him?! A two star over me who is a three star?!" Tony yelled a bit, causing my mates to growl dangerously at him.

"Don't you dare yell at our mate" Tora growled as he stepped forward, ready to shift at any given moment. Tony was also ready to shift, ready for a fight. Although he was indeed a bit hesitant.

Even he was a three star, he couldn't possibly win the fight with the tiger without a single scratch, but there was also the eagle, peacock and panther male to worry about.

He knew he couldn't win this fight and so he left, but that did not discouraged him to stop courting me though. I just know it.

'Great, another troublesome male trying to court me' I mentally sighed before turning back to Kali and smiled.

"Why don't you have a seat and so that I can talk and learn more about you" I said and watch him eagerly sit in the space my males made for him.

'Well this would be interesting' I thought and started to talk to Kali, anything that I can learn about him and his village.
