Three
It was a beautiful Sunday morning.
Also, the last day of the weekend before work started again.
Yay.
In a cozy cafe, the young couple occupied a booth, sitting opposite each other. The brunet had some notes sprawled out on the table in front of him. He was working on a story he'd been assigned to for work. At the same time, Jeongguk was reading a book silently with his glasses perched at the bridge of his nose.
Around them, the air inside the place was homey and filled with the amazing scents of the mouth-watering confections ranging from its variety of coffee cakes to the crunchy golden croissants to the 'European Apple Muffins' (no one really knew what made them European though). Although, this cafe accentuated its orange brioches that were dusted with powdered sugar more than anything.
The pink creamy strawberry milkshake swirled around in its tall glass as Taehyung used the straw to stir it. Without taking his eyes off the notes in front of him, he lifted the glass and took a sip of the beverage, feeling the goodness of the cold drink trail down his throat.
He focused on trying to tie this story together in time for it to be handed in tomorrow. But he felt a headache coming on now. Taehyung liked this job but so far all of the stories he'd been assigned to were rather... ridiculous?
Like seriously! He had never been so annoyed before. Maybe a few examples would make you understand his misery. Earlier when he had just joined the company, his first task was to follow this old (and possible crazy) woman around on her 'journey' to try to proof that 'Goblins' were real. Of course, in the end there was nothing to report about because- Oh! Goblins weren't fucking real!
Then last month, he had to interview this man who claimed that his cow could bark. Yes, like a dog. To the brunet, there were two things that entered his mind at that time. One, there was no way in hell that this was true and two, even if it were true... who the heck would want to know about it?!
And now his latest assignment was already ruffling his feathers a little. Taehyung's lips were pressed into a thin line, reading over the notes when he heard Jeongguk stifled a laugh from opposite him.
The older lifted his head to see the raven-head smiling adoringly at him.
"You're so cute right now."
"Huh?"
Jeongguk gestured to his upper lip. "You're pouting and you have a milkshake mustache right there."
Oh...
An innocent chuckle left Taehyung as he reached for a napkin. The raven-head was about to say something else but his eyes moved to the two figures approaching their table from behind the older. Straight away, his smile widened.
Taehyung was oblivious to this.
Which explained why he almost had a heart attack when a hand gripped his shoulder from the behind with a loud:
"Boo!"
What the fuck?! His hand immediately went over his heart that was pounding so hard right now. There was only one person that would do something like this. Taehyung turned to face the culprit and of course it was none other than-
"Jimin."
The now blond Jimin grinned at his best friend, casually sliding down in the booth next to him but the brunet wasn't having it. "What the hell? You scared me!"
Jimin rolled his eyes. "Tae, even if you saw me entering through that door, you'd still get scared."
How dare he...
With a huff, Taehyung ignored that comment and looked up at Yoongi instead who was standing there beside their table.
"Yoongi hyung, how are you?"
The pale older smiled back. "I'm fine. Just a little busy at the parlor." He said and turned to the youngest of the four there. He and Jeongguk did the bro-handshake thingy.
"Did you see last night's wrestling match?"
"You mean when Rang Han-seok completely annihilated Jung Sihyun?"
"Oh come on, you saw how Rang cheated. He took Sihyun by surprise."
"That's merely an excuse but did you see the amount of blood though?"
"Yeah, I'd hate to be Sihyun right now."
Oh yeah, the two of them were friends now.
There wasn't a reason for them to hate each other. Before this, the raven-head only disliked Yoongi because he thought that the older had an interest in Taehyung. After finding out that Yoongi was dating Jimin, Jeongguk felt relieved and a little dumb for assuming things. Nonetheless, with a little effort, he and the pale boy ended up becoming good friends. They actually had a lot in common, like their love for wrestling.
While all of this was going on, Taehyung and Jimin stared dumbly at their boyfriends.
"Do you understand a thing they said?"
"Not a clue." The brunet shook his head.
Yoongi then turned to Jimin with an 'I almost forgot' look. "Oh, what did you want to drink again?" He furrowed his brows.
Jimin rolled his eyes for the second time today. "Hyung, how hard is it to remember? I want a 20-ounce iced skinny caramel macchiato, sugar-free vanilla syrup, double shot of expresso with exactly three cubes of ice."
"Right." The older nodded slowly with a tight smile before starting his way to the front cafe register.
Jeongguk took off his glasses and got up from his seat. "I'll come with you, I need a refill." He turned to Taehyung as he stood up. "Sweetheart, do you want anything?"
The older shook his head with a smile. "No, I'm good."
So the raven-head was off with the oldest, leaving the two best friends alone at the booth. Taehyung gazed down at his notes again but before he could read anything, he noticed the cellist practically jumping in his seat next to him.
"Sweetheart huh... I'm guessing things went well between you two."
The brunet shrugged. "What? He calls me that all the time."
"I'm talking about the dinner with his parents."
Taehyung turned to face his best friend now. "Oh... It went well I guess."
"Tell me more. Did you embarrass yourself? You probably did, didn't you?"
"No I didn't." Well, there was the incident where he thought that Mrs Jeon was going to hit him but hey, Jimin didn't need to know that. Instead- "We had a great dinner together and then Jeongguk showed me his bedroom."
"Oh~" The blond wiggled his eyebrows. "His bedroom huh. Did you guys do anything in there?"
The other's chestnut eyes widened. "Oh my- could you..." An exhausted sigh escaped his lips. "Why are you so childish?" He asked before reaching for his milkshake, taking a sip out of it again.
He heard a scoff emitted from his friend. "Childish? You're the one with the milkshake mustache right now."
Taehyung groaned. Not again.
Upon reaching for another napkin, he noticed dark inky lines poking out from the cellist's right jacket sleeve. Straight away, he knew.
"You got another tattoo?"
Jimin grinned happily, pulling his sleeve higher, displaying the newest tattoo he got. It was three tiny arrows lined together; each one with a different arrow-head design. "Isn't it pretty? I did it myself."
Yoongi now owned the tattoo parlor that previously belonged to his friend. Whenever he had the time and wasn't working, he'd open the place and Jimin followed him there all the time. The cellist even began to learn how to use the tattoo gun. Although his boyfriend still didn't allow him to tattoo any customers yet.
"It's nice." Taehyung commented.
"Why don't you stop by the parlor and I'll do one for you."
Before he could stop it, a laugh came out of him. "Are you serious right now? There's no way I'm trusting you to put a tattoo on me."
The hopeful glint in Jimin's eyes died out as he scowled at the other. "I'm getting better okay! Also, you only have that one tattoo. Why don't you get another one, huh?"
"No thanks. The only reason I even have a tattoo right now is because you blackmailed me into getting it." He thought back to when he walked into that tattoo parlor for the first time.
"That was ages ago. Are you still holding that against me?"
"Yes."
Jimin then made a thinking face before smirking at his best friend.
This wasn't good.
"Well then I guess you leave me with no choice. I'll just have to blackmail you again."
"With what?" Taehyung furrowed his brows, now a little scared.
The blond inched a little closer as he whispered. "Remember the other day when I caught you reading that-"
Straight away-
"Shut up! Don't you dare say it."
So long story short, Jimin walked in on Taehyung reading an uh- erotic book the other day. By the time the brunet hid the book behind him, it was too late. His friend already saw the title. But honestly, it wasn't that bad.
Everyone reads an erotic book once in a while when they're in a mood.
What made it a thousand times worst was the 'content' that Taehyung was reading (not to mention also getting a hard-on at the same time) was very, very, very shamefully... kinky.
Something that no one could ever find out... especially Jeongguk. The brunet could just imagine the embarrassment he'd drown in if his boyfriend ever knew that he was into-
No! He can't even imagine it!
"Jimin," He begged. "Please don't tell anyone. I'm begging you."
The blond had a smug face on. "I don't know..."
"We're best friends aren't we?"
"Ugh..." Jimin's smile fell into a pitiful look. "Okay, okay fine but you don't get to use the 'best friend card' for the rest of the year."
"Okay." Taehyung grinned and nodded, instinctively moving forward to hug the other.
He pulled away from the hug when Jeongguk and Yoongi returned to their table, still in a heated conversation about a wrestling match. Something about the wrestler being on steroids... They took their seats opposite Taehyung and Jimin, placing their beverages down on the table at the same time.
"Here." Yoongi handed the coffee container to the cellist.
Jimin took a sip before beaming happily. "Thanks!"
The four of them soon got into a conversation, discussing the blond's latest role in a play. Jimin was now a pretty popular actor. In the past year, he had done more than twenty musicals with a few plays here and there. The audience just loved his acting and dancing skills.
All while this was going on, Taehyung was mildly distressed thinking about what Jimin and him talked about earlier. And when his eyes found Jeongguk's dark shiny ones for a moment, a shot of electricity ran down his body, getting him all jittery. He felt his ears heat up at the thought of the other finding out about 'that'.
So he casually smiled back and looked down at his notes. It was already hard enough for him to focus on this story before. Now? It was impossible! He found himself rereading the same sentence over and over again.
Once again...
Thanks Jimin.
