Seeing the same woman from his store yesterday quickly walk by made him wonder why she was here today. Then in that split second he heard a woman's voice call out a name that made his entire body taunt.

"Gauri! Gauri! Wait!"

Omkara wanted to just push the elevator button to stop it from closing completely but it was too late.

"Gauri? Was that her? Or was she calling out to someone else? Damn." Letting out a sarcastic laugh as to why he was being bothered by just her name Omkara forgot Khanna was still standing beside him.

Khanna: Boss did you say something?

Omkara: Nothing.

Waving her hand in the air  trying to catch up to Gauri who did not even want to turn around to greet the person calling out to her. She had felt that she had no choice but to stop walking.

Breathing in to relax herself Gauri slowly turned around to see Ishana running towards her. The green scarf was swaying on the side of her hip while her expensive heels had people staring at her. Gauri could tell Ishana was purposely making a scene to get people to notice her and the fact that she made Gauri an unwilling participant was quite annoying.

"Morning Ishana. No need to yell out my name so many times."

"I was afraid you didn't hear me because you kept on walking."

Looking down at her watch once again as she enters the employee elevator Gauri still had time to spare.

Ishana: Seems like our interview is on the same floor Gauri.

Gauri: Seems like it.

Gauri could feel Ishana's eyes observing her. Though Gauri did not look as fashionable as Ishana today but the simplicity in her outfit and how she carried herself forced people to look at her a little longer. Gauri's hair was simply down and wavy while tucking one side behind her ear showing her simple pearl earring. The high-waisted black pencil skirt outlined her every curve while her black heels she got yesterday made her calves look toned and appealing to the eyes. Even her simple button shirt made the entire outfit classy.

Ishana: Wow Gauri you sure are talented. You really look nice today.

Gauri: Thank you. You look nice yourself.

"So are you nervous for your interview Gauri?"

"I am."

"So you are going to work on the Old and Classy campaign too?"

"I don't know anything yet."

"I did my research last night. So Svetlana Kapoor is not the only one working on Old and Classy but it is also primary ran by Jhanvi. How I wish I was interviewing with her today! She is my idol!"

Ishana was trying her best to make Gauri open up and reveal more information regarding herself but how could she when every answer from Gauri was no more than 5 words.

"Um so are you interviewing with Jhanvi Gauri?"

"I'm not sure."

Unable to stand it anymore Ishana grabbed Gauri's hand which was quickly brushed off.

"Gauri is something wrong? Did I do something? I feel that you don't like me or something. You were so nice to me yesterday but I feel that after you heard I was interviewing in the designer department in charge of Old and Classy...."

This was what Gauri was afraid of most. A woman who can easily play the victim. It wasn't enough that Gauri was just trying to be cordial but now to be in an elevator with people within the company looking at her as if she was a bully only made her head hurt.

"It's nothing like that Ishana. We just met yesterday so it's not your fault that you don't know that this is how I am."

With just one line from Gauri the unpleasing looks she was getting from the bystanders were now replace with confusion.

Pretending to hide her humiliation behind her big smile Ishana quickly tried to say something but unfortunately once the elevator door opened Gauri quickly exited and started to casually walk towards her interview.

30 minutes before interview

Svetlana: So Jhanvi I heard Omkara specifically picked a person to be your assistant. So where does that leave you Riddhima?

Trying to hold back her anger Riddhima dared not to respond to Svetlana who was more than delighted to insult her.

Jhanvi: Riddhima is still my assistant Svetlana. Who says I can't have two? Since this campaign requires both our teams you should know how much work there is.

Svetlana: Well at least this girl Omkara found for you seems to have some talent unlike people who use their connections to step foot in this company.

Jhanvi could see that Riddhima was beginning to lose her cool and this was not the time for any catfight especially when Omkara was waiting for her report later.

Jhanvi: I hear you are also interviewing someone.

Svetlana opens up a file "Yes. She graduated top of her class and her designs she submitted are pretty impressive."

Looking devilishly at Jhanvi who was still looking through her own file Svetlana walked up closer.

"Hey! Remember the days how competitive we were? How about doing the interviews at the same time?"

"What? Those days were the worst. What's the point of interviewing them both at the same time?"

Nudging her old friend "Come on Jhanvi...we hardly get to interview people anymore. This will be fun. Plus if I like your girl better I will go talk to Omkara to let me have her."

Riddhima's eyes lit up hearing Svetlana's intentions. Ever since Jhanvi told her about getting another assistant she hasn't been able to lift her head in the office since. Everyone use to cater to her and envy her but now they were all questioning her abilities as a designer since Omkara had personally appointed another assistant for Jhanvi.

"My girl has no college degree."

"What?! And Omkara picked her?!"

Jhanvi handed the file to Svetlana to see "I reacted just like you until I saw these."

Riddhima hated that damn file. And seeing Svetlana's eyes full of focus and enamor for the designs made her more determine to make Gauri's life hell. To have a small town girl with no degree, no experience and of such low status be in the same position as her was just too humiliating.

"These are her designs?!"

"Yup. Now you see why Omkara is making an exception?"

"Jhanvi!"

Clutching her arm and with pleading eyes Jhanvi could only laugh at her friend.

"Hey...even if I wanted to let you have her Omkara wouldn't allow it. Besides the girl you have is good too."

"But I want my assistant to be better than yours!"

Jhanvi: Quit it with your competitiveness. I'll agree to do the interview together. We can both ask them questions and move on.

Svetlana: I'm just hoping they are not here to try to seduce our boss..like some people.

Riddhima could only stand there and let the insults roll off of her because if she threw a tantrum now she would only look like a brat who is jealous of a "nobody."

Jhanvi: Riddhima when the girls get here tell them to both come in. They should be waiting in our reception area.

Riddhima: Yes Ma'am.

Omkara: Khanna.

Khanna: Yes sir?

Omkara: Activate the cameras in the interview room and direct the feed to my laptop.

Khanna: But sir we have a meeting soon.

Omkara: Cancel it. I need to get this out of my system and waiting for a report from Jhanvi will take too long.

Khanna: Okay sir.
