Naruto wondered what they were doing this deep in the forest, whatever Shikamaru had planned couldn't be that big. He played with the necklace with a nervous look on his face. 'No seriously what could be better than what I have now,' His hand brushed against the earrings he now wore and laughed quietly. The thought died when he saw were he was. It was a cave entrance. The entrance was a wooden gazebo leading into the mountain cave. Neon blue fire lined the path as Shikamaru led them through the entrance and deeper into the mountain side.

"Shikamaru?" He called confused as to what was going on. The light up ahead was blue and when he finally saw what was waiting he felt light bursting into tears. It was beautiful, it was the second most breath taking sight he'd ever seen. First being his children and lover.

"How-" Naruto was cut off my Shikamaru who pulled on a wire and flowers started to float from the top of the waterfall and down to the main pool. "Shikamaru-" He was cut off again by a pair of extremely similar pair of lips. 

Naruto's eyes teared up, he never took himself as one who loved the romantic approach to things but clearly Shikamaru knew him better than himself. When they pulled back Shikamaru made him sit at the bank and Shikamaru started picking up the flowers one by one.

Once he had a single flower of every kind he ordered he tied them with a red ribbon. "Naruto these flowers represent every aspect of you that I have fallen in love with." He gave them to the stunned blond who blushed and held them close. 

"Camellia, represents your refinement through all the years you've grown. You purged yourself of all the the corrupt thoughts the world tried to instill in you and came out better than all the rest. Chocolate sunflower shows that you have attained your dream. The dream you had ever since you were a child. It shows you used every opportunity to do what is right and help everyone around you. You never caved in to your challenges, you rose above them." Shikamaru had to stop because Naruto was crying.

"Shikamaru!" The blond sobbed, it wasn't in sadness. His teary blue eyes held so much happiness and he couldn't hold it in anymore. Shikamaru smiled and wiped his tears, he gave a look asking if he could continue and Naruto nodded.

"Craspedia, to signify good health. This is actually funny because I've never seen you sick but I wanted to make sure that I noted it in a flower. Crysanthemums, your ever present faithfulness to me and your joyous personality. Dark center poppies for your beauty. Orchids for your ever growing strength to protect what matters to you. Protea for the different stages of change you went through but still maintained your positivity on the outlook of life." 

Naruto kissed him in a fit of passion causing them to fall in the water. When they came up Shikamaru was laughing. "Shikamaru you didn't have to-" He was cut off by a finger to his lips.

"I'm not done and this isn't the end of the gift." Shikamaru caressed his cheeks softly and kissed his forehead. The bouquet of flowers was now floating between them and Naruto held onto them allowing Shikamaru to end the comparison of Naruto to flowers.

'This is too much already but what's coming after. I don't think I can handle it.' Naruto thought as his erratic heartbeat pounded in his ears. "Ranunclus for your radiant charm and attractiveness. The typical red rose to show our love and passion for each other. And Naruto you are very passionate." Naruto snickered at the leer.

"Sedum, a cure for a broken and wounded heart. You healed my heart and I can only hope I healed yours in return, and finally Wax flower for your lasting love and patience." Shikamaru dipped beneath the water to retrieve the final piece in this unveiling. He resurfaced and brought the box into view.

"The fuck," Naruto said as his voice began trembling. "S-S-Shikamaru, please no-"

"Naruto for the past years since we met we've grown from Friends to Best friends then to Hokage and Advisor and finally Lovers. I never thought I would have a second marriage but Kami-sama said otherwise. I want you to be joined to me for all of eternity, I promise to treat you like a King and treasure our every moment. The only way I should be separated from you is through death-'

"Don't say stupid shit like that." Naruto cut in waving off the death part. "Continue now." Shikamaru laughed but pulled himself together.

"Naruto I love you, I love what we have and I want to cement how far we've come. Will you marry me?" Naruto jumped him but Shikamaru was prepared this time. He held the blond's waist as thighs clung to his hips.

"Yes!" Naruto yelled in his ear. Shikamaru slightly flinched and prayed he wouldn't be deaf in this marriage. "I'll marry you, you stupid lazy genius." Naruto was reduced to happy sobs as Shikamaru opened the box to slip on the ring.

Naruto admired the Titanium ring with a gentle smile, he kissed his fiance. Shikamaru responded eagerly. Shikamaru sat the blond back on the bank and stood between his legs.

"You should get out of the water." Naruto murmured against his lips. Shikamaru snickered and pulled at the blond's strap.

"Why should I? You're coming right back in." Shikamaru pulled off his kimono to reveal that he was completely naked underneath. Naruto's breath hitched.

"Shikamaru." The blond whined as his body started heating up. Shikamaru shushed him as he pulled off his lover's kimono. He opened Naruto's legs and began marking his inner thighs. Naruto gripped the raven locks tightly as Shikamaru moved closer to his urgent problem.

Then in one swallow he was in a wet heat that made him lose himself. He threw his head back as his moans echoed in the cave. The frequent slurps from Shikamaru made him realize how lewd they've become. But ultimately he felt happy, he found love again and had a happy family. What more could he ask for?

"S-Shika," Naruto sighed in pleasure as he set the pace by thrusting in the smoldering heat. His high came slow, like a gentle caress. What pushed him over was when Shikamaru teeth bit his tip. He shivered as Shikamaru swallowed his essence. 

"My turn." Shikamaru latched onto his neck and pulled him in the water. Shikamaru slipped inside the blond with practiced precision. Naruto sunk his nails in his biceps as he started pounding into Naruto. The water around them became rippled as they pleasured themselves to their fullest extent.

Grunts and moans could be heard and from a third perspective it looked like two lovers caught in the most intimate act created by Kami-sama among the color illuminated water and scented flowers. The haven Shikamaru created for a proposal would become a milestone in their relationship.
