A wedding was being held, it was put together by a very conservative clan. Hinata sighed as she eyed the disgusting black dress she had to wear in keeping with the Aburame tradition of dark clothing. It belonged to Shino's mother which was passed down from the previous matriarch and every other woman who married into the clan for the last 5 generations. The dress was kept in pristine condition due to preservation seals. 

It was atrocious, a far cry from the traditional kimono she wore from the Hyuga clan. And even then she had free reign of the style only thing the kimono had to be white. She hated the dress, she hated how nobody but clan members could attend the wedding. She gritted her teeth as the ladies dressed her. The dress was rough on her skin and she could feel her skin claw a bit as she heard the Kaichu flutter in the room. They belonged to Shino, another tradition is to allow the groom's insects to hover over the new queen of the nest, they release pheromones over her so she smells like apart of the clan so the other kaichu don't attack her on instinct. 

When the union is completely sealed and they have sex the kaichu would settle in her body to ensure she is recognized as queen. So the kaichu would dig their way into her skin to locate her chakra network and make house in it's core for life. 'Why did I agree to marry Shino?' She thought as she internally curled in on herself. 'I don't want to be disowned, that's why.' She rubbed her baby bump and cringed when she felt a kick in return. 

She wanted no more children but she needed to produce one for the Aburame clan. When the ladies left the room to set up the other areas she paced back and forth trying to keep tears at bay. During the last two years nearly three she's watched her ex-husband build himself higher than her. The Uzumaki-Nara clan was a tight knit family that were weird with their quirks but it worked when they were all together. The biggest surprise for her was Himawari undergoing ninja training and was scheduled to take the Genin exam soon. 

She always thought Himawari would be a lady in waiting or a medical ninja not a field ninja. Her formerly smooth lavender hair was growing wildly and she was developing similar bangs like Naruto's. The next thing was the abominations he gave birth to, the twins were literally walking lights while the new addition was just a bubbling mess. She wanted to murder them whenever she saw them stumbling around the village clinging to Boruto, Shikadai and Himawari. It was disgusting how close they were. Didn't children who were forced to become blended hate the other parent? How the hell does Boruto, her own flesh and blood adapt to calling Shikamaru 'Dad' and Naruto 'Mom'?! She was his mother!

Shikadai was the same with calling Naruto 'Mother'. It was sick and everyone around them was finding it so adorable. The people of the village now looked at her in disdain, she had even overheard Shino's father saying that the council didn't find his opinion important anymore because of their reckless actions. He scolded Shino for even thinking of marrying her. A little hussy looking for a good time in bed. He even pointed out that now he was in the same boat that Naruto was. 

Shino was due to take over the clan shortly after the wedding, two weeks to be exact. He would be busy trying to convince the other heirs now turned Clan Heads as to why they should work with him. The same people who they were friends with before everything was blown out in the open. It was going to be difficult to convince them especially since they were rather disgusting when the couple first came out to the group along with the surprise of the twins in the making. 

But it was what Shibi implied when he said Shino was in the same boat Naruto was. The reason Hinata cheated in the first place was because Naruto was too busy with his position to give her sexual attention. Now that Shino was going to be handling the clan from here on out it was like he was a mini Hokage over his clansmen. Effectively bringing up a direct parallel to how the cheating started. Busy husband watching over his people and giving his wife little to no attention. Hinata would be left unattended, free to do whatever she wanted.

But what Shibi didn't account for was Shino's loyalty to her. When Shino went all in on the marriage it was really all in. No secrets, no under the table deals he was doing it of his own free will. Hinata might be cruel but she wasn't stupid, she would never have an affair again and not because she wants to but more like she couldn't. The whole village knew the truth of what caused her divorce and the kaichu that would soon settle in her body would squeal to their owner faster than a kid tattle tailing. 

She had to play her cards right and right now the cards were telling her to play it safe and wait. Wait for what you may ask? She herself didn't know, she just knew to wait. With a sigh she gathered her thoughts and made her way to the alter. She would be walking herself out of one marriage and into another, no father to hold her hand down the aisle like the last time. One it was forbidden in Aburame customs and two even if it was allowed her father wouldn't dare set foot on this soil. He was batting for team Uzumaki-Nara going as far as to take Himawari as a student. 

'He never batted an eye at my training, the elders did.' She thought as her face marred behind the closed doors. Before her thoughts could go further the door opened and she smoothed out her features and smiled as she took timed steps to her next ball and chain. Shino was a lovely boy and that was a fatal flaw when it comes to dealing with her. You couldn't be a gentleman, she found it boring, the reason she took to Shino so readily during her previous marriage was because he was doing something you would never expect of him. People with faces like Sasuke's were the ones sneaking in and out of married men's homes, not plain wall flowers like Shino.

It was such a surprise that she couldn't let him get away. So she locked him down but now that the were going to be married Shino lost the shine Hinata once saw. She wanted excitement, she was still young and kicking. But for the sake of not being taken as a complete joke she smiled and hurried her pace as her new prison guard aka the priest who got ready to check her in/wed her to Shino.

She zoned out for a moment as she wondered how life with her new unwanted baby would be but ultimately she could just ask for her new mother in law to take the damned thing. She nodded to herself and became aware of her surrounds as they moved from the greetings and into the vows. 'I'm not here to become a matriarch, I just need a scapegoat.'
