Disclaimer: I went a little lengthy................

 Naruto smiled as he dressed his children for the monthly dinner he had with their friends and their kids. It would be the first of many he would go with Shikamaru and Shikadai. The young Nara had grew on him in the pass weeks and loved him dearly. Currently Boruto was having a fit over the clothes he had to wear. 

Naruto saw nothing wrong with it, it was a dark blue version of his regular outfit. "Boruto why won't you wear it," 

"Because I want to match with you, Dad and Shikadai are matching." Boruto whined. It was true both Nara's were wearing a dark green kimono like top and black pants, they looked fabulous. Naruto was wearing a red, tight sleeveless shirt with a black jacket left open along with black Anbu like pants.

Himawari bounded into the room smiling giddily. "Papa look what Dad made me wear! I look like a princess." She wasn't wrong either. She was adorned in a red kimono with yellow lilies, in her hair was a red flower accessory with brought attention to her lavender hair. She looked beautiful.

"Now Himawari's wearing red to compliment you." Boruto pouted, Naruto smiled at his son. He never knew Boruto could be this way. That brought a small flash of sadness through him, it must've showed because tugged at him. "Mom what's wrong?"

Naruto grew a tick, that's another thing he needed to handle. Boruto had begun calling him Mom and even Shikadai was starting to pick up on it. He ruffled Boruto's head. "Nothing just realized I don't even know your personality properly." Boruto huffed and placed a gentle hands on his stomach.

"Babies, which ever gender you are, you have a very stupid mother." Boruto said smiling. Naruto flicked his forehead.

"Urusai, you brat." Naruto laughed, Boruto smiled and hugged him. Himawari  joined in as well.

"Papa doesn't have to worry, you're doing great." Himawari mumbled in his thigh. 

"Stupid Mom, you've already made up for your lack of presence." Boruto said looking up at him, Naruto smiled and crouched to their height and hugged them tightly.

When they pulled back they saw the rest of the family at the door. 

"Are you guys ready," Shikamaru asked a small smile gracing his lips. Shikadai picked up Himawari and fixed the accessory that went askew in her hair. Naruto shook his head and went back in Boruto's large closet. He returned with an outfit that was similar to his. 

Boruto happily put them on. He was now clad in black jeans, black long sleeve fishnet shirt and pulled a red shirt over it. He smiled pleased. "Ready!"

They all pulled on their shoes and made their way to the restaurant. Boruto and Shikadai walked in front of them while Himawari walked in between her parents and held onto their hands. Shikamaru looked at the scene before him and an immense joy came over him. He was going to proudly say he and Naruto were dating tonight. He wanted to do it when everyone was present instead of when he crosses paths with them.

They knew about the divorces and about us moving in together not the whole dating and babies part. It was going to be a big shock but he was prepared to fight tooth and nail for this should they ever disagree with their relationship. Soon they arrived at a familiar BBQ restaurant. So many events happened in this one restaurant for their friend group. 

The restaurant over the years got more modern and colorful but it still housed the memories in perfect condition. Naruto opened the door and Shikadai and Boruto rushed forward to find where their friends were along with their parents. Naruto chuckled and hoisted Himawari on his hip. They headed inside where they felt familiar chakra, they soon came across two of largest tables in the restaurant one occupied the children, the other the parents. Boruto and Shikadai seemed to settle in with their friends and were having some sort of video game debate.

Naruto motioned for Shikamaru to go to the other table and approached the children table. "Boruto, Shikadai watch out for your sister and don't go rough on her." Naruto said softly as he placed Himawari in between her brothers. 

"No problem M-Dad." Boruto choked out, Naruto smirked at him. Shikadai was kicking up a storm of laughter. 

"Evening guys," Naruto said to the other kids presents. They responded with 'Hokage-sama and Naruto-sama' he found it cute and responded with a smile.

They were two distinct squeals from Sarada and Cho-Cho, Naruto only waved and headed over to his friends. He could still hear their conversations due to Kurama increasing his hearing.

"You still have a crush on my Dad?" Boruto asked.

"Who wouldn't he's so perfect." Sarada gushed.

"Hokage-sama is so kind and wonderful." Cho-Cho said softly with fondness. He could hear a distinct gag he was sure came from Himawari, he chuckled and tuned them out as Shikamaru motioned to the spot beside him. He noted that Hinata and Shino was absent, he sent out a chakra wave and sensed them approaching the restaurant. He sighed quietly and raised his hand to order.

"Naruto how are you?" Sakura asked with concern in her green eyes. Naruto smiled at her softly as he caught the attention of a waiter.

"Sakura I'm great, I feel almost too free." Naruto chuckled as he turned to the waiter telling him order. He turned to Shikamaru who shrugged, Naruto took that as him eating whatever he ordered. When the waiter left they broke out in chatter.

"Come on my youthful friend, be honest." Lee pestered. Naruto laughed at his antics, he hadn't changed at all.

"Lee I am honest, I'm great. Maybe it was something bound to happen." Naruto looked away a bit towards the children. "I just didn't want them in the cross fire. Y'know."

Sasuke sighed and pushed him a glass of water. "You have alot of explaining your going to need it." Naruto nodded and sipped some before he started telling them the full story in low tones so the kids won't hear.

Hinata and Shino were standing infront of the restaurant. Hinata wondered how tonight would go, she was still angry about what happened in court and to make things worse she had been removed from the main household. Her father said it's time for her to find some dignity and marry into the Aburame to save herself. 

Shino accepted her, so now she was engaged to marry him as soon as possible. She didn't know things could go so off course, she got careless and neglecting the kids became her undoing. She clenched her hands and placed them on the door only to be stopped by a pale hand. She looked up at Shino confused.

Shino felt immensely guilty, Naruto was once his close friends. He couldn't fathom what made him sleep with Hinata but he oddly had no regrets. She was lonely so he comforted her in what anyway she wanted. Her being his wife soon was a blessing, now his father would have no choice but to accept her to save face. He had no interest in the girls of his clan, plain Janes in his eyes.

"Hinata whatever happens I'll stand by you." Shino said protectively. 

"Thanks Shino-kun." She smiled and kissed his cheek. They entered together and quickly found were everyone was. Hinata got a full view of her children playing around with Shikadai and the rest of their age group. They looked extremely happy, especially Himawari. The table adjacent to the kids had her friends. She could make out unmistakable blond hair, she felt her stomach twist.

Hinata took a deep breath and walked over hand in hand with her fiance. A tense silence fell when they stood infront of the table. "You have some nerve." Kiba growled at his two former teammates. Naruto and Shikamaru came closer together and eyed them warily.

"I see nothing wrong here, we meet like usual every month." Shino said adjusting his eye shields. He pulled up two chairs and Naruto felt uncomfortable with Hinata this close to him. 

Ino scoffed at them. "Hinata you chased the guy for majority of your life and then when you finally get him you do this after you all came this far." 

"That is very stupid lavender bitch." Sai scolded a intense glare in his eyes.

Hinata clenched her hands again. "Hinata, what was your reason for doing all of this." TenTen asked and Hinata has had enough.

"You all fucking side with him!" She raged as she turned to Naruto and pointed her finger at him. "You were never home, I was so lonely. Everything was piling up on me and you weren't there. Shino was there!"

Naruto looked at her as his eyes welled with tears, he could hear Shikamaru growl from behind him but before the raven could say anything Naruto spoke up. "I know."

This made the room pause. Naruto closed his eyes and let his tears fall. "I know I wasn't there for you, I was busy being there for the entire village yet out of everyone you felt the most neglected. I don't blame you for being angry, I don't blame the kids for being angry either. But even as I slaved away at being Hokage I always remembered why I was doing it. I was doing it to keep everyone safe, especially my family. I was lonely too, you don't know how many times I wanted to just give up and come home. I couldn't though, no one else could carry this, I had to carry it. I wished I was there but I couldn't be, when I found out I had the biggest surprise waiting for you. I made every effort to ensure your gift got here, made a reservation at your restaurant, had Hanabi take the kids and even had Ino make the biggest bouquet I could carry. Then you shattered me." 

The entire table was glaring at Hinata and Shino as Naruto was busy wiping his tears. When he looked up he smiled at her sadly. "I don't hate you Hinata, I don't blame you. I only hope your happy now."

Hinata quickly rose from here chair and kicked it away. She grabbed Naruto by his jacket and pulled him out of the seat. The stood in the aisle with everyone's eyes on them. "Hinata-" Shino tried to calm down as her eyes activated.

"Shut up! You don't get to be sorry." Hinata screamed at Naruto. "Stop being so kind and forgiving-" She got cut off by Naruto who rose an eyebrow.

"Who said anything about forgiving. Trust me, I'm far from forgiving the likes of you." Naruto growled. "I don't think I ever will. While I worked for us, you were spreading legs because of loneliness. I was extremely lonely but always pretended to be bright and happy you didn't see me looking for company with others." 

It was a low blow and Naruto knew that but he didn't care. This woman had the audacity to say he was forgiving her! Hinata pushed him away and looked him up and down. She froze when she stopped at his abdominal area. "Impossible,"

Naruto tilted his head and smirked a little. "I always make the impossible possible, you should know this by now." Everyone minus Shikamaru and Sasuke was confused.

"What the hell is she going on about?" Kiba asked completed confused.

"H-He's Pregnant." Hinata stepped back. "How the fuck are pregnant." 

Naruto frowned. "Kurama comes up with things to accommodate my romantic preferences." He said simply. That seemed to click a light bulb in everyone and their heads turned to Shikamaru.

"Yes we're dating." Shikamaru shrugged, Naruto hit him over the head with a small blush on his face. "What I was planning on telling them anyway."

"But now they know who tops you idiot," Naruto whisper yelled. Shikamaru pulled him into a hug.

"Have you seen yourself, I'm clearly the more dominant one here." Shikamaru hummed as he ruffled the blond's hair.

"Unexpected but youthful all the same." Lee cheered. "Naruto I hope your children come as youthful as you."

"It would be a shame if they were lazy like Shikamaru," Choji commented, Shikamaru looked betrayed by his bestfriend. 

"But do we really want little mini Narutos running around," Sasuke spoke up from his BBQ.

Naruto looked offended. "Teme!"

"It's disgusting! A man being pregnant is disgusting and unnatural. An abomination." Hinata scowled as she looked at him with disgust.

Naruto looked sad and self consciously wrapped his arms around his body. "No it's not."

"Yes it is," Shino insisted. "You should get rid of it."

In a flash a shadow was wrapped around his neck and a katana was thrust under Hinata's neck.

"One more word and I pop your head off." Shikamaru growled. "You have no right to speak to my lover like that and you certainly won't call my unborn children 'it'." 

"Hinata I suggest you apologize, Naruto's been far too kind." Sasuke said coldly. "Do you really think it's wise to call the Hokage's unborn children an abomination."

"Oh please Naruto wouldn't-" She got cut off by a inhuman growl that bounced off the walls.

"Don't call his name in your filthy mouth!" Shikamaru whirled on her. 

By now the kids were by Naruto who had his head down. Himawari looked at Hinata with a glare. "Your making Papa and Daddy upset!" She screamed.

"Mommy are you okay?" Boruto asked looking up only to have a few tears land on his face. "Dad Mom's crying." A shadow locked around Hinata's throat as well and she was thrust against the wall. Shikamaru looked livid.

Sakura and Ino went over to Naruto to try and comfort him. TenTen glared at the two and drew a knife. The rest of the boys backed her up.

"You have no right to call those babies such a disgusting word." Sai said opening his scroll.

"Naruto you need to clam down, those little guys can be put under stress." Sakura cooed as she held his face up. Ino pulled a face rag and cleaned up the tears.

"Your babies are precious don't let a no good bitch tell you otherwise." Naruto laughed and Ino smiled as she managed to at least make him smile.

"Ino kids are present," Naruto choked out as he rubbed his stomach. Ino turned to her son with a warning look.

"Don't use it until your older. Got It?" Inojin nodded.

Naruto sighed as he calmed himself down, he managed to put on a mask and approach his lover and best friends. "Guys stop it, this is pointless. It will only let the situation spiral out of control."

"Naruto she-" Naruto cut Sasuke off. 

"Nope teme we aren't discussing this. Stand down, kami will avenge me." He said confidently. "How about this, dinner's practically ruined now. How about Saturday you all come by the house, I'm cooking. Bring the kids."

They relaxed a bit except the two still pinned to the wall by shadows. Shikamaru looked relaxed but if you looked closely you could still see a silent glare. Naruto placed a hand on his bicep and Shikamaru let them down.

"Let's go home," Naruto said quietly as he looked over at the couple on the ground. Shikamaru hugged him closely.

"Let me in." He said to the blond.

"Later," Naruto whispered.
