--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Another memory had just ended and it was time for Jimin to leave to the next one. He was so emotionally drained that he didn't think he could take any more memories. He was looking forward to a happy one for once but the corridor was filled with nothing but negative ones apparently. The door to leave the current memory reappeared and Jimin didn't even think twice about speeding towards it. All that he had witnessed was making him all the more determined to save Chaeyoung and to give her the life he knew she deserved. He wanted to give her the world and he would fight as hard as he could to find a way out and end things with the demon once and for all. So far he hadn't had any luck with locating Chaeyoung. He had believed that the memories were some sort of clue as to how to find her but that theory had yet to be proven correct. He wanted to hurry up and find her but if he had to go through each and every door in the place he would. If that was the only way to find her he would do it in a heartbeat.

Jimin sighed when he exited the memory and directed his eyes towards the door directly in front of him. He raised an eyebrow in confusion when he suddenly heard a noise. It was the first noise he had heard outside in the corridor or coming from one of the doors since his arrival. He took careful steps in its direction, catching the nameplate on the door that read 'DEATH' from a distance. Jimin gulped, ready to turn the knob until a smoky black figure emerged from it. He choked on his breath, instantly moving from the door and running as far away from it as he could.

"You can't run forever, son~" Jimin heard the voice say. He didn't halt for anything in the world, just ran as fast as his legs could take him. He could hear laughing from behind him but he didn't turn. He knew he was being chased down by the demon, which in a weird way gave him a bit of hope. If the demon was around then it increased his chances of bumping into Chaeyoung. Jimin was already running out of air and his legs felt like they could no longer carry him. He would either have to find a place to hide soon if he wanted to get away. A place where the demon wouldn't be able to find him or get to at least. Just as his thoughts were running wild with possibilities of a hideout, an open door appeared at the end of the endless corridor. It was a door just like the others with the exception of the beaming interior that was basically calling him.

Jimin didn't think twice and immediately went in. He could hear the door shut followed by the angered banging and snarls. He didn't pay too much attention and continued to run, his feet coming to a stop when he looked around the bright room. It wasn't that the room was white exactly. It was that the room had a white light on each and every space of the room.

His eyes then landed upon a sole figure sitting in the center of the brightly lit room. It was a thin figure with long flowy hair dressed in all white, they were hugging their legs that were pressed up against their chest, and their head rested on their knees. Jimin could feel the way his heart skipped a bit as he stared at the figure. He quietly started moving towards it, all the pain from the previous running he had done gone. He slowed down when he stood just a few steps away. "C-Chaeyoung?" His voice was quiet, he didn't want to get his hopes up but his heart told him that the figure sitting nearby was the one and only Park Chaeyoung.

The figure then lifted their head, wide eyes gazing into his equally wide ones, and just as his heart had believed Park Chaeyoung was the one staring back at him. In less than a second, Chaeyoung had managed to rise from the ground and tackle Jimin onto the floor. Her hands touched each and every part of his face before pulling him into a much-needed kiss. Jimin returned the kiss immediately, lips moving in sync with hers. As they moved their lips in a slow and passionate rhythm, Jimin could taste the saltiness of what he had presumed were Chaeyoung's tears. He could hear her whimper and it made him smile into the kiss.

He gently pulled away, admiring Chaeyoung's cute red nose, her reddened glossy lips, and her watery eyes. He carefully rolled over, placing Chaeyoung under him before kissing her again. Chaeyoung's hands cupped Jimin's face, leaving pecks wherever she could while hearing Jimin giggle. She kissed his nose, forehead, eyelids, cheeks, and lips again and again. Jimin returned the loving kisses tenfold until both of them were red and sore. "I-I was so worried about you." Jimin whispered, gently caressing Chaeyoung's hair as he lay next to her on the floor. Chaeyoung didn't respond and instead just tightened her grip around him and snuggled into his chest. Jimin couldn't help but chuckle, kissing the top of Chaeyoung's head before leaning his chin on it. He took a deep breath, all the previous negative emotions gone. Both felt like they could just fall asleep and forget about the world but that was sadly not the case. They still had things to do and something to destroy so when they both heard the bang coming from the door they immediately sat up and turned to look at it.

Chaeyoung shut her eyes and covered her ears, trying her best to block the demon's snarling out. Jimin pulled her towards his chest, hugging her protectively as he brushed her hair with his fingers and hummed a tune. Chaeyoung uncovered her ears and looked up at Jimin who was looking down at her with a smile. "We'll be okay. We have time to think. We can come up with something to hopefully stop him." Chaeyoung leaned up and kissed Jimin's lips lightly, blushing and looking away immediately. She was embarrassed but there was no way she could hide her true feelings while being in this room. This was her safe room. The only room in her mind that made her happy and kept her safe. The only room with any positivity inside.

Jimin grinned at how cute Chaeyoung was acting and he wished he could enjoy it as much as he wanted to but they had to start thinking. "Chaeyoung...why can't he come into this room? What kind of room is this?" He didn't want to bring up the fact that he had visited a bunch of the other rooms where he had witnessed all sorts of horrible things. He didn't want to break the light atmosphere this room carried and he didn't want Chaeyoung to think he thought differently of her just because of what he had seen. The things he had lived through as Chaeyoung herself.

Chaeyoung flinched when she heard a growl but shook it off immediately when she glanced back at Jimin who patiently awaited her response. "This is the safe room. This is the only room in my mind that carries any positive emotions. This is where my most cherished memories are held. Where the people that matter are remembered." Just as Chaeyoung finished her statement the white room transformed into a room of multiple screens, all playing memories of happy times. He gazed all around, mouth opening wide in surprise when he saw the faces of the people he cared about as well along with the specific memory all played through Chaeyoung's eyes.

On the multiple screens he could see Jin, Jungkook, Seulgi, his eomoni, and himself. These were not like the ones he had previously lived through. These were people he knew Chaeyoung loved, vibrant memories that had shaped her differently than all of the other memories combined. There were no blurry faces, no distorted sound, and no grayscale. Everything looked beautiful in his eyes. This room was absolutely beautiful. What Chaeyoung didn't tell Jimin was that if he went outside the room and read the nameplate hanging on the door, he would have noticed that it read 'LOVE.'

Chaeyoung and Jimin jumped, standing up from the floor and staring wide-eyed at the door that sounded like it was going to break anytime soon. "We have to stop him, Jimin! We can't let him destroy this room! It's all I have!" Chaeyoung was sobbing, her grip on Jimin's arm tightening as she flinched at yet another growl. Jimin looked around trying to think of something but nothing came to mind. They couldn't just wait forever in the room. They had to leave and they had to do it now. Jimin turned to look at a panicked Chaeyoung, a gentle hand pressed against her wet cheek. "Listen to me, Chae. We have to open the door and run into the corridor. We have to confront it head-on. There has to be a way to defeat it so we are going to have to figure that out while out there. We have to stay strong, okay? I'm terrified and I know you are too but we can't hold this out any longer, understand?" Chaeyoung felt really unsure about the whole thing but Jimin was right. They couldn't just wait any more. They had to fight. It was a blind fight but a fight they would try their hardest not to lose.

Both looked into each other's eyes, kissed one final time, said their final "I love you," held hands tightly, and then ran as fast as they could to the door that led out of the 'LOVE' room. The door opened when they were near enough, making them instantly duck as the demon had propelled itself right above their heads. They ran out of the room quickly followed by the demon. Neither had a chance to do much before they were sent flying in different directions. Chaeyoung hit her head as she landed on the floor and Jimin hurt his leg but both were still conscious.

(A/N: WARNING: JUST A TINY BIT OF VIOLENCE BELOW)

"ENOUGH! PLAYTIME IS OVER!" The demon flew towards Jimin first, grabbing onto the poor boy before slamming him against a wall repeatedly. Jimin spat out blood, eyes loosing focus when the demon's face came into view. The face of his father. "YoU aRe JuSt As AnNoYiNg As ThAt WoMaN! IS THIS HOW YOU WILL REPAY ALL I'VE DONE FOR YOU?! I WORKED DAY AND NIGHT TO PROVIDE FOR YOU AND THAT WOMAN! You were both always so ungrateful...never understood how much pressure I had to deal with at work. I just wanted to come home and rest but something always happened and I had to become the bad guy. Life pushed me into becoming this way. I wAs GiVeN a SeCoNd ChAnCe WiTh A lOt MoRe PoWeR~"

Jimin's body automatically trembled in fear, when the demon grasped his face with his hand and rose him up into the air. Jimin was having a hard time breathing and he couldn't see what was going on. All he knew was that he was terrified. His life flashed before his eyes when his head was bashed against the wall repeatedly. Each time he hit the wall he lost a bit more of his grip on himself. "JIMIN!"he heard a muffled cry of his name followed by fainting footsteps. Then he heard laughter along with repeatedly loud thuds and a sickening crunch sound. "J-Jimin...hang on...please." Chaeyoung's voice was growing weaker and Jimin felt his body jolt with newly found energy. His eyes were wide open and he squirmed his body, trying to get out of the demon's grasp.

There was a rush of adrenaline coursing through his veins and he recalled back at the mansion how he had been in a similar situation. He remembered how his fear had been replaced with the urgency to save Chaeyoung and that old feeling was back. He heard a loud hiss coming from a demon and before he knew it he had been dropped back onto the ground. Jimin watched as the demon held its hand while hissing, an obvious hole placed where his face had been. He looked down at his hands and found himself glowing with a pure white light. He didn't understand what it all meant but he didn't have time to worry about it. He rushed to the pained whimpering coming from a few feet behind him and saw as a bloodied Chaeyoung attempted to get up from the floor.

He was instantly by her side, an arm wrapped around her waist for support. "You'll be okay Chaeyoung. I'm here." Chaeyoung looked up and her eyes widened in awe when she saw his bright glow. "Y-your aura...Jimin...I've never seen it look so bright." Jimin stared in confusion, eyes averting from Chaeyoung to the demon and then back to her. "What are you talking about?" Chaeyoung looked at the demon who was still yelling about his hand and she smiled. "All the bad spirits that surrounded me would disappear due to your naturally pure aura. It's this thing that all people have. Kind of like a bubble that surrounds a person and it shines depending on your qualities. Yours has been the purest I have ever seen. A bright white glow that attracted a lot of unwanted attention but also made weak bad spirits disappear. However, it's shining brighter than it ever has before. I-It's incredible. I think i-it's strong enough to do some damage."

Jimin was amazed with the new knowledge he had obtained but he still couldn't figure out why it suddenly decided to make itself present after everything that had happened. "B-but why now?" he asked, watching as Chaeyoung turned to look at him with a weak smile. "Are you afraid?" Jimin shook his head, the only thing he was feeling was determination. He was determined to end this once and for all. He was determined to give Chaeyoung a better life. He was determined to go back to everyone he cared about back at home. Chaeyoung leaned in and kissed his cheek before whispering, "what are you afraid of now then?" Jimin eyed the demon who was heading straight for them. It was infuriated, the black smoke denser than it had ever been before but in that moment Chaeyoung and Jimin felt no fear.

They were at peace when they were together. Nothing else mattered in that moment but them. Jimin leaned in to Chaeyoung's face, lips brushing against hers when he said, "my biggest fear in this world would be to lose you." Chaeyoung's eyes shined brighter than ever, they didn't know what was going to happen next. They didn't know if they were just going to die in that instant but something in their hearts told them they would be just fine. "Losing you would be my biggest fear too." With that both closed their eyes and sealed their fates with a kiss, a sudden bright light illuminating the whole corridor. The light was so bright that it completely disintegrated the demon heading their direction in one go.

When Chaeyoung and Jimin opened their eyes, they pulled away from the kiss and looked around in amazement. What was once a dark corridor had now become fully lit with doors that represented the good and bad of Chaeyoung's memories. Two positive memories sandwiched every negative memory in the corridor, creating a much healthier balance. They stared at each other for what seemed like a lifetime, feeing like they had finished the job but Jimin was still present and that meant the job had not yet been quite finished. Both of them looked around, trying their best to see if they could fine the demon anywhere but all they came across with was a hunched over figure just a few feet away. They could hear sobs and watched as the body trembled with emotion. Jimin carefully shielded Chaeyoung before approaching the crying figure.

The hunched over figure seemed to be a frail-looking man with a balding head and a dirty navy suit. The younger ones were confused but when the man lifted up his head and turned to look at them Jimin recognized him in an instant. "I-It was you..." he whispered, unsure of what to do with his weak father sitting before him. The man got on his knees and crawled towards Jimin who immediately stepped back in case he had more stunts to pull. The man however just latched his hands around Jimin's ankles and cried. "J-Jimin is that?" Chaeyoung could only feel pity over the man who seemed to be crying his heart out by Jimin's feet. It was strange how she had garnered so much hate before but now it was all gone. It was as if she was internally at peace and she wanted to do nothing except return to a normal life with all of her friends.

Jimin stared at his father in confusion, waiting for the man to calm down before he spoke. Once the man was fully calm Jimin freed his ankles and crouched down to his level. "What do you have to say? You were the one that caused all this? Do you know how to go back?" The man raised his head and looked at his son for a bit before nodding. "You have to finish me off. Kill me and everything will end." Jimin stood immediately and backed away along with Chaeyoung who shook her head. "No. He can't do that..." The man turned to Chaeyoung and shook his head before pointing a finger at her. "It's not him who needs to do it. It's you. You are the one I had to claim. If you want it to end you need to kill me." Jimin was wary when the man stood up and staggered his way over.

Both watched as the man pulled something from his suit pocket and they gasped in unison when they saw a knife. "A deep cut is all it takes. I've done enough. I won't try anything again." Chaeyoung looked at Jimin with tears in her eyes but Jimin just smiled at her, silently telling her not to worry. The man before him was not his father no matter what he said. No innocent man would ever let himself become what he became and do what he did. An evil vessel was needed to create a much eviler being. Chaeyoung sighed and slowly limped towards the man with Jimin following closely behind. When she was near enough she reached out and grabbed the knife. She held the weapon with shaky hands, taking deep breaths to gain the courage to stab the man in front of her. One movement was all it would take and everything would go back to normal.

Chaeyoung readied the knife in her hands, completely committing to the action of stabbing Jimin's so called father. Before she could do so however the man had started to speak, his words directed at Jimin who was watching him closely. "Before I disappear completely, I just want to say that I am sorry. I know my words don't mean anything to you but I truly am. I truly wish I could have been a better person for you and Jihyo. I don't deserve either of you but I still love you nonetheless. You are just as brave as her. I hope you have a wonderful life." Jimin just nods at his words, biting his bottom lip before saying, "I wish you would have been a better person too." Jimin's father nods then looks over at Chaeyoung who he only bows to before saying, "I'm sorry for everything, please take care of each other."

"You can do it, Chaeyoung. It's time for this to end." Jimin put a comforting hand on her shoulder and she smiled at his words. "Alright." She was about to impale the knife into the man's body but before she could do so the man had thrown Jimin far away and had his hands wrapped around Chaeyoung's neck in an instant.

(A/N: WARNING: STRANGLING GIF BELOW)

His eyes were gleaming red and he laughed maniacally as his hold on her neck tightened. "YoU sHoUlDn'T bE sO tRuStInG!" Chaeyoung's legs gave out and both her and the man strangling her fell down to their knees. Due to the force the man had suddenly applied Chaeyoung had dropped the knife. She was gasping for air, face turning a nasty shade of purple. The tips of her fingers were searching around until she finally made contact with the sharp object. She quickly grabbed the knife as she could, slicing her fingers a bit in the process and with all the power she could muster she impaled knife on the man's back. She pulled the knife away and impaled the sharp object again and again until the man's grip on her neck ceased and he staggered back.

"Chaeyoung!" Jimin limped his way towards her, and rapidly moved her as far away from the man as he could. He gave her some space as she regained her ability to breathe better. Once Chaeyoung had calmed down and was managing to breathe a bit she leaned against Jimin, hugging him tight. Jimin held onto her lovingly, his hands caressing her soft hair. Both turned to look back at the man who was screaming in agony while lying on the floor. His body was convulsing and tar-like goo was oozing out of him. After a few seconds of lashing out, the man fell limp. He didn't make any noise until they heard one final whisper saying, "you win." The man then disappeared along with the knife and the black goo as if he had never existed. Chaeyoung and Jimin breathed a sigh of relief and turned to look at each other with the biggest grins on their faces. "It's o-over...I can't believe it..."

Chaeyoung was feeling light and free with an indescribable joy bubbling in her system. She couldn't hold it in as she threw herself onto Jimin and kissed him repeatedly. "Thank you! Thank you! You were my guardian angel, Jiminie." Jimin chuckled and pressed their foreheads together, nuzzling his nose against Chaeyoung's lovingly. He suddenly felt like he was being pulled away and he knew it was time; his body was calling for him. "I'll see you on the other side, Chaengie." They shared one more kiss before Jimin was expelled from Chaeyoung's body.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Jimin's eyes shot open and he gasped for air, sitting up only to find himself back in the mansion. His eyes immediately darted to the side where Chaeyoung was still lying just as motionless as she had been before. Jimin lifted his damaged body and limped his way towards Chaeyoung. "C-Chaeyoung...it worked! W-we're back!" He had to wake Chaeyoung up and leave because by the state of the falling ceiling he knew the house was definitely going to come crumbling down. He knelt down and lightly caressed Chaeyoung's face only to hiss and move his hand away from Chaeyoung's ice-cold body. It was then that he noticed that her nostrils weren't flaring and her chest wasn't rising and falling. Panic completely took over him and he didn't care at all about the ceiling caving in on him at that moment. He had come back perfectly fine but Chaeyoung wasn't back and it wasn't like she was just unconscious because now she wasn't breathing. Jimin tried giving her CPR but it seemed hopeless. "CHAEYOUNG! NO! PLEASE WAKE UP!" His voice was desperate but his screams did nothing to awake the girl.

"Oh dear...Jimin-ah, what happened?" a voice he recognized almost immediately was heard behind him. Jimin turned rapidly, eyes bawling when he made eye-contact with his mother's comforting gaze. "E-Eomma? W-What are you doing here?" The woman smiled, ruffling her son's hair before approaching Chaeyoung's unresponsive body. "I had been devoured by the demon long ago but when you defeated him all the pure souls he ever swallowed were released all at once. I was accompanied by that bunny-looking ghost kid but he said he was going to find his brother so I came looking for you alone. Now tell me, what happened?" Jimin perked up knowing that Jungkook was actually okay but the smile he had went away in an instant and replaced with a sorrow-filled frown. He gave his mother a short version of what had happened and his mother instantly understood what was going on.

"Too many souls in one person is extremely dangerous, especially if they are there for a long period of time and they cause emotional distress...I'm sorry, Jimin-ah. I-I'm afraid Chaeyoung has passed." Jihyo lowered her head, mumbling a prayer while trying to tune out her son's wailing. Jimin couldn't accept it. There was no way they had gone through all that just to have Chaeyoung die. No way. Jimin rested his head on Chaeyoung's chest, his tears falling onto her beautiful satin dress. "You need to hurry and get her body out, my son. The house is going to cave in and both of you will be buried here. Jimin shook his head, his eyes burning from his tears. He didn't care about anything anymore. It didn't matter when his worst fear had already come true.

Just as his mother's begging got louder and the rumbling in the mansion got worse, Jimin's eyes opened wide when he felt movement coming from Chaeyoung's chest. He moved away thinking he was going insane but when he saw her nostrils flaring and her chest rising and falling he knew that Chaeyoung had come back. Her eyes had yet to open but Chaeyoung was alive and for now that was all that mattered. "S-She's breathing!" Jihyo watched as Chaeyoung showed signs of life and her eyes watered with joy. "Oh my goodness...you strong girl." The celebration was cut short as half of the ceiling came down all at once, making Jimin almost cough out a lung. "You need to move, Jimin! Hurry!" Jimin listened to Jihyo's shouting this time and as he could he picked up Chaeyoung and headed for the exit.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The journey down had been horrible. Jimin wasn't in great shape and adding Chaeyoung's extra weight to the mix wasn't a big help. Jihyo helped guide him when a path was blocked and slowly but surely they made their way to the first floor. Jimin thought back to Detective Song and after scanning the area he wasn't sure whether the man was safe or he had been buried alive by all the rubble. He didn't have much time to think though as another part of the ceiling came crashing down too close for comfort. With the mansion only seconds away from crumbling down Jimin used the last bit of energy in his poor arms and legs to rush out the door and run as far away from the house as possible. He ran until his legs gave out and he was sent tumbling down to the ground with Chaeyoung who he still managed to cradle in his arms.

Despite their distance he could still feel the ground shaking and the gush of air that came from the hard impact of the mansion collapsing completely onto the ground. Jimin sighed in relief and he looked back down at Chaeyoung who was still not waking up but was breathing. Jimin felt an overwhelming feeling of tiredness rush over his body suddenly. His eyelids drooping down despite him trying his hardest to keep them up and maintain awake. He still had so much to do and people to find. He needed to see if Jin, Jungkook, and Detective Song were well and together. He still needed to speak some more with his mother before she disappeared again and he still needed to wait and see if Chaeyoung would open her eyes. However, no matter how much he wanted to force himself to stay awake his body was asking for rest and he was too weak to resist it. He could hear some voices call out to him from a distance but before he could distinguish the voices he had succumbed to darkness and the realm of sleep.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Jimin cursed himself when he woke up and looked at the time on his alarm clock. He had been sleeping later than usual due to all of the work shifts he had taken to keep himself busy and distracted from life so it was now a routine for him to wake up late as well. With a sigh he got up from bed and made his way to the bathroom. Once he was washed and ready he went back into his room to pick out something to wear. His hands were already on his closet door but his eyes wandered off to a calendar he had hanging on the wall. He approached it while holding onto the towel on his waist with one hand while the other grabbed a marked he had located nearby to specifically mark the calendar with. "August..." he whispered, crossing out yet another couple of days on the calendar that he hadn't been able to get to.

"It's already August...the time for new students..." Jimin was taken back to when he met Chaeyoung for the first time. He had seen her fall onto some grass and approached her. They had met again during orientation as he welcomed students to the university as part of the New Student Welcoming Committee. Then, they had met again in the same class as classmates. Thinking back to those times put a smile on his face. So much had happened since then and even though not all of it was good he still wouldn't change a thing about it. Except, for the fact that Chaeyoung had been in a coma ever since they escaped the collapsing mansion. It had been months and Chaeyoung had missed out on things like Lunar New Year and her birthday, all which he and the rest had decided to spend together with her.

He could still remember how excited he felt when he woke up and saw that Jin, Jungkook, Detective Song, and his mother were all present in the hospital room with him. Detective Song and Jin had sustained a couple of bad but not life-threatening injuries while fighting Park Haeun and Park Jinwoo. Both who disintegrated suddenly in the middle of their respective fights. It seemed like they had both been killed recently by the demon and had been used as puppets. Once the demon was destroyed the puppets withered away with him. Jin had been boasting about the fact that he had managed to free himself from Haeun's clutches and had held her off in battle using kitchen appliances. Detective Song then informed him later on how much Jin had screamed like a little girl while throwing anything he could possibly find in the kitchen at the woman to keep her away.

It was when the woman managed to land a hit on Jin's face that he went full crazy. He had apparently lunged himself at the woman and pulled her hair continuously while hitting her repeatedly with a frying pan. That was when Jungkook had chimed in saying how Jin was the reason Chaeyoung would throw kitchen appliances at him when he made her angry. When Jimin had questioned Jungkook about whether he was okay or not the ghost boy had chuckled and nodded his head. Jungkook had told Jimin that after being freed from demonic captivity he was given a choice. He could either rise to heaven or stay on earth. He said he didn't even think twice when he picked earth. He wanted to return to the mansion to help his brother because he felt like he could trust Jimin to protect Chaeyoung with his life. His mother had also been given the option but she had chosen that she would stay and visit on certain occasions so she would come and go as she pleased.

Jimin was happy to hear everyone's happy tale of how they made it out alive or safely but he found it really hard not to notice the person that was missing from his group. He had asked for Chaeyoung and everyone had gone dead silent. Detective Song let him know that the doctors had informed him that due to outside injuries and internal trauma they weren't sure when exactly Chaeyoung would wake up. She was stabilized but no positive outlook of her waking up soon was given. They had just informed them that her body needed rest, a lot of rest, and her body would wake up naturally when it saw fit. Jimin was devastated at first but after some time he came to terms with it and accepted the fact that he would have to wait. He was just happy that Chaeyoung was still alive. That Chaeyoung was still with them without the fear of a demon coming in at any second to take her soul.

And so, the months passed by and Jin transferred Chaeyoung from the hospital and into their house where Chaeyoung would be more comfortable when she woke up. All the equipment was set up in her old room and Jimin had visited her daily without fail. However, he continued to become less hopeful as time went on and it was hard for him to go visit when he kept working so much to keep his mind occupied. It had been exactly one month since his last visit and he felt horrible about it. He did call Jin every single day to see if there was anything new but he never got anything besides the usual response of "she's stable but hasn't shown signs of waking up." He would also ask Jin during work at the café to which he would just get the same reply.

Jimin sighed, shaking his head to rid himself of negative thoughts. He had to be feeling his peppiest today as a new batch of students were entering his university and as president of the New Student Welcoming Committee he had to make a good first impression. He quickly picked a random set of clothes from his closet and changed. He made sure to grab his phone from his bedside table, smiling down at the picture he had on set as his phone's lockscreen. He hadn't even known the exact date on which the picture was taken but Chaeyoung had taken it without his knowledge and when he saw it on his gallery he had to change his previous lockscreen to the new image immediately.

The smile on Chaeyoung's face brought life back into him and it showed him what he was trying so desperately to protect. Chaeyoung was recuperating after fighting long and hard. He had to stay with her every step of the way. He had to support her. He patted his cheeks slightly and huffed as he set his mind straight. He would visit Chaeyoung after he finished with his classes. He would bring her a huge teddy bear and speak to her for hours in an attempt to make up for lost time. He knew he wouldn't get a verbal response but he believed that Chaeyoung was still listening to him regardless. He pumped himself up and with a brand new genuine smile on his face Jimin headed out in search for a taxi.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It didn't take long to arrive to campus but he still had to rush since he was late after all. The old him would have never been late not even for a minute, but the current him was a lot more human than that. Jimin was flustered by the amount of people hanging around the campus entrance. He took a deep breath and squeezed his way through the abundance of people, trying his best to watch his feet as he passed. That didn't seem to work however since as soon as he managed to escape the mass of students and dashed for his life he ended up tripping on a pebble that he hadn't noticed. He landed onto the dusty ground quite impressively. He groaned in pain, squirming as he tried to lift himself off the ground. His clothes were messy and dirty but he didn't have time to go home and change. The new student orientation would start soon and he was already running behind schedule.

Jimin was just about to get up from the floor when he noticed some white sneakers planted right in front of him. "Hey, are you alright?" he heard someone ask, eyes turning into saucers when he recognized the voice as clear as day. Jimin was still out of it so the person squatted down and softly placed her hands on his shoulders. "Are you really making me squat down while wearing a skirt, Jiminie? You are such a pervert." The voice was soft with a playful edge. Jimin immediately snapped out of his daze when the warm hands on his shoulders squeezed lightly. "I'm sorry did I scare you? I just had to rush over when I saw you fall so elegantly. Are you okay? Do you think you can stand?" He could hear the smirk in her voice when she recited similar words to what he had asked her the first time they met under a very similar circumstance.

It didn't take much longer for Jimin to raise his head, eyes boring into the most gorgeously bright eyes he had ever seen in his life. The brown eyes of the girl in front of him were twinkiling with so much happiness and life that he almost didn't recognize her but he knew it was her. His heart had known since it heard her voice again. "C-C-Chaeyoung..." his eyes welled up with tears and he quickly got off the floor followed by the girl who stood up just as fast as him. Both just stared at each other for what seemed like eternity and the staring contest would have continued if it wasn't for a voice nearby that said, "just kiss or something before I barf!" Chaeyoung and Jimin glanced over at Jungkook, who was being yelled at by Jin, who was being stared at by the people walking by them. Their faces cracked into large grins and they broke out into laughter as they watched the two.

Jimin was the first to calm down from his much-needed laughter. He stared at Chaeyoung who was still laughing her heart off and he still couldn't believe it. His stomach was doing summersaults and his heart was practically begging to escape his chest from how hard it was beating. His cheeks hurt from so much smiling and after he had appreciated the girl in front of him enough he leaned closer towards her, wrapped his arms around her waist and then lifted her up into the air as he spun her around with joy. Chaeyoung wrapped her arms around Jimin's neck tightly. She pressed her forehead against his as he spun them around and suddenly kissed him on the lips making Jimin stop all his movements.

Chaeyoung smiled as Jimin kissed her back immediately, their lips gliding together at a sweet pace. They pulled away, cheeks ablaze when a bunch of people started to wolf-whistle at them. Chaeyoung felt incredibly shy but Jimin didn't want the moment to end so he ignored the crowd and pulled her into a much more passionate kiss that left Chaeyoung feeling flustered and absolutely breathless. Jimin pulled away with a smirk, eyes glued onto Chaeyoung's own as he bit his bottom lip. "I love you, Chaeyoung. You have no idea how much I've missed you. I'm glad you're awake." Chaeyoung bit her bottom lip before leaning in and pecking Jimin's playful smirk. "I love you too, Jiminie. You have no idea how much I've missed you either. I tried so hard to wake up until I did but you weren't there." Jimin felt so guilty but Chaeyoung just laughed and kissed him all over his face before staring at him lovingly.

"But then I heard your desperate calls to see how I was and I could practically feel how badly everything was affecting you so I understood. It must have been difficult but I'm here now. You aren't going to get rid of me that easily." Jimin nodded, stealing a few more kisses from Chaeyoung's sweet lips before finally pulling away and settling for holding Chaeyoung's hand with their fingers intertwined, their respective rings glistening in the sunlight. Their hands were swinging between them as they walked towards Jin and Jungkook. "Hey, by the way, what are you doing on campus?" Jimin asked, feeling like he was forgetting something important. Chaeyoung paused and looked up at him with a smirk and a playful glint in her eyes. "Ohh, that's right. I reapplied for the university and got in so I came to attend the new student orientation...which was supposed to be about half an hour ago. Oops, sorry for distracting you...Mr. President."

Jimin's body shut down as Chaeyoung's words replayed in his mind. He was super excited about the fact that Chaeyoung had re-entered university but then he realized that he was not only late to the new student orientation, he had actually missed half of the dang orientation that he was supposed to conduct. His eyes slowly met Chaeyoung's gleaming orbs while she raised her hands and shrugged her arms. It took Jimin exactly three seconds to react and take in the situation. "O-Oh...OH MY GOODNESS, I'M SO LATE!" Chaeyoung was laughing so hard when Jimin took a hold of her hand and dragged her away from the confused pair of brothers. "Bye guys! I'll see you after school!" She waved at them with her free hand, cheeks hurting from all her smiling. She turned to a panicked Jimin who kept mumbling "I'm dead. I'm dead. I'm so dead. Seulgi is going to strangle me and then eat me for dinner, I'm so dead." Chaeyoung's heart was bouncing with joy as she stared at Jimin's face. She had never felt so complete while looking at another person but she was happy she felt it now. Chaeyoung suddenly stopped walking making Jimin stop as well. He turned to her with a look of confusion but it all washed away when he saw her pucker her lips at him in a silent pleading gesture.

"Chaeyoung we're late." Chaeyoung continued to pucker her lips at him making Jimin lose it. "Ah, what the heck." He wrapped an arm around Chaeyoung's waist while the other held her hand with the glistening ring they had gifted each other. He pulled her close and gazed upon her eyes before pulling her into a kiss that expressed just how much she meant to him. Just how precious she was to him. Just how much he treasured her. "I love you, Park Chaeyoung." he whispered, lips brushing against her lips. "I love you too, Park Jimin." Chaeyoung replied, nuzzling her nose lovingly against his before kissing his lips one last time and running full speed ahead towards orientation and towards a better future for the both of them.

Author's Note:

OH MY GOODNESS!

Well, that's it.

I am actually done with my almost two year old book.

I hope you guys enjoyed this as much as I enjoyed writing it.

As I've said before, I had a lot of ups and downs while working on this story (more downs than ups but that's okay) so it was hard for me to finish this because things always came up.

To those that have been here since the beginning, thank you so much for believing in me and my story...I've made you guys wait a long time haha sorry.

To those that are new, thank you for taking an interest in my story and I hope you enjoy it very much.

This is my first baby and I'm so very proud of it.

I don't know if anyone will read this author's note but if you do I just want to say thank you again and I love you very much. 💖☺️🥰

Bye Bye~
