Jimin held onto the weak girl tightly for only a couple seconds before Jungkook quickly moved into action and brought her into his arms. He carefully carried her towards one of the sofas located in the living room, trying his best to hold onto his tears as he watched her sink through the furniture when he put her down. Jimin was quick to move as well, going straight to the living room to help a panicking Jungkook. Jin remained by the door, staring out at the raging storm going on outside, a bit of water hitting his face as the wind grew stronger. He slowly moved back and closed the door, hand pressed against the wooden surface in an attempt to support himself. He pressed his body closer towards the door, Jimin and Jungkook's voices ringing in his head as they called out Chaeyoung's name.

Jin slowly turned his head, eyes falling onto the two individuals hovering above a ghostly Chaeyoung. He shakily moved forward, eyes focused on the two males as he approached them step by step. His steps grew heavier the closer he seemed to get, eyes trained on the helpless expressions of the two boys. He didn't want to look down yet. He wasn't ready to face what was happening. He was too scared to know what was going on. Not only were his footsteps heavy as he approached them but his heart was too. It pounded heavily in his chest, threatening to rip itself out of his body. He felt like he was in some sort of nightmare, as if what was currently happening wasn't happening at all. There's no way. W-we were so close. We just n-needed more time. W-what's going on? She went straight through me! Jin pulled at his hair as all sorts of thoughts swarmed his brain.

Before he even realized it, he had fallen to his knees in front of the see-through girl. He had tears sliding down his cheeks that he hadn't been aware of before. "H-Hyung..." Jungkook whispered, voice barely audible. Jin couldn't hear anything though as he reached out a trembling hand towards Chaeyoung's pale face. She looked peaceful. Jimin remained quiet at the side, eyes stinging from his continuous silent tears. Everyone was confused, everyone was scared, and everyone didn't know what to do. "C-Chaeyoung-ah..." Jin muttered softly, holding back a sob as his hand that used to playfully pull on her chubby cheeks had completely went straight through.

"N-no...No...NO! Not you too! T-this can't be happening to me!" Jin's once soft voice had grown loud as he went into hysterics, moving away and violently shrugging away Jimin's comforting hand. Jin was hyperventilating, broken sobs leaving his lips as he sank to the floor. He cradled his body in his arms, rocking himself back and forth as he shook his head in denial. Jungkook tried to talk to his hyung but it was as if Jin was in a state where nothing around him existed. "J-Jungkookie...C-Chaeyoungie...t-they're gone! ALL GONE!" Jimin looked away from his hyung, unable to handle his usually cheerful hyung look so utterly broken. The room was a mess of sobs and yells that seemed to have finally gained the attention of Detective Song as he came rushing down the stairs in a silky black pajama set and a soft gray robe that Jin had provided him with.

"What the heck is going on here?!" he questioned, quickly approaching the hysterical Jin who was still rocking himself while mumbling nonsense. "She's gone...she's gone...w-we were too late." Song Seungheon crouched down to Jin's level, carefully placing his hands on the trembling man's shoulders before shaking him gently. "Kim Seokjin-ssi you have to calm down. What's going on? Who's gone? What do you mean we were too late?" The detective looked up towards Jimin who was standing nearby but the younger boy looked away immediately, eyes tired and threatening to spill more tears than they already had.

Before Detective Song could get out another word a sudden screech pierced through the room, making everyone present cover their ears and groan in pain. "W-what the hell i-is that?" Seungheon grunted, trying to block the sound as much as he could before he tumbled to the ground. The once still and motionless ghostly figure that had been hovering on the sofa was now a full thrashing and screeching mess. Her arms flailed around as if trying to reach for something to ground her. Her eyes were wide open and fully white as they rolled to the back of her head. Jungkook who had recovered a bit from her screaming immediately hovered over her, placing his arms around her violently thrashing body.

Jungkook received a few hits and scratches from the rabid Chaeyoung who was stuck inside her own head but he didn't even budge. He just held her tighter, whispering sweet words of comfort as he tried to knock some sense into her. Gradually, her screeching and violent movements ceased and she became nothing but a limp and whimpering figure in Jungkook's arms. Jungkook raised a hand to softly brush his fingers through her hair, sinking his head into the crook of her neck as he inhaled softly. The sweet scent Chaeyoung possessed was no longer there and neither was the usual warmth he loved feeling on his cold ghostly skin. He shut his eyes and quietly sobbed into her shoulder, his whimpers having an effect on the limp girl as she slowly wrapped her arms around his back. "I-I'm so sorry...I'm so sorry, Chaeyoung. W-we failed you...I...I failed you." he whispered, words coming out in stutters due to his tears.

Jimin removed his hands from his ears and unsteadily walked in the direction of the embraced pair. He was mentally and emotionally exhausted but none of that compared to how Jin must have been feeling when he stopped to turn back to look at him. Jin looked absolutely shattered, eyes were dark and soulless but the rims a vivid red that made a harsh contrast against his now sickly pale skin; he looked like he was on the brink of a mental breakdown. His hair was a complete disheveled mess from how much he had pulled on it and his lips were bleeding from how roughly he had bitten them. He looked absent-minded, his soulless eyes blankly staring in the direction of Chaeyoung and Jungkook.

Detective Song roughly stood up from the ground, eyes darting towards the direction everyone else in the room seemed to be eyeing. His frustrations grew with the increased silence after such an unsettling screech had made everyone collapse all of a sudden. Both Jin and Jimin seemed out of it, as if they were in some sort of trance, staring directly at a spot by one of the sofas. He bit his bottom lip roughly and made his way towards the area. He swung his arms around as he walked, trying to divert the other two men's eyes from their trance and onto him intead. "Can you to get a damn grip?! I need answers and I need them now!" Seungheon was growing more furious by the second, arms swinging even more rapidly as he came into the exact spot where Jin and Jimin were focused on.

As soon as he stepped on the spot his whole body froze and a cold sensation filled his body. "I-I'm not dead...yet." Chills ran down his spine, the hair on the back of his neck stood up. The voice he had just heard sounded so familiar. It was an eerie sounding whisper. A whisper that seemed so far away yet so close at the same time. He felt a tiny puff of air against his right ear as if someone was truly leaning against him and had whispered into it. His whole body convulsed into shudders and he immediately swatted whatever the coldness was away. He looked around the room, eyes darting to the two men that remained as still as stone a few feet away. Anger suddenly filled him once again and he strutted toward Jimin, grabbing a fistful of the poor boy's sweater. "Tell. Me. What. Is. Going. On. Right. Now." he barked, shaking the distracted boy a little. Jimin's eyes slowly moved away from whatever he was looking at and bored into his. His lips were quivering and his eyes were getting watery. The pale face he had been sporting was suddenly becoming a soft pink as he released his tears. "C-Chaeyoung is here...s-she's right behind you."

Detective Song glared into Jimin's brown eyes, unable to believe the lies coming from his mouth. "Park Chaeyoung is missing! You need to snap out of it, Park Jimin. I don't know what kind of hysteria you and Kim Seokjin have gone under but you both need to snap out of it. If you start hallucinating and speaking nonsense like this then you will be of no use and you'll push back finding Park Chaeyoung even further!" Once he was done yelling at Jimin he glanced at Jin who was pointing a shaky finger behind Detective Song.

Song Seungheon raised a brow in confusion and frustration, still tightly holding onto Jimin's sweater with a furious fist. He sighed, deciding it was finally time to turn around and see what they were yet again so focused on. He froze. The cold feeling came back and another eerie whisper made itself clear. "I-I am Park Chaeyoung." With that he turned around wide eyed, managing to see a glimpse of the girl he once remembered before he took a step back and collapsed to the ground on top of Jimin.

"H-how in the world?" He hated when he sounded weak and disconcerted but he was staring straight at Park Chaeyoung. A Park Chaeyoung that was almost completely transparent. She was fading slightly, a pained expression on her face as if she was exerting extreme effort. "Y-you.....you all h-have to listen to me. I-I don't know how but I m-managed to force my soul o-out of my body....I d-don't know h-how much time I-I have left. I've been out for a f-few days I'm g-guessing." She looked down at her hands and watched in horror as they disappeared completely for a few seconds before coming back again.

She then looked back at the detective who was still on the ground on top of a pained Jimin. Chaeyoung tried to regain some more energy that she didn't have before speaking again. "I'm not sure how you can see me...maybe it's because I really wanted you to but you won't be able to see me the whole way. I-" she grunted in pain, body curling into itself as she faded in and out. Jimin shoved the detective off of him and was by Chaeyoung's side in an instant.

He wrapped an arm around her waist, trying to give the fading girl a bit of support. His heart pounded wildly in his chest and he had a bit of trouble breathing. The whole situation was terrifying to him yet he felt a bit of relief to know that Chaeyoung was alive at least. However, Chaeyoung didn't look good at all and he knew that time was critical. Jin finally managed to regain some composure as well and rapidly made his way to the curled-up girl. "Tell us, Chaeyoung. Tell us what we can do." he demanded.

The detective was looking at the whole situation with complete disbelief, the same feelings of insanity he had previously felt in his wife's situation returning. The same feeling of helplessness was returning too and he didn't know how to deal with it. This wasn't his area of expertise, hell, this wasn't the area of expertise of any of his men or women. He had never been one to believe in demons or anything like that but his experience with his wife led him to believe Jimin after a lot of contemplation. He had witnessed the crime scene in the hospital room, Park Jihyo had been legitimately split in half. She had indentations on her skin as if someone had grabbed her from one end and the other and just–snapped.

No matter how much he had wanted to believe it at first no human would ever be capable of doing that. Apart from that he had an almost transparent Park Chaeyoung who could barely even speak and was fading in and out of existence with each passing minute. No matter how unbelievable this was or how inexperienced he was in the matter he wouldn't let this girl die. No, he wouldn't let this girl be taken away like his precious Areum had been. That thing took the most precious soul and had transformed her into a monster that had destroyed itself before his very eyes. No trace of the person he once knew was left in the eyes of the person he had witnessed through CCTV footage.

Park Chaeyoung was still there though. She was fighting and she needed help. He didn't know what it was he could do but in the honor of Park Jihyo who fell victim to the demon he would help save Park Chaeyoung to destroy it once and for all. He sighed, rubbing his eyes and clearing his throat before he got up and stood in front of the weak girl. "Do you know the directions on how to get back? I don't need any other information just the coordinates. I'll send a team to follow after us but we need to move quick. You aren't looking too good." Chaeyoung couldn't hold back and launched herself forward in an attempt to hug the detective but had obviously gone straight through. The detective shivered and turned around but she was no longer present in his eyes. He looked around, panic sinking in him.

"Don't worry she is still here." Jimin said, holding onto a panting Chaeyoung who grasped onto him for dear life. To Song Seungheon it just looked like Jimin was holding onto thin air. "She probably used way too much energy to allow you to see her. She's spent but still conscious. Some people can see, hear, and touch, some people can see, some people can hear, some people can touch, but there are the majority that can't do anything. Don't worry." Jin informed, a small smile appearing on his tired face. Jungkook approached the bunch and gently patted Chaeyoung's head, making her move up to look at him and send him a small smile. She wiggled away from Jimin and turned to look at him seriously.

"Please tell him that I'm not sure the exact coordinates but I do know how to get there road by road. It's extremely hidden and a bit of a distance from here." She reached out and gripped his arm, eyes turning serious. "Park Haeun and Park Jinwoo are dangerous people, Jimin. Tell him the sick individuals abduct, erase the abducted people's existence from any database, and then kill them as offerings to the same demon that is going after me. They are dangerous people that are not easy to fool. Sick and twisted people that are obsessed with the idea of pretending to be a happy family. Also tell him that a detective by the name of Lee Dongwook was the one that brought me to them after being paid but he was sacrificed as an offering after getting too involved and trying to help me. I want him to promise me that he won't do anything crazy. I don't want any more people dying on my behalf...please." She leaned into him after she said the final word, wrapping her arms around him as tight as she could. "I can't lose anymore people. Even if I don't know them...the blood was shed because of their obsession with me...no more, please."

Jin and Jungkook looked at each other, eyes filled with horror and disgust after hearing what the people that called themselves Chaeyoung's parents had been up to. Jimin kissed the top of her head sweetly before turning to Detective Song who was awaiting any source of information. Jimin informed him of everything that Chaeyoung had said and he watched as the detective's face grew red with fury. Detective Song approached the nearest wall and punched it, leaning his head against it as he let out a quiet sob. Jin approached the man and patted him on the back as a way to comfort the crying man.

Song Seungheon had speculated the fact that Park Chaeyoung's parents were into shady business due to the fact that they had managed to erase any trace of evidence that they were her parents in the first place. However, he had never imagined they were ever actually involved in the disappearances. They had been in charge of kidnapping and killing so many people for such a sick and twisted game. A game that included a person he wished he had never lost contact with. A person who had not once treated him like he hadn't been family until he had watched his only true family die before their very eyes.

He banged his fists against the wall again before wiping his tears and turning to look at Jin and Jimin with blazing eyes. "Let's go. NOW!" Everyone scattered to get whatever they would possibly need before moving at lightning speed towards his vehicle. "Is Park Chaeyoung still here?" he asked, settling into the driver's seat. Jimin who was holding Chaeyoung close on the backseat along with Jungkook nodded. "Yes, she's here." The detective let out a sigh before adjusting his rearview mirror where he could clearly see Jimin. He turned to look at Jin who only gulped as he stared back at the man. "Alright, I have contacted a team to follow after us. This vehicle is equipped with a tracking device so they will know where we are at all times." He turned a screen above the radio and pressed a few options before turning to look at Jin and Jimin with a serious expression and warning in his eyes. "Listen, I know you guys care a lot about Park Chaeyoung and I'm sure she will agree when I say these next few words..." Chaeyoung sat up a bit straighter, her fingers gently caressed the ring on Jimin's finger when he pulled her closer to him.

Detective Song took in a deep breath before saying, "I don't know how exactly you guys plan to confront that demon but if whatever it is you guys are doing fails then I want you guys out of my way and let me take care of the aftermath. I'm not a demon-slayer but neither are you. You guys are still kids and I've lived my life. I know you care about your friend and want to be all noble and whatnot but don't. If for any reason things start to get too messy I will pull you out by force and will have you sent back immediately. As much as I want to be positive and think that everyone will be completely safe and unharmed, I can't. It would be a lie to say that. I've only alerted my team about the parents not a demon. If they witness it and decide to stay then we will give it our best shot to protect you and stop this. If any blood is going to spill it won't be any of yours. My team and I are trained professionals and are meant to protect the innocent. Don't try anything. I will have you taken home if things get too rough. Do I make myself clear?"

The atmosphere in the car had grown deathly silent but after a few minutes both guys agreed. Although, they knew that there was no way they could leave there despite their own safety being risked. They wanted to put an end to it once and for all. They were going to protect each other no matter what. Chaeyoung gulped and raised her head to look at Jimin. She pulled one of her hands away from his and lightly placed it on his cheek. "Jimin..." Jimin automictically heard her soft voice and his hard expression softened as he looked at her. His soft expression quickly darkened when he saw her grave expression. "W-what's wrong?" he whispered. Chaeyoung raised her head to give him a small peck on the lips before looking down for a second and then returning to gaze directly into his eyes. "I agree with what the detective said...somewhat. I don't care if his team or if even he is trained to protect. They don't know what they are up against....I want you to make a promise...I-If things get out of hand and you have the opportunity to leave even if something is going to happen to me...please do."

Chaeyoung could see the conflict in Jimin's eyes, the way his eyes instantly darkened in confusion and fear. She gave him a small smile before placing her other hand on his other cheek, cupping his face gently. "Promise me, Jimin. Despite the unfairness...my destiny is to die not yours or Jin oppa's. If everything goes to hell leave me. Just stop Park Haeun and Park Jinwoo but leave me there. Don't try anything. I'm already regretting bringing a whole lot of innocent people into the mix. I know I'm supposed to rely on others but not like this. This was my thing to deal with from the very beginning and I don't want to drag anyone else down either. I came desperately because I wanted to see you...now I did. I managed to see everyone even if it's for the last time. I've accepted my fate if worse comes to worse. Let's face it...we don't even know what we are gonna do when we get there. I can't find a way inside my body and I know I don't have much time...I'm fading. So, please promise me you'll keep yourself and Jin oppa away. Even Jungkook too please." She sounded so desperate and even though when Jimin glanced at Jungkook who shook his head 'no' Jimin had to say, "I promise." His eyes released a new batch of tears that Chaeyoung slowly started to kiss away. "Thank you. I love you, Jimin." Jimin tried to smile genuinely but it was too hard to do so. He just held Chaeyoung closer to his body with his left arm, said "I love you too" and held his right hand behind his back with his fingers crossed. I'm sorry, Chaeyoung. I can't promise you that. I'm all in no matter what.
