Chapter 28

Author's Note:

Hey guys!

Sorry if I worried anyone before.

Turns out my dog is alive and well actually!

It was midnight and my mom was in a haze so what she thought was a snake bite was actually a toad that spat on her (she never got close enough to my dog to really check if it was a snake bit. She just assumed since my dog was going crazy and kept collapsing).

While she still suffered greatly and almost died, we were lucky it wasn't a fatal venomous toad since those are common in Texas.

I cried so much and my eyes are swollen and burning like heck now since I also fell asleep pretty late.

I finished this chapter last night tho (it was a pretty good distraction tbh)

I poured all my emotions into this so I hope you like it. :)

Like I said, all is good now!

I'm okay :D

Enjoy!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The muffled ring of a phone awoke a sleeping Chaeyoung who groggily opened her eyes. Her vision was blurry, eyes squinting a bit to adjust to the sunlight washing over the room. She grumbled as she attempted to get up, but a heavy weight was preventing her from doing so. Instead, she just turned her head, a light smile on her lips when she was met with Jimin's sleeping face. He looked so peaceful, lips twitching upwards as he unconsciously snuggled closer.

Chaeyoung sighed in content, squirming around until she managed to release a hand and lightly placed it on his rosy cheek. Jimin leaned into her touch, lips parting to release a soft sigh as her thumb lovingly caressed his skin. She gushed at the sight, thoughts of yesterday's events filling her mind. "Boyfriend..." she quietly whispered, getting lost in the male in front of her. The ringing phone that awoke her completely forgotten in that moment.

Chaeyoung pressed her forehead against his, closing her eyes in an attempt to go back to sleep when the room became silent. Just as she was about to enter a peaceful slumber, the ringing of the phone started up again. It sounded unbearable against the quiet atmosphere of the house, almost as if it was shrieking. "Ugh...what the hell? Turn that thing off." Jungkook groaned, leaving Jin's side when the phone became too annoying.

Chaeyoung turned back to look at a grumpy Jungkook before she carefully shrugged her way out of Jimin's hold and sat down beside him, knees up against her chest. She rubbed at her dry eyes, looking up to see a pouting Jungkook with his arms crossed over his chest as he waited for her to turn off the ringing device. Chaeyoung shook her head in amusement, deciding to tease the ghost boy a bit by taking the time to look around to see the mess created while her and Jimin were out. Her back was against the couch that Seulgi was knocked out on and she couldn't help but let out a little giggle. She then turned to Jin who was sprawled out on the floor not too far from her, tightly clutching the karaoke machine's microphone. Chaeyoung just raised an eyebrow at the older before finally deciding that the ringing phone was too much of a nuisance to ignore any longer. She didn't want it to wake up any of the others considering how much of a grumpy child Jungkook looked like currently.

Once Jungkook helped her get up from the floor, she looked around for the phone that had rudely woken them up. She could hear the muffled ring closer now as she crouched down, picking up a Santa hat that lay on the floor to reveal the hidden ringing item. "Jimin's phone?" she muttered, picking the small device up and looking at the number displayed on the screen. "It's too early for this." Jungkook whined, pressing his weight against Chaeyoung's back. She didn't want to invade Jimin's privacy by answering his phone without permission, but when she looked back to see him all curled up she just couldn't bring herself to wake him up. "I guess I'll just get this since it might be important." she whispered. Not wanting to disturb everyone that was currently knocked out, she and Jungkook moved away to the kitchen to take the call.

"Hello?" she answered, her voice quiet enough to not disturb but loud enough to be heard from the phone. "Hello, I am Detective Song and I want to speak to Park Jimin-ssi, son of Park Jihyo-ssi." A rough voice demanded, sending shivers down Chaeyoung's back. Detective? She nervously glanced at Jungkook who just gave her a shrug and a small smile of reassurance. She wasn't sure why her heart was beating so fast, but the man's serious tone and status automatically made her blood run cold.

"Uhm, this is Park Chaeyoung...his girlfriend. Jimin isn't available right now. Did something happen?" Chaeyoung cursed herself for blushing when she mentioned being his girlfriend, but she couldn't help the fact that she wasn't used to saying it out loud yet. Jungkook playfully shoved her, surprised the two had finally become official. "Chaeyoung?" she heard the man repeat her name followed by some mumbling between him and someone else, leaving her utterly confused. "I'm going to need you and Park Jimin-ssi to come to the hospital immediately. Something has happened to Park Jihyo-ssi but we cannot tell you over the phone. Please come to the hospital immediately." he repeated, ending the call right after. Chaeyoung felt her heart stop, knees buckling under her. Jungkook immediately caught a falling Chaeyoung whose color drained from her skin. "Chaeyoung, what happened?" he asked, worry and concern clear in his tone.

"J-Jimin..." Chaeyoung stuttered. Jungkook just raised an eyebrow in confusion before he was pushed away. He watched as Jimin's phone fell from Chaeyoung's hand while she stumbled her way to the living room where the rest still peacefully slept. Chaeyoung collapsed right beside Jimin, trembling hands stretching out with the intent to shake him awake. She had a horrible feeling in her gut and she was afraid that once she awoke Jimin and they headed to the hospital, they would be greeted with terrible news. "I-I can't do it..." she stated, retracting her hand from the sleeping male.

"What the heck is going on, Chaeyoung?" Jungkook questioned, annoyed that he couldn't calm the girl down since he didn't know what was going on. Chaeyoung raised her head and met his worried gaze with watery eyes. "S-something happened to Jimin's eomoni...W-what if it's something really bad? H-he's suffered so much already." She curled into herself as she placed her head down on her knees. Jungkook sighed and lowered himself down to her level, placing a gentle hand above her head. "Even if something bad did happen. You can't keep something this important from him. Tell him now, Chaeyoung. He deserves to know immediately if something happened to his eomma." Jungkook's voice accompanied by his touch soothed Chaeyoung's nerves in no time. She took a deep breath before she raised her head, sending a little smile Jungkook's way just before she turned to the sleeping Jimin.

"Jimin...wake up. We need to go to the hospital immediately. Y-your eomoni..." Chaeyoung's voice was too soft so Jimin only stirred in his sleep, scooting closer to the trembling girl. Chaeyoung took another deep breath, both hands shaking the sleeping boy this time. "Jimin, wake up. Something happened to your eomoni." Her words were definitely heard as Jimin sat up in a rush, his head spinning from the sudden movement. He held his head for a couple of seconds before he turned to Chaeyoung, panic and confusion clear in his expression. "W-what did you say?" Jimin asked, his heart pounding wildly in his chest. Chaeyoung gulped down the giant lump in her throat before calmly explaining what happened.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Jimin froze when she finished the explanation, his mind and heart were rushing a million miles per second, but he couldn't physically move an inch. He let everything settle in before he managed to turn his head, eyes landing on a familiar boy he thought he would only ever see in pictures. "J-Jungkook-ssi?" Jimin muttered, startling Jungkook and Chaeyoung at the same time. Panic settled between them when they realized what Jimin seeing Jungkook could possibly mean. In an instant, everyone was up and rushing towards Jin's car in fear.

Jimin was a hyperventilating mess as he sat at the back with Seulgi who tried to calm him down since she was medically trained to deal with these situations. Chaeyoung felt utterly useless when she glanced back to see Seulgi holding the trembling boy. She thought she would be ready to help him if something were to ever happen, but she wasn't capable of it after all. She looked away from the pair, nails digging roughly against her skin due the tightness of her clenched fists.

Chaeyoung did make some attempts to comfort Jimin by saying a couple of calming words and even reaching her hand out to let him know he wasn't alone. However, Jimin just clung to Seulgi, her words never reaching his rapidly racing mind and her hand left hanging. Chaeyoung would be lying if she said that she wasn't hurt, but she knew Jimin wasn't in the right state of mind. She understood and sucked her feelings up, Seulgi sending her a sad smile to make her feel better. Just as Chaeyoung was about to turn away, a thought suddenly popped up in her mind.

Why did the detective ask me to come along as well? Am...am I somehow involved? she thought, her mind running with all the possibilities of where exactly she stood in the situation. "P-probably for moral support..." she whispered, trying to convince herself that Jihyo was fine and that she was in no way involved. Chaeyoung's eyes met Jungkook's wide ones who was still shocked that Jimin could see him. Jimin's eomoni is okay...seeing Jungkook means nothing. I'm sure Jimin just awoke his ability from shock...she's okay...

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The journey to the hospital was longer than any of them would have liked but they had to stop every once in a while as Jimin kept throwing up due to anxiety. Once they made their way to the hospital, Chaeyoung was glued to Jimin's side. She held him up and practically dragged him all the way to the elevator once Jin had talked to the people at the desk. They had gotten their identities confirmed and were instantly given permission to proceed to Jihyo's floor.

Jimin was pressing all his weight against her, eyes closed and lips spouting out nonsense in an attempt to snap himself out of whatever nightmare he thought he found himself in. Just yesterday they were all smiles and giggles as they spent a lovely afternoon with Jihyo but now both of them were afraid. Jimin hadn't spoken to anyone since he entered the car. He just kept mumbling and clinging onto anyone that happened to be near him.

Everyone was dead silent when the elevator door opened, revealing an abundance of police officers roaming the halls. Chaeyoung gulped, heart painfully pounding against her ribcage. They walked out of the elevator, Chaeyoung dragged Jimin with a grunt. Jin walked to them and offered to take Jimin off her hands but she shook her head. No matter how painful dragging his weight around had become. If her words couldn't reach him then she at least wanted to physically be there for him now that they were mere feet away from knowing what was going on. Usually, she would have been fine since she was pretty strong, but she didn't feel emotionally nor physically well at the moment. She had even stumbled a couple of times but still refused any assistance as she held onto Jimin and fixed herself up.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Chaeyoung gulped and ducked her head down whenever a police officer looked their way, it became much worse when they finally reached the area right outside of Jihyo's room. The area was cleared out of staff and patients as the police took it upon themselves to cover the place with caution tape. It looked like a scene straight out of those criminal investigation shows and Chaeyoung couldn't help but fall to her knees, dragging Jimin along with her.

The police officers guarding Jihyo's closed room door quickly came to assist the two that had become deathly pale. Jin and Seulgi bowed their heads as they stood at the side along with Jungkook who hovered behind them, everyone feeling the tension in the atmosphere. As if something as simple as words could snap and break the two young ones, especially Jimin who was now desperately yelling at a police officer and demanding to see his mother.

"E-eomma! E-eomma! It's me, Jiminie! Let me see my eomma!" he shrieked, expressions of sympathy surfacing on the police officers faces. Chaeyoung clung to the police officer holding her up, her eyes stinging with tears as she watched Jimin breakdown. She wanted to just pull away from the figure holding her and embrace Jimin tightly, whispering sweet words of hope. Unfortunately, her body had other plans as she felt like all the energy she had was drained out of her body, preventing her from even standing up on her own.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Everyone was somber and time seemed to slow down even more when the police officers took them to some chairs as they waited for Detective Song to emerge from within Jihyo's room. Chaeyoung pulled Jimin close to her, holding him like he was the most fragile and precious thing in the world. She harshly bit her bottom lip to prevent her own sobs from coming out. She felt incredibly upset and her heart and mind were whirling with emotions, but she had to be strong for Jimin. She wanted to prove to herself that she could help him through this without being weak. Chaeyoung had already shed multiple tears before but now that they were about to face the truth of the situation, she needed to be there for him. She needed to be strong until the end.

Jin was holding onto a crying Seulgi who couldn't control her emotions any longer after having been the most calm throughout the journey. Seulgi had tried to calm Jimin the whole ride so she didn't have time to think things through until she was finally left alone to process what was happening. Jin just pulled her close, a hand on the small of her back while the other patted her head lightly. They were taken to some chairs further away from Jimin and Chaeyoung, not allowed to be too near Jihyo's room. Detective Song had specifically asked for Jimin and Chaeyoung only so Jin and Seulgi would not be allowed into the room, which both didn't mind.

Chaeyoung was so focused on Jimin that she jumped a little when she suddenly felt a gentle hand on her back. "You are trying so hard to be strong in front of him that your lip is bleeding from holding in your sobs. Don't be a fool and blindly hurt yourself either, Chaeyoung. You are a human who needs comforting in these situations too. Go ahead and cry a little...I won't tell anyone." Jungkook leaned down and placed a light kiss on the top of her head before humming a familiar melody while stroking her hair. It had been a very long time since Jungkook did that for her and it was Chaeyoung's trigger as her past decision was instantly shattered. Tears streamed down her cheeks in an instant as she hunched over Jimin, her own broken sobs mixing with his. The situation was too real and for a split second she thought back to Jungkook's accident before Jimin placing his face near her neck brought her back to reality.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Finally, after what seemed like an eternity, a man with a rough looking appearance and the lingering scent of musky cologne came to greet them. He was wearing white gloves that were tainted with the faintest hint of dried up blood. Chaeyoung wanted to faint, she wanted to just pass out and forget this was all happening. She looked up at the man who held a stoic expression. She looked into his dark eyes, searching for the tiniest glint of reassurance that everything wasn't as bad as they thought. The tiny glint of reassurance never appeared and every shred of hope Chaeyoung held in her heart disappeared when the detective gave Jimin his condolences.

Chaeyoung thought that the previous sounds of Jimin crying were the most hurtful thing she had ever heard. But the sobs that escaped from his mouth as soon as the detective said, "I'm sorry, Jimin-ssi. Your eomoni is the victim of an assumed first-degree murder. We sincerely give you our condolences." were possibly the most heartbreaking sounds Chaeyoung would ever hear in her entire life.

Jimin broke out of Chaeyoung's arms and rushed to the door but was stopped midway by a police officer. Jimin flailed in his arms, hands hitting the officer in order to free himself. "E-eomma! Y-you're alive right? This is a j-joke, right? TELL ME YOU ARE JOKING!" he demanded at the top of his lungs. The officer took what Jimin lashed out, sorrow-filled eyes watched the younger boy until another police officer pulled him away from him and managed to restrain him.

Jimin was struggling against the man's hold but before the police officer could assert to more physical restraints, Chaeyoung found some strength in her legs and ran towards them. "L-let me have him." she demanded, staring the police officer dead in the eye with her puffy eyes. The man released a sigh before pushing Jimin in Chaeyoung's direction. She caught him easily, arms protectively wrapping around his trembling body. "Shh, calm down. They won't let us see her if we aren't calm. You need to control yourself and then you can see your eomoni, okay?" her words were extra soft, almost as if she was speaking to a very young child.

Jimin's loud wailing soon became nothing but mere sniffles as he buried his face deeper into the crook of Chaeyoung's neck. "I-I love you, Chaeyoung." he managed to mutter, his hands gripping onto the back of the thick sweater she was wearing. "I-I'm more calm now." Everyone around the couple stared in astonishment as they saw Jimin quickly pull himself together after having a series of breakdowns just minutes before. Chaeyoung pulled him away and gave him a light kiss on the cheek before she walked him back to the seat they were at previously. Both held onto each other tightly as if they feared someone would break them apart.

Detective Song cleared his throat before cautiously speaking to the two again. "I see that you are in a much more stable condition now. I know this must be difficult for you but this is currently an investigation and we need your help. If you are well enough, please follow me and I will explain the situation as well as your involvement further." The man eyed Chaeyoung when he said the last part making her gulp and her heart drop. They took a few deep breaths, looking back towards Jin and Seulgi who only gave them a little nod. Jungkook went back to stay close to Jin, sending a small smile Chaeyoung's way. Jimin's eyes lingered on Jungkook before he turned back and walked with Chaeyoung into his mother's room.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

To say that they were shocked would be a complete understatement. The room was a complete disaster and it made both of their bodies freeze. They could see a bit of dried blood drops on the floor and they feared what they would see if they moved any further. "As you can see, whoever came into the room really messed it up. It is a surprise that no one outside in the halls managed to hear what happened in here." Detective song gently pushed the two further in, their eyes landing on different things. Jimin ran to his mother's covered body, an officer holding him back so he wouldn't touch the corpse.

Meanwhile, Chaeyoung took a couple of steps back when she saw the bloody writing on the wall that somehow reminded her of something in her past. Chaeyoung felt her head pound and a wave of dizziness hit her as she stared at the writing that said, "Who's next, Chaeyoung?" She placed her hands over her ears as a loud ringing attacked her. She shook her head but sudden images of her as a child came rushing in. Bed by the balcony...room destroyed...blood on the wall...blood on the wall..."Time to play, Chaengie..." she whispered, she could see spots of black in her vision and a wet sensation rushed down her nose.

"Park Chaeyoung? Park Chaeyoung, answer me!" it took her a while to realize she was being shaken by Detective Song who had his hands on her shoulders. She removed her hands from her ears now that they had stopped ringing and brushed a finger across her runny nose, dazedly gazing at the blood she had cleared away. "Park Chaeyoung, what happened? Why did you react like that? You are the Chaeyoung the writing is referring to, correct? If you can give us any information regarding who could have done this, anything at all...please speak now." The desperation in his voice was clear but all Chaeyoung could do was look up at him in clear daze.

Her eyes slowly looked away from him and onto Jimin's own eyes who looked at her with a variety of emotions; one of them being fear. That specific emotion snapped her out of her daze because it wasn't fear for her...it looked like it was fear of her. "J-Jimin...I..." Jimin's eyes became dull as he turned away and looked up at the writing on the wall then back at her again.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

His body was trembling, eyes burned from shedding so many tears, heart was completely shattered into a million pieces. He was just so confused he didn't know what to do with himself. At first, he was destroyed because his mother lay on the bed after some bastard murdered her with cold-blooded hands. Seeing her actual covered body before him as well as all the blood that had dripped its way down the sheets and onto the floor made him finally realize that she was truly gone. She was snatched away from him so soon when just the day before she was smiling so brightly.

His eyes burned with the will to cry when he saw the character pillow Chaeyoung had given her thrown on the floor with dried blood staining the pillow's face, but he could no longer produce tears. He felt numb. After having cried so much outside, finally being in the presence of his dead mother surrounded by the blood and everything made his body shut down. His body still functioned enough to allow him to breathe but his emotions shut off momentarily.

He heard Detective Song yell at Chaeyoung and he wanted to push him away from her but he followed her hollow gaze upwards to the wall behind him and he felt emotions he thought lost quickly return. "Who's next, Chaeyoung?" was on exhibition for the world to see on the wall with what he assumed was his mother's blood. Now everything was crystal clear. It wasn't a cold-blooded human that murdered his mother. It was the demon that was after Chaeyoung's life. Sure, he had been attacked by it before but he never truly realized the grave reality of it all until now. His mother had been murdered by the demon just to prove a point. To play a sick game with Chaeyoung. It was sending a message. A message that it would kill anyone near her until her day came.

He felt a chill run through his skin and find its way to his bones. He felt sick. He felt angry. He felt sad. First was Jungkook. This time it was eomma. Who's next? Next could be Jin. Next could be Seulgi. Next could be...me. He was afraid. He turned back to stare at Chaeyoung who dazedly looked back at him and met his gaze. She was pale and her nose was bleeding, her eyes glazed over like if she wasn't really there mentally despite being there physically. Many emotions resurfaced as he stared at her but the strongest of them all was fear. I'm afraid, Chaeyoung. I will truly die if I stay by your side. I'm so afraid. We can all die. He heard her broken voice call out to him but he looked away and returned his gaze to the bloody writing before finally looking back at her.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Chaeyoung shrugged her way out of Detective Song's grasp and moved towards Jimin who only stared at her. She reached out a hand, her ring glistening with the light hitting the shiny metal. Right when she was about to touch Jimin's arm, he moved away from her. He had a pained expression that was filled with confusion and his own eyes widened when he realized what he had done. Chaeyoung's hand hovered for a second before immense hurt flashed across her face and she retracted her hand. She hugged herself tightly, fresh tears ready to spill at any moment. There it is. The hesitation. The pained expression. It's the same as the others. she thought.

"C-Chaeyoung, no. I-it's not what you think. I-I'm sorry...t-this is just so much that I wasn't really thinking clearly." Jimin's voice was hoarse from his previous yelling. He moved away from the police officer that had been holding him back and moved towards Chaeyoung but she instinctively moved away from him. "I-it's alright, Jiminie...I-it's okay to be scared...this is why I didn't want you near me in the first place. I-it hurts but I've been through this before. I-I'll leave you alone now."

Before anyone else had the chance to react, Chaeyoung dashed out of the room. Jin, Jungkook, and Seulgi were left flustered as they saw the sobbing girl head straight to the emergency exit stairs. "Chaeyoung!" they called out but they weren't heard as Chaeyoung disappeared behind the door in an instant.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Chaeyoung haphazardly ran down several flights of stairs, tumbling down and injuring herself quite a few times until she finally reached the first floor. She was scraped and limping but none of it hurt more than her aching heart. She exited the hospital quickly, head facing down to avoid the curious glances headed her way. She wasn't sure where she was headed but she felt like anything would be better than going back to the hospital at the moment.

She had so many thoughts going around in her head as she aimlessly walked around. This is good, Park Chaeyoung. Run away and never come back. If I do, someone else will get hurt. This is my curse brought upon me by my parents...parents...parents. I'm innocent...this is their fault. Chaeyoung's mind kept racing, previous negative emotions she had left in the past resurfacing yet again. I knew it was too good to be true. I don't hold it against him. Jimin had every right to be afraid of me... She looked down at her ring, making her hand into a fist and bringing it to her chest as large tears brimmed in her eyes. Every time she inhaled it was excruciatingly painful as cold air found its way into her tired lungs.

Chaeyoung sighed, eyes looking up towards the sky that had clouds darkening up just like her dark mood. It wants to rain now? Of course it does. She finally snapped out of her thoughts when the first drop of water hit her face. Despite the water and cold air, Chaeyoung continued to walk in the rain in peace until she took notice of a strange sound coming from behind her. She turned around, noticing a sleek black car going at a slow pace at a not too far off distance from her.

She thought it was strange, but she didn't want to make it a big deal as she continued to walk. Panic settled into her body when the car followed after her no matter what random turns she made. She was desperately trying to look for people but any sane individual was tucked away from the pouring rain. Chaeyoung ran like her life depended on it but the run was cut short when the car sped up and cut her off, making her slip and fall onto the cold dirty ground.

She groaned in pain, holding her aching side for a moment until she heard a car door slam. Forgetting the pain she felt, she quickly stood and eyed the stranger that had exited the vehicle. He was a tall man that was holding an umbrella and was dressed in a black suit with a long black coat and some black dress shoes. He was also wearing a large black hat that was tilted down, hiding his eyes from her view. The man just stood there as if he was evaluating her next move. Chaeyoung's panic slowly subsided as she scoffed and turned to limp away. She was confused and hurt so she didn't have time to deal with a stranger. She kept limping away until two names froze her in place. She slowly turned back to look at the man who had raised his hat giving her a full view of his facial features. "W-what did you just say?" she questioned, hugging her body for warmth.

Before the man answered her question, he opened the car door beside the driver's door and gestured for Chaeyoung to come in. "Park Jinwoo and Park Haeun have sent me to get you. I am Detective Lee Dongwook. I'm sorry if I have frightened you or caused you discomfort. I was specifically instructed not to inform you of my existence until they were ready. Your parents have been trying to find you for so long. Now that they know how you are doing, they wish to see you. Hence, why I am here." The tall man informed, earning him a scoff from Chaeyoung's lips.

Park Jinwoo and Park Haeun huh? It had been a while since she last recalled her parents' names. Chaeyoung felt nothing but pure anger and hatred when she heard her parents were looking for her. So, someone was following me and taking pictures. What a joke. A dark smirk formed on her lips, followed by a fit of bitter laughter. The detective was beyond confused as he stared at the laughing girl before him. Once she let out all the laughter she could muster, Chaeyoung stalked towards him with a scary glint in her eyes.

"Tell them they can go to hell." she told him, poking his chest with a menacing finger. Usually, Chaeyoung would do none of this and maybe she would even cry and have a sort of melancholic feeling at seeing her parents again. But Chaeyoung was not in the mood after what happened in the hospital. The closest experience she ever got to having a real mother came from the woman who was now dead. They were the reason it happened in the first place. Jimin's mother was murdered by the demon they summoned. It was all their fault.

She turned away from the man and began to limp back until she felt an arm circle around her waist, pulling her backwards until she hit a solid chest. Her eyes widened, fear rushing through her blood stream. Chaeyoung thrashed around and was about to scream until she felt a sharp pain on the side of her neck instantly numbing her system. "I was told if you refused to cooperate then I would have to take you by force. I'm sorry, Chaeyoung-ssi. Please sleep well until we get there." The males voice was becoming more and more muffled as her vision blurred. She released one last breath before her eyes shut closed and her body fell limp in the man's arms.
