Chapter 5: Embarrassing Stories

Everyone, was sitting in the dining room with a large amount of Take Out chinese food. Lance had returned in time for Vivi to wake up. They were all currently sitting down and eating in silence, everyone enjoying the food as it satisfied hunger all around.

"Mmm..." Mystery hummed and licked his snout with his tongue, grinning. "Thanks for getting me some."

"Yup. Knew you probably wanted some considering Vivi feeds toy human food." Lance scratched his beard.

"I do indeed." Vivi grinned, still oogling at her talking dog. "So cool!" She quietly squealed.

Lewis grinned faintly and ate the food he didn't really need to eat. His eyes then looked to Arthur, who ate little bits at a time, his eyes flicking to the kitchen to catch the sight of the coffee maker, eyes oogling with longing. Lewis shook his head with a chuckle before continued eating, though, his chuckle Caine's the orange head's attention.

"Hm?" Arthur turned his attention to the ghost. "What's with the laugh Mama spice?"

Vivi choked on her food, and best her chest to cough it out of her lungs, before swallowing it. She then grinned and started to literally cackle. Lewis flushed weakly and growled before sighing.

"You and your coffee. I told you, no caffeine." Lewis chimed.

"Haha, mama spice. Is it because his last name is Pepper?" Vivi smiled through her wince, hand placing st her abdomen.

"Yup." Arthur grinned devilishly. "He was mothering me over my head, so I decided he shall be dubbed Mama spice." Arthur hummed.

Lewis rolled his eyes and continued eating, grinning as he chewed his food, looking up at Vivi again, watching her carefully shift in her seat. His eyes moved to her bandages and they flickered with worry before he looked back over to Arthur, then up at Lance with a tired look, one Lance shared.

Both men were worried over the two's health both Physical and mental.

"After you eat, you should go back to sleep. It will help you heal quicker." Lewis turned to Vivi, pointing his fork at her. "I'm serious. Also, please don't seal your door, I can't check up on you, and Lance has to go home and tend to Arthur's Hamster, so I need you to keep it u sealed. Please?" Lewis asked.

"Sure thing. Sorry, it's a habit of mine. Once, we accidentally brought a cursed object home, and it was like, this weird possessed snail and it wouldn't leave me alone, I woke up with it trying to get into my mouth. That was the day." Vivi shrugged weakly.

"Ew." Lance furrowed his eyebrows.

"Oh that's not the grossest thing we have ever dealt with~!" Vivi grinned heavily at Arthur.

"Oh...fuck..." Arthur covered his face by hiding his head in his arms.

"I'm already interested!" Lewis smirked evily.

Vivi giggled. "Okay, so we got a call about this haunted lake two states down from here about a year and a half ago. We drove down and got paid a lot to solve what was going down there. So, we get to this place, and the water was like, pulsing a cyan color. So, what happened was I got dragged under the water by this female siren like spirit, and on the bottom of this lake there were corpses everywhere! I'm talking decaying fish need bodies, the scariest nastiest thing ever. Well, I thought that was the nastiest thing." Vivi giggled excitedly.

Mystery began to laugh into his paw, looking at Arthur with an evil glare, wheezing actually, adjusting his glasses after they almost fell off his snout. Lewis grew very interested as Arthur groaned and shuddered.

"I managed to break out of the hold, and swam up for air right before I drowned, thanks to Mystery scaring away the fish holding me. I swim up, and find Arthur, completely bound in vines and water plants, with this thirsty ass water spirit trying to undress him. He was freaking out and fucking RED! She was kinds pretty, but kinds decaying! It was gross to even fucking think about aahaaaa! She was gushing about marrying him! And having babies!" Vivi punched the table, and howled with laughter. "Fucking groping him!"

Lewis covered his mouth to suppress a laugh, and looked over at Arthur to find that even his neck was red from embarrassment. Lewis laughed into his hand.

"Real ladies man huh Artie?" Lewis snickered out.

"Fuckin shit Viviiiiiiuh!" Arthur whined loudly. "Whyyyy?"

"Because I couldn't resist telling it to your ghost friend." Vivi chuckled.

"Poor thing, it's otay." Mystery hummed.

"Oi! Not you too!" Arthur pointed an accusing figure at Mystery.

"Arthur, I'm going to start calling you the undead seducer from now on." Lewis cackled.

"Nooooo." Arthur shot up, flailing his arms out spastically. "No no no! Don't you dare!"

"WATER KINK!" Vivi wheezed and slapped the table as she held her gut with her other hand out of pain.

"PFFT!" Lance choked on his food and slapped his knee.

"OH FUCK! AHAAAAAH! THATS so much better!" Lewis howled and slapped the table, banging it before proceeding to literally fall out of his chair, rolling on the ground in laughter.

Arthur fumed and stood up quickly before storming out, covering his face as he walked away from the table that was alive with humor. Arthur rushed to his room and slammed the door, before running to his bed and flopping down onto it, punching his bed a few times before turning into a limp and humiliated Arthur noddle.

"So uncool." Arthur whined and tried to calm himself down. "I don't even like women." He pouted and rolled over to face the ceiling.

Arthur stared up at the ceiling and sighed. He looked around before looking down at his hands, lifting them up to the ceiling. He reached out as far as he could, staring at his fingers. His blush slowly died down as his heart rate slowed back to normal.

Arthur slowly sat up, and held his throbbing head. He looked over to his window and walked to it. He pulled the curtains back before opening the blinds. His eyes looked upwards at the setting sun, painting the clouds and houses surrounding them in an orange hue.

He quite liked the color of orange. Arthur smiled softly at the warm pastels he was also seeing in the sky. Pinks and soft blues and darker colors farther away from the sun. Yellows and reds that swam together in a calm sway if color, his favorite time of day.

Arthur looked down at his metal arm, poking his shoulder a few times before looking back out, wishing he could fly into that sunset and burn.

Burn away to relieve the world from himself.

Arthur pulled himself back from the window and let the natural light swallow the room. Arthur moved over to the desk with the mechanical parts and grabbed a small metal scrap, about the size of a tooth. It was jagged and sharp, purposefully shaped by his own craftsmanship. Arthur looked down at his desk and placed a few others roughly the same size in his hand.

Arthur's pupils flitted to a cup of water and temptation began to sear through his gut. His mouth began to dry and beg for moister and pain. His insides were probably very scarred, as it wouldn't be the first time he's swallowed metal shards. They always came out the other end, but the process of moving them through his body was the farthest from pleasant. If was quite painful actually, pain he had grown addicted too.

Instead of going through with it though, Arthur moved the shards to the trash and slid them in. He watched them fall into the trash and hummed with satisfaction. He walked to his door after that, shoving everything back down before wearing his calm and collected fact. He opened the door and walked out, slapping his cheeks a few times.

"Best. Last name. Ever." Vivi smirked from the end of his hallway, making him jump.

"You should really be taking it easy." Arthur groaned softly, walking over to her before looking down at her abdomen. "I can't imagine that feels good."

"It's the worst pain I've felt, ever. But it's nothing I can't handle. It probably doesn't compare to a missing limb. Or dying." Vivi shrugged, puffing her cheeks out while she did.

Arthur hummed but sighed. "Let's get you back to bed." He sighed.

Vivi smiled and gently linked their arms. Arthur smiled at her softly before walking with her slowly towards her room. Lewis looked up from his conversation with Lance to spot the two, he gave them a very warm smile.

Arthur looked up at smiled back, as did Vivi. Vivi then looked to Arthur with a smug grin.

"What's with the smile?" Arthur asked quietly.

"So, big hot ghost man." She purred, wiggling her brows at Arthur Suggestively. "Gonna go for him?"

Arthur went beat red and eyed her, feeling all kinds of wrong after hearing those words leave her mouth.

"U-uhm, I'm pretty positive he isn't gay, Vivs." Arthur whispered, walking into her room with her. "Seriously."

"Oh come on, don't be a bummer! He has been staring at you intensely when you aren't looking. I know tension when I see it." Vivi giggled. "He is definitely attracted to you."

"I highly doubt it. I mean, h-he and i-i wouldn't exactly work anyways. I'm...well, me. I'm too fucked up mentally to be bearable. And he has his own problems. Being dead and all." Arthur sighed.

"Oh nonsense. All I'm hearing are excuses to shove him out." Vivi huffed and laid herself down in her bed. "You both obviously get along well, and you are very entertaining as a person. You have an awesome personality and skill set. Steady income, great smile, great ass, lean body. Your cute." Vivi chimed.

"Let's n-not talk a-about my ass." Arthur felt self conscious then, rubbing his glutes before shaking his head. "Vivi, me and him are kinda complicated right now anyways. There is a lot you don't know about the two of us at the moment. Especially him." Arthur motioned to the door. "Things are a mess. But one we intend to solve. For the better of the gang."

Vivi felt the weight of his words then, feeling a very heavy vibe coming off of them, a seriousness and importance that couldn't be explained with words. She also knew that stressed face he was making, he was worried about her, and about everything else except him.

He was so selfless it hurt her at times.

She did nothing but smile faintly, humming as she took her glasses off and set them on her gravestone like nightstand, where she had a zombie alarm clock and a ghost lamp. She yawned before scooting herself into her usual spot on her bed, exhaling heavily.

"I figured as much. I won't pester you about it often, or at least I'll try not to eheh. For now, let's focus on healing before we can fix this mess you say we are in. I'm sure I'll understand the situation after I'm healed, and considering I'm a fast healer, I'll be ready to go and help out in no time." Vivi grinned widely.

Arthur watched her radiate confidence and warmth that it made his stress melt away into a smile. Arthur sighed and walked over to her, before giving her a friendly kiss on her forehead, a gesture Arthur and Vivi were both comfortable with considering Arthur was gay, and meant nothing by it other than to offer friendly comfort. Arthur only did this gesture when he knew she needed it, and was happy for her help, knowing she was trying to cheer him up.

"You get some rest now. I'm right behind you on the sleep." Arthur grinned softly.

"You too Artie. Don't stay up too late, you got pretty banged up too. You sway when you walk. Bump your head again?" She knowingly smirked.

"Like I always do." Arthur chuckled before waving at her, walking to her door.

Vivi smiled and got curled up into her sheets just as Arthur left. She sighed softly and looked to her glasses again. She looked from them down to her hands, which always seemed to be cold. She rubbed them together before looking at a photo, an old one of her and Arthur on the wall opposite of her current position.

"I hope he smiles like that again.." She weakly mumbled.

Arthur walked from the living room, where Lance was leaving, to his own hallway, where Lewis was waiting for him. Arthur looked up at Lewis curiously, raising a brow. Lewis looked down at him with a soft glance before patting his head. He then sighed and pulled his hand away before leading Arthur into his room.

"I don't need any help you know." Arthur mumbled weakly.

"I know that was a big lie. You do. You're swaying." Lewis stated. "Straight to bed. I'll clean the floor for you."

"If you really have too Mama spice." Arthur huffed.

"I really do, Water Kink." Lewis smirked evily as he watched Arthur lay down.

"That's not going away anytime soon." Arthur grimaced to himself.

"Hnhnhn~, nope." Lewis wiggled his eyebrows Suggestively before proceeding to pick up dirty clothes from the floor.

Arthur watched him and felt a shiver run through him then. He was glad it was dark, because he was blushing a bit at the moment. Lewis finished quickly, and once everything was Tidy, Lewis moved to the other side of Arthur's bed before flopping down onto it. Arthur tensed heavily.

"You know you literally still have a room. An entire room, right?" Arthur pointed out.

"Of course I know. I lived here hehe. Buuuut I'm keeping an eye on my depressed friend. So we are roommates." Lewis stated.

Arthur nodded and patted his chest a couple times, staring up at the ceiling, tense and uncomfortable about the situation, considering he just had a talk with Vivi, Lewis's girlfriend, about him and Lewis getting more...close.

Arthur shook his head and shivered again before looking over to the door, where there was a bathroom waiting for him to hide in. He also knew that he sadly couldn't hide in there due to Lewis's glorious ability to fly through walls. He sighed again before looking up at the ceiling once more in thought. He really did like the fact Lewis was in their life, despite everything going on, he was happy for that fact.

The house felt whole again.

"Now that your back I can finally stop hiding all of your lama plushies." Arthur purred.

"Yessss! My lama stuff is still here. Even the adorable sweaters?" Lewis questioned.

"Even the sweaters. Vacuum sealed and hiding in the wall of your room. I've also neatly stacked and saved your posters, sheets, clothes, shoes, phone. Everything you owned I've kept hidden or just displayed in the closet or under your bed." Arthur explained. "Vivi doesn't remember you, so having a room of Lama's would've made her question everything. And then worry I might be the one with the lama fetish." Arthur nudged him with a smile.

"Epic. And for your information. It's not a fetish, it's an obsession. There is a difference Artie. I don't get hard on's looking at Lamas. I just love them. They are adorable! And fluffy!" Lewis blushed and cupped his cheeks happily, magenta irises sparkling in glee.

Arthur watched him and gently smiled before laughing into his hand, his blush softening in a calm and pleasant one. He enjoyed watching Lewis get so adorable over lamas, missing his tangents about how they were the single most adorable creature on the face of the earth.

"You and your Lamas." Arthur mused, rubbing his head softly before laying back down, less tense, completely relaxed, his head in a happy place.

He was happy Lewis could still smile so innocently. There was no anger in those eyes, in that moment Lewis seemed completely happy, as if forgetting the pain he was suffering. Arthur sighed and curled into his blankets, letting his eyes close.

He didn't mind letting his smile get exposed to Lewis.

Arthur was happier then.
