Chapter 28: Rooftop

It was nightfall, he hadn't moved. He wasn't sure if he wanted to remove himself from where he was laying down at. His locket rested safely in a bed of grass beside a tree and within this locket he resided.

Deep...deep in thought and consuming emotion.

Buried under a pile of rage...and vengeful thoughts. Harmful thoughts directed at someone he deeply cared about.

Thoughts he couldn't help having.

The argument that broke out was probably inevitable. He knew how Arthur gets when he feels overwhelmed, or cornered or deeply frustrated. He knew he was usually the person to explode and shout things he didn't mean, but the fact he brought up his death just grated the wrong way. He didn't feel right after hearing that despite knowing Arthur never wanted to hurt his feelings or say things thst would.

Still though, the thoughts rolling about his head were very dangerous to be having.

Throw him off a cliff...
Twist his IV shut while he slept.
Possess him to give him nightmares
Physically harm him to make him apologize.
Make stupid comments about his missing arm.

"Damn." Lewis hissed before flying out from his locket, materializing around it as it settled onto his chest.

He wants to go apologize but he didn't have the certainty that he wouldn't do something stupid in the process. If Arthur got mad or snappish he knew he wouldn't be able to hold himself back from making him scared or hurt.

Lewis gave a heavy sigh before heading back towards the hospital, materializing a pair of sunglasses to cover his abnormal looking eyes. He shoved his hands into his pockets and proceeded until he reached the front doors, slipping inside with ease. His first destination was the elevator, but at the last minute he decided to take the stairs up to the floor Arthur's room was.

As he began to acend through walking rather than levitation, Lewis recalled the events that lead him and Arthur to where they were at now. He removed his hands from his pockets and allowed his fingers to trail along the railing in thought. He remembered their relationship before he and Vivi became an item. He could perfectly see the signs now that he knew about Arthur's liking him.

"I'm stupid." Lewis gave a heavy sigh, before his face warped with rage. "But that bastard's even dumber for using my death to win an argument. What sane human being even fucking does that!? What right does he have!? None! I never showed him an ounce of disrespect that made me deserve to hear such terrible things! Uhg...im being over dramatic, but I feel like I'm somewhat justified. I need to apologize for making him uncomfortable but he also needs to say sorry." Lewis rambled on.

"Maybe I deserve his wrath. Those terrible things. Maybe I deserve worse for being the way I've been towards Vivi. I've been neglecting her in favor of my supernatural pull to Artie. I know she understands how beings like me feel, but it doesn't change much...I've also been a dick. It's super unfair for her. It's not like I still don't love her...it's...my calling, the pull on my soul just tugs to Artie more. I love him in a way that can't be properly described..and get I'm still so mad I could probably kill him with a smile on my face while doing so."

Lewis shook his head after another wave of intruding thoughts surfaced. He sighed again and rubbed his chest, frowning heavily at the memory of choking on his own blood underneath the blanket of a cave roof and his friend's, now boyfriend's maniacal laughter and his ex girlfriends hysteric bawling and screams.

Lewis snapped from his thoughts in time to arrive on the floor of Arthur's hospital room. He looked around though his shades before making his way over to the door. Lewis moved over to the wood before pausing as voices surfaced from within.

"Is he really not coming down from up there? What a pansy. He should take his mistake like a man, find the bastard and apologise." Shiromori's voice filled the room within.

"I think Lewis should find him first. He probably left to cool down. You know how poltergeists get when they are sour! Or reminded if their deaths! They get very violent." Vivi grumbled. "All of us were in the wrong. The moment we leave this hospital is when we can start healing from the past events. Lance had to go back to the shop, so hopefully it gives Artie enough time to come back from the roof."

"There's surveillance right? Kid's depressed." Mori asked.

"Yes, there is surveillance Mori, he left with a nurse watching over him." Mystery yawned.

"I just hope things can go back to normal soon." Vivi mumbled in a sad tone.

"I know Vivi, I know." Mystery spoke in a somber tone as well.

Lewis blinked slowly before looking towards an elevator. He then looked to the front desk and moved over there, knowing someone probably needs permission to get up there anyway.

"Yes?" The nurse asked from behind the desk.

"My bud is up on the roof. Can I go up there?" Lewis asked calmly.

The nurse frowned at his weird voice, her eyes narrowing some in contemplation before pressing a button unseen and covered by the countertop of the desk.

"You can go, get your throat checked before you leave though. You sound like you have a cold." The woman recommended.

"Mn." Lewis grumbled before moving over to the elevator and getting in, slamming the doors shut before anyone else could get in with him.

He sourly stared at the metal as the dings sounded, removing his sunglasses and placing them in his jacket. Lewis held his hand out and a deadbeat materialized, bobbing with the pulse of his locket.

"Possess the nurse and send him downstairs." Lewis ordered as the elevator doors opened. "Me and Kingsman need our privacy."

The deadbeat gave an excited growl before zipping off towards the unsuspecting nurse. Lewis watched with unamused eyes as he stepped out into the air. He gave a sigh as the nurse wordlessly flinched before turning to leave. Lewis moved his eyes away from the male and towards the one he wanted to gaze upon. His eyes darted across the platform until they paused on the orangette. His magenta irises flared with rage that barely contained itself, and when the elevator doors dinged shut behind him, temptation swallowed his soul.

Arthur was leaning against the fence, staring out at the distant highway, clearly listening to the noise, his back turned to the ghost that had just arrived. His arm was gently holding the fencing, and his nub was bandaged up and hidden in the sleeve of his patient shirt. He was wearing hospital slippers, body relaxed by the looks of things. He had also changed from a gown to a set of pajamas in a moment he apparently missed while he was away to try and calm down. He just stood there in silence gazing at the moving cars.

Completely unaware.

Lewis stalked closer from behind him, fingers twitching as licks of flame danced off his hair. His emotions surged to a boiling point the closer he grew to the man. Soon enough he was right behind the shorter male, who seemed clueless still despite the shadow of Lewis overtaking his body. Lewis tilted his head as he raised his arms around him without touching his skin.

His eyes are closed. Lewis thought to himself.

His arms quickly wrapped around the other, making Arthur yell out in surprise, muffled by the large hand that grabbed ahold of his lower face, it covering from beneath his nose to his jaw. The other arm was wrapped around Arthur's middle, trapping his arm against his body. Arthur shuddered against the body of the taller man, face wincing as Lewis's hold constricted his body.

"Ghnnh-!" Arthur grunted as his grip tightened suddenly to the point he nearly passed out from the abrupt pain it caused.

"I came here to apologize for getting mad. But I'm still mad...im having difficulties controlling myself at the moment. I already know you're sorry too. I can practically smell it radiating off of you. Oh~, Artie you drive a man mad." Lewis moaned as he lowered his head to kiss the other on the top of his head. "The angrier I become the more thirsty I get for vengeance, anything to drown the pain away. I just need a few moments of silence to calm down, if you accidentally say anything upsetting to me I'll probably hurt you unwillingly~. So don't say anything stupid darling." Lewis whispered against his earlobe before removing his hand around the other's mouth, planting it on his neck and grabbing it lightly instead.

"L-Lewis you're grip's too tight." Arthur wheezed out finally.

Lewis eyed him with burning eyes before smirking against his ear, a blush coming to his face."I can grab something else nice and tight if you don't like it~! I'm pretty damn sure you'd enjoy it too." Lewis purred, caressing his neck.

Arthur shuddered against him. A blush coming to his face as the man licked down his neck, silent and spiraling between arousal and anger. Arthur chose not to speak and decided instead to endure it, knowing he was honest about being unable to control himself. Arthur also felt guilty for what he said so much so that he would allow the man to do what he wanted to him.

"Cat got your tongue pretty boy~" Lewis whispered out, his grip loosening only to go lower and grab with a firm confidence.

"A-Ah~!" Arthut yelped and flinched backward into Lewis, his hand, now free, grabbing ahold of Lewis's wrist. "Wh-Whoa there! Huh, uh! L-Lewis w-were outside!" Arthur stammered as Lewis's hand began to message his crotch.

"I should make you get loud so people from the parking lot can hear you. Your screams~. That would be wonderful to watch, you'd get flustered." Lewis's angry eyes hardened as his hand gripped down on Arthur's neck, and forced the both of them to the ground in a sitting position keeping Arthur wrapped up by having his legs wrap up over the other's, Lewis's back against the fence.

Arthur grunted and winced, sweat collecting on his forehead as the man quite literally began to choke him. His grip grew Painfully tight before suddenly letting go, but only long enough for him to draw air before Lewis clamped down on his neck again, making him groan out in pain. Arthur squirmed underneath the pain and pleasure his body was being subjected too, unable to help that, but he didn't dare actively try to stop him either.

After what he said, he couldn't bare to.

Lewis's lips rested against the top of Arthur's head, basking in his writhing as he worked his hand about Arthur's lower regions, basking in his pain. He could feel fire wanting to burst from his palms and had to refrain from burning him in a setting like this. He didn't want to scar him, but a part of him sort of longed for it.

He didn't want to deal with the legal issues that could follow, that was the only thing stopping him from trying it. He merely man handled Arthur's sensitive groin and choked him hard enough to leave bruising.

"Gnnn-" Arthur's eyes rolled back into his head as Lewis had forgotten to give him air.

Lewis grunted in realization and let his neck go, feeling the smaller male slump forwards a little and gasp in air greedily. Lewis gave a shudder as the feeling of dying resurfaced within. Black hot tears brimmed his paranormal eyes as he grabbed ahold of Arthur again, gritting his teeth in a state of utter rage. He crushed Arthur against him roughly, trembling now as he shook his head.

"I'm trying!" Lewis choked out in a watery tone as his voice cracked.

Arthur flinched at hearing such a broken tone, and despite being choked, moved his head upwards until he could see Lewis's face warped with emotional agony.

"Y-You're o-ghn...okay." Arthur grunted out, moving his arm gently up Lewis's arm that eas busy fondling him, an arm they had abruptly froze as Arthut spoke, feeling the hand on his neck still and relax a bit too. "Y-You're okay Lew...i-i'm here. And I'm sorry for what I said. No matter the situation what I yelled wasn't okay and I shouldn't have done that. I deserve pain...I said a shitty thing." Arthur mumbled out, leaning against the other as Lewis stared him down past his tears. "I hurt you...again..." Arthur mumbled the last part quieter, his eyes glued to Lewis's.

Lewis stared down at him in slight confusion.

Again...? That- he still doesn't blame- does he still? Even after knowing it wasn't him? Even after getting our revenge he still...

"I don't blame you for me dying Arthur. You shouldn't blame yourself. We killed the thing that did the deed." Lewis explained shakily, sniffing as he relaxed more and more after the apology.

"I know that, but it was still my dumbass that did it." Arthur shrugged. "Enough of that though."

"But-" Lewis began but was quickly silenced by a hand grabbing his lips together.

"Shush!" Arthur puffed his cheeks out. "I said that's enough, it's irrelevant at the moment. What is though is your feelings. Are you okay?" Arthur asked with worry, brows knitted together.

"Y-Yeah, I think I've calmed down." Lewis gave a firm nod.

"That's gooAH~! OI!" Arthur shrieked aloud as Lewis roughly grated Arthur's painfully obvious problem. "D-Dude I thought you were calm!"

"I am calm but you obviously aren't. I think you enjoyed that a little too much. Didn't know you have a choking thing Artie~. I find that undeniably hot." Lewis cooed

"Mng! D-Do you have to do this on the roof? Hey what even happened to the nurse watching-hhhh!" Arthur gasped as Lewis's hand slid into his pants.

"I had a deadbeat take him on a stroll around the hospital to give us privacy. Your hospital room has people so yes, I'm doing this on the roof." Lewis gave a firm nod. "God I can't wait to leave this place. I can't wait to break your bed as I ravish you." Lewis moaned into Arthur's ear before kissing behind it, letting himself relax and enjoy himself doing what he wanted.

Arthur squirmed, before eventually giving up on getting away since having only one arm was disabling in terms of escape from a man like Lewis. He simply chose defeat and enjoyed the welcomed pleasure it brought him, twitching and letting out soft moans here and there as Lewis grew more and more gentle with his touches and caresses, enjoying the rhythm of his pumping hand.

The two sat in silence after all issues were taken care off, and watched as the sun left the sky in place of the moon. Arthur basked in the glow of his pleasure high and satisfaction, enjoying. The soft glowing emitting from Lewis's hair and eyes.

"Are we okay?" Arthur asked after a time, only to hear a soft chuckle.

"Of course we are."

"Are you okay?"

"Better now that I'm with you."

"Hey Lewis?"

"Yes Kingsman?"

"I think we should head inside."

"Hn, alright. Let's go."
