"AHH!" Arthur screamed, quick, short, but loud in volume, and it was very abruptly over.

Pain was immense, but his body felt fine, eyes remained open, but unable to process what had just occured, or who was hovering over him, or what was underneath him, hoisting him up by the spine, causing his body to bed, fold into a 'U' dangling limp and helplessly like a cooked noodle.

Heated hands came to rest against his cheeks, a skull for a face covering vision with fiery eyes burning and flickering with regret and the largest of concern. They held care, anger, fear, annoyance, confusion.

Confusion was the largest of all of them, an emotion Arthur too, was flooded with.

Arthur was slowly moved up, pain stabbing through his back going unnoticed as he was slowly hovered towards the flatter ground beside the bed of spikes. He was slowly laid flat on his back, unmoving in shock, as the ghost stayed and stared from on top of him, hovering to keep their bodies apart of course.

"L-Lewis-!" Arthur choked out, feeling tears instantly form, and fall uncontrollably down the sides of his face, running through his gel heavy hair.

Arthur extended a trembling arm upwards, touching the figure in front of him with a cold metal finger, brushing the bone of Lewis's face as if confirming what he was seeing was really him.

"Arthur..." Lewis responded, his voice deep, more angry sounding, and raspier, maybe even deeper that his original voice. "Are you-"

It sounded supernatural, inhuman. But before that voice got a chance to become even remotely familair, Arthur stopped his speech.

"Lewis you- y-you're-!" Arthur felt his chest heave, as a well of emotions struck through him, punching him in the gut with an ocean of questions. " H-how are you- w-when did you even!?" Arthur began to breath in a more panicked manner, pain going unnoticed as adrenaline pumped through him, causing him to sit up straighter. " When did you!? Y-You! You're a...you just-"

"Arthur do you seriously not remember what happened?" Lewis asked in a disbelieving tone, bones swallowed with flame to create his face again, muscles forming into a look heavy in confusion, and guilt, and above all, sorrow.

"Oh my God Lew!" Arthur panicked, gripping his shirt as his breathing grew quicker, unable to control his gasping. "Oh Jesus! Oh fucking chesus crusty nachos!"

"E-Easy!" Lewis spoke in a harsher voice than he meant, causing the blonde to flinch.

"YOU JUST--! A-A-AND I ALMOST-!" Arthur screeched, feeling dizziness and nausea set in fast. "D-DON'T TELL ME TO BE EASY!" Arthur screeched loudly, his voice echoing, and in a panic." YOU'RE DEAD!"

"Yeah, congratulations. You have eyes." Lewis rolled his eyes before growling. "Arthur, what do you remember about me?" Lewis growled.

"Everything I hope! You went missing! I've been looking everywhere for you!!!" Arthur backed away from him, before wincing at a sharp pain that electrified his back.

You see, just as Arthur was going to be run through by a spike, one of Lewis's deadbeats caught him, but the tip did puncture his left side, and peirce clean through his muscles, barely poking the lung when the ghost stopped his fall.

"That's not what really happened..." Lewis's eyes grew irritated, but that all melted the moment he spotted the metal arm.

He was just now noticing it and Lewis's stare made Arthur feel uncomfortable and very put on the spot. Arthur gently grabbed it and scooted back some before forcing his body to sit up.

"Don't worry, it's an old accident. You see, I was working at the shop with Lance and the machine holding the car up malfunctioned and it fell and crushed it, chopped it clean off." Arthur chuckled weakly.

Lewis didn't believe that for a second. He remembered his death very clearly. He was shoved by Arthur, who was smirking and fell into the bed of spikes, impaled through the chest. He remembered Arthur's laughter turn into gut wrenching screams. Screams that sounded like genuine...pain...

Lewis gasped and tensed, feeling a sinking feeling, but before he could speak on it, a loud gunshot rang through the cave, alerting both, before they both immediately gasped and started at one another.

"VIVI!"
"Vivi!"

Both men shouted at each other simultaneously, before yanking themselves up and darting up the cave passageway. Lewis panicked and made the entire place vanish with a simple wave, and suddenly the two were running through a semi cargo container.

The two leapt out of the dark container and into the light of the moon lit and streetlight illuminated parking lot in front of the mechanic shop.

Lewis charged head in, flames swallowing his face back into bone, not even thinking as he spotted Vivi unconscious on the ground underneath a very large wolf, growling in shock as it stared the blue woman down in fury and mixed emotion, tails flailing angrily and protectively.

Lewis saw Vivi with cuts and bruises, bloodied from a deep cut across her abdomen who's bleeding stopped, the wound surrounded in a film of red to match the eyes of the beast above her. Lewis shuddered and stares the wolf down, instantly noticing it looking near identical to Mystery. He then spotted Lance aiming the shotgun at him, and gasped before flying out of the way, as he shot.

The bullets flew right Past a frozen Arthur and hit the semi cargo container, creating bullet holes in the metal.

Arthur didn't even flinch as the bullets flew past him after the loud bang, his eyes were glued on Mystery, body shaking, skin drained of color. His eyes were as wide as they could be, pupils shrunken down so small they were hard to see, making his expression slightly scary to look at for too long, but it did mirror his own terror expertly.

"Ah!" Lance gasped at the fact he nearly shot Arthur. "Arthur move! Hey! Kid!"

Arthur didn't respond, he didn't care about the blue woman standing and growling in anger, staring Lance down with murderous intent. He didn't care about Vivi then, all he could focus on was that dog.

He saw that dog...not long ago yesterday. He though he fell asleep but, that was really Mystery.

But, he saw that thing before then. He swore he knew this dog and knew this over the fact of a foreign terror that consumed him as he stared at it's teeth. It's teeth scared him and he had no idea why they did, but it made his metal arm start to twitch.

"Arthur! I said move!" Lance shouted and went to run over but was stopped.

Mystery leapt in front of Lance and growled angrily, before darting to the blue women, biting into her arm, as she snarled and broke into a fight with the kitsune. Arthur's terrified eyes followed, the world almost moving in slow motion, as he stared Mystery down with a crippling weight of dread.

Too much, this situation was too much.

His car was gone, totalled most likely, the ghost that tried to kill him both in the mansion and just a few seconds ago was his missing friend, who apparently died. He had no idea why he wanted him dead, and now his dog was fighting a blue tree woman, and Vivi was out on the ground.

Arthur felt everything at once, as his metal arm twitched again.

"LEWIS!!!"

Arthur heard nothing but a very loud ringing sound as he saw shadows rushing towards his frozen body, his breathing becoming faint and inaudible, tears brimming his eyes as he felt a sinking feeling of guilt overcome him. He felt a large hand grab his arm, and pull his body towards the shop, but his eyes remained on Mystery, before slowly moving to the ghost moving him from the danger zone that was the majority of the parking lot.

Lewis Pepper died, but how? His death would have made the news, and Arthur would have known about it. His disappearance didn't make any sense, Vivi didn't even remember anything about him, and they dated didn't they? For years the two were a couple and she just somehow forgot all about the person that made her the happiest.

Arthur was pulled behind the van, where Lance dragged Vivi, and was bandaging her abdomen. Arthur stared at Lewis before weakly grabbing his metal arm.

"DIE BITCH!"

Arthur stared at Lewis, who felt the stare and looked back, a look of stress forming on his face, the anger and sadness never leaving that look. Arthur blinked and inhaled shakily, hot tears falling down his face as he felt a huge guilt smash into him.

"Arthur..? What's wrong? Don't be scared I won't let anything happen to you guys." Lewis spoke then. "Arthur you are scaring me. Stop that. What's gotten into you!?"

Anger was in his voice, suppressed rage was more accurate. Lewis fit the textbook depiction of a poltergeist, who haunt those that they are mad with, and Lewis was chasing him, and tried to kill him. Mystery's teeth, his arm, the fear he felt.

Everything suddenly clicked. Arthur gasped and backed away from Lewis bumping into his Uncle, who told him to watch himself. Lewis frowned heavily and floated closer, Arthur's wide eyes flooded with tears as he stumbled behind Lance, crying silently, biting his lower lip in terror and shock.

"You just keep your distance now hot pink." Lance grunted out, angry and stressed as a fight raged, red fire bursting in the parking lot, growling and cursing and insults filling the lot with pandemonium.

"Arthur-" Lewis began, genuinely worried.

"My fault..." Arthur whispered, shaking as he stared Lewis down, before his eyes darted to the locket. "I-I...y-you- I have, you shouldn't-!" Arthur panicked and gripped his chest, falling over and grabbing his left eye with his metal arm.

"Arthur calm down. Your gonna stress yourself too hard." Lance spoke in worry, holding Vivi's hand before moving Arthur behind him more close to his back. "What's the matter boy? What's your fault?"

"L-Lance t-that's Lewis!" Arthur choked.

Lance gasped and his eyes flew to Lewis, he rubbed his eyes before blinking rapidly at Lewis, who retracted from them, tense and worried, and angry. Lance looked straight at the skeleton's hair, before gasping.

"Holy shit!" Lance flinched. "Lewis what happened!?" Lance stood and moved over. "why didn't you say who you were!? I almost shot ya kid! It's been two years!"

"Uh!" Arthur covered his face and shook his head, panting as his vision all but faded, blinded by tears until he closed his eyes, heaving in horror. "oh DEAR GOD!"

"Arthur!?" Lance rushed over.

"DON'T TOUCH ME!" Arthur cried and smacked the hand from his shoulder.

"Arthur...?" Lewis frowned heavily.

His thoughts were cut off as something smashed into the van. Lewis whipped around and caught the vehicle, groaning and yelling under the weight as something proceeded to begin crushing it their way. Lance gasped and moved Vivi against the brick building before helping, groaning, panting.

Arthur slowly lifted his terrified eyes, and stared Lewis down, burning feelings consuming his left side. He stared the pink flaming man down with the deepest sadness. His eyes then traveled to a small gap between the van and wall, just barely large enough for someone to slip through carefully. He slowly stood, letting out a trembling breathe before darting straight for the gap. He growled and skidded, sliding across the ground and ducking his body, sliding out just as it slammed shut.

"ATTHUR!" Lance cried loudly.

Arthur stood, panting shakily as he grabbed the bat nearby, the one Vivi held before being knocked out by Shiromori. His mind ran without thinking, as an overwhelming sense of anger overtook him. He grit his teeth, at Seeing Mystery being crushed against the van under the large handed woman, who smiled devilishly at the bleeding wounds, licking her crooked teeth in a blind lust.

Arthur darted forwards, swinging the bat behind his head, and lunged from behind her, using his metal arm as the dominant force applier in his swing, and struck her head with a deafening crack, breaking everything within her skill before the bat's swing nearly shredded her head off, shoving her body back and off of the large wolf.

Mystery whined and yelped like a wounded dog, and slid off the van, huffing once hitting the ground, before weakly raising his body off the dirt. His eyes weakly cracked open to see Arthur standing in front of him, heaving, and trembling with restrained terror. His eyes then widened completely, causing him to gasp audibly.

"Arthur!" Mystery spoke, shocked and unbelieving, but quiet enough for the blonde not to hear.

"BACK OFF MY DOG BITCH!" Arthur snarled, his left eye burning angrily as he shook, groaning and growling like a feral animal. "LEAVE MY FAMILY ALONE! HAVEN'T WR SUFFERED ENOUGH!?"

Shiromori's body arched off the ground in an inhuman way, as if her body lacked a spine or bones, moving jelly like before solidifying, a head regrowing, bursting through her neck in a shroud of petals, eyes pulsing in a hypnotic anger. She eyed Arthur with a raised brow, before smirking wickedly, her pupils darting to the wolf behind her.

"How cute, the mutt needs his human shields to protect him. Especially ones in this condition. How pathetic~!" Shiromori giggled into her abnormally large fingers.

Lewis threw the van away from him and lance with a loud yell and powered throw, sending the already crushed vehicle flying across the parking lot, and into a street light. Lewis was consumed in flames, symbolizing the amount of rage he was feeling, at Arthur and the blue woman taking away his ability to catch his breathe.

"Arthur what in the hell possessed you to-" Lewis began, but was cut off the moment his deadbeats caught a large pair of scissors, that almost chomped an unflinching blonde.

Arthur eyed Shiromori with a very angered eye, his mouth pulled into an uncontrollable smile, eyed widened completely as if he were someone else entirely. Lewis stared Arthur's expression down with a wave of PTSD. Lewis frowned and felt anger and pain well from his locket, but he wasn't necessarily mad at Arthur.

More like the green consuming his left side, creating green electricity that was sparking from each joint in his metal arm.

Arthur's eyes were overwhelmed by tears, yet his vision did not falter or blur, immune to the tears obstruction of vision. His eyes locked with Shiromori's, and she stared back with interest. However, their staring contest ended, when Lewis slugged her back, with the help of a large bushy tail, sending the woman back.

"Arthur you need to breathe and calm down this instant. I can't do much for you at the moment. You need to calm down." Mystery suddenly spoke, wrapping Tails around Arthur's waist to prevent him from charging into the fight as he wanted.

"Mystery...w-what..he-", Lewis began, feeling a wave of guilt slam into him.

"Arthur was not the cause of your death. He was possessed by a spirit that wanted nothing but death and chaos. Arthur was in a weak state of mind, and it took advantage of that. Before you go blaming yourself, know you aren't the only victim of that cave. We all were." Mystery spoke, as Arthur struggled to fight against his rage and pain, resisting as well as he could, wincing and grabbing his hair in pain.

Shiromori sat up, groaning, tired. She eyed the bleeding wounds, before smirking. She giggled and wrapped her hand around a bottle in her pocket before sinking into the ground and burrowing away, satisfied with all the blood she managed to suck from the wolf's body.

"Hhh!" Arthur growled and scratched at his face."N-No, y-you- green fuckin- asparagus batnn!"

Lewis tensed and rushed over, still in a daze as he gripped his wrists to prevent him from injuring himself. Lewis watched as Arthur fought back and beat down the possession, green spots slowly receding and vanishing. Arthur gasped and his eyes flew open before he yelped pitifully at the fact Lewis was right over him, before he remembered everything.

His body relaxed under the tails, under the warmth of his hold as his mind began to fade, events growing more hazy as if clockwork, slowly forgetting the fact he had charged out in an overwhelming sense of rage and need for blood.

Forgetting why he was so upset in the first place, forgetting how much pain he was in, or how he really lost his arm, but he did remember Lewis trying to kill him, and that Lewis died in the years he went missing.

Forgetting everything important all over again.
