The next week, Monday, Andrew stepped up the first stair to school before being ambushed by a grinning Percy. He was exhausted, his very bones tired, but seeing her green eyes and messy black hair was better than a hundred cups of coffee.

Her bright white teeth shone in the sunlight, the red lipstick she had chosen for that day showing off her wide smile. After a Sunday of not being able to see her, of studying and working and her dad taking her on errands . . . This is what he needed.

"Hey there! Missed you." She sung as she grinned, wrapping her arms around his neck and swinging back and forth. He laughed and held her around her waist. "Sorry that I had to go to Paula's brother's house." She frowned apologetically. Andrew shook his head, golden curls bouncing over his forehead.

"Don't worry about it Seaweed Brain." He tucked his pointer fingers into her side belt loops and smiled. "I had work to catch up on anyways."

Percy frowned for real now, he furrowed his brows and Percy sighed. "I give you a free day, and you do school work?" She rolled her eyes, obviously teasing him. "And I know for a fact that you have all your school work up to Thursday done." She poked him in his chest, letting him hold her even as she crossed her arms and leaned back a bit.

Andrew smiled sheepishly. "It was that or sit around completely bored."

"We have other friends." She raised an eyebrow and smirked. "Or did you forget that?"

"I didn't forget!" He cried, falling for her trap. "I just . . . They're kind of boring compared to your craziness, and they all had plans anyways." He waved one of his hands before putting it right back where it had been, finger tucked back into her belt loop.

"I will say the others are lame compared to me," Percy kept smirking, placing a hand over Andrew's heart. "but that doesn't mean holding up in your room and not sleeping."

"Who said I didn't sleep?"

Percy cocked her hip to the side and crossed her arms again. Andrew sighed and frowned. "But no worries, I have your coffee, I sat it over here." She dragged him to the side of the staircase, where she had set her bag on the bench. Andrew drank from the coffee, ate the two cookies she had brought, and rested his arm over her shoulder as they walked to class.

Later that day Percy dragged Andrew to the pool.

Her first swim meet of the season was today and he, as always, sat in the blenchers. Percy hugged him before running into the locker room. He sighed, rubbing at his face before siting down and taking out his homework. Well, his text book, going over notes and making sure they were perfect.

When the team came out of the locker room Andrew didn't even look up until one girl came up to him.

He looked up, grinning, but his smile faded as he saw the blonde in front of him. Luca. Here. On the swim team. Wearing the purple bathing suit with white stripes down the sides, the Goode logo on the back.

"Hey there, Andy. Come to watch me?" She held her hands behind her back and grinned.

Andrew blinked, his hand frozen mid-air turning a page in his math book. "No." He said, frowning.

"Then what are you doing here cutie?" Luca's face fell but her smile was back up in less than a second. She stuck out her hip and leaned forward a bit, as if that made her seem cute.

Andrew sighed, turning his page and scanning the words as he spoke. "I would have thought you would know who your Team Captain was."

"What?" Luca asked, but a figure slid onto the bench beside Andrew.

"Oh yeah, Luca, I'm the Team Captain." Andrew could hear the grin in Percy's voice. "I thought, anyone trying out for the team would know. Because I am the one you have to impress. I do, after all, have the Coach wrapped around my little finger. So good luck." Andrew smirked at his bestfriend's words. "Better go on, we're about to start warm ups."

Luca growled something under her breath before stomping over to the side of the pool.

The rest of the team, not including the newbies trying out, were grinning at the blonde sent their way. Those girl's worshiped the ground Percy walked on, Luca wasn't going to get anywhere with them unless Percy said she was cool. And Percy was far from doing any such thing.

"She's not getting on the team is she?" Andrew muttered, glancing up at Percy.

Percy sighed, "She might if she's better than the others. But if I can risk not having her, she'll be walking home with wet hair for no reason." She winked then stood up. Andrew purposely stared at his book to keep from looking at her, to keep himself in the box he had always kept himself in. "You're staying over at mine tonight, I'm making sure you get some sleep."

"Okay Percy," He rolled his eyes and made the mistake of grinning up at her. His breath caught at the black hair pulled back into a pony tail, the form fitting swimsuit. Andrew tore his eyes away, burying his nose in his book. "Go get your Seaweed Brain on." He teased, even as he tried to keep the burning of his face from her.

Thank god she was turned to the pool.

Though, judging from the giggles from the pool, those girls had watched the whole thing. Those girl's might love Percy, but they loved to torment Andrew.

"Ugh, and as I do that, you'll get your Wise Guy on? Seriously take a break from the books!" She pouted, tearing the book from his hands and shoving it in his backpack. "You can even get on your damn phone, but put the fucking books away!" She grabbed the bag and slung it over her shoulder. "I'm hiding this, get over it."

Andrew frowned, pouting as Percy hid his bag in the locker room then started practice. Coach Hedge showed up, and helped Percy with the team until they had to wrapped up. In all they gained four new swimmers, and Percy was very pleased when she didn't need to put Luca anywhere near her team.
