about our love,
I can hear your heart
beating
in the body
of my poems'

Call from mummy

Avrudh’s  POV

I was lacking words to describe the amount of happiness residing in me these days. For one, I wanted to shout it out loud to Sadhvi, just to see her bubbling laughter but for second, I wanted to hold that in, try to let it burn me whole.

Eat me alive, this will intensify the amount of satiety I was getting.

I was full suddenly with nothing else needed.

Me, Sadhvi and our little bubble of love.

Sadhvi with a little knock walked in and created a havoc.

She turned the direction of wind with so much calmness that I was totally unaware when I started to sway and soon after flew her way.
Floating.

I was going crazy day by day.

I closed my eyes shut and inhaled a deep breath in.

It has been five months of us being married now and it felt like it was just yesterday she came to measure me out. To check whether I am a man in flesh, or she was to say yes to a robot.

I smiled realizing my plan to freshen my mind by inhaling deep failed because the devil herself was clouding my mind.

I tried concentrating back into the files which were to be done before we leave tonight for the farmhouse, the venue for Avesh’s and Meheka’s wedding.

Still without Sadhvi's approval, my brother and Meheka are getting married. Sadhvi is acting all grumpy about it but she's is happy. I know it.

I read and re-read the last page but to no avail, an image of Sadhvi sitting on my lap crying about getting scolded by her mother for not buying the sari of her choice.

I chuckled remembering the solution I gave which earned me a slap on my cheek. Lightly though, but the woman proved she wasn’t scared of me even for a bit.

“Are you thinking about cheating on me behind my back?”
Sadhvi accused with playful eyes leaning against doorframe crossing her arms around her chest

"Naah munna naah, you better know my husband is a judge and a powerful one at that. I too am a physiotherapist, can break your bone and my father is in Delhi police. So on short you will be screwed."

My eyes shined and lingered at her figure standing there. I was never getting enough of her barging into my life and knocking the sense out of me, literally. I was one proud husband to accept that.

“Maybe” I said laughing, shutting the file off completely and tucking the notepad inside as bookmark. I smirked at her.

“I think I need to remind you who the boss here is” Sadhvi said grinning and made her way to sit on my lap.

Once settled she hugged me and resting her head on my chest rubbed my stomach, “Mummy called once again”

I chuckled, “I told you, you can always wear my tux if you want to, you will look hot” I winked at her

She made one of her famous face at me, and before she could touch my cheek once again I help her fingers interlocked with mine,
“You bet your ass I would… if only I was allowed to”

I laughed pecking her nose,
“What did she say?”

“She apparently has already selected two or three things for me by herself and I am to wear them with not a word said against.”

“You will look good in everything”
I assured

She curled her upper lip in a weird way which I was totally incapable off.

“What should we gift the newly married couple?”

“For Meheka I have good ideas but to Avesh I have none” I said with a small face

Sadhvi rubbed my beard against her palm, which she loves doing a lot,
“I have something for Avesh in my mind”

“That man is my brother but everytime he tries to tease me I want to kick him only”

She laughed pinching my cheeks,
“You are too cute when you try not to blush.”

Yeah my brother knows that too.

“He is easy to make happy, gift him a watch and he will worship you for life”

She slapped my chest,
“Hey! We don’t say something like that, he is your younger brother buy him something valuable”

“That was the truth though”
I murmured looking into her eyes

She only shifted herself now straddling me on my chair, Sadhvi started drawing circles on my chest,
“No action for five days”

“Don’t remind me”
I said pushing my head back

She smiled at my face, “It will pass without even realizing, also I have so much to do”

“easy for you then. I have nothing to do but to drive people here and there and run errands mostly”

“That’s an important job”
she said as a matter of fact

“Says the lady who is making me do the same thing since the past week”

Sadhvi laughed a hearty laugh meeting my face,
“I will be playing both sister-in-law and sister roles”

“it will be torture for me to see you everyday but not to hug you properly”

She pouted, “Don’t make it sound like that”

“why not make best use of the time we’ve got now” I said suggestively

She only laughed louder once again trying to get up from my lap, “I have packing to do and Copper to feed”

“Your obsessive personality was done packing last night only and Copper has Grace and Monica to feed him”

“Still”
Sadhvi said pushing herself off me, but I knew how to have my way with her.

I kept a strong palm on the small of her back pushing her close to my chest earning a surprised gasp.

“just  a quicky. Promise.”

She smiled shaking her head before kissing me.

.

.

“Take care of yourself”
Sadhvi said before rushing after her brother who was carrying her bag to the bride’s side of the farmhouse.

I stood there watching her leaving back with a pout on my face.

“Avrudh beta?” I heard my mom’s voice and on turning met with her emerging figure.

I walked upto her and touched her feet, “Hey mom”

“Hi yourself. Where is Sadhvi?”

“Sanidhya stole her”

Mom laughed,
“Her mother was looking for her. She needed Sadhvi urgently.”

“Anything serious?”

“No honey, it’s just they are used to having Sadhvi ordering around for such occasions” she laughed

I nodded smiling at my mother.

She cupped one cheek of mine and I bent a little to her easy access,
“You look radiant and so does she. I am happy for both of you”

“I am happy too mom” I smiled at her and together we both walked to our side of the house.

I have a groom to dress.

Rituals to do.

Hi,
How are you guys these days?
Hope you doing well.

Lately I wasn't feeling romantic, if that is even a thing 😅

There's a singer, my favourite singer might I add 'Lauv'
In his song he said I quote- Feelings are hard to find.
AND I FELT THAT.
Then there is another song of his where he says - I am so tired of love songs.
AND FELT THAT TOO.

It's just romance is fictional and the fictional world is better. So much better.
Respect your own boundaries and just because it feels right it doesn't mean it is right.
