As soon as the two left the office, Toast broke down. He was terrified of getting in trouble, he always had been, that's why he had always listened and followed the rules. He was terrified of messing up, and now he had, and if his parents found out they would be furious.

So caught up in his thoughts, Toast was unable to breathe, frozen in his place as he gripped his hair. Ghost noticed this, and took a hold of Toast'd hand in an attempt to calm him. "Johnny? Here, follow me." He pulled Toast down the hall, into the bathroom. "Breathe Johnny, it's going to be okay. I'm right here."

Toast tried to concentrate on his words, he tried very hard, but all he could think about was how big he'd messed up, how bad a child he was, how his parents would be so disappointed in him, and then all of a sudden he was being wrapped up in something warm, as comforting, something that made him feel safe and protected; away from his awful thoughts. Away from his parents. Away from school, and the detention he had to face later.

Opening his eyes, he found that the warmth came from none other than his friend Ghost, who had wrapped him in a hug and was now whispering things to comfort him, telling him how they were both going to be alright, and it was only one detention. Telling him that they wouldn't get into trouble again, and even if they do Toast will never have to go through it alone. He had his friend Ghost now, and he didn't ever have to face things alone again.

Toast wrapped his arms back around Ghost slowly, and the two stayed there for a minute as Toast calmed down, breathing deeply. "Thank you," he mumbled, and Ghost nodded, still holding onto him.

"We should, probably get going to class." Toast laughed awkwardly as he pulled away from the hug.

"Yeah, probably." Ghost chuckled, and the two began their trek back to class.

Toast smiled as Ghost turned his back to him. He felt so safe when he was hugged by Ghost.

He hoped to be able to feel like that again.

Apparently I'm on a role because it's been only 20 minutes since I finished writing that last chapter

And now I'm on to chapter ten, where things begin to get a bit more interesting. Hope you all enjoy. Bye!-Bob

I've actually started writing chapter 14 as I'm uploading this, and I think I may start updating either daily, or every other day depending on what you guys think.

Will it be giving you too much at a time to update daily? Or do you wanna get more, fast? Just let me know!

This book is going to be 18 chapters long, so I'm almost completely finished writing it. Now, I just need a schedule for putting chapters up.

Alongside writing all of these chapters, I've been outlining "Evil Within," so that I'll be able to go ahead and begin writing that one as soon as I've completed the chapters in this book. This way, as soon as all of the chapters here are updated, I'll already have a few chapters of Evil Within written out and can upload those on a schedule as well.
