Chapter 7: Thursday
Toast had met up with Ghost in the hallways on the way to their next class, which the two shared. They had been talking about their day, and about how much fun they'd had hanging out the previous day.
"We should definitely hang out at my house again sometime. Oh, sorry again about my brother. He can be pretty annoying." Ghost sighed, shaking his head.
"It's alright. He wasn't too bad. I had fun, just spending time with you." Toast smiled, the two taking their seats next to each other. Ghost grinned back at him.
"I know, I'm just that amazing." He replied, chuckling. Toast shook his head, neither of them paying attention when the teacher entered the room and started talking.
"But you know, I was thinking," Ghost whispered to Toast. "Next time you come over there and Jimmy is flirting, maybe we should pretend to have gotten together." He laughed. "Then he'd leave you alone. Not that I'm jealous or anything."
Toast smiled as Ghost looked embarrassed. "I wasn't assuming you were, until you said that."
Ghost flushed and glared slightly at Toast. "Oh, forget I said it! But, anyways what'd you think? Should we do it?"
"What? Pretend to date each other?" Toast raised an eyebrow.
"Yeah! It'd get him to stop. And we could have fun with it." He laughed. Toast blushed.
"I-I dunno about that." Toast mumbled, looking at his desk.
"Aw, come on." Ghost chuckled. "It wouldn't be so bad to date me."
"No, it wouldn't be.." Toast mumbled after thinking about it. A small blush burned on his cheeks.
"What'd you say?" Ghost questioned him, and Toast's small blush spread.
"W-wouldn't Jimmy just tease us more about being together?" He asked, and Ghost thought about it.
"Yeah, you're probably right." He shrugged, smiling. "I kind of just wanted you to admit it wouldn't be a bad idea to date me. Even just pretending."
"Johnny Ghost, Johnny Toast, what makes you think you're allowed to be having a conversation in the middle of my class?" The teacher snapped. Toast flushed, going quiet and snapping to attention.
"Sorry," Toast mumbled, and Ghost said nothing. Knowing Toast didn't want to get into anymore trouble, he stayed quiet, watching his friend as he paid close attention to the teacher, chewing on his lip. Ghost listened to the teacher as well, but couldn't keep his eyes off the boy next to him, who still had pink staining his cheeks.
Ghost found Toast was adorable when he blushed.
SCHEDULE WHATS A SCHEDULE HAHAHA
Okay but yay! Two chapters in two days, isn't that great? I'm already working on the next chapter and everything! Have I made you proud yet? Oh c'mon, what do I have to do to gain everyone's approval??
Haha, but anyways, I apologize that all of the chapters in this book are pretty short. That's how most of them are most likely going to be, but I do hope you're enjoying them anyways.
Please keep in mind that this book is not going to last very long, the idea I had for this book was just to have something short and cute to work on. As I'm working on this book, I'm going to be outlining Evil Within, my sequel to the other book I wrote, and this is mostly just a side book to work on.
Which, doesn't mean I don't love this book! It's adorable as hell and I'm having a blast writing it, it's just most likely not going to be the best book I've ever written. So I'm sorry if it disappoints you! Just remember I have plenty of angst and better writing in my other book lol.
Anyways, I hope that you're enjoying this book despite the shorter chapters. Bye!-Bob
