"I been knew that girl hit him first." My mom said as we just finished the Chris Brown documentary. 

"I really don't like Rihanna no more, she let him take that charge and ruin his life knowing she caused all of that." 

"That's what's wrong with females, they think they can put their hands on a male and he suppose to just take it. No." 

"Exactly I'm not hitting no male without expecting the outcome. I mean they'll die if they hit me back but I don't expect them to just sit there." 

"So what are you doing for your birthday?" 

"I don't even know." 

"It's tomorrow, how don't you know?" 

"Because I left the planning to Zeph." 

"Oh then I know you're going to have a good time, he wouldn't let you be unhappy."

"Yeah, you right." I nodded watching the news with her. 

I sat up abruptly seeing two boys pictures on the news, I turned the t.v up hearing that they were murdered making me open my mouth in shock. I was confused as fuck but I quickly put two and two together. 

"You know them?" My mom asked.

"One of those boys hit me when I was getting jumped and I recognize the other one, I just- it's sad." I said still looking at the pictures until it went off. 

"Are you sad for them?" 

"I'm not really sad but it's just a funny feeling." 

I knew Jace and Zeph had something to do with it, that was the real reason it was bugging me. I know Zeph wouldn't leave it alone seeming as though they put their hands on us and pulled out guns. The thing that bothered me the most is this isn't Zeph, this is Mitch and I didn't know how far this person could take things.

"Are Lee and Sef back together?" She asked taking me out of my thoughts.

"No, Lee doesn't answer him unless he asking about the baby."

"Why she mad at him again?"

"Because after the fight he called her out her name multiple times and even after they left the hospital he was still yelling at her calling her shit. She said she don't wanna be around him so she broke up with him."

"I understand where he coming from." 

"I do too but I can't say nothing because if roles were reversed I would have did what Lee did." I shrugged. "Even if she watched us get jumped, she would have still had to fight because they were still hitting her even when Sef was out there. Them bitches or niggas didn't care that she was pregnant, they were so bold." 

"Did she try to explain that to him?" 

"He told her to shut her retarded ass up." I said, laughing. "We even tried to explain it to him but he wasn't tryna hear anything, he even tried cursing us out." 

"He cursed y'all out?" 

"Oh no baby, he tried to." 

Laughing, she shook her head. "What did he say?" 

"Talking about, we all could have walked away from the situation but yet put her in a predicament when we would have been the first ones crying with her dumbass if something happened."

"But didn't you say the girls hit first?" 

"Exactly, we weren't trying to fight. We told them multiple times we ain't want no problems because we were outnumbered and I was hungry as fuck but once she put her hands on Lee, everything went out the window." 

"I see where everybody coming from and I don't blame Lee for jumping in, she is loyal."

"I was mad at Lee too because she did put my child in danger but I can't be mad knowing I would do the same without thinking twice about it." 

"You have been fighting since you were little." She shook her head making me smirk.

"Issa hobby. I think I wanna sign up for boxing so I can stop punching on these bitches and use my anger in a more productive way." I fake smiled.

"That sound like Zeph words." 

"They are." I laughed. 

"I knew it."

"No but he's right, I used to fight so much back then because I couldn't beat that man. No matter how hard I tried, I just couldn't. So I would go pick fights knowing I could beat them and I regret that cause I gave myself a record." 

"Imagine going to pick up your second grader from a holding cell because she beat someone so bad it caused a seizure." 

I shook my head in disappointment, I had a juvenile record longer than someone's arm. Every time that man beat me or did something to me, I took it out on anyone in my path. Even while I was living with my grandmother I still would fight people thinking about my past.

"I'm a work in process." 

"When are you going to start prom shopping?" 

"Next week, wanna come?"

Smiling, she nodded. "Yes, I would love to." 

"Okay, you wanna go cook something or order?" 

"Order something, Chinese." 

"Vegetable lo mein with teriyaki chicken?" 

"Yes." 

I nodded going to Ubereats looking for a Chinese restaurant, finding one I ordered our food. I went to look up some tattoo ideas because I wanted Zeph and me to get matching tattoos. It was supposed to be Lee, Sin and I but Lee pregnant so that's out the window. 

After finding a few, I sent them to Zeph so he can choose whichever he liked. I then began looking through baby clothes and other stuff for my daughter. I didn't know how much time I spent actually doing this because next thing I know my phone was ringing letting me know my food was outside. 

I walked outside seeing the car parked outside my house and another car as Sin got out. I rolled my eyes, this girl always popping up unannounced. She grabbed my food making me turn around to go back in the house knowing she was following. I went in the kitchen grabbing two sodas and a green tea then walked into my mom room. 

"Where the- Hey Sincere, I didn't know you were coming." She smiled sitting up. 

"When do we ever know when she coming?" I asked rolling my eyes. 

"Shut up b i t c h." She spelled it out making me laugh. 

"You might as well just said it Sin." My mom glared at her.

"I'm sorry B-rad but your daughter gon push me to the edge and all my friends gon be dead." 

"Bitchhh!" I yelled rolling, I stopped breathing for a minute. 

"I really don't like y'all two." My mother shook her head as I stopped laughing. I grabbed my food then passed my mother her food.

"Go get a plate so-" Sin cut me off pulling out a bowl making me roll my eyes.

"What movie y'all wanna watch?" My mom asked 

"Zenobia sextape." Sin said making me cough on my food. 

"You really a dick head." I laughed.

"You have a sextape?" My mom asked. 

"More than one." 

"With the same person?" 

"Zeph and Izzy are the only two I allowed to record me."

"I got a lot of sex tapes, they so bomb, I'm bout to expose myself." Sin shook her head making me laugh.

"Y'all are-" She shook her head not finishing her sentence as we laughed.

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY!" I heard making me groan and open my eyes. "Happy birthday! Happy birthday!" 

"Go go go shawty, it's ya birthday! We gon sip Hennessy and get fucked up, shot after shot ain't no such thing as a empty cup!" Sin rapped twerking as I looked at them.

"Wait, I like that!" Lee said twerking with her.

"Aye, hold on I got you sis." Sin pointed at me as I continued looking at them blankly while she walked over to my speaker. 

I stood up with the biggest smile on my twerking as "Birthday Bitch" began playing, Sin know this was my shit. I put my hands on my knees and stuck my tongue out as Lee and Sin both recorded me, I was showing off knowing Zeph was gonna fuck me up when he see it. 

"It's too damn early." My mom said turning the music off as we all laughed. 

I stood up straight and gasped, I don't know how I didn't see all the decorations in my room. My room was filled with silver, gold, black, white and the number eighteen balloons. Attached to every balloon was either a bag or printed out pictures of me or with Sin, Lee, Sef, Jah, Kellz, my mom and Zeph. I covered my mouth as tears came to my eyes.

"I'm guessing she like it y'all." Lee said as I saw her recording.

"Why y'all tryna make me cry at seven in the morning?" I asked sniffling. 

"Everybody dressed?" Jah asked walking in as I jumped into his arms hugging him tightly. "Happy birthday, first born." 

"Thank you dad." I smiled then hugging Kellz. "What's in the bags?" 

"Gifts from all of us." My mom answered. 

"Awww, waitt lemme brush my teeth first." I laughed not liking the morning breath taste.

"I wasn't gon say nothing buttt yeah." Jah said making us laugh. 

After brushing my teeth I went back in my room grabbing the balloons with the gifts. There was seven balloons making me smile, I grabbed the one with Lee and Sin name on it. I opened the bag to see three iPhone chargers then a necklace case. It was a diamond puzzle piece with the words "missing piece". 

"Since we can't get matching tattoos right now, we got matching necklaces." Lee said smiling. 

"And since you always breaking a damn charger, we bought you three different ones." Sin rolled her eyes making me laugh and hug them. 

"What do y'all necklace say?" I asked as they put the pieces together. "We have found the missing piece. Aww." 

"You're annoying." Sin laughed.

I opened Jah and Kelz bag seeing a rose gold Rolex and I jumped up squealing. "I just want a rollie rollie rollie." I sung dancing as they laughed.

"Yahhh!" Sin joined me in dancing making me laugh then finished going through a bag seeing a bank card making me squint my eyes in confusion. 

"It's your card, you have money in your savings, a lot of damn money but it's for emergencies and you can add money to your account whenever." 

"Omg, it's fucking lit!" I yelled then tucked my lips in. "My bad." 

I opened the gift from my mom seeing a picture of her, my grandmother and me in a frame making me smile and rub my finger over it. Then it was a gold necklace the same one my grandmom was wearing in the picture. Lastly, it was something wrapped up in paper, I squinted my eyes unwrapping it then screamed as my eyes went wide.

"No you didn't!" I yelled falling back on my bed.

"What is it?" Lee asked.

"A Wii!" I yelled making them laugh at my childish antics. "When I was little we always played the Wii but someone stole it and I cried for nearly two weeks for it."

"More like two months." 

"They don't even make these anymore, how did you get it?" I asked pulling out the games she bought.

"I'll make anything happen for you." She said making me smile as I got up to hug her. 

"Okay, well we have to go to work and y'all have to go to school so we'll leave but y'all better not be late for school." Jah said hugging us.

All three of my parents walked out as I grabbed the bag that said Sef, which I was surprised to see since we weren't talking. The bag only had a bunch of hundreds in it making me laugh Roddy bag was the same way as I rolled my eyes smiling. In Jace bag was a matte black apple laptop and a few bills, I just left the money in the bag going to Zeph heavy ass bag. 

I grabbed the apple box in confusion then opened it seeing it was a new phone, nothing was wrong with my phone I smiled and turned it on. Pushing the new phone to the side, I grabbed the Kate Spade necklace box seeing it was a name necklace making me roll my eyes. Lastly, there was a custom made blanket with pictures of me and him on it.

"This is so cute." I smiled hugging on the soft ass blanket.

"Jace take notes." I heard Sin say as I laughed.

"Aight, I gotta get dressed now." I smiled knowing my birthday was finally going to be a memorable day.

I thanked a boy named Greg as he said happy birthday to me, I walked towards the cafeteria seeing Lee and Sin already sitting down. Before I could even sit down, Izzy stopped me with a big smile on his face making me raise a eyebrow.

"Wassup?" I asked. 

"Can you come with me? I got a gift for you."

"You tryna kill me?" I smirked following him to the hallway.

"Yeah, Imma kill you in school where it's cameras everywhere." He said blankly making me laugh.

"I've seen more dumber criminals," I said honestly. 

"Yeah, you." He remarked making me punch him in his arm. 

I followed him into the courtyard where it was a few balloons connected to a bag making me smile, he grabbed my forearm and sat me on the bench that was in the courtyard making me confused. He pulled out a needle and popped three of the balloons as confetti fell out over me making me laugh.

"That was dope as hell." I smiled moving some confetti from my mouth.

"Here, I got you a gift."

"You didn't have to Izzy."

"I been ordered it before we even stopped talking so yeah, I did have to." He smiled handing me the bag. 

I opened the box and saw a diamond-shaped anklet with diamonds on it makes me smile, I always wanted an anklet and he remembered that. I laughed pulling out the purple monkey that said I love you on it, I smiled looking down at it. 

"Press the hand."

"What?" 

"Press the hand." Doing as he said I pressed it as my heart stopped. 

"Look at my beautiful girl on her birthday, I love you Princess Nobi." My grandmothers voice said making tears come into my eyes. I hugged the monkey tightly as tears slipped out my eyes while I pressed the button again. 

"How did you get her voice? How did you do this?" I asked sniffling. 

"Remember that time for your 13th birthday, you had that party? I had a video on my old phone and gave it to the people so they can put it in the monkey. You like it?" He wiped my face.

"I love it, this the best gift I ever got." I hugged him.

"Despite our past and everything that happened between us, I still love you, I'll always love you. You're the first girl besides my family that never left and I pushed you away but I just want my friend back."

"Izzy, I can't trust you enough to be your friend." 

"Why can't you trust me? Because of the shit I said about your mother and father? I apologize but I was just being a mad ass nigga. Everything I said, everybody in that room already knew all that before I even said anything."

"You still threw that in my face."

"Because I knew it would hurt you for the moment. My intentions weren't to hurt you forever because if they were I could of said shit only you and I know. I was wrong and I can't apologize enough but I miss my friend Aanvi." 

And, Izzy was right. He's seen things and I've told him things no one else knew. He knew my darkest secrets and it was vice versa. The shit he knows make my parents being crackheads seem like it was nothing, like it was a normal thing.

"You're right and I miss you too but I'm in a relationship-"

"No, strictly friends Aanvi. I'm not trying to take you away from Mitch or anything like that. You're the one I been through everything with, you was there when my father walked away from me, and I was there through ya depression stages. You are my best friend." 

"I have to see what Mitch say about it, if he's not comfortable with me being friends with you then I can't Izzy. I love you but I'm in love with my boyfriend and if he says no then it's a no." 

Nodding, he stood up just as the bell rung. "I understand, Happy birthday No. You deserve all the happiness coming your way." 

I watched him walk away and looked down at my monkey then touched her necklace, this was really the best thing I ever received in my life. I couldn't wait to tell Zeph about it and show it to him so he can share my excitement.

"My favorites!" Zariah shouted as Sin, Lee and I walked into her salon. She was straightening some girl hair as we walked in further.

"Hey sis." Lee said as we all hugged her. 

"You figured out what you want?" Zariah asked looking at me. 

"Yes, I want a blunt cut bob." 

"Ouu, yes you bout to look bomb." Sin looked up from her phone. 

"You want black or a color?" 

"Crimson red."

"Yo, I'm picturing you and you so damn fine. How you feel about incest?" Lee said making me laugh.

"Nasty bitch." 

"Okay, side part or middle?" 

"Middle closure." 

"Give me like three minutes. You need ya hair washed or no?"

"Did it last night, all I need you to do is to braid it and sew it." 

"Three minutes." She repeated.

"Where Zeph?" Lee asked.

"I don't fucking know but he pissing me off."

"Why?" Sin asked.

"I haven't spoken to him all day; he said happy birthday on Instagram and Snap but didn't respond to any of my texts and not answering my calls." 

"It's his birthday, Jace and them got him turned up, they have been lit since yesterday," Riah said making me shake my head.

"I ain't even mad 'cause when my twenty-first birthday gets here I ain't gon know what sober is," I said making them laugh.

"When I give birth I ain't gon know what sober means." Lee rolled her eyes making me laugh.

I got in Zariah chair as her other client got up, she immediately began braiding my hair. I loved getting my hair done by her because she work so damn fast. We continued making conversation as she did my hair, I was also looking up nail ideas so I can get my nails done after this. 

"Have you spoken with my mom?" Zariah asked looking at Lee.

"I haven't even spoken to your brother." She said making us laugh. 

"Y'all still beefing? That's probably why he be acting like somebody killed his dog." 

"I don't care either, I tried getting back with him but he kept bringing up the situation so I let that mango." 

"Y'all don't talk?" 

"Unless he asking about a appointment or talking about the baby, I don't respond. I don't even respond when he say he got food." 

"Oh shit, this breakup might be serious." Sin said as we all looked at Lee.

"It is, I refuse to be stressed out during my pregnancy. I'm going to slay this pregnancy speaking of I wanna do a maternity shoot." 

"You little though," I told her looking at her stomach which you could barely see even though she was going on five months. 

"I know, Mom said I'm going to get big like crazy during my seventh or eighth."

"That's how I was," Zariah said.

"I'll be six going onto seven months on my birthday so I wanna do the shoot then, I want y'all in the pictures too." She said looking at me and Sin.

"Oouu sis, I feel honored." I held my heart smiling.

"I don't think I should be in the pictures." Sin said making us look at her.

"Why not?" Zariah asked.

"Cause Imma look bomb as fuck and they gon be like damn who the fuck is thaat? I don't wanna take attention off of you." She stuck her tongue out making me laugh.

"You so annoying." Lee rolled her eyes laughing. 

"I'm finished Nobi, you wanna leave it straight right?" 

"Yes." I said looking in the mirror and then smiling. "Who thattt?"

"You really look good." Sin said recording me as I smiled.

I walked into the nail part of the salon going to sit down so I could get my feet done, after I got my feet done I was going to get my nails then my eyelashes and eyebrows done. It was five o'clock and I should be out of there before 8 so I can get dress and won't be in a rush.

We were now back in my room as Sin did my makeup, I wanted to try it since her makeup always slayed. I was currently sitting still as she finished my eyebrows. She wouldn't allow me to look in the mirror but I could tell it was nice.

"Alright, I'm done let me just spray this mist and set on your face." 

"What's that for?" 

"So your makeup could last." 

"Ouuu, fancy." I smiled making her laugh as she sprayed my face.

Lee was waiting so Sin can do her makeup but she was only getting her eyebrows and eye shadow done, she didn't like caking her face up. I looked in the mirror and widen my eyes in shock, I looked really different, a good different.

"So?"

"Wow sissy, you look older and beautiful," Lee said making me agree.

"Swear I'm bout to learn how to do my own makeup, I look fucking good." I smiled. "This highlight is everything." 

"Thank you boo." She smiled.

I stood up lotioning down my legs and arms then sprayed my body with a lil perfume. I took off the robe putting on the strapless drawstring bra pulling it so my boobs came closer together next I put on a regular black thong. I took my dress off the hanger admiring it before I put it on.

I slipped on the Teal off-the-shoulder velvet dress then looking in the mirror as it hugged my body. I gained so much weight but it looked fantastic on my body, my hips were curvier and my butt sat up more. If I was single, I would of made sure I got somebody father tonight. I smirked putting on the Gucci wrap up black heels. I put on the necklace that said Mitch then a few bracelets.

"I been saying this all day but you look fucking good." Sin said as I laughed.

"Happy birthday, you look pretty. Dankk youu." I said making them bust out in laughter. 

"Pork in the porking lot." Lee laughed.

"Y'all funny as fuck BriBri." Sin said as I smacked the counter laughing. 

Lee makeup was finished and so was Sin's so all they had to do was get dress and I knew that'll take them a minute so I walked out going into the living room where my mom, Jah and Kellz were sitting there talking. Once they heard heels they stopped talking as I came down the stairs. My mom and Kellz both covered their mouth making me smile.

"Stooop!" I laughed as they started taking pictures.

"You look beautiful princess," Jah said as he kissed my cheek.

"My highlighter." I frowned making them laugh.

I sat in the living room making my mom take pictures of me, she should of been a photographer cause her pictures are lit honey. I posted three on Instagram then the same ones on Snapchat as I heard it going off. I smirked knowing people were sweating me. 

Lee came down the stairs first in a maroon strapless bodycon dress, her little bump poked out making her look so pretty. She was in some open toe thigh high boots making her a few centimeters taller than me, she had on her princess cut ring Sef gave her making me smirk. Her hair was in blonde jumbo lemonade braids making her head look bigger than it was but she still was bomb. She didn't say anything to us as she went in the kitchen eating a slice of pizza as I laughed hoping she didn't waste anything on herself.

Finally, Sin came down in a satin yellow two piece high waist pants set with heels you couldn't see due to the long pants. Her jet black bone straight thirty inches of hair swayed every time she walked. This yellow complimented her brown skin making her glo, I loved yellow on brownskin people. 

"Y'all are snatching my edges," Kellz said making us laugh.

"Take some pictures," Jah said making Lee put her pizza down as we all posed for pictures. 

Sin and I bent down kissing each side of Lee stomach as she smiled as our fingers made a heart, I uploaded that picture and sat down. I grabbed my bag and put everything I needed it in then checked my notifications hoping whoever was coming to get us would hurry up. I was ready to go out now. 

Just as I thought that the doorbell rung, I stood up putting my bag on my shoulder. Zeph walked in the living room but then stopped seeing me, he stood there with his mouth ajar just looking at me making me laugh. I looked at him observing him and my man was truthfully a full course meal. 

He had on a black Gucci button up shirt with black distressed Phillip Plein jeans and Balenciaga Runs. He had a fresh shape up and his beard that was growing in was trimmed neatly making his face look so mature. He had a Cuban chain around his neck along with a few more gold and diamond chains. He had a rose gold presidential Rolex on his wrist and a ring on his pinky finger, I pulled my phone out taking a picture of him. 

"You look so damn good." I smiled.

"You look more than beautiful." He said making everybody laugh.

"Wait, I wanna get pictures of y'all." Sin said.

"Take pictures by the car, they'll look better." He said and I squinted in confusion.

We followed him out and my mouth dropped at the car I just knew belonged to him. It was a blue Lamborghini Aventador SV, I saw my own reflection in the car. This was the most beautiful car I have ever seen in my life.

"That hoe clean," Jah said making us agree.

I took a few pictures by myself by the car then a few with my sisters and a lot with Zeph. My favorite picture of us was when the butterfly doors went up, I had one foot in the car as he was on his side with one foot in the car but we were both looking at the camera. That picture was beautiful as hell. I posted it then sat in the car.

"Wait, what about Sin and Lee?" I asked.

"Jace and Sef on their way for them; they gon get there before us anyway; we gotta make a stop." 

"Okay, see you guys. Love y'all."

"We love you too," Jah said as the door closed.

Zeph pulled off and hit a sharp turn making me hold on and put my seat belt on. After glaring at him he put his on too and I smiled looking over the interior of it.

"You rented this?" I asked.

"No, it's mine." 

"What? This looks like a lot of damn money." 

"My uncles bought it, promise it ain't put a dent in their pockets."

"I'm tired of being around y'all rich motherfuckers." I said making him laugh. "Where were you all day?" 

"I had to work and I was hungover as fuck, Jace and Sef got me so damn drunk yesterday."

"You twenty, babe." I rubbed his head making him smile.

"I could get you pregnant now." He smirked making me roll my eyes.

"Try twenty or twenty-two because I can't be pregnant on my twenty-first birthday, I'm finna be drunk that whole year," I told him making him laugh. 

"I'm just saying if you get pregnant, it will not be a mistake."

"Birth control and plan b got me." 

"Oh yeah, imma fuck you up. I saw that video Sin and Lee put up this morning."

"I say you curse them out because they the ones who put it up, I had no control." 

"Mhm."

"Where are we going?" 

"I gotta get some money out of my bank." 

"I wanna see my Nova." I pouted, I missed her. 

"That's exactly what she said too, she like I wanna see my Nofia. I had to crush her dreams, I'm like that's all me baby girl."

"You're an asshole, I am her Nofia. That's my babylove."

"Hmph." He scoffed making me laugh then looked me over. "That's a M on ya nails?" 

"Yeah, I was going to get a Z but everybody refers me to LadyMitch so I figured I put a M." 

"That's lit." 

"Oh yeah, I have to ask a question and I don't know if I really want the answer to it so imma ask later so it won't ruin my mood." 

He looked at me squinting but nodded, he grabbed my hand kissing my knuckles making me smile. I leaned my head back as he got out his money out the ATM, I looked over at him and smiled, my boyfriend the finest nigga I ever seen.

"How much you take out?" I asked seeing he now had a three stacks in his lap.

"Three thou." 

"For fucking what? That's a lot of money."

"Promise you ain't putting a dent in my pockets." 

"I got the internship babe," I announced.

"When you start?" 

"Sometime in April."

"Proud of you." He glanced at me.

I signed up for an internship at a social worker office, a thousand people signed up signed up for the same position as me and they picked me out of everybody. I was the 1 out of 1000. I was ecstatic, this was only getting me a step closer to helping out kids who go through things I went through or worse.

"Thank you, baby." I rubbed the side of his face as he licked his lips.

We pulled up to the club within five minutes, there was a long ass line going down the block. Zeph parked right in front of the club not even caring about the no parking sign. He pressed a button as the doors went up making me laugh, he got out then jogged to my side reaching his hand towards it so I can grab it. 

Grabbing his hand, he pressed another button and the doors went down. He put his hand on my back guiding me in front of him. We walked right in front of the line as he waved to some people and said hey.

"Oh shit y'all, Mitch and LadyMitch has finally blessed us with their presence." The DJ Said making us laugh. "LadyMitch looking like the snack, appetizer, salad, the full course meal and the dessert. Damn!" 

Zeph looked up at him making me laugh, he hated when people complimented me. It didn't matter whether you were female or male, he didn't like nobody looking at me at all. "Relax babe."

"I'll knock his ass out." He said as I laughed.

I followed him to the section where Jace, Sef, Roddy, Sin, the twins, and few more of Zeph friends was. When we walked in there Sin yelled and hugged me like she ain't just see me fifteen minutes ago, I laughed hugging her back then saying thank you to everybody who said happy birthday. 

"Zeph, I'm telling you. Imma fuck it up tonight." I said giving him a warning. 

"This the only time I'm allowing it, so go all out princess." He said making me smile, he don't know what he just did.
