You woke up to the sound of rain pattering against your window. Opening your eyes, you check your phone and it read 3:02 a.m. "Come on" you mutter before lying back down. You feel Lestats arms wrap around you and pull you closer to his chest. "did the rain wake you up cherie?" he mumbled. you shift in his arms and turn around to face him. "Mhmm." you hum, resting your face on his chest. you feel his fingers run up and down your spine and you sigh contently. this perfect moment being etched into your brain forever. Smiling, you tuck yourself even further into his chest and fall back asleep to the background noise of the rain.
