Tsuna was afraid of Reborn. Who wouldn't when a stranger, a baby no less, appeared out of nowhere, said that he would train you to become something you had never thought of and began to shoot at you or slap you or anything related to the word 'hurt' whenever you do something wrong in his eyes?

Because of that, Tsuna was always wary of Reborn and would be cautious around him. But somehow, along the way, Tsuna had unconsciously begun to trust the hitman and began to worry and care about him.

When Reborn was hit by the 10 years bazooka, Tsuna was confused as to why he felt worried when he should have been happy when the hitman's future-self didn't appear. It also made him become even more confused when he felt relieved when he saw the hitman was alive, even though he had to wear something strange when Tsuna went to the future.

But what made him confused the most was when he saw Reborn getting sucked in by Bermuda's warphole. He didn't even realised that his body had moved, hand outstretched towards the hitman and his mouth screaming Reborn's name.

Tsuna realised that he must have begun to care about the hitman when he found himself getting mad at Reborn and challenged him to take the boss watch from him by force. And when he saw Reborn smiling at him and thanked him for saving the hitman, Tsuna felt a wave of happiness flooding inside him and so he set aside his confusement for awhile as he enjoyed the warm feeling.

Tsuna finally understood that he had thought of Reborn as someone very important to him so when Reborn got hurt while protecting him from a shot when they were surrounded, he raged. Seeing Reborn fall in front of him caused him to snap and without any hesitation, he began to take out the men surrounding them in 10 seconds flat.

With eyes still burning orange, he knelt beside Reborn who was healing himself with his Sun Flames. "Dame-Tsuna, you should have controlled youself," Reborn said with a bit struggle that didn't go unnoticed by Tsuna.

Tsuna's frown deepen. "Reborn." His deep voice that he never knew he had penetrated Reborn's ears. "You are one of my precious people and family. There is no way I'll be able to keep calm when I saw one of my famillies fall like that. Not even you." Tsuna said.

Reborn was shocked but he didn't show it. He only tilted his fedora down with a bit of a struggle to hide a smile that was tugging on his lips. After that, Tsuna remained beside Reborn and kept a lookout for any dangers like a predator. When the Vongola's medic team arrived, Tsuna was finally able to relaxed.

Following Reborn inside the ambulance, Tsuna smiled as his eyes clouded with worry. Reborn only smirked at his ex-student. "Since when did I become someone you cared, Dame-Tsuna?" Reborn asked. Tsuna only stared at Reborn. "Well, definitely not when we first met. Maybe when the future battle started?" Tsuna said uncertainly. Reborn could only snort in response.

Tsuna pout at that. "Just focus on healing yourself, Reborn." Tsuna said which Reborn only scoffed in response. "You're 10 years too early to tell me what to do."

Tsuna only rolled his eyes at Reborn before breaking into a soft smile. "You know, when we first met, I never thought you would be someone very important to me. But now, I'm just glad." Tsuna said.

Reborn gave Tsuna a smile that Tsuna rarely seen. "Of course." Reborn said smugly before falling unconscious, fully trusting Tsuna to protect his back if he would be in trouble.
