"I hate getting flashbacks from things I don't want to remember."

"AAAAAAAAHHH!!!"

The mansion was filled with the heart-wrenching scream in the middle of the night.

Tsuna who was signing paperworks in his office immediately went out of the office and ran towards the door, not caring what others would say when he ran like a lunatic. Dignity be damn!

When he reached the room, he stopped running, catch his breath, knocked on the door and entered the room.

The room was dark but Tsuna could make out two silhouttes, one was on the bed while the other stood beside the bed near the other. "Chrome?" Tsuna softly called out.

He slowly made his way to the bed before sitting at the edge of the bed. "Mukuro," Tsuna shortly said to the person who was standing. Mukuro only nodded in acknowledgement.

Tsuna shifted his focus back to the girl who was trembling and clinging herself to Mukuro. "Chrome," he softly called out again. Chrome turned her head to him, revealing the tears that were streaming down her face.

Tsuna felt his heart break a little when he saw Chrome -his half-mist, his guardian, his family, his- looked so broken. He slowly took Chrome's shaking hand -not missing the flinch- and slowly stroked it as a way to comfort her.

Mukuro only rested an arm around her, squeezing her shoulder once in awhile.

As Tsuna stroked Chrome's hand, he hummed a lullaby that Nana had always sung to him when he had a nightmare.

When Chrome finally calmed down,Tsuna stopped humming the lullaby and only continued to stroke her hand. Mukuro had seated himself beside Chrome, now hugging her frame while stroking her hair.

"Are you alright now, Chrome?" Tsuna asked. Chrome only nodded as he gave a weak smile at him. Tsuna smiled in relief at that. He squeezed Chrome's hand before getting up to leave.

"B-bossu...." Chrome's voice -so weak and tired- drew the two male's attention. Tsuna quickly sat on the bed again. "Yes, Chrome?"

Chrome fidgetted a little before looking at Tsuna. "W-will you.... leave me....?" Chrome slowly asked. Memories about her nightmares flooded her mind. About her parents abandoning her. Then, about people she cared leave her. That's why she screamed.

Tsuna noticed how Mukuro tensed. He also saw the fear that flashed through Chrome's eyes. As he stared into Chrome's eyes, he could see a swirl of emotions in it. Slowly, he gave a gentle smile at Chrome and Mukuro.

"I will never leave you. No matter what. Even if the whole world abandon you, I will never abandon you. Not now, not ever." Tsuna said with a gentle yet firm tone.

Chrome was shocked along with Mukuro. Tsuna could only chuckle before bringing both of them into a hug. "No matter what past you have, I will always treat you guys like a family. Because you are my family. No matter what everyone says." Tsuna said affectionately.

Chrome and Mukuro could only freeze in shock before they slowly responded the hug awkwardly. They can't help but smile at what Tsuna had said.

Silently, they vowed to protect him, to protect Tsuna, their sky, their family, their home.
