"You take care now alright?" Seri shouted. She had gone into the woods a few hours ago to meet up with a couple of friends of hers. She couldn't meet with them out in plain sight because they where still apart of Bowser's army, so she had to meet with them in the woods. She began to fly back toward the Mushroom Kingdom. She thought about a new prank she wanted to pull on (Y/N), loosing her attention on where she was going in the process. 'I'm going to get them so good!' Seri smiled mischievously. Then she ran into something. She fell to the ground and looked up to see Giana. "Sorry." Seri said. Giana just shrugged and walked away. Seri sat there for a second, slightly confused. She wondered what Giana was doing in the woods but then shrugged it off. She got up and was about to fly again but then heard something. It sounded like voices. Seri curiously followed the voices until she was on the edge of a clearing. Within the clearing she saw a jester, a bat king and a beanish. She stayed silent and hidden. She honestly thought Dimentio wasn't coming back after the last time he showed up, if he managed to survive at all. "What is happening?" Fawful asked. "If ve are going to find the Stardust Pouches ve are going to need help. After all, ve are greatly outnumbered by the heroes." Antasma explained. "Ve don't haff much of a chance of finding the pouches first if the Heroes find out about our plan. So I plan to summon the shadows......" "Oh! We are the ingredients on the sandwich of evil but the shadows are the needed bread! I have chortles!" Fawful said happily. Dimentio and Antasma gave each other sideways glances but just shrugged. Seri didn't stick around much longer, she wanted to inform Mario immediately. She stepped away from the clearings quietly as possible before quickly kicking of the ground and flying off.

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to-" Leah apologized. "No you did great....any other things you can do that I should know about though?" Mr.L asked. "I read somewhere that I can give up my spectral body so someone else can live." Leah mentioned. "....what?" L asked. "I only partially understand it." Leah said. "Guys!" A new voice chimed in. Seri rushed up to them, not seeming to mind that Mr.L was there at the moment. "Seri?" Leah asked. Seri tried to talk as she was catching her breath. "Dimentio........team......Antasma......Fawful......shadows.....stardust pouches." Mr.L and Leah stayed silent, trying to piece together what the bone paragoomba was saying. "Stardust pouches? Like the legend you where telling me this morning?" Mr.L finally asked Leah. "What legend?" Seri asked. "The legend of the Crystalline Star. A magical star that takes away blessings and powers. It destroyed a kingdom once." Leah responded. "Well if that's what their after then we have to tell everyone! Dimentio, Antasma and Fawful are summoning the shadows to help them." Seri said. Leah nodded. "We need to tell Princess Peach and Mario and Luigi then. Seri, head to the castle, Princess Peach is meeting with Daisy and Rosalina there, L please go tell Mario and Luigi, I'll be rounding up a few others." Leah said. Seri instantly dashed off while Mr.L was a bit more hesitant. Once they where off Leah began to get some of their friends.

Around twenty minutes later people had gathered in the castle. Mario, Luigi, (Y/N), Mr.L, Leah, Seri, Peach, Daisy, Rosalina and Juliet. "Seri, please explain to them what you said you saw." Leah said. "Ok. Dimentio seems to have teamed up with Antasma and Fawful. They are working together to get Stardust pouches which I now believe are for the Crystalline Star. They where summoning the shadows to help them." Seri explained. Leah explained what the Crystalline Star was and the others glanced at each other in slight worry. "If that's the case then we need to get them before they do." Mario said. "We don't know where the Stardust Pouches are through." Luigi mentioned. "Did it say anything in the book Leah?" Peach asked. Leah sook her head. "There was something I couldn't read but there where no clues on where the pouches where, at least, none that I could read." Leah admitted. Rosalina fiddled with her wand a bit it thought. "Bring me the book," she finally said. "I might be able to find out what it says." Leah nodded and left to find the book. Silence enveloped the room. People looked around slightly awkwardly, not knowing what to say or do, until a crash came from somewhere in the castle. "What was that?" Seri asked. "Let's find out! Everyone split up." Mario said. Everyone split up to search the castle. (Y/N) stayed with Mario however. They checked any rooms they came across as they went up the stairs to the higher points in the castle. "Mario!" (Y/N) called out. "Over here!" Mario ran over to see what (Y/N) called about. On the ground in a guest room of the castle glass was scattered everywhere and a window just above it was broken. "From the positioning of the glass it seems like whoever did this went upstairs!" (Y/N) said as they began running upstairs. Mario followed quickly. They made it to the attic. There wasn't much sign of anyone being here recently. Mario and (Y/N) stayed silent for a moment, trying to find out if the culprit.

It appeared that the culprit was also trying to remain silent, however (Y/N) still noticed movement in the corner of their eye.They darted for whatever had moved, causing it to break out in a run as well. (Y/N) noticed that a safe in the attic where the movement was had been opened as they ran past. They couldn't seem to catch whoever this was as they where trying not to run into anything. Luckily Mario headed off the criminal and tackled them, causing them to drop what they where holding. While Mario struggled with keeping his enemy down he noticed it looked just liked him, a shadow him. (Y/N) picked up what Shadow Mario had dropped to see it was a small pouch. It wasn't very heavy but when shaken  just a little bit they heard many tiny things moving. Inside the pouch seemed to be thousands of tiny purple crystals. "(Y/N)....is that?" Mario asked as he continued to struggle to keep shadow Mario down. "I think it is." (Y/N) mumbled. They where holding a Stardust Pouch. Shadow Mario then kicked Mario off of him and stole back the pouch. Like a flash Mario was after him again. (Y/N) ran ahead of Shadow Mario in order to block him off from any escape attempts. Shadow Mario tried to dash around them but (Y/N) kept moving to keep themselves in front of Shadow Mario. Mario caught up with shadow Mario and jumped on his head repeatedly. Shadow Mario fell The the ground and seemed to seep into it until he fully disappeared, leaving the Stardust Pouch behind. (Y/N) picked it up just as the door opened to reveal their friends, even Leah who was back with the book. "We came over as quickly as we could when we heard fighting." Luigi said. "It was Shadow Mario." (Y/N) said. Leah looked at the pouch in (Y/N)'s hands. "You have one." She said to which (Y/N) nodded.

Rosalina was given the book and began to read. Once she was finished she looked up at the line of people in front of her. "I believe I can send you to these places using my magic. There are an uneven number of you though so someone is going to be alone." Rosalina said. "You aren't coming?" Mr.L asked, to which Rosalina simply shook her head. "I will also use my magic so that when you find a Stardust pouch it will lead you to the next one." Everyone nodded. "Any questions?" Rosalina asked. "Is L going to betray us again?" Seri asked flatly. "I learned my lesson last time. Besides, I need to be there for my little ghost." Mr.L joked. Leah looked away with a little red dusting her cheeks. Rosalina shook her head slightly with a small smile at the joking. "Alright then, good luck." Rosalina said. It only took a little bit of Rosalina's magic for everything to go black for her friends.
