Chapter 1

Present day...

The sky above the Mushroom Kingdom was blanketed in dark clouds. Water droplets fell from the sky, landing hard on the ground, buildings and trees. It was so sudden and so hard that people just went to the nearest house. This meant that (Y/N), Seri, Leah, Mr.L, Luigi, Juliet and Giana where all stuck in (Y/N)'s house until the rain let up a bit. Seri talked with (Y/N), Juliet kept asking Luigi irrelevant questions, Mr.L was glaring at Giana, who was glaring back, and Leah kept quiet and read on the couch. "So....." (Y/N) said, running out of topics to talk about. "How are you getting along with Giana?" Seri asked. Giana was the newest resident in the Mushroom Kingdom, though she was a little intimidating in appearance. One could only assume though that it was because she was a cyclops. She was pretty quiet and most people got used to her and didn't mind her presence. Most people....Mr.L kept giving her these suspicious glares because her claims he saw her spying on him and Leah while they where training. People didn't know weather to believe him or not as he wasn't always the most trustworthy. (Y/N) personally had nothing wrong with Giana. "She's ok. It's a bit sad she doesn't talk much though, I'm sure we could be great friends if we got to know each other." (Y/N) smiled.

"So, what's your favorite color?" Juliet asked for the sixth time within the last hour. Luigi gave her a strange look. "Oh. Right. Green." Juliet mumbled sheepishly, a blush of embarrassment spread across her face. "I just running out of questions to ask." She mumbled. "How's Hamlet doing?" Luigi asked her. "Oh! He's doing great! He brought me an apple yesterday." Juliet said. "I saw him chasing it around yesterday. I almost tripped on the poor guy." Leah added in. "As long as your both ok it's fine." Juliet shrugged "Halmet knows how to handle himself." Of course the conversation would lead to Juliet's pet pig. "Whatcha reading?" Juliet asked Leah. Leah blushed slightly in embarrassment "A book of fairytales." She mumbled. "Why are you embarrassed about that? Fairytales are great!" Juliet exclaimed. "I don't know, I feel like people would just think I'm childish." Leah shrugged, closing the book. She stood up and put the book back on the bookshelf. She scanned the bookshelf for another book that would interest her and after a couple seconds, she found one. She took it off the bookshelf and looked it over. It was a brown hardcover book that had a simple title. Legends from all over. A but straight forward, but Leah did enjoy a good legend. (Y/N) walked up and looked at the book in Leah's hands. "I remember when my dad gave me that book." They smiled. "At that age I didn't care much for legends and Myths so I never really read it." They admitted. "I've always found legends and myths interesting....or as long as I can remember anyway. I don't really try to think back to my life, I get headaches when I try." Leah explained. "If you want you can keep it. I don't doubt that it's a good book but I don't think I'm ever really going to read it. Wouldn't want it just gathering dust." (Y/N) said. "Really?" Leah asked with uncertainty. "Yeah." (Y/N) smiled. "Looks like the rain is finally dying down." Seri said from the window. "That's good, I'll see you guys later, I have to go check in with Mario." Luigi said. He stood up and walked to the door, the rain now just a light drizzle. One by one everyone left (Y/N)'s house to go to their own homes.
